We had an absolutely amazing experience at Mr. Purple in New York. The rooftop views were unlike anything else, truly breathtaking. I also want to give a hugh shoutout to our wonderful server Courtnee. Thank you, Courtnee, for making our first visit so special and for recommending The Formula for our meal. The steak was cooked to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. Incredible food, outstanding service, and all delivered with a warm, genuine smile. I'm so happy we had such an unforgettable dining experience-thank you, Courtnee!

came in today for a drink with a girlfriend and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Wasn’t too busy or loud around 6pm. Drinks were good, and the views from the rooftop are beautiful! We enjoyed a special where you get a steak, fries and martini for $35 that our server Alma recommended and it was great. Will come again

I had the absolute best experience at Mr. Purple the other night! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was perfect. What really made my night, though, was the incredible service. My server, Elma, was beyond amazing. She knew the menu inside out and gave spot-on recommendations for drinks. Between the great vibes, top-tier drinks, and exceptional service, it will become my new go-to spot. If you go (and you should!), definitely ask for Elma, you’ll be in great hands!

I’ve been coming to Mr. Purple for months, and honestly, the place wouldn’t feel the same without Ricky. She’s not just an incredible bartender, she’s the reason the night hits differently. Ricky has this rare way of making you feel instantly welcome, remembered, and taken care of. Your drink is always perfect, the service never feels forced, and the energy she brings behind the bar is unmatched. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that kind of service is rare. The views are stunning, the vibe is iconic, but Ricky is the magic. She turns a great night into an unforgettable one. Came here on a weekday while visiting NYC was a bit quiet but Elma was my server and made my experience so amazing. Not only was she super personable but recommended some amazing drinks, she even invited me back for the summer when the rooftop is open. I ended up staying longer than expected ! Will definitely be back and bring some friends. Views were beautiful as well.

I tried the chicken and waffles at Sweet Chick and absolutely loved it. The portions were very generous, and everything was delicious. I usually don’t love fried food, but this was honestly so good. I ordered the boneless chicken, and the texture of the fried coating was amazing — thick, crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. It actually reminded me a bit of KFC, but better quality. The dish was so filling that I ended up taking a to-go bag, and it was just as good later. Even the little sides that came with it — almost like small creamy scoops — were really tasty. There was only one person working when I went, but they were super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cool and relaxed, making it a great spot to go with friends, in a group, or even with family. A great comfort-food place with generous portions and really good flavors. I’d definitely go back.

Went to Sweet Chick for lunch a couple of weeks ago whilst visiting New York from London. I can honestly say we had the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. My daughter is a big fan of fried chicken and agreed it was better than anything else she’s tasted in New York or London. The staff were all super friendly and the place had a very cool relaxed atmosphere. If we’d have been in New York longer we would have gone back again. Don’t walk past Sweet Chick, just step inside and enjoy it!

Quick, amazing, and friendly service! The staff makes you feel at home and the food comes out in a very timely manner. I had the soy honey garlic chicken tenders with fried, and mac and cheese. When I tell you, you need to stop here and eat, you need to stop here and eat. The people I was with had all different things, and we all tried each other’s stuff, nothing was bad. The carrot cake pancakes honestly took my life they were so good I am simply deceased. That seasoning on that chicken is TOP TIER. On our last day there we came back and I got the shrimp and grits with an over easy egg. Absolutely incredible. So good, reminded me of Home, loved it. I love the atmosphere, the staff is wonderful. I wish that there was one in AUSTIN.

It's a big bar with dancing space on the 15th floor. I was there to dance and see the rooftop, it was some free special that night. But that night it was raining so the rooftop was closed. I just saw vague skyline through the glass walls. Overall it was nice to dance, not crowded.

Mr. Purple was a lot of fun! The rooftop view of the city was immaculate, and they had a great selection of music as well. The drinks were solid, and I enjoyed the overall vibe of Mr. Purple as a whole. Would recommend!

The food was good! But I was not a fan of the drinks. The pornstar martini was more so a passionfruit mimosa, pure prosecco! It was so bubbly rather than smooth. Any good bar serves the prosecco on the side. Our waitress and all the staff were amazing though and the view is worth the $25 drinks. Great music as well. Just really bummed by the drink.

This was our second visit to this property, both times at sunset, this time as hotel guests. The view is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for sunset cocktails. However, regarding the food and cocktails, both are of low quality and do not meet our expectations. We had the worst Aperol Spritz we have had. Bartenders had no clue. Additionally, the bartender was arguing with a client over a card and tried to involve me in the discussion, which was very rude and inappropriate. We had one drink, enjoyed the fantastic view, and left. Many rooftop options, avoid this one.

For a place named sweet chick, I had some sort of expectations for their chicken and waffles. It wasn't bad but imo it wasn't anything special or great. The shrimp and grits had 3 pcs of shrimp and not so cheddar grits....and they had this 2.99% operation charge added to your bill....

Only good thing about this place is the bathroom attendant Ibrahim. Came in knowing it’s a club and drinks would be more expensive, but the tequila soda I paid over $20 for was extraordinarily weak. Having learned my lesson about ordering liquor from the place, I went back for a second round and asked if they had White Claw. Bartender hands me a Surfside (a little more than $11 for the can), and then PROCEEDS TO SIGN FOR ME, TIP FOR ME, AND TAKE THE HANDHELD AWAY before I can even touch it. This was an extremely quick movement, like he is very well practiced at signing and tipping for customers while they’re putting their cards away the moment they tap. I tipped 20% on my first round. I don’t know what the average tip at this business is or if a noticeable number of customers don’t tip, but frankly, that’s not my problem. You CANNOT sign and tip on a bill on a customer’s behalf. That is outrageously disrespectful, and probably illegal. Maybe he felt overwhelmed by his ~7 customers at his nightclub bar, but that does not excuse this. Truly appalling. I wonder how much money he steals from unknowing customers per month with this kind of behavior. Dude needs to be fired

Have you ever gone been the one to suggest a place, and then it falls through? That's what happened here. We had the option to go here or to a different restaurant and because I've been here a few times before (but not enough to be considered a regular) I suggested we come here. I checked to see if there was a way to make resys, and that wasn't an option that I noticed, so we just went as walk-ins. It was a Wednesday and about 6pm. When we walked in, I noticed there were people sitting to the side waiting to be seated, but they had a larger party they were waiting for. The back area was empty, and a few tables were empty up front, but the bar was pretty full. We walked in and waited a few minutes , and eventually, we were acknowledged by the bartender who said our table would be ready shortly. While waiting, some regulars walked in and seated themselves in the back and at the bar, notifying the bartender of where they were going. Maybe their party was there so I was minding my business. Although a few tables were already cleaned and set up, we we told to wait for one being cleaned from guests who just left, but no problem. We were told to go sit in the table just wiped down, and I was given some menus and informed water would be brought over. Guests for two other tables came in and were seated pretty quickly, and the person tending the bar came over to bring them water and take their orders as well. Now, with it being allergy season, and although I carry around a bottle of water in case I get choked up, I ran out. So I felt a coughing fit coming on, and since we still hadn't received any water or service at all at this point, I got up and went to the bar to ask for some water. The bartender who stated we were going to get water 2 tables and 15-20 mins ago stops me on my way up there and basically reprimands me saying "sit 'sweetie' I got you! " I'm trying to explain to him how I actually needed water then, and he's telling me that he's coming as if it was just my not being patient. I could have said something more or ignored him and got water anyway but I wanted to see how this played out so I went back to the table and sat and waited and started coughing as I knew would happen and he eventually came over after chatting with some friends or locals that came in and another table. Finally, he comes over to bring our table a bottle of water. At that point, he then he took our order. We informed him that at this juncture the dessert (slice of cake) that we were ordering we wanted packed up to go, because we knew our timing and he proceeded to tell us we can take our time and chill and have it afterwards.... Fast forward, we get our food after a while. And we have no utensils. Yes, we have chicken for a portion of the meal, but we also had food that needed forks... At no point did our server come to check on us to find out if we were good or if anything was needed when our food was delivered. He did enjoy the camaraderie of the regulars who stopped by and those who seemed to be friends. In no way would I ever say or suggest to ignore those who are your regulars because that's how you keep them, but also don't ignore those who you think are new or you just don't notice because that prevents them from returning. We were able to get another servers attention and asked for to go boxes and then adked for the check. We basically were seated to get our food to go. One star is for the other server who came up to assist, (female, pretty brown- skin, pony tail, average height and nice demeanor) and another star for the person bringing out dishes and running back and forth seemingly bringing dishes from storage (male, latino, braids, about 5'3, -5'5 very polite). This really took away from my previous experiences there, and I doubt I'd plan to return anytime in the near future.

I used to love this place. Lately the food is inedible, and it looks like they are just purchasing frozen chicken from the supermarket shelves. The bread is not good, and the fries I got yesterday were like rubber. I think they lost their chef and are just trying to stay open. This is not what sweet chick used to taste like and it's been at least 4 months of this crap. I try it every month to see if they got their stuff together but still no. Even though I usually order delivery, I put a 4 for atmosphere because I've been there before, its a nice place. 1 for service because they are serving this crap and because they always forget the coke. FOOD is a 0 right now if I could rate it 0, used to be a 5. I used to order multiple times a week.

Charged me $5 for a 30 cent servings worth of spring mix and a side of dressing. Went back and asked to exchange for fries and the bartender argued with me that I’d didn’t know what a side salad is. 20 years in hospitality I never post negative reviews but she was so rude I can’t let it go.
