Opinions de NYC Pizza Kitchen New York
One of my favorite spots to share a slice with my love late at night. The service is excellent and personal, the pizza is fantastic, and the atmosphere is classic NYC with 1940s Sinatra on repeat.
My favorite pizzeria in new york. Staff is hardworking and friendly. Great regular and buffalo slices!
The pizza was good. Got Cesar salad pizza slice and buffalo chicken slice. The crust was thin and was mouth watering. Would go back again to try the desserts and more pizzas.
Very fast service. Cash prices are cheaper. There's bagels and desserts as well. If you dine in, they bring the food to you. The selection of pizzas is extensive. Open late all the time.
Best pizza place I've been to in NYC. Clean, well organized, and the pizza is much better than the average pizza place anywhere close to this price range.
My whole life that place was a fruit stand so I felt obligated to try it out. The plain slice was delicious, and all of there signature slices looked like they taste just as delicious!!!
Outstanding pizza place all around. Slices served on ceramic plates, nice dinner napkins, at a good price. I love everything about this restaurant.
Great service, I always look forward to going there, their pizza choices r great too. The staff are great.
Very nice people that attend to your order I recommend great atmosphere and good food too
Amazing no matter what time you go.. thin crust, equal cheese to sauce ratio, and amazing range of style pizza. Specialty slices are $5/slice
I visited when it first opened, wanted to order something, and they told me it was complimentary. It was a delicious suprise. Really clean and elegant spot with Amazing Pizza !
Late night in the city with family from Florida, looking for a place to eat, stopped at the red light and saw this place on the right and decided to get pizza....and didn't regret it. Bought a whole white pizza and other slices ..it was really good. The place was clean, friendly and helpful staff and service. After paying, my son decided to get cannoli and the owner I believed gave him a free one on the house. It was one of the best connoli we had. I highly recommend this place.
The furnishings and the atmosphere was astonishing. I have never been to a pizza shop that was so clean and looked so good. Would recommend as a quick bite for a date night due to good seating options. Good experience.
Good pizza. Will go back
Pizza was great! Several different options outside of pizza. Desserts looked amazing! To full to try them.
Coming from Bellevue Hospital on my way to the 6 train, I decided to stop here for dinner. The individual sized Margherita Pizza was larger than I expected and quite delicious. A very lovely place to eat and watch football on TV. It's more than just your average pizza joint, which I was surprised by. I really enjoyed eating there!
Great pizza thoughtfully made. They use good pizza dough and other ingredients. You order and then have a seat. They serve your pizza on a plate (not paper) and there is no tipping. Well run and polite staff.
Easy, casual pizza spot that actually serves a variety of tasty pizza by the slice.
For my first time going in there the service was really good the waitress was so nice and the food was amazing. The waitress was so nice and since it was my first time there with my mom she offered us a free slice of cake out of no where that they serve which was also tasted amazing. This place is definitely worth checking out. I'll definitely come back again because of how good everything was.
I came here because i saw Barstool reviews…. gotta say…. it’s a good traditional NY slice. Great taste and crispy crust. Super friendly staff too. Keep it up!
I was on my way home and really had to use the bathroom. I had been having a really bad day and nothing was going my way. So I walked in and asked to use the bathroom. Fatima greeted me and kindly told me, that would be fine after a purchase. I didn’t have my wallet on me. So I said thank you anyway. And as I was going to leave, noticing how bad the situation was, allowed me to use the bathroom. As long as I purchased something next time. Her kindness was the last thing I expected but had such a profound impact on my day. I am so thankful and next time I will keep to my word. Truly kind people there. Thank you.
It's an easy place to go to it's a walk-in restaurant you find your own seats it's good for a few friends to gather after a good time.
one of my fav pizza places. they have so many slices for decent prices. my fav is the penne vodka slice !
Great pizza, fast service. Nice atmosphere and sitting area...like an up scale pizza ship but regular NYC slice prices ($3.50 for plain slice).
Came to couple pizza spots in NYC Came back 3 times in 3 days Flavor, quality, and service My daughter couldn’t get enough of there spaghetti and meatballs Pizza was always fresh and warmed up to perfection. You can tell quality ovens and quality ingredients being used. Maybe one of the reasons I will come back to NYC just for slice of pizza for this place.
Very good pizza. Had a slice of plain and one Hawaiian. Family member had a burger (8 oz.!) which I sampled. Broiled beautifully and done exactly as ordered. Excellent onion rings. Very good fries. Highly recommend. First visit. Atmosphere just right as well. Very impressive.
The staff were so pleasant, the pizza was delicious, loved how the staff was welcoming entering the place and especially they were very nice to gave me kids a free dessert :) Will definitely go back, recommend this pizzeria
Was a big fan of the pizza and the garlic knots, which came with marinara sauce!
Called in quickly for a slice of take out pizza . It was simply delicious. !!! I wish that we weren't booked for somewhere later as I would have stayed here and devoured a whole pizza . They are yummy 😋😋.
Unbelievable pizza. Amazing amount of selection for different and unique kinds of slices. Cannoli was excellent as well. Workers are very kind, and the price is extremely reasonable.
This pizza was so good 10/10 will be coming back
We really enjoyed NYC Pizza Kitchen. The pizza was top notch! I had a salad which was fresh and excellent. And the desserts were so good! The folks were courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the food so much in the evening, we went back for breakfast the next morning. We were equally pleased with the food and service that morning. You simply have to go!
The food is delicious, the staff is very courteous, and I love the classic old style music. This place has a great vibe.
Great spot if you want great pizza. Lovely place with lovely playlist
Nice fresh pizza, decent pastas and dinners, delicious soups.
Ordered three large pizzas and all were delicious. Good crust, good sauce to cheese ratio, felt fresh. Appreciated the staff making sure we had plates and napkins in a bag before the pizzas came out of the oven. Was proud to serve people visiting the pizza.
We absolutely loved Pizza Kitchen. We ate in one day and take out the next. I can not fault the food or the staff at all; probably the best pizza slices I've ever had - we tried several over the two visits. The deserts were delicious too. Please bring Pizza Kitchen to the UK!
Pizza was great but the staff was even more superb! They have a huge selection and are very quick.
Traveled around the city and tried different pizza places all weekend, this place was GREAT
I just love their cheesecakes. The owner told me they make them themselves. Great quality and affordable. If you’re in East Midtown give it a try, it won’t disappoint. Other positive thoughts: Music selection was great, definitely it gives you the New York vibes with amazing classics, customer service was friendly, and super CLEAN.
I visited the pizzeria for lunch, it's a cute spot, with tons of options to choose from. The young lady at the cash register was very friendly and patient. The place was nice and clean. The food was very tasty and they give you a large portion. I would recommend thus place to all of my friends.
I am new to New York, already tried 5 Pizza Stores so far and i have to admit this is the best NYC Pizza I tried yet. Keep going !
This is a little gem, in disguise. It doesn’t look fabulous from the outside, but once inside the magic happens. Amazing food, perfect dinner music by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and the like, wonderful service by the gentlemen who run this restaurant with heart and pride for their Italian heritage. We enjoyed pizza by the slice, garlic knots and the cheese cake, all equally delicious. Wonderful inviting place we wholeheartedly recommend for dinner and conversation.
I went on New Year's day and the girl at the register was so polite and welcoming.. great customer service and great food!!
Pizzas are super good with fresh ingredients! The cheesecake with berries was amazing too It s clean and great customer service Highly recommend !
Both the food and the hospitality were great. The people behind the counter are very friendly and speedy with service. Pizza lived up to the New York City reputation perfectly.
I'm completely sold on this place, and you will be also. I was taken aback by how good it was. I've loved each dish I've ordered here. The workers have called me by name since my initial visit and remain constantly attentive. The whole operation demonstrates skill here.
Tried a slice of their Sicilian and their deep dish because I was in the mood for a lot of dough and it didn't disappoint. Very tasty dough and sauce. I especially appreciate it that the slices were not greasy. I visited around midnight and I still had a large selection and everything still tasted really fresh.
I want to start off by saying thank you so so very much to Ms. Fatima and her staff at this establishment. The service was top notch. My family and I were in town for Thanksgiving. We decided to have pizza and it was close to our hotel. Based off the reviews and the cleanliness from the pictures, we decided to eat there. We had such a great time, we decided to come back the next day before we flew back home. The food was awesome. We thank you for Blessing us with dessert. The prices were great. We had such a great time. Ms. Fatima you're a great leader and it showed by the way we were treated by you and your staff. Thank you from my whole entire family. When we come back to New York, we will be eating there again. Take care and God Bless!
Great pizza and desserts at a pizza shop which is better described as a restaurant with reasonable prices. Pizza was slightly crispy as it cracked a bit when folding but still had a nice chew. Definitely recommend. Credit/debit card have 3.5% convenience fee. They also sell calzones, sandwiches, pasta, rolls, bagels, baguettes, and soup. They also have tons of desserts like tiramisu, cannoli (2 giant ones for $6, but prefilled), pudding, cake slices ( carrot, chocolate etc), pudding and more. We had a pepperoni slice, vegetable slice and a chicken cutlet sandwich and finished with cannoli. All four were really good. I would have liked the calzone to be a bit crispier.
While it’s called NYC Pizza Kitchen this place has more than just pizza. It’s got some really good deserts and meals that are pretty tasty. Love the vibe and the place is conveniently located. Having said that I think the industrial steel oven they use just makes the pizzas the way they are. What you see is what you get. I don’t think it’s possible to get a char or a taste like Wood or Coal fire and that’s ok but hopefully the owner sees and understands the pizza just won’t be an 8 or up pizza score with that style. I personally think it’s good for what it is. Of course there is better pizza but I think the specialty pizzas are also pretty decent. Specialty is way better than the cheese they shell out. Overall I will say this to the owners 1. Work on fine tuning the oven to get a greater crisp on the pizza. The crust could use some serious work. 2. Try and make the dough less doughy and have more of that classic New York style pizza crunch. 3. Perhaps use a water softener? If they don’t have one I would invest in one. Could make the dough better. Tap water just doesn’t cut it. 4. Don’t change the deserts they are perfect. 5. Don’t fire any kitchen staff. Just train them and put some extra hours in after closing to refine your cooking methods. Work together and teach the pizza makers what pizza can be. Bring them to some high class establishments in New York or New Haven and let them get knowledge of how to cook it just right even with a conventional metal oven. I certainly will be back to this place but they just need a little extra devotion and practice in the kitchen to really make this place a 5 star. Hope they make some changes and the owner sees this message. Keep up the great work.
Dessert was incredible, pizza was just okay. The slices were cooked a bit too much so they were too crispy to really taste the flavor of each slice unfortunately. Same with the knots, which also weren’t that garlicky. The desserts were amazing though and I’d return just for that. Extra stars for sure. Cannoli was rich - more sweet than ricotta-y. Rainbow cookie cake was delicious with perfect ratios
TLDR: absurd wait time, but it's worth it if you get the lasagna The wait time is insane. Like actually. However, each item comes with a side like a soup or a salad. They serve you this first so you can have it while you wait. I had the salad, the dressing was actually really good. My friend had the soup and really enjoyed it. Any menu item can be ordered as a pasta or a sub sandwich with fries which is cool. When our food eventually came we had - lasagna, chicken parmasean, chicken and broccoli pasta, and some type of sub (can't recall). The chicken parm was good, the chicken and broccoli pasta was a bit bland tbh, had to add some seasoning to that...but the lasagna omg...best lasagna ever - everyone tried it, we all agreed. Also they didn't serve like a small square, it was the size of the entire plate! Also, everything is made fresh and just for you so I guess thst explain the wait.
*Update* While my review of the pizza remains the same due to a general lack of consistency and pricey slices, I've added a star because of the exceptional desserts & baked goods they've got on hand, too. The cannolis are huge and rich (cream cheese filling, not ricotta, so it can be a bit too heavy if eaten all at once) and have lots of crunchy mini-chocolate chips garnishing either end. But the multi-berry cheesecake is absolutely spectacular. The slice was the size of a planet and has a fluffy, almost effervescent creaminess to it with the most subtle hint of lemon that defines the dessert's lightness. The cheesecake alone garnered the additional star. It can't be missed! ..... Don't get me wrong: This spot does have some great slices. The white pizza in particular is mighty tasty. But the red sauce on the cheese slice is a bit too sweet for me, and the chicken bacon ranch slice is absolutely delicious -- but not consistent (my last time there, my slice had but a whisper of ranch.) The spot is pricey, too, at almost $6 for the CBR slice. It's open late, which is great, and right down my block. But if you're willing to walk a few extra minutes down 3rd Ave, you'll find better -- and cheaper -- pizza at La Vera and Lunetta's.
Nice local pizza place with a mix of ready made pies and indoor seating available
It's very rare that I am greeted when I enter a fast food establishment. I was pleasantly surprised when it happened. The gentleman behind the counter was a heavy set guy, but my no means sloppy. I ordered 2 meat lovers, and I paid and took my seat. While on my phone, another gentleman who worked there was nice enough to bring my pizza to the table, another pleasant surprise. The pizza was well made, flavorful, and not too greasy. My only complaint was that there was a vagabond who came in and asked me to buy them a slice. I don't like being disturbed while I'm eating under any circumstances. I paid for his slice, continued my meal, and left.
Nice little pizza place with a huge selection of pizzas by the slice. Nice seating with big windows and a big selection of desserts. Good comfortable vibe.
My kids love NYc style pizzas and saw this place . Didn’t think twice to buy some pizzas home . Location wise it’s slightly off .. 3rd Avenue - nothing much of restaurants here .. and this one was good . no parking .. Lots of space inside and lots of chairs inside to sit and eat . Service was quick . Not many inside when I went .. got some pizzas and they were good . Slightly pricey but ok for the location. 2 slices was about 10$ with tips. They display a wide range of pizzas when you enter , and it is so satisfying . You will be tempered to buy more . :) good experience overall . 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ordered spinach roll: staff was polite and friendly (4 stars) spinach roll was below average(2 stars). Dough was crispy but spinach and mozzarella were bland. I could get the same roll for half the price elsewhere. Atmosphere was comfortable though so 3 stars.
It's kinda hit or mis with them. Sometimes, the pizza is great. Other times, it's not. Salads are great.
Decent cheese slice and mushroom slice. Best thing about the pizza was the crust but sauce and cheese could be better quality. Good prices but nothing memorable.
Every thing looked so Good ! However I ordered a Slice w/Egg plant, What a treat.untill I folded it and the crust cracked in Eight places. Now I know, (I made pizza for about 3 years) There was a yeast problem, Did he forget to put in in the dough, was it inactive? I'm not sure. That problem needs correction Quick if they want to make it in NYC !
This is the first and probably only review I will ever write on Google but I honestly had a terrible experience at NYC Pizza Kitchen tonight. The service was bad, our order was wrong, and when we tried to let the staff know, more food was brought out. We then asked if that is what we were already charged for and were told yes. Then, before leaving, we were asked to pay more for the meal. I have no idea what happened this evening but I walked out with an empty stomach and empty wallet. Wish I was kidding. Would not recommend.
Very familiar with this neighborhood so I stopped in on a hunch. I do remember liking the old pizzeria that was here (2017) . Well present day not so much. If you cannot get the pizza rite I'd prolly never get to try your food etc. The pizza tastes cheap. The dough the sauce everything ! I had a plain and pepperoni slice . I will say the pepperoni tasted fresh and not cheap. The decor and atmosphere is nice. They were playing frank Sinatra music. Just a very below average pizza score tbh. The desserts do look amazing though
The pizza looks ok. Tried the free slice before they opened. NOT NYC pizza. I thought I would give it another try. When going to pay they have the balls to charge 3.5% more using a credit card. So I went to my regular great go to place…Pastafina which moved about 2 blocks from where they were. THE soooo much better choice.
They charge me and my friend for 4 slices total and only gave us 3 when we went back to ask the guy kept saying “give me a minute” and when we finally got fed up and said never mind the guy does a rude comment “ok perfect” they scam!!
avoid at all costs, ordered a gluten free pizza, the young waitress completely ignored and decided to give a regular pizza, when i understood it was not gluten free after one bite, and informed staff it is a heath concern they could only say " sorry for the inconvenience". Being sick for 3 days, loosing 10% of weight, lack of sleep is not a inconvenience
Don’t have the decency to provide a glass of tap water on hot evening after we paid in full for several slices - forces you to buy overpriced bottled water. On top of that, the manager was extremely rude and and accusing me of being intoxicated in order to avoid providing tap water when I was clearly not! Take your business elsewhere and don’t bother spending a dime on this business without morals and human decency
Almost any dollar slice joint beats this pizza place hands down. It’s a new spot, so first test is always a large cheese, waited the 15 they quoted, returned after 20, then they said 5 more mins, saw them throw in a dry pie and then handed it to me after 2 reheating. Wasn’t that great, but def could be better fresh…not sure though.
Like a lot of places, it's overpriced and NOT worth it. I can accept higher than normal prices with the way commercial rents are and I am very willing to pay extra, as long as the food and service are at least good. Here you will get bad food and a rude childish staff. I ordered a $12 pepperoni roll... I waited long enough for it to at least be hot.. I handed my bag and went to my car. I opened the bag, and it looked like it was made yesterday.. However It was COLD, AND RAW inside, the cheese wasn't even melted. I brought it back in and said that to the gentleman at the counter, he looked at it and said "ok do you want something else or what?" I said no thank you I think I'll go somewhere else, the guy who "heated it up" Came over, said something nasty in spanish, proceeded to crumple up the bag and throw it on the floor, he threw a tantrum like a 3 year old... I did get a refund.. To the staff and owner, don't assume you can speak in a different language (especially spanish that is so widely spoken in this city) and assume the stupid customer doesn't understand, if you're going to charge $12 for a pepperoni roll, COOK IT, NO REILLY COOK IT and preferably on the same day you plan to sell it, don't have a fit and throw things on the floor like a child when someone, EXTREMELY POLITELY mind you, asks for a refund for UNTOUCHED FOOD. If you let your staff treat the people who live in the neighborhood like this you will only get the after bar crowd at 2am on the weekends. I live across the street and I am going to make SURE I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW from my 14 years living ACROSS the street to NEVER go there. I own a business and I WOULD BE ASHAMED OF MYSELF if a customer of mine was treated this way.
Avoid. We got a pizza with half marg, half buff chicken. They charged for 2 pizzas: one large and one large 50% off. This of course made no sense but my friend just wanted to get back since their service was terrible. I called and the guy refunded the 50% off. Great right? Nope: pizza was somehow $50 despite a large being $35. It was already below avg pizza but for $50, it was the worst value pizza I have ever had. Save yourself the trouble
Pepperoni slice and the slice of cheesecake was pretty good, however we also got a slice of chocolate layer cake that tasted like how nail polish remover smells. 2-3 of us tried it and all agreed it had a chemical like taste. Interaction with the guy behind the counter and cashier felt awkward and they didn’t seem friendly.
