Great bagels and the schmear is amazing. The everything bagel had a little too much of everything for my taste but that is objective. With the schmear toning it down a bit it was perfect.

I love the scallion cream cheese here it is amazing and the service is always excellent and the pop-up bagels are always fresh.

They make you take at least three bagels. I would be able to eat all three myself, they are not too big but my friend and I shared it. Three bagels is minimum and you get a dipping cream for 13$. We got salt, everything and sesame ones and regular cream cheese. It’s Instagramable with an aesthetic photos wall with a mirror. Not many seating options. You can’t sit actually just stand and they have two tables. I would recommend these bagels and you can have it for breakfast for two days!

S
Shauna Elliot

I almost didn’t buy any because the minimum is three bagels but I am SO glad I did! It’s crispy-ish (not crunchy) on the outside. So fluffy on the inside. I got plain bagels and plain cream cheese. I was so blown away. The drip coffee was great. The staff were so friendly. Highly recommend.

Best bagels I’ve ever had! Warm and filling👌

So so sweet service and amazing bagels. Must try stop in NYC, it sounds simple but definitely try salted bagel. The chives spread was my favorite

Sesame, Salt, or Anything Bagel. Plain or peach cream cheese. That’s all I had time to try. They make fresh bagels all day long and they are worth a stop anytime of day. They are just the right size and did I mention made fresh throughout the day? So good, that they are the only bagels I have had this trip and I love me some bagels. There are good, even great bagels throughout the city, but to walk in at 2pm and see them dumping fresh bagels and eating them while still hot is on another level.

Try their everything’s bagels with scallion cream cheese spread . Must say it’s the best ! Have to consume immediately, inside is so soft as they baked it freshly .

G
Gideon Tong

Review of a tourist: amazing bagels. The spread is okay but the bagels are AMAZING. Come here for sure. They don't have AC or seating inside though and we came in the heat of summer.

C
Casey Darnell

The everything bagel was pretty tasty! But you should know the bagels were slightly on the crunchier side when I went here, which isn’t exactly the traditional chewy texture of NYC bagels

t
teadrinker

Went around 11AM on a Monday morning to avoid the rushes. No wait. Perfect! Can’t get individual bagel. Must get 3 bagels and a schmear, at minimum. Family friendly but not individual friendly, lol. The bagel is chewy and slightly crispy on the outside while soft inside. Dip in the butter smear, heaven! Only 2 small tables at the place. I also see people just eat outside of the shop against the wall. Most just do to-go orders.

I popped in for a quick bite before a haircut and was very pleasantly surprised. I got 3 everything bagels, which were fresh from the oven, and a thing of plain cream cheese. They only do a minimum number of 3 bagels, and they don't toast or top the bagels. The bagels are exactly how I like them: crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. The everything bagel actually has a decent amount of salt, with the other toppings giving it balance. The cream cheese was light, which i prefer over the dense stuff. The service here is solid, extremely friendly people at the front. The guy I chatted with (I didn't catch his name) was very helpful, AND he told me they're are multiple locations near me in CT, so now I can pop over to one of those to grab bagels when the mood arises. The shop itself is small but very aesthetic. It's a total vibe. Pop Up has multiple locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, plus multiple locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I'll definitely pop back into this location when I'm back in the neighborhood, and definitely plan to go to the locations nearer to me.

My absolute favorite bagels in NYC! Chewy exterior, soft center, and hot! Went twice on a recent trip to NYC. Love the rotating specialty cream cheeses. Can't wait to go back! Be advised bagels come in sets of three (there are five flavors, plain, salt, poppy seed, sesame, everything) with a container of cream cheese. No sandwiches, no single bagels. These are rip and dip bagels. Minimal indoor tables, but who wants to sit around in New York City anyway?

M
Mark Taylor

Second trip, different location, same result. Hot and fresh and delicious bagels with delicious spreads. The wait wasn’t as bad at this location as at Soho. I went at eight and walked in and ordered. Maybe everybody was already at work. Google maps didn’t show this as being on the corner of the block so don’t give up on finding it.

J
Jill Walker

Delicious bagels and schmear but what set Pop Up Bagels apart from the rest was the service. Chef Tamara (sp?) exceeded our expectations in every way.

V
Vanessa C

Freshly baked, and still hot. Never knew bagels could be so fluffy (and also just right on the outside). Their scallion cream cheese is also fluffy and delicious. I visited between 7-8am and there was no line.

R

The bagels were hot, fresh & DELICIOUS! Eliftunka was SO kind and did an amazing job with the delivery. Seriously one of the best delivery people I have ever come across, and I order A LOT. Thank you Eliftunka & PopUp Bagels!

I’m big bagel fan, thought Zabar’s bagels were the best of the best, but after tasting these bagels I have my serious doubts. Fresh out of the oven (they are baking them as you pay), super tender and simply delicious. Not much sitting space, but that’s a minor issue compared to the amazing bagels. Wonderful ! 👏🏼🥯🥰

R

I heard of popup bagels. Never tried them until our hotel was charging $$$ for breakfast. Their take on bagels is quite interesting. No cutting, and atleast 3 bagel order minimum. They bagels are hot, fresh, cripsy outside, fluffy inside. Rip off a piece, smear on a tub of cream cheese. They have multi flavor cream cheese. Plain, everything, and sesame bagel. Unless I missed it, no cinnamon raisin. The moment you rip this bagel in half, you can already tell is fresh quality. Our girls loved it. We loved it. SO GOOD. 3 bagel, tub of cream cheese, 1 drip coffee = $17. It was great. Thinking about it right now!!

Soooooooooo dang good, we can’t get enough! This is our second trip to New York City this year and almost every single morning we start the day at Pop Up Bagels. The piping hot bagels are outstanding, and we love dipping them in the scallion cream cheese. This place is quick, no frills, but perhaps the best bagels we’ve ever had.

J
Jesse Adelaar

I ordered twice from this place through Caviar. Thought the first time might be a fluke. The bagels arrived perfectly warm… like just-out-of-the-oven warm. Ordered the second time, and they came exactly the same way. The cream cheese is also perfection. This is by far the best bagel I’ve had in this city.

C
Cristian Suarez

Extremely efficient, I love the fact that the bagels are just made. I didn’t realize I was a RIPNDIP person until now. It was my first time trying a salt bagel and it was amazing. I normally order and everything bagel, also delicious.

S
Shlomito Lopez Caron

Legitimately the best bagels I've ever had. Freshly made, fluffy inside and crispy outside. Just perfect. They don't let you buy individual bagels unfortunately, so $13 minimum

delicious bagels and schmears!! i always recommend checking their rotating specialty schmears on the website weekly. i end up coming to get bagels if I’m intrigued by the specialty ones bc they always have fun flavors!! they did put in the wrong bagel initially but gave me the extra one anyway when replacing which was kind of them. quick service n bagels are hot and fresh. best to have them right away bc the texture and everything is perfect when tearing

L

A great place to come, enjoy some amazing bagels that certainly set you up for a day of walking around New York City. The drip coffee is also great here and the service is exceptional. The staff are super friendly and you are served with a huge smile and politeness. There are several types of bagel available to buy with their signature “schmear” adding a great finish to the already delicious and hot food. You may be lucky to grab one of the four stools available if you want to sit and eat, but bagels can be eaten on the go I suppose. We were lucky enough to get to sit and eat and we loved every mouthful, very highly recommended indeed and if we are ever back in this area of the US, we will definitely be back here.

S
Sameet Sapra

Loved the cream cheese and butter here. I got the salt (unexpected favorite), sesame and everything bagels. You could only preorder a pack of 12 online - to get 3 or 5 you need to go in person. This might be one of my favorites in the city - I love the concept of dipping a bagel in the spread and schmear. I just wish it was a little easier to spread.

S
Sophia Lam

LUV popup bagels!!! It’s my new fav place to get bagels in the city. I love the concept of rotating flavors of cream cheese. We got a pack of three: everything, salt, and plain with gingerbread cream cheese! The bagels were so fresh and fluffy. I can’t wait to try their other flavors!! My only complaint is that there is literally nowhere to eat. The shop is veryyy small and there are like two standing tables lol.

r
rajiv

ordered 3 of the everything bagels with a tub of the scallion cream cheese schmear and 4oz of the smoked salmon, got 4 in the bag (thanks to the lovely lady serving us) and they were literally fresh out of the oven so perfectly warm when we ate them. the salmon was nice and rich, the 4oz was perfect for that amount of bagels. the tear and schmear was certainly different but everything was really tasty and we had a bunch of the cream cheese left over

A
Anika Naneyshvili

Tried PopUp Bagels for the first time and was seriously impressed! First of all the place was packed. The bagels are super fresh and fluffy — not your typical bagels, that are usually more dense in texture. These are something uniquely light and delicious. Definitely worth the hype! The schemers were fantastic too! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. For me it really matters for the entire experience. The only downside is the limited space inside. Looks like it’s more of a grab-and-go spot, and I noticed some people just parked and ate on the curb and they looked perfectly happy. I guess the quality of the beagles is making up for the lack of tables and chairs. Still, with bagels this good, it’s totally worth it. Perfect for a quick stop or weekend pickup.

This is my second time at Pop Up bagels, I've actually been to one of the newer locations in Cambridge, MA. This location being older was much more calm despite the chaos in the area. Bagels were still hot and fresh, and the cream cheese absolutely delicious. Maybe next time I'll be more adventurous and try some of the odd flavored spreads they have.

S
Sharon Olson

The bagels are served warm, which makes then some of the best bagels I've ever had. Unfortunately, they only sell a minimum of 3. I was traveling solo and didn't want so many bagels. It was $13 for three bagels and cream cheese. The shop is small and has trendy decor and merch. There are two small tables and a few stools. It was good and luckily there was no line, but I wouldn't return because I can't eat 3 bagels. There are other bagel shops I would like to try first.

My first stop in NYC. Beautiful, hot, bagels. Massive cream cheese spreads. Enough sesame seeds to feed the pigeon population of NYC. I loved it, will be back.

S

A really awesome bagel! I recommend getting one that is fresh out of the oven if you can. So warm and fluffy. This location is very small but there are seats. We really enjoyed the salt bagel and the scallion cream cheese. Such a treat!! We went on a weekday morning and it wasn’t very busy.

Walk past as we were going somewhere else and lucky for us. They just open today and they were so nice. They gave us each a bagel one was plain and one was everything. I must say they’re delicious really chewy a good place to stop and get yourself a bagel. They sell them in three packs not individually just remember that. They have smears and they have lots idea. You can take it out and walk and have it inside. Not many tables maybe too mainly a carryout.

Amazing bagels! Best bagel I’ve ever had. They pull apart so easily to dip in the cream cheese, yum!

D
Doah Kwon

It was better than I expected! Pretty good overall. The dough was super chewy, and I’d definitely come here often whenever I’m craving bagels. The cream cheese was amazing (we tried the limited edition French toast flavor), which was just the right amount of sweet and so good. We got sesame, salt, and everything bagels and tbh all the flavors were solid. Hard to pick a favorite! Wish they sold individual bagels tho. They only sell in packs so the minimum I need to get was three

The bagels were great — warm, well-seasoned, and tasty. They weren’t huge so we split the 3 we had to purchase between two of us. We were excited for the spinach and artichoke cream cheese but were disappointed that it wasn’t anything special — we really only tasted cream cheese and nothing else.

M
Mia Huynh

Coincidentally, my first time ever trying Popup bagels was from a pop-up! Here, I tried their everything bagel with their corn butter, pepperoncini, scallion, and plain cream cheese. The bagel itself was very soft and chewy, and out of all the cream cheeses, my favorite was their corn butter. Maybe because I had such high expectations of Pop-Up bagels (after hearing about it so much) that I was a bit underwhelmed. But, I do think that their concept of changing of the different flavors for cream cheeses is cool and I would love to try their other cream cheeses! (I think I prefer my bagels with more in them, but if you are just a simple bagel and cream cheese person then this might be the spot for you!).

k
kamjam 1385

For the salted bagel and scallion cream cheese. I don’t like how you have to buy three bagels minimum. The cream cheese was really good. Bagel was pretty good too. Like how they serve it to you warm

N

The bagels were tasty and the cream cheese was delicious! The only draw back is that you have to get a minimum of 3 bagels. If they sold them individually I think it would be more appealing. Overall great experience and friendly staff!

Pop up Bagels is worth a try! They do make different and new schmears every now and then, I believe. I ordered the cranberry and butter and it was so good! Bagels were fresh. I think price is ok for $13. Thats 3 bagels and a tub of schmear that could be taken home and consume because it's really that much. Service was quick. You order and wait til your name gets called. Its a small shop, no seating so you take it with you. I would love to go again and try other schmear but i'm going to take the bagel scene in new york city seriously so I have yet to try other bagel shops! But this one's on my top list and I recommend!

M

Only 2 table seating available inside the place. Staffs were helpful. The bagels made freshly inside the restaurant. U can see thr process from dipping in the water to putting it in the oven. U can definitely ensure that you will get the warm bagels right out from the oven. Their concept is grip, rip and dip. So a set came in 3 bagels and 1 creamcheese minimum. The place was packed in the morning but didnt take long to get the food

d

Interesting concept of rip and dip bagels in the city where you are touching hand rails/subway stuff. Service was incredible and quick. Bagels themselves are smaller than usual ny bagels and you have to get a minimum of 3. Scallion cream cheese was good.

S
Selina Oeien

After living on my Tiktok fyp, I had to try PopUp for myself — did not disappoint but also not life-changing? Their bagels are fluffy within with a thin, seasoned crust (perhaps too seasoned). It was really fun to “rip and dip” with the literal tub of cream cheese they provide! I recommend trying at least once in your life but perhaps I prefer my bagels as more of a sandwich.

J
Justin Godbout

Small line when we arrived. Quick service. Only 1 small table inside so you will likely need to eat your bagel somewhere else or outside on a bench. Bagels were great. Large quantity of cream cheese to dip (we had plenty left over).

W
Weltenbummler

You have a limit of at least 3 bagels and a spread. We chose the sesame bagel (2x) and the everything bagel. The bagels were super fluffy but I like them more firm and harder so I wasn’t a huge, the scallion creme cheese however was perfect and it was more than enough for three bagels. Inside you don’t have any seating opportunities but a few “tables” to stand at, it’s very packed though

Did not get to experience fresh warm bagels since I went in the afternoon. Love the cream cheese, scallion and Shirley Temple! Bagels are smaller than expected. Texture is good but the everything bagel was too overwhelming being fully covered with seeds.

3 bagel minimum is absurd. I’m travelling solo and cannot possibly eat 3 bagels. ** Updated from 2 to 3 stars because I came back with a group the next day and the bagels were great - hot, good crunch, nicely balanced, and the dipping gimmick actually means the bagel stays fresher and doesn’t go soggy.

Good morning, Please note, last week was my first time visiting PopUp Bagels. I asked the cashier if I could sample the different cream cheese options, as I believe it’s helpful for customers to know what they’re buying before spending money—especially when things are so expensive these days. I think it would be great if the staff could offer small samples of the cream cheese varieties so customers can make informed choices. Customer experience is very important for any business. My office recently moved to 30th and 7th Ave, and I really like your bagels, but I didn’t appreciate how I was treated when I asked to try the cream cheese. Thank you for taking the time to read my comment.
