Visited Mr. Purple and really enjoyed the experience. The rooftop has amazing views of the city and a cool outdoor space that includes a swimming pool, which adds to the whole vibe. The atmosphere feels lively without being overwhelming. I was also pleasantly surprised that the drinks weren’t super expensive, and they actually tasted great. Definitely a nice spot to hang out, relax, and take in the skyline. Would recommend visiting during the summer to enjoy outdoor space!
Mr. Purple is a very nice and spacious rooftop restaurant and bar. I love the fact that they have a pool which was nice. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves at an event we attended here. I would definitely come back again.
Good music, good vibes, good views I like to go here every Saturday with my friends, My favorite place and The bartender here David F he so nice, lovely and makes delicious drinks. He's also very friendly and easy to talk to.
Perched atop the Hotel Indigo on the Lower East Side, Mr. Purple stands as one of New York City’s most stylish rooftop bars and nightlife destinations. The design is sleek and industrial-chic, with reclaimed wood, metal finishes, and loft-inspired décor that perfectly complements its downtown edge. Guests are immediately drawn to the sweeping skyline views, which stretch from Midtown’s iconic towers to the bridges over the East River, making it a quintessential spot for sunset cocktails. The venue features both intimate terraces and a lively main space, including a poolside deck that elevates its exclusivity. Music is curated through dynamic DJ sets, striking a balance between lounge sophistication and high-energy rhythms as the night progresses. Cocktails are crafted with precision, with signatures such as the bottled Moscow Mule and the tequila-based Mr. Purple being consistent favorites.
Went here for their new brunch experience last weekend and had a great time. Fun rooftop party vibes and a classic brunch menu Absolutely must get the Bagel with Lox featuring that beautiful tompkins square bagel and locally sourced smoked salmon. They have all the brunch cocktails or check out their perfect espresso martini. Great for a date or group brunch
I had an amazing experience dining here thanks to yogi! From the moment we were seated, he made us feel welcome and taken care of. His attentiveness, warm personality, and knowledge of the menu really stood out. Every recommendation he gave was spot-on, and he managed to balance professionalism with a genuine friendliness that made the evening even more enjoyable. Service like hers elevates the whole dining experience. You can tell he truly cares about his guests and takes pride in what he does. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends thanks to the outstanding service he provided!
ricky created an amazing experience for us when we visited this spot! it’s a gorgeous rooftop bar with comfortable seating, great views, good vibes, and stellar service (thanks to ricky). she made me the best lychee martini i’ve ever had and was happy to chat with us when we were at the bar. watching her work was amazing: i could see there were some regulars that had come back because she greeted them all by name, and she made new guests feel welcome. she was friendly, efficient, creative, and just simply knew what she was doing. it was a pleasure to visit with ricky and i’ll definitely be back whenever i’m back in town, hopefully on a night she’s working!
Very nice rooftop bar with sweeping views of the city. They have a great selection of beer, well drinks, and cocktails. Wonderful staff. I had such a fantastic experience with Ricky. From the moment I sat down, she made me feel welcome and taken care of. Her drink recommendations were spot‑on, the cocktails she made were awesome (make sure you try the lychee tini), and you could tell she's a pro. What stood out most was her personality — friendly, attentive, and effortlessly professional. Even when the bar got busy, she never missed a beat and made sure I was having a great time. It’s rare to find someone who can mix great drinks and create such a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere. If you’re visiting Mr. Purple, do yourself a favor and grab a seat at the bar. Ricky is a true gem and made the night unforgettable.
Mr. Purple is such a vibe. The views are incredible, the drinks are beautifully made, and the whole atmosphere feels like the perfect mix of stylish and chill. it just feels special without being stuffy. Huge shoutout to our server, Courtnee, who made the experience even better. She was attentive and genuinely fun — the kind of service that turns a great night into a memorable one. She had perfect recommendations and checked in just the right amount.
I was first introduced to Mr Purple by a friend visiting from LA but I didn’t accept the offer. I immediately regretted it when he sent photos of the view and shared his experience. Since then, I wanted to visit but didn’t want to go there alone.. Then my friends and I heard about the matinee disco party and we finally planned a night out there. Would you believe I ended up there alone because my friends went to another spot? I decided I was not leaving because the staff were very nice to me especially Ricky!!!!, and the drinks were amazing! They all ended up coming to Mr Purple that night… after they realized I was having more fun… and we’ve been there a second time since. If you ever feel like having a night out with friends.. or by yourself in a place where you are safe and welcomed with great service ..I highly recommend Mr Purple!! Ask for Ricky! She makes the best cocktails especially French 75!!
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Mr. Purple in New York. The rooftop views were unlike anything else, truly breathtaking. I also want to give a hugh shoutout to our wonderful server Courtnee. Thank you, Courtnee, for making our first visit so special and for recommending The Formula for our meal. The steak was cooked to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. Incredible food, outstanding service, and all delivered with a warm, genuine smile. I'm so happy we had such an unforgettable dining experience-thank you, Courtnee!
came in today for a drink with a girlfriend and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Wasn’t too busy or loud around 6pm. Drinks were good, and the views from the rooftop are beautiful! We enjoyed a special where you get a steak, fries and martini for $35 that our server Alma recommended and it was great. Will come again
I had the absolute best experience at Mr. Purple the other night! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was perfect. What really made my night, though, was the incredible service. My server, Elma, was beyond amazing. She knew the menu inside out and gave spot-on recommendations for drinks. Between the great vibes, top-tier drinks, and exceptional service, it will become my new go-to spot. If you go (and you should!), definitely ask for Elma, you’ll be in great hands!
I’ve been coming to Mr. Purple for months, and honestly, the place wouldn’t feel the same without Ricky. She’s not just an incredible bartender, she’s the reason the night hits differently. Ricky has this rare way of making you feel instantly welcome, remembered, and taken care of. Your drink is always perfect, the service never feels forced, and the energy she brings behind the bar is unmatched. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that kind of service is rare. The views are stunning, the vibe is iconic, but Ricky is the magic. She turns a great night into an unforgettable one. Once you’ve been served by her, you get it.Thank you Mr. Purple for having someone like Ricky behind the bar. She is truly one of a kind and the reason this place feels so special. Her energy, care, and attention to detail make every visit memorable. Places are made great by people like her, and you’re lucky to have her.
Came here on a weekday while visiting NYC was a bit quiet but Elma was my server and made my experience so amazing. Not only was she super personable but recommended some amazing drinks, she even invited me back for the summer when the rooftop is open. I ended up staying longer than expected ! Will definitely be back and bring some friends. Views were beautiful as well.
My server was professional despite negative feedback. We thoroughly enjoyed each item we ordered. The dishes tasted great and servers were kind. The workers showed warmth alongside respectful treatment. I enjoyed my visit thoroughly.
I'm struck by their genuine approach to customer satisfaction. The team provides thoughtful service with authentic care. Great ambiance, clean and friendly service. While visually appealing, the dishes had too much salt for my taste. I really appreciate this spot, and I know you will as well.
Oh K-Dog NYC serves dishes that hit all the right flavor notes. Workers offered courteous attention. This restaurant caters to those who value quality ingredients without high costs. This spot reveals what's truly possible. I vouch for the quality of the meal and the appealing environment.
This restaurant delivers on its promises every single time. No need to dress up here. The staff shows remarkable kindness and reception. It was a decent size so that's a plus, its plenty enough to share. I'm excited about visiting this spot again.
Service: quick and to the point! There’s a condiment bar on the side of the restaurant where you can zhuzh up your order. Food: the best Korean corn dog I’ve ever had!!! The half cheese half beef coated in potato’s was sensational. Atmosphere: quick service establishment that can get busy quickly. Price: ~$10/person Overall: 9.6/10
+ The hotdog is ridiculously good! Every bite is like repeating 3 senses, you first feel the ultra crunchiness of the rice shell, then you feel the chewy texture of the shell (in a positive way) and last you taste the well seasoned rice shell and the juicy beef hotdog! Prolly the best hotdog I’ve ever had! ~ The service is a bit slow as they need to make every order fresh to ensure the crunchiness I guess. It took me about 10 mins from placing the order to receiving my food. - This is just a storefront with no tables or chairs to eat. Next to the store, half dozen trash bags were thrown on the side wall. I guess the expectation is you eat your hotdog as you walk away, which is not unreasonable for hotdog. Will I come back? Yes!
It's a big bar with dancing space on the 15th floor. I was there to dance and see the rooftop, it was some free special that night. But that night it was raining so the rooftop was closed. I just saw vague skyline through the glass walls. Overall it was nice to dance, not crowded.
Mr. Purple was a lot of fun! The rooftop view of the city was immaculate, and they had a great selection of music as well. The drinks were solid, and I enjoyed the overall vibe of Mr. Purple as a whole. Would recommend!
The food was good! But I was not a fan of the drinks. The pornstar martini was more so a passionfruit mimosa, pure prosecco! It was so bubbly rather than smooth. Any good bar serves the prosecco on the side. Our waitress and all the staff were amazing though and the view is worth the $25 drinks. Great music as well. Just really bummed by the drink.
We happened across this place after a trip to the city. I've always wanted to try Korean dogs and was delighted to find this little spot. Ordered the #7 (half mozzarella & half hot dog w/ potato exterior) $7.61. And I think the #10 (full mozzarella only w/ potato exterior). Oh and while they were piping hot, they rolled it in regular white sugar. There's a choice to coat with both white sugar and/or cinnamon sugar, but the white sugar was far better with an added sweetness, but subtle flavor. Go with the white sugar coating only. And the dipping sauces, so many to choose from. They were all delicious. I tried the sweet chili, honey mustard and garlic sauce with my Korean Dog. Just Amazing punch of flavors! At first bite, the crunchy potatoes were delicious! Immediately followed by the famous cheese pull. Either I was really starving or it was really that good. Honestly, I couldn't imagine how yummy it was. The half mozz & half dog was nice, however, the hotdog was a little gross because of the soft texture. It didn't seem like a superior hot dog. The focus was more on the exterior. So, with a better hotdog, this would be 10/10. The full mozz was nice, but then it was missing that savory combination. I think bacon would have been lovely with it. And full disclaimer! This is LES ( lower east side), so the area is grimey. There is no where to sit, just a graffitied standing area with a pet pigeon..lol. All and all, the cashier was sooo friendly and kind. He honestly made it for a better experience. He took his time to explain the menu and helped us choose some faves. Giving this spot a 4.2. Will be back.
Oh K-Dog has been trending recently and there is always a long line with about 30-minute wait. We were lucky to wait for only 20 minutes on a Sunday noon and the line got worse after we ordered. We had their #4 Cheddar Hot Dog and #9 Potato Hot Dog for $12 with tax & tips. It was so fresh, cheesy and delicious, totally different from the frozen ones we got from H-Mart. One of the best things we love is the various sauces available at the self-served area. Our favorite sauce was the Gochu hot sauce, which was appetizing and matched with the hot dogs so much. We would like to visit again, but only if the line is not too bad.
Went there on a Saturday afternoon. Be prepared to wait at least 1hr on the line if you go on the weekend! It's super popular. I had the squid dog - delicious! And the potato mozarella dog as well was quite good. Sat on the curb and enjoyed our corndogs right there. Great for a quick bite. Price is reasonable its like 4.75 per hot dog.
This was our second visit to this property, both times at sunset, this time as hotel guests. The view is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for sunset cocktails. However, regarding the food and cocktails, both are of low quality and do not meet our expectations. We had the worst Aperol Spritz we have had. Bartenders had no clue. Additionally, the bartender was arguing with a client over a card and tried to involve me in the discussion, which was very rude and inappropriate. We had one drink, enjoyed the fantastic view, and left. Many rooftop options, avoid this one.
Finally tried oh k dog, and it was pretty good. I love korean hot dogs so much. It was cheesy and flavorful. The size was also pretty decent. However I like the korean dogs from two hands and mochinut a lot better. They are also cheaper from those places as well with a bigger portion size. The customer service wasn’t the best here, it took a while for my korean hot dog to come. There was only one worker there. And customers at this place were also really rude and entitled. These two girls got really mad that their food didn’t come, and the cashier even gave them free food, yet they still continued to complain. And the two customers also made a face at me and gave me dirty looks for getting sauce. What can u do, this is NY for you. Price: $7.07💸 Rating: 7/10 📝
My friends and I stopped at Oh K-Dog for a quick late-night bite, which cured our munchies. We ordered the Oh! K Classic Hot Dog and the Bacon & Cheese Toast. The Toast was very good, and so was the hot dog, but the Potato Hot Dogs did look tastier. They had a variety of seasonings and sauces to spice up your food, which was great, but it did take a while to prepare the food, and we waited for about 15 minutes. It was still very tasty and cured our late-night munchies!
Only good thing about this place is the bathroom attendant Ibrahim. Came in knowing it’s a club and drinks would be more expensive, but the tequila soda I paid over $20 for was extraordinarily weak. Having learned my lesson about ordering liquor from the place, I went back for a second round and asked if they had White Claw. Bartender hands me a Surfside (a little more than $11 for the can), and then PROCEEDS TO SIGN FOR ME, TIP FOR ME, AND TAKE THE HANDHELD AWAY before I can even touch it. This was an extremely quick movement, like he is very well practiced at signing and tipping for customers while they’re putting their cards away the moment they tap. I tipped 20% on my first round. I don’t know what the average tip at this business is or if a noticeable number of customers don’t tip, but frankly, that’s not my problem. You CANNOT sign and tip on a bill on a customer’s behalf. That is outrageously disrespectful, and probably illegal. Maybe he felt overwhelmed by his ~7 customers at his nightclub bar, but that does not excuse this. Truly appalling. I wonder how much money he steals from unknowing customers per month with this kind of behavior. Dude needs to be fired
I was really excited to try these Korean hotdogs and since the reviews are quite high I was confident they would be would be good. I was wrong. On the outside things look promising but on the inside it’s a cold mess. Literally, the hot dog was cold and was surrounded by raw sticky batter. Other customers seemed to have the same problem because, like me, they all threw away the remaining batter. I hope they improve their quality because unless they do, I can’t recommend coming.
