They recently moved over to 33rd, but still have the best chicken or lamb shish in town. They use real chunks of meat and are family owned. They are always the right choice.

Small place in Midtown with railroad-style hall. Big portions and good food. Totally worth the price and probably one of the best deal to get around Midtown.

Small no-frills breakfast and lunch spot. Type of place with coffee from the pot, large containers of sugar on every table, and homefries just assumed along with a good selection of omlettes.

Was visiting from Utah and this place was one of the best places in NYC. Prices were fair, and the staff extremely friendly! We were talking and they told us to come by later(to the bar next door) to hang out. It's too bad we didn't have time, because my group and I would've loved to chat longer! Captain's Cafe is a go-to for lunch – it's a hidden gem. The food is grear, and here's the kicker: you get a free beer, wine, or soda with your meal. Now, that's what I call a deal! It's the perfect spot to grab a bite and enjoy a complimentary drink. Definitely a win-win in my book.

For the past couple of years, this has been my go to spot for lunch delivery or to pick-up dinner on the way home. The owners make you feel welcome and like family. Their food is always fresh and delicious and made with love! A must try.

Do you ever go to a bar in midtown manhattan and it’s just inexplicable and confusing to you? Like why are there 6 guys here all sitting separately who are acting as if they all are the manager of the bar? And why is the lighting so bright? Did i walk through a portal into some sort of purgatory where I have to listen to the one guy in the bar who’s talking rant about how 5G is going to kill us forever? Didn’t have any food. Beer was good though thanks y’all

They have happy hour every day from 11am to 8pm, most draught beers for $5 (a couple of lagers for $4) and a lunch special before 3pm where you can get salads, wings or sandwiches and fries, plus a draught beer, for $10.95. Can't beat that value! Plus they have screens at the bar so you can watch sports. The perfect place to sit for an afternoon of Red Zone!

The chicken kabob was very tasty, and pleased it was not spicy. It was served on a bed of rice & a salad with tasty dressing. I amost couldn't finish it, only leaving a few spoonfuls of rice!

I was there as a Tourist in 2008. The breakfast was always good. Tasty bagels, cream cheese, jam and your happy. Very good prices and not so overcrowded. Good coffee

Been going here since they opened! Too bad they don't serve their bangin breakfast anymore! But those Char Burgers are the best! No other spot in nyc got Burgers that taste like theirs! And the Captain himself is a really cool dude!

Captains is a magical place. Better than Disney. You can’t walk in there and not have a good time. It’s fluorescent blue light really makes you feel like you’re walking into the gates of heaven. I don’t know another place where you can order a whole branzino, take a gummy bear shot, pet a dog and sing karaoke. As a native New Yorker, I’ve been to a lot of bars here and Captains is one of my favorites. 10/10 would recommend.

Mehmet, Cyrille, Deb, and Alok, are the best bartenders ever in the entire new work city. I can’t imagine how they thrive to a higher position considering their time accumulated and their consistent hospitality and immaculate communication to bar regulars. I would give them, and Tony and Primo 5 Michelin Stars if I could.

Came up on a bit of a whim from Maryland to see a friend in the Marines during fleet week. The staff were excellent and greeted us immediately, and surprisingly it wasn’t very busy. The wings were good, the drinks were great. We ordered a round of tequila shots and the bartender gave us another round on the house. Absolutely great time and highly recommend this place.

Fun places to have a drink at the bar, basically a dive bar inside of what seems like a lunch spot. Locals hang out and it has a nice bartender who makes great drinks and good vibe.

The service is impeccable. The owner is the nicest guy you'll ever meet, and he is so good at his job. Food is very reasonably priced, prepared within minutes, and tastes amazing. The bagels are also really good. Great location about 5 minutes from the Empire State, and if you stay at Hotel 32/32 you get free breakfast here every day!!! If you're hungry for breakfast, or brunch, you're in the right place!

We had their fried chicken wings, pita and hummus. The wings were so freshly made, tender and juicy. The hummus was perfectly creamy. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Must go if you’re in midtown!

Amazingly good food here for a bar. As good as a normal, sit-down restaurant. We had the lamb kebab dishes. Excellent. Negroni delicious and perfectly made. Service excellent. Staff is gracious and welcoming. Bar is a normal shotgun-style bar with music and flat screen tvs with sports.

Went here this past Friday. My friend "ex girl" took me out for a late late birthday celebration-birthday was Nov17. This place is a hidden gem. I came for a late breakfast they were kind, quick and the food is yummy. The prices are something to brag about as well! I got the bacon omlet, it was plenty of food. It came with home style potatoes and toast. This was actually the breakfast included in my hotel stay at Hotel 32/32. Great way to start a Manhattan morning!

Maybe we came at a bad time, but the food wasn't as large as the pictures made it. At 9 pm, it was almost like the kitchen was closed but they didn't want to turn us away. The food was hot and fresh, surprisingly didn't taste old and grimy, but there wasn't a lot of good meat pieces. Beer pours were on point, as a pub should be. Maybe just come for the beers, it's a nice quiet bar in an otherwise crazy section.

The place was very clean, and the employees were nice. We went for dinner, the food was pretty good, not bad. I'd go back again. It was quiet but we like that, we went when it wasn't too busy.

Like most other restaurants on the island, Captain's has limited seating. The food is just enough to refuel you for your walk to a grander place and they have decent lunch specials. A friend and I have tried the burgers which were overly charred and it masked any taste that the meat could have had. Nevertheless, we doused them in ketchup and moved on.

We thought it would have a Greek taste and we were wrong. NO flavor chicken kabob, and less then imaginable looking place. Price was 50 bucks for 2 kabobs and one glass of beer.

It's a small bar, easy access to get in and out. Limited seating. But the bartenders were very nice. Watched the UEFA championships here and had a good time

This is listed on Yelp as a Turkish Gastropub but the website lists it as an Irish Pub. This is no Gastropub and it’s no Irish Pub, it’s a bar having an identity crisis. Someone please explain to the management team-of which I saw no one-the definition of each of those terms please. This is a dive bar and if it embraced that because we all love a great dive bar and NYC has so few left, I’d have given it 5 stars across the board. But, again, someone would need to define the term dive bar to whoever is in charge. This place should be packed every night but the identity crisis is preventing that. Service was good enough, food was good but even the food would be better if it was served from a food truck. I did see 2 patrons very obviously over-served but the bartender didn’t seem to care as I watched him continue to serve them. A new leader is all this place needs. Who recognizes its possibilities, understands it for what it is and seizes the opportunity. There’s 20 better places within 2 blocks, who aren’t Irish Turkish Gastropub Pubs. Oh and the Branzino is frozen.

The service and atmosphere were great. We really appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The food though was bland and borderline burnt. My boyfriend did not like the Manhattan he ordered, there was nothing particularly special about it.

My husband and I both ordered burgers and they were so flavorless. There must have been 0 seasoning on them, the buns were burnt, and they were like $22 each. 1000% not worth the money even slightly. The drinks were decent, had a really good cider on tap. But $90 for 2 drinks and 2 burgers is insane, even in New York. We went to some AMAZING spots and never paid more than $70 with a 20% tip.

Really not good.. We have been waiting just for a breakfast, over 40 minutes and for the first cup of coffee 15 min. Than the order also came wrong..- great start in a new day.

The owner of this place is a scam artist. He got my girlfriend and myself to come in promising to buy us a drink, we agreed because we had a friendly 5-minute conversation with him outside of the bar. He was so friendly we decided to stay for another round of drinks before we left just not to be rude. I gave the bartender my credit card to hold as my girlfriend and I just ordered two vodka sodas. The owner continued to bring shots over to us saying they were on him, however when I got my bill it was $65 for two vodka sodas? At a dive bar? He charged us for the shots he said were on him! Scumbag move and I will never be back.

Food and drinks were terrible! Atmosphere was horrible. They were making repairs very close to us while we were trying to eat. The owner walked by and didn't speak or thamk us for coming to his s**thole place... Waiter was very nice.
