The rooftop view did not disappoint it was spectacular. We agree that Mr. Purple is the best New York has to offer. We followed Courtnee’s recommendation and ordered the formula which was amazing!…medium rare steak cooked to perfection & wow how I do love an ice-cold filthy martini. Thank you Courtnee and we hope to see you on our next visit to The Big Apple.
Ricky seriously made our night. her drinks were so good! You can tell she knows what she’s doing. Everything was super balanced, creative, and just hit the spot. If you like cocktails, you’re in good hands with her.
Mr. Purple is such a vibe. The views are incredible, the drinks are beautifully made, and the whole atmosphere feels like the perfect mix of stylish and chill. it just feels special without being stuffy. Huge shoutout to our server, Courtnee, who made the experience even better. She was attentive and genuinely fun — the kind of service that turns a great night into a memorable one. She had perfect recommendations and checked in just the right amount.
This bar place has great vibes and spectacular views of the city. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. One stand out bartender was Yogi who was very helpful with choosing a cocktail me and my girlfriends would enjoy. Definitely coming back real soon!
I was first introduced to Mr Purple by a friend visiting from LA but I didn’t accept the offer. I immediately regretted it when he sent photos of the view and shared his experience. Since then, I wanted to visit but didn’t want to go there alone.. Then my friends and I heard about the matinee disco party and we finally planned a night out there. Would you believe I ended up there alone because my friends went to another spot? I decided I was not leaving because the staff were very nice to me especially Ricky!!!!, and the drinks were amazing! They all ended up coming to Mr Purple that night… after they realized I was having more fun… and we’ve been there a second time since. If you ever feel like having a night out with friends.. or by yourself in a place where you are safe and welcomed with great service ..I highly recommend Mr Purple!! Ask for Ricky! She makes the best cocktails especially French 75!!
Super cool rooftop, indoor club, and bar. Definitely one of, if not the best vibe around East Village. When in the area I always try to stay at the Indigo and then stop at Mr Purple. The entire staff is great but especially Ricky who has taken care of us a number of times now and is truly exceptional. She is not only very attentive to everyone but her positive friendly energy just adds a lot to the experience.
Very nice rooftop bar with sweeping views of the city. They have a great selection of beer, well drinks, and cocktails. Wonderful staff. I had such a fantastic experience with Ricky. From the moment I sat down, she made me feel welcome and taken care of. Her drink recommendations were spot‑on, the cocktails she made were awesome (make sure you try the lychee tini), and you could tell she's a pro. What stood out most was her personality — friendly, attentive, and effortlessly professional. Even when the bar got busy, she never missed a beat and made sure I was having a great time. It’s rare to find someone who can mix great drinks and create such a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere. If you’re visiting Mr. Purple, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar. Ricky is a true gem and made the night unforgettable.
Stopped by Mr. Purple for some quick drinks and was having such a good time I stayed for 3+ hours. Cocktails were great, atmosphere was amazing and the service was even better. Our bartender Yogi was really funny and honestly the reason we stayed longer. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Will definitely be back soon
I had an amazing experience dining here thanks to yogi! From the moment we were seated, he made us feel welcome and taken care of. His attentiveness, warm personality, and knowledge of the menu really stood out. Every recommendation he gave was spot-on, and he managed to balance professionalism with a genuine friendliness that made the evening even more enjoyable. Service like hers elevates the whole dining experience. You can tell he truly cares about his guests and takes pride in what he does. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends thanks to the outstanding service he provided!
Yogi is hands down one of the best bartenders at Mr. Purple. Super friendly, great energy, and clearly knows his craft. Drinks were on point all night and he made the experience even better without being over the top. If you’re sitting at the bar, ask for Yogi and enjoy your night!!

Amazing experience at Mr. Purple. The views, atmosphere, and drinks were all top tier, but what really made the night was Hannah. Hannah was attentive, personable, and made us feel taken care of from start to finish. She had great recommendations, kept everything moving smoothly, and brought such a good energy to the experience. Highly recommend asking for Hannah if you’re there.
Mr. Purple is a very nice and spacious rooftop restaurant and bar. I love the fact that they have a pool which was nice. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves at an event we attended here. I would definitely come back again.

It's a big bar with dancing space on the 15th floor. I was there to dance and see the rooftop, it was some free special that night. But that night it was raining so the rooftop was closed. I just saw vague skyline through the glass walls. Overall it was nice to dance, not crowded.

This was our second visit to this property, both times at sunset, this time as hotel guests. The view is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for sunset cocktails. However, regarding the food and cocktails, both are of low quality and do not meet our expectations. We had the worst Aperol Spritz we have had. Bartenders had no clue. Additionally, the bartender was arguing with a client over a card and tried to involve me in the discussion, which was very rude and inappropriate. The bouncers are incredibly egotistical, I was in there for 5 minutes and happened to make eye contact with a bouncer which resulted in me getting pulled by the head and dragged out the place. As I was getting escorted out you could hear other people stating that the bouncers were on a power trip and they were also being forced out. If you are very respectful and tell them what was the reason they will speak in their native language just to mock you. Don’t understand this place as the reviews suggest that this has been happening for months. If you are looking for a fun time with a small group of friends this is not the place be prepared to charge back.
Disgusting place… Want to get manhandled for breathing by bouncers that don’t speak English? Want the crowd to be constantly be filled with anxiety and always looking around? This is your place!!! We got in at 12AM and we were admiring the view from the window as it was our first time there. All of a sudden 2 bouncers speaking an African language just grabbed the smallest guy from our group by his head and shoved him back into the elevator. We asked what was happening and they couldn’t even tell us in english what was going on, it was like he was getting kidnapped. This was 3 minutes after entering and having a lovely convo with the bouncer at the door. My friend couldn’t have a sip of alcohol because he was our designated driver, but he got kicked for being “too intoxicated.” Hell, we didn’t even get a chance to sing or get onto the dance floor as we were still deciding what to order. The only bad thing I can assume he did was make eye contact with them? The manager had no idea what was going on and why that happened. She assured it 100% wasn’t a mistake. I didn’t understand cause he was legit the most shy and introverted from our group. We went to Arlene’s bar where we were greeted with a smile, great hospitality and a great beer. We stayed all night and never had an issue, then our “intoxicated” friend drove us home safely ❤️
