I have eaten here frequently. Owners are pleasant. Food is excellent. I have over various times eaten sashimi, oyaku don, salmon Bento set, miso soup, chicken donburi, tempura. Everything has been consistently tasty, well presented and fresh. Heartily recommend them. What to be aware of? The place is small. Seating is solo style. Not table style. I always do takeaway and have been happy with the food.

I go here for the plain Ramyan soup all the time. I dont understand the complaints about bad service, I haven't ever had a bad experience. Love the brown rice option for the sushi. It's a little more healthy, and it tastes better than white rice!

The sushi here is delicious. I would recommend trying the House Volcano Roll and the crunchy roll with Spicy Salmon. The interior of the restaurant is small but overall, I experienced great service here as well as delicious sushi from this small business.

sushi was made to order, tastes good but portions are really small. Very pricey too... you can spend $30 on sushi and still feel half-full. Aside from pricey menu, food is okay.

It’s an okay place. Small cute spot for a quick stop. Sushi didn’t look fantastic to me I have to say. Taste will give it a 3 out of 5.

We, like many others before us I'm sure, were looking for a convenient spot to grab a quick lunch before catching a movie, and this place provided it. Friendly enough service, we met our 40-minute time limit with plenty of time to spare, but the prices were about average and the taste/quality about the same. So more accurately about two and a half stars, but to give it two stars would make it seem like a negative review which is inaccurate. It wasn't by any means a bad experience, I just feel that there are better choices in that area. But if you're looking for a quick bite before a movie and hankering for sushi, they're fast, friendly, the food is decent, the prices about average for sushi, and on a nice day you can eat outside in front of the place.

The sushi was good and the owners friendly. Where I'm having a problem is the service. If you are located in a decent nice place you should have a waiter/waitress. I order sushi with a bento box. The bento come out first. We sit outside and eat. A few minutes later the lady comes out and says "your sushi is ready" so, I had to stop the intimate conversation I was having. Get up, go inside and pick up the sushi. If the lady was already there, I. think she should've brought it out to me, show good customer service on their behalf. But no, it was a fail.

Called a relatively normal order of 6 rolls in (for pickup). Was told 10 minutes. Ok great, arrive at the restaurant in 10 minutes, and wait, and wait, and wait. Eventually got the order 25 minutes -after- the promised 10 minutes. No aknowledgement of the situation. Also rolls cost a dollar per roll more than on the menu/website.

Don’t wait your money: 1. Rice is terrible. Hard. 2. The nigiri fish is thin as paper. 3. You have to pay for soy sauce and ginger. In short, it’s terrible. The only reason why we were there was because it’s right next to the hotel 😅.

Ok, I don't think I had terribly high expectations, but I expected it to be pretty decent. And I have to say, it was not pretty decent. But I checked it out because a friend said their rice bowls "looked good". I just got the fish katsu bento, and what I got, For $12 (and I tipped them $2 on top of that, was a few tiny squares of warm, breaded fried fish that seemed microwaved from frozen, 2 pieces of cold cooked broccoli, two pieces of cold cooked carrot, raw cabbage with some kind of Thousand Island-type dressing on it, a tiny bit of seaweed salad, and a small container of room temperature rice, some odd tasting teriyaki type sauce for the fish, and no soy sauce (but you can purchase "extra sauces" for $.50... I'd give this place a definite thumbs down, sadly, since I was looking forward to a decent meal, but since I feel so ripped off, and the bento wasn't even good, or even decent, I had to review it so that others who look up reviews don't also waste their money. I heard from another friend in my group that Tokyo Buffett across the way was good for $9.00 so I'd check that out if I were there for another day, instead. Cheers!

The food is very good, but the Lady that takes your order is very very rude, I paid 21.07 dollars to eat inside, and after I paid I wanted a little bit of Teriyaki sauce because I Forgot and they wanted to charge me 50 cts I ate my Food and left. I am a frequent traveler that stays in Harmon Meadow and usually eat sushi at this place. Good luck with the Lady at the cashier.

It my first time checking this place out and honestly it was disappointing. I ordered a salmon poke bowl but it was more of a veggie rice bowl because there was so little salmon. Also the sushi lunch deal. 3 rolls special Is no deal... if it is $19.99, they charged me $22.××. Incl taxes.. you might as well buy the rolls separately, because it would be the same price. Also the rolls are small and no spicy mayonnaise included when you order spicy tuna for example. Also the prices on the menu paper are not the same as on the board... it was $1 more for the 3 roll special... so why even have the paper menu? This place is way overpriced... and not worth it.

Don't go there unless you feel like eating rice only. The rolls are with triple rolls of rice, nothing I have seen before. You get full from exactly 3 pieces. By far, the worst sushi place.

I gave this place 2 tries. First time here, the lady put up a sign on the register that they were going on lunch break for 30 mins. We came back 45 mins later, the staff were still sitting in the kitchen with no intention to serve us, so we left. Second time here, they were serving food at the register. I asked which dish that was, the lady said it was the spicy thin noodle. I could see and smell it to be sure it was just packaged instant noodles, so I ordered udon instead. When the food was here, it was not udon, just wide flat noodles. I barely touched my food because I was just disappointed. My husband also wasn't impressed with his sushi. Will not return to this place.

I am definitely reporting the owner Mike to the Better Business Bureau of NJ first thing tomorrow Morning, I placed a 35.00 order today and the owner Mike came to deliver my food and made a huge seen at my work place over a tip that I told him I would give. Was very embarrassing he started yelling saying that I would give him a tip after I told him I was , I was using dealing with an upset patient at work on the phone. Mike began to yell and say he is never delivering here again. It was very embarrassing and I am reporting this business.

Here right now......for an order of Shumai and a shrimp tempura roll it shouldn't take half hour. Got the the shumai, saw it come right out the microwave and it was cold. Still haven't gotten the roll. And saw 4 customers walk in place orders and are out the door already. Very poor customer service.

This place is horrible. I ordered TWO SEPERATE orders of chicken tempura for TWO SEPERATE people and they went and put it in one small plate together. Worst sushis ever! There was almost no salmon. Very basic sushi very small and no avocado, no cucumber or nothing just Lots of hard rice. I did not get the opportunity to actually taste their food I went on line to look at the menu make a selection and hopefully order online and that was not available so they had a nice phone button available so I used the button and I got connected to someone who could not understand English and was not familiar with their own Menu items I tried my best to communicate with them for I did want to make a purchase.. The gentleman then proceeded to tell me he could not help me over the phone I must come in ..during These pandemic times and during this century I find that to be archaic

The food isn't fresh,it's expensive, and for example they use expired tuna for spicy tuna rolls and volcano rolls,just covering them in oily crunch, spicy mayo.The customers eat with out knowing. supermarket sushi is much fresher since they discard and replace ingredients daily. It was quite a disappointing experience, definitely not coming back. I was in the mood for sushi so I suggested this place to my boyfriend before the movie... We had about 40 minutes before the showtime, there were only 2 customers in front of us. We ordered miso soup, beef udon, shrimp dumplings, and salmon PokeBall. It took over 35 minutes to get this! We were both starving at that point, and had about 5 minutes left to eat in order not to miss the movie. There were barely any Salmon in the PokeBall. Most of it was chopped lettuce, rice, some mayo dressing and covered with weird crunchy crumbled stuff that made my stomach really upset. It looked nothing like the photo they advertised on the display. Both of us had discomfort in our stomachs for few hours after we left. I would not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately. The bill was around $50.

Rudest sushi chef I have ever experience in 30 years eating in various Japanese restaurant. What a waste of $77 plus 10 tip prior to service. Not worth it. Disappointing. They give you an option to replace the white rice with brown rice for an extra charge which I paid. Yet the order came with white rice. The delivery was not brought up to my apt, but was left in the lobby. Sloppy, and unprofessional. Won't order again.

And guess what I found, charges for items I didn’t even purchase. They charged me for a drink which I didn’t buy plus they also charge you .35 cents for paper bag…. When they give you plastic. I ordered a vegetarian roll, a tuna roll, shrimp shumai, and a vegetarian udon soup. They also decided to add an egg to the mix and me not knowing was eating this stuff until a piece of chicken was scooped and I thought it was tofu cause why would I have chicken in a vegetarian a order. To make matters worst, I was charged for the meal even though I gave the soup back and the guy apologized. I didn’t want to argue as my stomach was already in a frenzy and I just wanted to get out of there without throwing a fit. The man who worked at the counter on Tuesday morning was extremely rude and unprofessional. I am surprised this establishment is still in business

This is by far the worst sushi place in the area, probably one of the worst restaurants in general. I've given this place like 10 tries now because it's the closest sushi to my work, each time has been worse than the last. Food quality is awful, ingredients carelessly tossed together into a mess barely resembling sushi, often either missing something or overpacked with wasabi that makes it unedible. Service is even worse. Rude, ordering for pickup food is always 15-20 minutes late since they doesn't even look at the order until you ask about it. Even if the food was great the price is on the higher side, absolutely nothing redeemable about this place. I keep telling myself I'm giving up on this place but end up going anyway just since it's close by and end up getting disappointed more than I thought possible.
