Seamore's (Zizi) Mediterranean in Chelsea is loved for its authentic Israeli food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. The Crazy Baba, eggplant carpaccio, and overnight lamb are highly recommended. Some find the portions small for the price.

Opinions de Seamore's New York
The chef at Zizi has a unique ability to take eggplants to places they’ve never dreamed of going before
Second time here and everything was amazing. We came here for brunch and had: halloumi, hummus (so good), babagsnush (could have done without) grilled cheese (a little too salty), shakshuka, the TLV breakfast and tiramisu. Everyone loved their dishes. Will return when in the neighborhood.
Went on a Friday night, really great vibes with good music and ambiance. Full but not overly packed. Food was amazing - we got the tasting menu and everything was great. The portions are generous and the cheesecake was incredible. Friendly service too!
I’ve been three times in the past two weeks already. The food is fabulous and the staff is incredibly friendly. They truly made my day yesterday when they kept my AirPods case safe after I accidentally left it during a busy visit—and they even remembered me! I’ll definitely keep coming back until I’ve tried everything on the menu. Highly recommend.
If you’re looking for authentic Israeli food and a really good vibe, you should definitely check this place out. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the customer service is excellent. Great food, great energy, and overall a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing Middle Eastern dinner at Zizi in Chelsea. They have a martini happy hour from 3:30 - 6:30 so we started off with a lemon drop martini and a luxardo cherry martini. For appetizers we had the fennel confit with labneh, tempura artichokes, and grilled cabbage with a salad of snow peas, asparagus & arugula with a tahini dressing. For our main course, the grilled branzino. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent! A special shout out to Orin and Maria. The one downside is that by 7pm, the restaurant gets very crowded and loud. I will definitely go back, but a lot earlier!
The food and drinks were excellent. We had the halloumi pesto, eggplant carpaccio, overnight lamb, glazed chicken skewer, and the Jerusalem bagel (Turkish simit). Everything was good, but my favorites were the halloumi pesto, eggplant carpaccio, and the Jerusalem bagel. My Turkish friends were especially excited and happy to see simit on the menu. I also tried the Amor cocktail, which was amazing. We were surprised to see eggplant listed as a dessert item, but it’s definitely worth trying! My only complaint is the noise level, it was quite loud and made it hard to hear each other. Other than that, everything was great.
We love Zizi! Food, drink, service 10 out of 10!! The owner is super nice and gave our puppy some delicious chicken from the kitchen. We ordered the eggplant carpaccio, overnight lamb, and Moroccan sea bass. So yummy 😋 especially the lamb. For cocktail, I had the gin martini- forgot the name but very delicate and balanced as well. Would recommend this place for sure if you want authentic Israeli/ Mediterranean food.
What a beautiful surprise!! Absolutely loved it♥️♥️ Food was really good (though rations are a bit small for the prices). Atmosphere was great and service was awesome. Daniela was our server and was really attentive and suggested just the right things🫶🏻 Would definitely recommend and return!!
A cozy spot serving well-crafted Mediterranean cuisine, and the dishes we tried were consistently good - the Crazy Baba offers a nice balance of zesty and rich flavors; the Harissa Butternut Squash is satisfying and nicely complemented by labneh and pine nuts; the Branzino is grilled to a good tenderness, and the Shawarma features flavorful chicken and lamb served over smooth hummus. The staff is also exceptionally friendly and attentive. Overall, a very solid choice for Mediterranean food, and we look forward to returning.
Dare I say the best Israeli breakfast in town? There I said it. Not to mention Emmet is a phenomenal waiter with an even more phenomenal sense of style. The burekas and eggplant with chickpea dish were both unique and left a lasting impression. My only hesitation in posting this review is that I won’t be able to get a table easily in the future!
Went with a group of friends last night, this was my third time eating at zizi’s they are one of my favorite restaurants in the city. They constantly change their menu, but have loved the food each time. Yesterday I got their cucumber martini (happy hour ends at 6:30) it was delicious and refreshing, for the table we ordered the fennel/labneh which was very underwhelming in my opinion, but for my main I ordered the branzino carpaccio and it was truly incredible, such a delicious mix of flavors, surprisingly filling, with a side it’s perfect! The dessert also fell flat for us this time, was supposed to be lemon-y but was mostly just a crème with salted crisps
Delicious food. Eastern / Israeli / Mediterranean. Shakshuka had a great element of spice and was fresh with Challah toast. Brioche grilled cheese was scrumptious. Rotisserie chicken sandwich with mouthwatering fries. Pleasant ambiance. Friendly server.
I wasn't mindblown by the food. I had the overnight lamb and the halloumi pesto. Service was very good, especially since it was packed. My drink was on the house to apologize for the wait. The overnight lamb is a lot and you could absolutely split it with someone ! I really did not think the arak was worth the price, personally. Maybe it's just not for me
We visited this restaurant as a group of five after hearing some great things about it. We ended up ordering a variety of dishes to share and were excited to try everything. Overall, it was a nice experience ,a few of the dishes really stood out, especially because they had a comforting, home-style flavor. I personally appreciated that the seasoning wasn’t too salty, which made everything feel a bit more wholesome. That said, there were two or three dishes that tasted a bit more average and didn’t leave much of an impression. (ceviche and falafel) They weren’t bad, just a little underwhelming compared to the rest. The atmosphere of the restaurant was decent, nothing too fancy, but warm and casual, which worked well for a relaxed night out with friends.
Firstly, the waitress from Venezuela was superb: she aimed to please, she was friendly and witty. The young man who greeted us was from Colombia. Both were amiable. Architecturally, they try to give you a Mediterranean vibe. On food, if it had matched the quality of service this place would be five stars. My guest enjoyed his meal. I was told I must come here for brunch which I have not done and since I live in Chelsea I will give it a try. For the price the food was good.
Food was great and service was quick. We sat at the bar. However they gave us the wrong wine which was $7 more per glass than the one we ordered. They didn’t seem to care. Then they offered dessert on the house only to charge us for after us checking the bill once we got home. Probably won’t go back even though the food was good due to these two instances.
Tried ZiZi recently — overall it was okay, but a few things kept it from being great. • Roasted cauliflower tasted like it was reheated and it was a bit burned in spots. • Green beans came out room temperature — in winter I was expecting them to be warmer. • We also tried the eggplant carpaccio and honestly they were fine, just not memorable. Service and vibe were nice, but the food consistency felt off.
Zizi is a nice spot for a Mediterranean meal in the Chelsea area. The place has a rustic vibe, I am sure it would look good in the night with all the candles lighted up in the walls. Liked their dip (Crazy Baba) and pita and the fact that everything tasted fresh. The portion size is good as well. Although felt that there could have been more options, especially in the dips. Every item looked good in the menu so we ordered a lot variety. I must say I had more expectations, therefore, I felt that the food lacked flavors. It was more aesthetically pleasing, flavor wise just decent. The shakshuka didn't feel like a shakshuka, it was a soup rather. The bread in the Mushroom sandwich was hard as a rock making it difficult to eat. The puff pastry was good and crispy but the dish as a whole was just okay. For a Mediterranean place, their hummus was too plain and basic. I have had better hummus in other Mediterranean restaurants in NYC. The only thing I can vouch for is their pita bread- really good and freshly made. Otherwise the food felt just plain and simple not extraordinary. They didn't deliver according to the expectations. Also didn't find the staff to be friendly and engaging. They were just doing their duty. I feel the restaurant has the potential to do much better.
