Very nice restaurant with wonderful, atmosphere, food and service. Very expensive, no red wines by the glass under $30. Huge bread service. Pastas were amazing, fettuccines, one with squid ink and three types of fish the other veal ragu both exquisite. Caprese salad excellent.

There is just so much more care in everything they do at this restaurant….We felt extremely special being guests at this restaurant. Well, we felt like what we are - part of the neighbourhood community. Everyone was so attentive. Tony in particular is an icon! We were there for a late lunch. I had the watermelon mojito and it was made with fresh watermelon. The bartender checked in personally whether I liked it or not. It’s so rare for such great service to occur! My cocktail had a perfect level of alcohol, freshness and sweetness. The food was interesting but not in a way that it is fussy. It just felt healthy and made with an absolute sense of care that you felt in every bite. The individual tastes of the varied ingredients were exquisite. You could tell that the owner personally developed the bread recipe. The air holes and bounciness of the bread were to be admired! The octopus and seared calamari left me waking up this morning with a wish to go back for dinner right this evening. Oh, I should mention that we also had a delicious gluten free clam pasta and a great mixed salad. It’s the combination of exquisite homemade food made with love and sprinkled with care that should make you want to go there.

Came to celebrate an occasion and this choice did not disappoint. The extensive menu and list of specials were impressive, leaving me to choose between multiple interesting options. Moreover, the new age, contemporary decor was eclectic and exciting, in this traditional setting. Don’t skip the dessert. An extremely impressive institution with incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff.

High class Italian establishment on the upper east side. Waiters impressively memorise the extensive specials menu. Eclectic arty decor. Staff seem friendly enough, but sensed that solo diners weren’t as welcomed as all the couples and foursomes.

The hospitality and service were top notch. The food was great, drinks tasty, nice place to stop before or after a day at The Met. Coat check is wonderful and wheelchair accessible. Homemade sausage was delicious.

The food was quite good :) the service was amazing. The interior was cute - love the walls. It has fancy tablecloth seating and the crowd was quite on the older side so not really a young person’s vibe, but was good nonetheless.

WONDERFUL!! Not sure if I like it quite as much as I do Sistina (by the same owner). Primarily because Caravaggio is under construction awnings so the outdoors is not as pleasant. Food and staff, however are great. We had the caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes, the sashimi, the fettuccine vongole (fab) and the vitello tonnato. And for dessert a refreshing rhubarb sundae. Very attentive staff.

Terrible experience. The food was awful. We were overcharged, and the drinks were brought only when we were already leaving. The shrimp tasted like cheap frozen shrimp, definitely not fresh. Service was slow and careless, no apologies, no explanation. Prices are absolutely insane — $217 for one salad and two pastas. Very disappointing experience. Overpriced, low quality, and not worth it at all. Never coming back.

I put my card down for a reservation, i showed up for my reservation and had a pleasant meal with my parents. My parents picked up the check and we left. Fast forward 2 weeks and I get a $400 charge on my credit card from this place. I was not even in the city at the time of this charge? DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!!

My experience last night Saturday was disgraceful. I have always gone to Carravago for special occasions. We sat down and my friends ordered 2 glasses of Cabernet. Waiter comes back and says no more Cabernet by the glass. Ok so they tasted and accepted another wine. Then my wife and I ordered 2 diet cokes. Waiter comes back again and says they have no more Diet Coke Really?? All 4 of us rolled our eyes. Then to dinner my wife orders a salmon dinner and I ordered pasta nonna. The pasta was one of their specials. Waiter comes back again — no more salmon and no more pasta nonna? Could this be? We change our dinner selection. Like a $700 bad dream dinner. Then we ordered vanilla bean gelato. Waiter unbelievably comes back and says no more vanilla gelato. Then I ordered a simple Americano coffee. The waiter brings it back not even a half cup and takes the extra hot water away. No offer of cream or milk. never again will I go to this restaurant. I travel 1 and one half hours to get to the city. Save your money. This was a real experience. I could not make it up.
