What a fabulous spot!! My friends and I came here for a girls night dinner before going out, and it was the perfect place. The ambiance is sexy and trendy, and the food and drink menu has a great variety. There’s something for everyone! Great hospitality and service as well. Luis, the manager (in the photo), came over and personally greeted us and gave us free drinks! Luis and his team are doing an amazing job and can’t wait to be back.

Delish! Hosted a group of 30 here for my birthday. Staff was super accommodating with my group, printed me custom menus, and gave us a great deal for pre-fixe. Everyone enjoyed the food and set-up. Thank you Vivian & Luis at Casa Bond for making our experience great!

I held my bachelorette brunch here with 9 friends and we all had a great time. Service was wonderful. Food was tasty. And the space was trendy. They did not make us feel rushed and we were really able to catch up, relax and enjoy a delicious meal together.

The aguachile ceviche was extraordinarily good. The broth has complex, delicious layers of flavor, presumably from the 7 different dried and fresh chiles. The owner (?) said that the salt and spices are all imported from Mexico. Everyone from bussers to waiters were sweet, and a Mexicali was the perfect accompaniment.

When we first moved to NYC from South Florida, we were on the hunt for a great margarita—and that search led us here. What started as a casual visit quickly turned into a regular tradition. Over time, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting the owners and getting to know the bartenders—who now feel more like friends. Casa Bond has truly become a second home for us. The drinks are incredible, always thoughtful and creative, with unique takes on the classics that keep us coming back. And the food? It’s outstanding. This isn’t the typical Mexican fare you might expect. It’s elevated, crafted with high-quality, authentic ingredients that highlight just how special this cuisine can be. We’ll always have a soft spot for this place. Whether we’re stopping in for a full dinner or just grabbing a drink at the bar, Casa Bond never disappoints. P.S. Poutine was mouthwateringly good! i got mine with smoked meat and it tasted a lot like what I had in Montreal, super authentic! If you like salt, this for you. It's also good for two people. The servers were very kind, but they're a little understaffed so be understanding of that! I sat at the community table and everything looked delicious. Very excited to come back!

Mile End in Brooklyn has been on my list of places to check out for a long time, and it did not disappoint at all! I got a couple of sandwiches to go, but the inside looks like a family-run, hospitable, and cozy diner... exactly what you want! Love the Canadian soul too! I followed Ali's recommendation and tried the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich (their special), and I also got the one with chicken liver. Both super Yummy! I’m a big foodie for brisket, pastrami, and corned beef — give me all of it! My go-to is the Reuben, and they’ve got a double-meat version called the “Eli Reuben” that’s an absolute must if you go. The ambience is cozy and classic diner-style. Their breakfast menu looks top-tier, too. Service can be a bit on the slower side, but with this Montreal-style smoked meat deli, it’s absolutely worth the stop.

A nice discovery. A corned beef reuben that was as good as I've ever had and some well-made pickles. Very friendly and capable service and an interesting menu I will want to work my way through. All the Jewish deli standards, Canadian favorites, good Canadian beer and a selection of very interesting and creative sandwiches. A nice addition to the neighborhood and the City.

This was a great time! I met some interesting fellow elites with similar interests. (Nga! Don't forget to reach out about the cats!) I've never had poutine because I can't have cheese curds, so I was pleasantly surprised by the Poulette Poutine. It featured thick, gelatinous gravy full of shredded chicken poured over hot skin-on fries. Delicious! They also had a Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich (cured & smoked brisket, mustard, rye), Classic Poutine (fries, cheese curds, gravy), Pickle-Brined Fried Chicken (with coleslaw and pickles) a Smoked Meat Breakfast Burrito and, my absolute favorite(!) the Hoyt Dogs in Blanket (beef frank, maple mustard). Those Hoyt dogs were everything!

Legit Canadian-style Jewish deli in the heart of Brooklyn, and probably NYC’s best poutine! Cannot recommend this spot enough if you want a good poutine - crispy fries, perfectly seasoned gravy, and delicious smoked meat with fresh cheese curds. Had it with a Labatt Blue and I have no regrets.

I was recommended to this restaurant after meeting someone who lives in Canada yesterday, and I asked them "are there any authentic Canadian food places in NYC?" So first off you walk in and the place smells amazing. I forgot that that source told me that they have a ton of great smoked meats as well. I ended up getting the breakfast poutine, and it was the first time when I've actually enjoyed poutine. All the food was super fresh, authentic, and made with care. Even though the food is spectacular the wait staff is even better. Outrageously friendly, welcoming and their great attitude made the rest of my day much happier. Multiple servers checked in on me making sure I had everything I needed. It felt more like friends that are checking everything is all good if you are visiting their house compared to an actual restaurant. I recommend everyone try out this great place, and a big thank you to everyone working there today for the great experience.

Came here and tried the Eli Reuben sandwich featuring a mix of corned beef and smoked meat, and it was delicious! Maybe just a bit too much sauce as it was overflowing and messy to eat, but on the other hand maybe that’s what made it so good. Highly recommended.

It's a simple place, Canadian dishes and Jewish treats combined from the grandmother's history. Eli Reuben was fantastic - smoked meat, corned beef, slaw, and a delicious pickle. Potato salad, etc. was fantastic. Will definitely have to try the poutine next time!

Excellent Montreal style Jewish deli in the heart of Brooklyn. If you don’t know, their smoked meat is sorta like pastrami but a little different (sorry, maybe a little less spicy?) but it a really delicious and is a nice change. Get a sandwich or a platter to share. They serve both leans and fatty style. The fatty style has a little more flavor - my suggestion is to ask for 50% of each on the platter. Their matzo ball soup was also very flavorful. Not too salty. Nice big matzo ball soup and even some vegetables and chicken in it. My one small quibble- you can’t get it on a Montreal style bagel - bah. I really liked the place.

Went for restaurant week. Sopa de tortilla was meh, not very flavorful and had cilantro despite us asking for no cilantro and the waitress saying that would be fine. Quesadilla looked good but it was underwhelming flavor wise. I've had better ones at cheap Mexican joints/carts. Gobernador was okay but again nothing very special. Looked better than it tasted. Think Los Tacos is better tbh. The cochinita pibil tasted the best out of what we had but still wasn't anything extraordinary. The dessert just seemed like a pretty mid cheesecake. Not bad but also not great. The cocktail was tasty, mostly tasted like juice if that's your kind of thing. The service was ok, they were a little overly attentive except for when it came time to get our check, then we had to flag someone down. Also disrupted our conversation a few times to refill our waters, which would be fairly minor but it was still annoying since we had our glasses to one side but they would fill from the opposite side, holding the jug in our faces. Overall, food looked impressive but the taste and flavor didn't meet expectations nor did it seem to match the price. They also have a credit card fee which I usually only expect at cheap spots/delis. Atmosphere was fine, wasn't too loud or dark/bright.

Frankly disappointing. Coming from an area that doesn’t have NY style delis, we had high hopes. But, the broth for the matzo ball and chicken noodle soup was meh. The carrots were undercooked, and the noodles tasted like they were cooked in water and dropped into the soup when ordered. The Smoked Meat Hash had VERY little meat! 95% potatoes and overall lacked taste. Needed onions or something! On the positive side, the Corned Beef Rueben was good, tender and flavorful. (Though I think the bread was toasted and not grilled), and the poppy seed bagel with cream cheese was tasty. Probably wouldn’t give it a second chance.

I had high hopes for this place. After trying Schwartz’s in Montreal and Katz’s in New York, I didn’t expect to be served supermarket-style pastrami. We ordered the smoked meat sandwich, Caesar, and poutine, and then tea and chocolate babka. Everything except the smoked meat was fine. The smoked meat itself was very disappointing, I’d probably give it one star. it’s also over priced. Update (two days later): Since eating the smoked meat sandwich here, my husband has had an upset stomach. I don’t know how long the pastrami had been sitting, but this made the experience even more disappointing.

I ordered a corned beef Reuben for pick up today, I ended up getting a sauerkraut sandwich with a thin layer of corned beef, as shown in the pics. I was in a hurry so finished off the sandwich anyway, and can confidently tell you that the beef was not more than one layer thick for the entire sandwich. This cost me $19 btw.
