Opinions de Filthy Diamond New York
I really like this bar! The bartender was amazing. I nicknamed him “Blondie”. Thank you for all of your hard work. You definitely will be seeing us again.
Stopped in for a quick drink and stayed for a couple. Love the draft beer options and looking forward to trying the cocktails. The spot is very cutely decorated. The music and the vibe were very chill. I can see myself going back.
The drinks are delicious, the DJs are FIREEEE and the owner is beautiful. Instead of putting money towards all these gentrifying spots in the neighborhood, put that money here to keep this bar in Bushwick for the long-term!
Love this place! I met one of the best ppl here ever and it’s the best! Gorgeous bar and lovely vibes.

I don’t live close but always try to support this spot when I can. Great outdoor space for the warmer months. Fun events too…chess club / live jazz!
I just had my wedding reception here and I cannot tell you how incredibly perfect it went. The staff, incredible, friendly, attentive, and kind. The space, charming, well decorated, and the backyard is absolutely lovely. The drinks, boozy, yummy, and in my hand essentially the second I needed one. Filthy Diamond might seem like just another neighborhood spot from the outside but we couldn’t have asked for a better place for our party. Best bang for your buck in Brooklyn. Thanks so much to Erin and her team. And Crystal for her work behind the bar.
i played chess here with an angel on the first night of the rest of my life! she bought me a cocktail with plum liqueur (purple rain i believe) and she got a beer and a shot. lovely sopranos pinball. i hope everyone comes here and has an equally life-altering night
I had an incredible time at Filthy Diamond last night! I came in for a casual chess game and was immediately impressed by the welcoming and relaxed vibe. The staff, especially Crystal, were outstanding, friendly, and attentive. Crystal always checking to make sure everything was going smoothly and providing great recommendations. It’s clear that the team here genuinely cares about creating a positive experience for their customers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spot if you’re looking for a great place to hang out, enjoy some drinks, and meet fantastic people. I’ll definitely be back!
Great spot for a happy hour drink. Kid-friendly with a really nice staff.
I love this bar! The perfect neighborhood spot. Bartenders are incredibly welcoming and friendly and take the time to get to know you. Great music always, but be sure to catch their live music events (usually on Mondays and Tuesdays with live piano karaoke on Thursdays). Affordable prices and living room-like atmosphere make this the perfect place to unwind with friends. Get the negroni!
Filthy Diamond is a great Black Woman Owned bar with a great vibe. Owner is extremely friendly, accommodating and has great energy. The bartender was really cool and made really good drinks. The overall atmosphere of the bar was nice. Love the area with the old school Mrs. Pac Man and pin ball machines. It's a nice place to gather with friends for a drink or reserve for a party. It was my first time visiting, but will definitely be back.
This bar is an absolute gem. The ambience is warm and inviting. It feels like a cozy living room with eggplant purple walls and wooden decor, but it’s not pretentious. The bar itself is the perfect size and there are a few lovely nooks you can squeeze yourself into for a game of chess or a hushed conversation. Then there’s the music. Dude, the MUSIC. The music is always fantastic. I'm a bit confused by the aggressive one-star reviews about noise. I like this bar because the music is consistently the perfect volume. I have some auditory issues and I typically find it very challenging to communicate in bars, but at the Filthy Diamond I have always been able to easily have conversations. Whether it's 7pm or 1am. (Also, side note: if you live in New York City, don't complain about noise. Move somewhere else.) The drinks are fairly priced and really delicious. The clientele is pretty diverse. Everyone I've seen is generally in their late 20s to late 30s, but within that age range, there are folks from all different backgrounds and walks of life. You'll always meet someone interesting if you're looking to talk to a stranger. And finally, the woman who owns the bar - she is honestly one of the best bar owners I've ever come across. She's professional, kind, and so chill. She has a super calming energy that really sets the scene for this place. You feel it as soon as you walk in. I highly recommend Filthy Diamond for all of your Brooklyn bar needs. You can go there to gab with the girls, have a quiet drink and read a book, or sit and chat with a new friend. When you go here you are supporting GOOD folk.
Excellent bar, with an excellent owner and bartenders. The vibe is warm and welcoming. The drinks are great. They have chess! They have live music and DJs sometimes! What more could you ask for? My favorite neighborhood watering hole
This is the coziest bar in Brooklyn. Erin has such an amazing energy & you will want to spend as much time as you can in this place. It’s as comfortable & welcoming as any place out there. Great music always!!
This place rules my roommates and I come here regularly and truly love all the bartenders and all the fun/unique events they hold, like time travel Mondays where they play a ton of music from one specific year (also there’s double happy hour on Monday which is great). The environment is great, which a cozy chill environment that’s extremely welcoming and wonderful to be a part of. Can’t say enough good things about this little neighborhood bar ❤️
This place is great! I live right down the street and it’s always a great place to pop into and unwind. Staff is friendly, especially the owner, she takes the time to get to know you. Good drinks, some snack offerings. Def a good place to pop in on any night of the week! Definitely recommend.

Filthy Diamond is truly a one of a kind space. The community cultivated by the fantastic staff is incredibly welcoming and inspiring. From live music, to killer DJ sets, to chess nights, to the arcade games in the back, or even just chilling in truly the coziest backroom ever (literally feels like my living room), there’s something for everyone. I’ve also met some of the most interesting people here—the hang is an extremely heady brew of artists, musicians, DJs, writers, poets, theater people, industry connoisseurs, literally any creative profession you can imagine. I feel so grateful and honored to count myself as part of this community, it genuinely feels like home—safe, joyful, inclusive, and so nourishing.

Everything is so great about this place except the music is WAY too loud, even if it’s good music, I’m not there to listen to loud music from speakers(more understandable if playing actual live music people go there to listen, like Jazz night is great). Please, turn down the speaker music. People are there to talk and enjoy a nice drink after work. Can’t even think. The only place I can sit and unwind is the backyard. You’re my best local bar and I would love to go after work and enjoy a drink or two, but I have hesitated more than a few times simply because of the volume of the speaker.

I'm very new in Brooklyn and chose this as the 1st bar/ restaurant for drinks, with a friend from Queens on my Bday thus October. It took a few stops in the L and a long walk or bus. It was a very dark, typical bar with a nice but too layed back bartender and 1 other customer for happy hour. This night, I felt no vibe whatsoever so would not be encouraged to return. The backyard was the best thing going.

Bad service. Bartender came up to ask for my order and then literally turned around half way though me talking to go to someone else. Never had that happen before.
