Came for the all you can eat mussels + a beer for $28 on Wednesday’s. Really great deal, delicious mussels. Fantastic service! Super chill environment. Noticed how family friendly they are. Also, the Belgian waffles are a must!!
Best brunch I've had so far in New York City. They allow dogs outside on the patio area. I loved how they offer a bottomless mimosa option on their menu. The fried chicken and waffles are exquisite. If you're in the area, it's a must.
Awesome service. These guys made me want to visit Belgium. Plus, it's 100% wheelchair accessible, so that's a win in my book
I've been eating here since it opened, it has always been nice. Only problem is that it got more expensive over the last decade.
Delicious, well executed dishes. Always a good choice when in NYC. Love the mussels.
Stopped here for dinner with an old friend. The food was delicious and the service fast and friendly.
Delicious omelette and loved the side dishes with it; surprisingly complemented the meal with a side of arugula and shoep (like seasoned mashed potatoes). A glass of Prosecco topped it off. The restaurant is a little pricey for lunch, but it is very tasty!
I've eaten dinner here a number of times and am never disappointed! My boyfriend and I always do the prix fixe dinner for $29 which include appetizer, entree & dessert, and are very satisfied and stuffed each time we finisu! Plus, service is always great 👍👍
It's great for the family at night eating awesome Belgium food. The waffle for dessert was the best waffle I've ever tried in my life. (this is not a joke).
The food was amazing, portion sizes were great the waitress was cool and every staff member were tastefully dressed with a flannel shirt although it was busy making a reservation is a great way to ensure you and your party get a table
Great for brunch. Outdoor seating is available. Lots of omelettes and burgers for those wanting something different.
If you love waffles, love eating outside, and a great selection of beers this is an awesome place. The breakfast omelets are great too,
Very nice place to eat. Went with a group of 6, great service and food was very good. Cost vs Value was great.
Spacious Belgian restaurant with some great menu choices and an interesting array of beers. Most entrees are in the ~$25 price range, so it’s not exactly cheap, but on Sundays they offer free kids meals (with each adult main meal ordered) which makes a family meal very economical.
Had a great juicy burger for lunch. Coffee was good too. I found the menu to be quite lacking in variety and the prices quite steep, especially with the smaller-than-usual portions of the food. Service was prompt and friendly and the place had a cozy and inviting vibe.
Perfect place for kids, very accommodating, food is tasty, fresh, but not outstanding. Prices are reasonable, and service is friendly.
Great breakfast and brunch spot in downtown Manhattan. They have done if the best waffles in the city.
Solid neighborhood spot. The moules frites are fantastic and very filling. It's a good spot for watching a soccer match too.
Solid lunch and happy hour spot right by work! Wednesdays is unlimited mussels.
Good food and a nice atmosphere. Lots of things to choose from and some great beers!
Good food, great outdoor seating when the weather is right, and very family/stroller friendly.
Quality food, decent prices, cool artwork/vibe. Recommend for groups, lunch or dinner
Good option in the area. Popped in for a late bar snack but that's not really their thing. Beers on tap nod to Belgium but nothing too interesting as it probably wouldn't sell. That said, my Leffe and onion soup were good and arrived promptly
The food is served fast and fresh. The few times we have been, the hosts and servers were friendly and professional. The place is usually packed on Sunday for brunch. Nice place!
Good place if you are going with stroller. A bit slow but perfect for a slow Sunday brunch. Only reason to take one point off is drinks, such as mimosa pitcher cocktails are less than oridinary.
Probably the best place in the area for families with young children. Good space, very stroller friendly especially during weekdays lunches. Food is a little expensive for what it is and the service is often very slow, but so grateful to have it nearby because it allows the whole family to go and enjoy a meal together.
Petit Abeille is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with good food, beer, and atmosphere. Their breakfast and takeout nook offer great options, like the variety of breakfast sandwiches and coffee drinks. Their Gelato is decent, fairly priced. The only downside is that sometimes, parents bring their children and think it's ok to let them run riot around the restaurant. So far I have seen this twice, and management has yet to say something to the parents. If they were willing to ask parents to control their reckless children, it would have a clear 5 stars for me. If there are no children present, it can be a 5.
This place has a small storefront that I missed the restaurant and ended up walking backwards to find this place. The restaurant is small but when I went in a weekday morning, it wasn't crowded and there was no wait. I had their egg sandwich which was decent. It wasn't out of ordinary and it didn't taste spectacular. I probably should have gotten the Belgian waffle but it was way too early for me to have sweets, since I'm trying to limit my sugar intake. The service was slow, we didn't really get our cup filled with water but there was only one waiter and he was walking around couple tables here and there, so its understandable. I will definitely try this place again for their Belgian waffles!
Got the salmon cream cheese omelette and Belgian ice cream waffles. The waffles and ice cream tasted like SUMMER and were so delicious. The omelette was really good too. All the food was amazing!!! The only thing that sucked was the waitress took forever to refill water and come back to us.
Belgian place on the lower east side. Came here for brunch-it was very crowded, but fortunately we didn't have to wait long, about 5 minutes or so. I liked the decor-I have grown up reading Tin Tin and they had a shelf on the wall full of Tin Tin comics and blackboard with names of some famous people who are actually Belgian, it was fun to read. Now to the food-they have a whole section of Belgian waffles for brunch, my boyfriend tried the one with strawberries and cream which he liked. I got the Salmon burger-it was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. My friend got an omelette-and it came with the most delicious potato leek mash (I got to try some of it). All in all, food was great, no complaints with the waitstaff either-very prompt service. Oh-and they have an all you can eat mussel deal on Wednesdays-would like to try those mussels sometime.
This is a great place to brunch especially if you live in Stuyvesant Town or Peter Cooper Village. My usual dish is the Croque Madame with fries. Their other items are great too like the Hangover Sandwich or the omelettes. Also, you can dine outside if the weather is nice. The staff are very friendly especially if you go there as often as I do.
Great brunch spot. Spacious so didn't have to wait. Wide variety of brunch options and good prices. Excellent beer list. I would go back to try the Belgian waffles
A very friendly staff with decent NYC food and drink. The place was bustling with families enjoying a Sunday lunch. I would go back.
Great on weeknights for their specials, like belgian beer night or unlimited mussels night. Check out their website for details and plan ahead!
Came here for lunch on a weekday, and got a burger. Cute place, some decent prices for good belgian beers, and the fries had a nice crunch to them. Burger was only mediocre, but looking forward to checking out their specials on mussels someday.
Food is just okay. Wait for a table took 30 minutes despite a reservation. Mimosas not very good. And the place was so loud.. could be that it was Sunday brunch time and probably means people were enjoying themselves? But anyway, no point trying to have a conversation here at that time.
The food is very good. The big problem is the NOISE level; the highest of any restaurant I have ever frequented. This is one reason I prefer to go elsewhere. If you are going just to eat, fine. If you want to dine with others, go somewhere else, because there can be no exchange of conversation.
Food is good but nothing stunning, prices are on the high end. The only thing on the menu I strongly recommend is their lavender ice cream. Nice atmosphere to dine with your family.
The breakfast food was fine, enjoyable but not memorable. The service seemed lost, not really being able to communicate well, until we started talking with them in Spanish, and they became cheerful and a lot more helpful.
Great location & plenty outdoor seating. But overpriced. Solid burger but is $18. They've very accommodating here though. Friendly staff.
Service was slow and we were billed wrong even though there were not so many people at the restaurant. My biggest issue was with the fact that our server had attitude and did not know how to pour a glass of beer. Sad.
Great for breakfast. Service is slow and it is a little pricey. The take out portion is good for speed though.
Great place to take young children in a great atmosphere. The food is decent, but not great. The steak I had was not as tender and the fries were good but not the classical Belgian fries. The Bricked Chicken was pretty great. The waffles are nice but not spectacular. The service was a bit non-responsive and slow, but according to my friends that is unusual. All in all I liked it, but only gave it three stars because I think it is rather expensive for the quality of the food.
I like this place very much indeed, but not quite as much as their infinitely more charming other location over on Sweet, truly authentic Belgian cuisine without a trace of stuffiness or pretension. Just hearty, beautifully prepared food. Highly recommend the cocktails, and the egg dishes like Eggs Coccotte or Eggs in Purgatory. Be sure and get the classic stoempe as a side dish.
One star is for the food and the 30 dollars bottomless mimosas. The second star is for the waitress, she was friendly, efficient and very nice. I used to go to the old location on east 17th street and absolutely loved it there. It was small, cozy, inviting and the staff was always nice and the food was always amazing. So this time around my sisters and I (total of 4 of us) decided to go to Petite Abeille expecting the best as always. Welp... we walk in, I get it, it’s Sunday brunch of course it’s busy and packed and we didn’t have reservations, but we still decided to wait the 25 minutes to be seated. After we sit down, we take our time with the menus and about 10 minutes pass when the waitress comes over. At this point we still hadn’t decided on what we were each getting, so we kindly asked her to give us another 2 minutes. Not more than 5 minutes passed and this guy, who I’m guessing was the manager walks over and in essence asks us to hurry up and order and said something along the lines of how there were lots of ppl and other tables blah blah blah... All I know is that my blood pressure went up and I started seeing red... my sisters and I contemplated leaving right then and there but decided against it since it was Sunday during brunch high time so it would be difficult to find anywhere else last minute this far in the game. The ambience is not the same as the old location. It lost it’s cute little “French” touch and due to that one interaction we will most likely never ever ever ever ever step foot at Petite Abeille again. It breaks my heart and makes me very sad that this is the case. But NOPE not going back there.
Good food, but horrible service. I waited (to be patient) 15 mins just to have the waiter take my order, I gave him 3 looks to let him know "I am ready" - REFUSED to come take my order, finally after waiting 15 mins I stopped him & told him "I think I'm ready now." Waiter took out his pad & pen just to SHUT me up, as if he was upset at me. Through the course of my meal I spent more than $50, order this & that & he still gave me attitude - I am ordering & paying more than everyone else (per person). I saw the waiters clear tables around me, but no one asked if I was ok. When the bill finally came to me I saw the minimum was $8.75, I paid my bill of more than $50, but tipped the waiter $9.00. Advice to waiters: show RESPECT to your customers, treat everyone EQUALLY & you will be tipped what you deserve. (I always knew this place was stuck up, but I always hold out hope people will show RESPECT, I will never go back to this place again.)
Yes, it is a great neighborhood place. I had a very negative experience. I arrived 15 minutes before the evening menu became active. I ordered from it. They would not honor my order because it was 10 minutes before the menu became active. I talked with the manager also. I worked in many restaurants in my younger days. My bosses were more interested in pleasing customers rather than following rigid rules. They lost a current and future diner.
Food was good. Service is mediocre. After you get seated you will be waiting for a while before someone will take your order. After that happens no one will come ever again to follow up with you. Lousy service. Noise level is unbelievable is as high as if you were on a protest of some kind. Don't go on Sunday is kids time. Sorry this is what I experienced.
I ordered a stake salad, a salad was good but 5 little pieces of stake were terrible! My leather belt would test better if I added to that salad. Beer and drinks were👍🏻 and if Amanda wasn't a bartender I wouldn't be there😉
Very Bad experience!!! they heard us speaking a foreign language and then over charged us! It was so obvious too. The check didn't match the credit card charge. When I pointed it out they immediately changed the credit card charge to the correct amount, no explanation. When I asked what the problem was, the waitress mumbled something about charging for an extra wine. Huh!? added to the credit card charge, but not the check? This was a really, really really bad experience. The service not just bad, but literally malicious! Stay away!
