Amazing experience at Mr. Purple. The views, atmosphere, and drinks were all top tier, but what really made the night was Hannah. Hannah was attentive, personable, and made us feel taken care of from start to finish. She had great recommendations, kept everything moving smoothly, and brought such a good energy to the experience. Highly recommend asking for Hannah if you’re there.

Mr. Purple is a very nice and spacious rooftop restaurant and bar. I love the fact that they have a pool which was nice. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves at an event we attended here. I would definitely come back again.

Fun rooftop party vibes and a classic brunch menu Absolutely must get the Bagel with Lox featuring that beautiful tompkins square bagel and locally sourced smoked salmon. It's a big bar with dancing space on the 15th floor. I was there to dance and see the rooftop, it was some free special that night. But that night it was raining so the rooftop was closed. I just saw vague skyline through the glass walls. Overall it was nice to dance, not crowded.

This was our second visit to this property, both times at sunset, this time as hotel guests. The view is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for sunset cocktails. However, regarding the food and cocktails, both are of low quality and do not meet our expectations. We had the worst Aperol Spritz we have had. Bartenders had no clue. Additionally, the bartender was arguing with a client over a card and tried to involve me in the discussion, which was very rude and inappropriate. We had one drink, enjoyed the fantastic view, and left. Many rooftop options, avoid this one.

The bouncers are incredibly egotistical, I was in there for 5 minutes and happened to make eye contact with a bouncer which resulted in me getting pulled by the head and dragged out the place. As I was getting escorted out you could hear other people stating that the bouncers were on a power trip and they were also being forced out. If you are very respectful and tell them what was the reason they will speak in their native language just to mock you. Don’t understand this place as the reviews suggest that this has been happening for months. If you are looking for a fun time with a small group of friends this is not the place be prepared to charge back.

Disgusting place… Want to get manhandled for breathing by bouncers that don’t speak English? Want the crowd to be constantly be filled with anxiety and always looking around? This is your place!!! We got in at 12AM and we were admiring the view from the window as it was our first time there. All of a sudden 2 bouncers speaking an African language just grabbed the smallest guy from our group by his head and shoved him back into the elevator. We asked what was happening and they couldn’t even tell us in english what was going on, it was like he was getting kidnapped. This was 3 minutes after entering and having a lovely convo with the bouncer at the door. My friend couldn’t have a sip of alcohol because he was our designated driver, but he got kicked for being “too intoxicated.” Hell, we didn’t even get a chance to sing or get onto the dance floor as we were still deciding what to order. The only bad thing I can assume he did was make eye contact with them? The manager had no idea what was going on and why that happened. She assured it 100% wasn’t a mistake. I didn’t understand cause he was legit the most shy and introverted from our group. We went to Arlene’s bar where we were greeted with a smile, great hospitality and a great beer. We stayed all night and never had an issue, then our “intoxicated” friend drove us home safely ❤️
