Opinions de Mr. Taka Ramen New York
We didn’t get pictures of the food because it was so busy and delicious! Met the owner as she thanked us on the way out and even gave me a hug! They are open on holidays while other places are closed. I personally really enjoyed the Brussels spouts appetizer as well as the gyozas. The gyozas were probably one of the best I have ever had! So flavorful alone that you almost didn’t need the dipping sauce (and the sauce is usually why I like gyozas). My girls got ramen and a bowl…I did not try those as I was full with my array of appetizers, but they ate everything! The place was packed, but the vibe was welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend!
Mr. Taka Ramen is THE ramen spot! There aren't many dining tables and a few counter chairs but it makes it cozy and not overstimulating. The ramen is the best around. It's fresh, the broth and noodles are delicious and they have many different options. Our go to is the spicy tonkotsu, but we've tried them all and none would disappoint. Reservations are probably a good idea, just because of the small venue but the service is quick and efficient. You get a real authentic feel at this place and it's hands down the best spot in NYC!
They had good outdoor seating for people eating outside. The food came out really quick, the appetizers in 3 minutes and the food in 13. And this was at lunch time in New York during the holiday so it was very fast service. There's also a lot of vegetarian appetizers and some vegetarian mains. The vegetarian stuff was all very very good.
Soooo delicious. I came in here by myself today for dinner. I had tonkatsu ramen (not spicy). The broth was so flavorful and the chashu was super tender and full of fatty bits that just melted in your mouth. I normally like slightly thicker noodles in ramen but I didn’t even mind these were thin because everything else was so delicious! 100% gonna be a reoccurring spot for me.
Found this place by complete accident! I was in the area because I wanted Katz's Deli. The line was insane, so we decided to find a quiet place in the area with an open table. We settled on Mr. Taka Ramen when we saw they had space. We have had Ramen in many different cities and places, this was hands down the BEST Ramen I have ever had! The broth was delicious and so smooth, the flavors were perfect and the pork belly was done perfectly. If anyone is in the Lower East Side, I cannot recommend this place enough!
Stopped by for lunch with my daughter. Zero regrets for going in there, folks. Staff was so friendly, but the ramen is seriously some of the best we’ve ever tried (and we hit plenty of ramen places). I got the vegan bowl, the grilled zucchini and tomato inside were perfection, but the broth was my favorite. Portions are really big! Try the cucumbers, too, they were a great appetizer. Seriously, go find this gem and check it out.
Really good ginger shoyu Ramen. Noodles were a great chewy bouncy texture plus there was a generous amount of noodles. Lots of veg, clear grease free broth with a developed flavour. My new go to ramen spot. Pork belly is excellent.... I usually stay away from pork belly as it often is improperly cooked when you go out but this place was 100% correct!!
A super cozy little spot that feels like it’s family-run — warm vibes and good people. Seating is pretty limited, so if you’re rolling in with a big group, you might want to rethink that. I’d say a party of six is pushing it, but if you’re lucky, you might squeeze in. Best for smaller groups or even solo dining if you’re just in the mood for a quiet, satisfying meal. The ramen here is the star — rich, flavorful broth that hits just right. We mostly went with the chicken ramen, though they have pork options too. Everything we tried was packed with flavor. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving a comforting bowl of ramen. Just maybe don’t bring the whole crew.
Visited in February, and it was my second time coming here. Such a hidden gem (at least to me, as a visitor from Toronto lol) and it's so reasonably priced for a good amount of food. As a vegetarian, finding decent ramen spots can be hard, and Mr. Taka is amazing. So delicious and filling. I also love their veggie gyoza! Sake here is also delicious, and was a nice warm treat on a breezy February afternoon. I got the Taka’s Vegan which is my favourite, and my partner got the Tonkotsu. Can't rave about this place enough!!
Reliably delicious especially on a cold day. I love the spicy miso ramen, which has a rich broth and perfectly bouncy noodles. We also tried the karaage buns which were flavorful and crispy. The spac…

I had the KARAAGE and Yuzu Shoyu. It was really good. I was really impressed by the ramen: it wasn't salty at all and the broth was extremely balanced. I would go as far to say it's probably one of…

Stopped here on a whim, and got exactly what I we we’re looking for. The food was great, small high quality menu with vibrant flavors. The mushroom bau buns and vegan ramen were our choices.

Had such a great experience at this ramen spot! The ramen was amazing—the broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly (not mushy at all). The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us out. The place is really small (fits less than 20 people), so it’s not the best for bigger groups. There were four of us, and while they didn’t have a table ready right away, they quickly rearranged some tables to make space for us. Definitely planning to come back!
I feel like this was just another typical ramen place. It wasn't anything special/not extremely unique, but still a nice place to drop by. The pork belly was a bit too thick and not as melt-in-your-mouth as I would like. I got the ramen that had yuzu in it (forgot the name) and it was not bad, but I wish they had more types of toppings than just green onions. The servers were really attentive and kept coming by to refill waters and clear the table. It's super small inside so it's a bit packed, but at least they have the outdoor covered patio to sit in, although it won't have any AC.
Small shop in LES with friendly staff and a chill ambience. There's a few ramens to choose from, with a couple vegan options. We opted for the tonkotsu and the spicy black tantanmen. \n\nThe tonkotsu…
I wanted to like this, but the food just was not it. It was also heavily overpriced as I walked out with an $85 for 2 people.

Good service. Very good noodles. \n\nPlace can be cleaner and prices could be a little better. \n\nBut staff and food very good.
The broth and noodles were tasty. When I took a bite of the pork It tasted to salty to me, it was a difficult flavor to wash out. This did taste like quality ramen though.
The spicy stamina ramen had a very good spicy juice, nice curly noodles, and a melting chashu (though a bit cold at place). Very good overall. 16/20. The yuzu shoyu ramen was a bit less convincing. …
