Great bar to watch a game and do trivia! Service is great and drinks are reasonable.
Great vibes. Servers got our hockey game on with no issue. Love the mystery beers
This is me and my boyfriends FAVORITE neighborhood sports bar! The bartenders and servers are all great! The food is great! Their wings are so good and they have a great beer selection. They have so many TVs and play all the games and fights. Big PPV fights are even purchased here to watch and almost all the UFC fights. This is me and my boyfriends GO-TO bar for baseball games, boxing and UFC fights, college and NFL football. It’s just all around great chill atmosphere, neighborhood bar vibe, great food and drink selection and beer! It’s a huge perk they have Guinness on tap.
Great local spot on the upper east side for food, great drinks and a great community! Definitely recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area.
Update 11/4/22: 4 stars to 5 stars!! Craving wings again one month later.. and they can do naked wings with sauce on the side!!! Last 2 pictures are from the recent order, wings and onion rings Original:9/25/22 Was in the mood for wings and mellers popped up via uber eats and i thought i give them a try The wings itself were really good but the buffalo sauce was slightly salty Idk if they do naked wings but i think naked wings with a buffalo dip wouldve been better for me. Chicken caesar wrap was good too!
Excellent place. The buffalo wings were spectacular, the variety of beers was really good, and it’s also a great spot to watch live sports events. I’ll definitely be back.
20 Stars! Came here after a long week at my stupid job just to chill, work on my online business and relax. The metal music was on point, and Jason the bartender was super cool — he went above and beyond to customize my drink exactly how I wanted it. Free Wi-Fi, great vibes, killer music. I'm 100% coming back to work, relax, and vibe out. They have big screens playin sports in case you are a fan or Basketball, Bakeball, , sccer, any sports, etc. 20 tvs. Great wings also.
Neighborhood gem. There is something going on every night of the week- trivia, taco Tuesdays, 75 cent wings on Weds, and there’s always good music with a juke box and a pool table. Can’t go wrong. The staff make you feel like you’re at home and the vibes are always good. Anna and Rob aren’t too bad either, I applaud the way they run the place.
This bar never misses. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and on point. A fun and relaxed atmosphere for drinks and a quick meal. Definitely a go-to spot.
Epic spot to play pool, good food and amazing staff! Love this spot. Most welcoming spot in the UES.
Great spot to grab drinks, bar food, and shoot some pool. The staff is great and friendly.
Great wings. Now they have a pool table and dart board. Over 30 tvs. All sports available. My favorite place to hang. Highly recommend!
Always a very welcoming environment; staff are hospitable, attentive and make you feel like you’re right at home- great vibes here! Watched my first knicks game here! Woohoo, thanks for that experience! Bonus stars for my pup, Bunny always being welcomed here too. The food is delicious, drinks are great, entertainment is offered (pool, darts, etc.) perfect for lunch, a night out, casual hang, or just to stop by and say hi to everyone! Also, great music 🤙 I’ve heard this place is also the go to spot for trivia lovers. Not my cup of tea, but my friends love it! Thank you team at Mellers!
TOP SPOT! Absolutely LOVED Mellers. We came to watched a Premier league game and had a fantastic time. The staff, the drinks, and the food are all fantastic! Highly recommended the calamari and the bloody Mary's 👌 thank you Mellers, you made our Sunday! We will be back!
Single handedly the best chicken tenders around. A great bar to catch any and all sports games with a fun and lively atmosphere. Owner is very kind and friendly. Staff is attentive and the drinks served are always cold. Can stop in anytime and it is a great hang!
Best pool table and darts. Best wings and burgers. My boys come here often to watch sports. Totally recommend. Amazing sports bar and music.
If you’re in search of a nice bar in the UES this is an amazing place! Food was delicious. Great vibe, fantastic service. Special shoutout to Rob for the great service!
Love this local place. good food and drinks. We come here to always catch a game. Had a blast here during the 2024 mets playoff run. If your a sports fan and want a place to hang out this it.
Ordered delivery from their website. Fast and super nice. Loved the presentation when unpacked. Edamame was still crisp and fresh, not soggy. Yellowtail jalapeño starter was just lovely. Loved Green Hulk special roll but next time I’ll ask for sauce on the side. Wasn’t worth a star deduction. Learned for next time.
Update: we came back and everything is still excellent. The scallion pancake was amazing as well. Crispy and well flavored. I also loved that they actually were able to make a Thai iced tea with less sugar - most places have it premade. Food: There are a lot of options when it comes to food and drinks. There are so many veggie rolls to pick from and they even made something off menu for my husband. I got the veggie tempura roll and it was so yummy. They actually had all types of veggies in it and it was perfectly crispy. We got 2 appetizers there - the veggie gyoza and the scallion pancake. The scallion pancakes were delicious and perfectly flavored. I will say that the veggie gyoza tasted like all others I've had at other restaurants, good but not excellent. There are a few other veggie apps I definitely plan to try when we go back. My husband got an off menu avocado peanut roll. This is one of the few sushi places where I felt like they didn't skimp on the avocado or peanuts. The drinks menu looked delicious but we weren't really feeling like alcohol so we got a pot of tea. The tea comes in this beautiful pot with very nice cups. We're big tea drinkers and are pretty specific about our teas and their jasmine tea was very nice - beautiful blend of different flavors. This whole pot of premium jasmine tea was $3!? We were stunned! Service: The staff is very friendly and the service is very fast even when they are really busy. Ambiance: This place is so cute. I love the theme, it feels very modern but comfortable at the same time. It's great spot for dates or small groups. All their dishware and glassware was so beautiful and perfectly in theme with the restaurant. Price: The prices are very reasonable and I was very surprised at the amount of food we were able to get for less than $40 for 2 people. We got 2 appetizers, 2 sushi rolls, and a big pot of tea. Bonus: Unlike most places, they didn't charge us extra for sriracha or spicy mayo. Overall, this was such an amazing dining experience. I am so grateful it's in our local neighborhood so we can keep coming back. Our favorite sushi place closed down post COVID so we are ecstatic to have found Ikyu. Absolutely wonderful but understated sushi spot on the upper East side. Always super fresh ingredients with a quiet but kind staff. Atmosphere is relaxing, and spa like. I recommend always getting a pot of tea, which is lovely floral with an air of jasmine. Great place 5 star quality at 3 star prices.
Great new sushi place in the area. We were able to walk in on Sunday night and eat at the sushi bar (there were tables too). Service was super fast & staff was very nice. Prices are reasonable but some of the portions were small (crispy rice with tuna & the rock shrimp were smaller than we expected). Otherwise, food was good! Will definitely come back here and try more rolls. Front of the restaurant is a little bright for my liking but the back had better lighting & atmosphere.
9/10!! Ikyu had amazing staff. My girlfriend accidentally dropped a chopstick, and they immediately came to give a new one. Sometimes, it’s the little things. The sushi rolls were slightly expensive anywhere from $10-20. The plate in front of me is the Salmon Fizz Roll and a Shrimp Tempura Roll behind it. The one on the other plate was a Salmon Skin roll. All of them were served well. The fish was fresh, the ingredients were prepped properly, and overall was a very enjoyable experience. For desert, we tried the cream cheese ice cream with honey and peanuts (I know sounds weird). The server even made shredded to ask if we were allergic to peanuts which some servers don’t do enough honestly. After a while it did grow on me, and it felt like the dish only came together when you had all three on a spoon. The honey with only the ice cream felt misplaced. So I’d give desert a 6.5/10. The ambiance is really nice, and definitely makes for a great spot to eat whether you’re on a date or by yourself (They have stools in front of the sushi bar). Definitely would go again!
Delicious! We stopped in for a late dinner the other week during their soft opening. Decor and ambiance is lovely and a great addition to the UES for something that feels fancier vs casual, but reasonable prices! The sushi was fresh and the mango roll was fun to try and not too sweet. My boyfriend enjoyed his garlic steak dish. Friendly service! I hope they have lots of success.
Ordered a couple cocktails - a little too sweet. The chili martini was okay (too sweet). Would definitely just stick to the canned drinks or draft beers next time. Lots of TVs - would come back to watch sports.
We love sushi and try it pretty much everywhere we go. Our sushi rolls were pretty decent. We tried the sweet potato, oshinko, yellowtail and scallion, the peanut avocado, and the spicy mango shrimp rolls. Everything tasted pretty great and we were happy with the quality of the food. The atmosphere was nice. It was a quiet little spot, tucked away, with an intimate atmosphere. As we were sitting there they added fresh flowers to all the tables. The restaurant and the bathrooms looked clean and we didn't have any wait getting a table. The cons were that, even though it was clean, there was no soap in the bathroom, we didn't have any soy sauce on our table and had to grab it off another table, and the water they served us was pretty warm. It was poured from a glass jar sitting on the table and it felt as though it had been sitting out for a long time. Overall it was a good experience and it was worth our money.
I ordered Kara-Age (fried chicken), a single scallop sushi, and pork katsu with rice and miso soup. The environment was warm and cozy. The scallop was nice and fresh. It had jelly-like texture and wasn’t fishy at all. However, it wasn’t as sweet as I expected. The fried chicken was okay. The oil smelled a bit stale. The better had a soft crunch to it. The chicken inside was tender and juicy, but the batter was a little too thick. The pork katsu was good. It was crispy on the outside and the inside was nice and firm. For some reason, it didn’t have the stale smell to it like the fried chicken did. The portion was very good. I almost couldn’t finish it. The miso soup was average. Overall, it was a standard experience. The staff were friendly.
Ordered pickup for the first time, we got the sushi and sashimi platter for 2. It was pricey, but delicious. The miso soup was probably the best I’ve ever had! It was so flavorful and I wish I got more of it. Salmon is my favorite and it met my expectations. The fish is very fresh, but for the money I spent, I was expecting it to blow my mind. It’s definitely a good spot for basic rolls, but if I want to spend lots of money on sushi I’ll go elsewhere.
While wandering around the Upper East Side, I stumbled upon Ikyu 一休, a sushi restaurant that immediately caught my attention. This spotless and aesthetically pleasing establishment offers an impressive variety of sushi and Asian Fusion Cuisine. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the restaurant's inviting atmosphere. The array of sushi options available was both extensive and intriguing, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Each dish I tried was a testament to the excellent ingredients' quality. The sushi was fresh, expertly prepared, and presented beautifully, making each bite a delightful experience. Ikyu 一休 is a real find for anyone in the Upper East Side looking for high-quality sushi in an attractive setting. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just exploring the delights of Asian Fusion Cuisine, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
I had a great dining experience at 'lkyu.' The food was delicious, and I noticed they've recently undergone new renovations, which added to the ambiance. Their eclectic cuisine, blending Japanese, Chinese, and various Asian flavors, offers a unique and satisfying dining experience that's sure to please a wide range of tastes. A must-try for anyone looking for diverse Asian cuisine!
The salmon teriyaki bento lunch special is more expensive here ($21.72, tax included) compared to other Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood. The portions are also smaller, and it’s a choice of miso soup or salad, whereas others give you both. The atmosphere is probably the best part…minimalist and serene, enhanced by soft New Age music playing in the background.
The owner has an attitude and a discriminatory behavior against me and my friend who were only trying to enjoy our weekend in nyc and play some pool. Says there is a drink minimum just to use to use the pool table and the table is horrible and unplayable.
We ordered a sashimi platter, expecting fresh fish to be firm rather than mushy. Additionally, the server’s approach was unprofessional, as they attempted to expedite the order promptly. Def not gonna come back again .
