I was starving and this was the closest quick food joint near me. I was expecting sub-par pizza, but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a margherita pizza. The sauce is great and I just love the crust..it's super crunchy without being burnt...they use cornmeal. The staff is really friendly too.

Found this on Google maps, while staying at a hotel close by. Forgot how hot the cheese gets on a pizza that's warmed in a stone oven but while burning the top of my mouth I thoroughly enjoyed the first bite of this pizza, and the rest of the bites of course.

I was walking around Chelsea and decided to grab a slice of pizza here and was amazed at how good it was. SUPER crispy bottom (without being burnt) while still being chewy with good stretchy cheese and a ton of pepperoni. I'm a simple guy and this slice absolutely hit the spot.

This is easily one of my favorite pizza places in NYC. I've love trying new pizza places throughout the city, but this place keeps me coming back and consistently falls near the top of my pizza list. The crust here is always the perfect consistency. There is not too much flop and just the right amount of crunch. The flavor is nearly always spot on. If you're going for the first time, consider picking up a slice of margarita pizza.

Best slice on 19th and 9th. While I can't say I've tried every pizza place in NYC, Gotham delivers the quintessential slice. When people think New York Pizza, this is that kinda pie. Decided to get another slice and take a picture of it, but the pizza is so good I ate the whole slice before remembering I wanted to take a picture of it.

Went to Gotham Pizza on Sunday. Just a couple Canadian kids in the concrete jungle for the first time. Hungover and spent from the hustle and bussle of “Zoo York,” we needed some fuel. On a wim we stopped in at Gotham Pizza. As soon as we walked in it felt like coming to a place I never knew was mine. The endearing and charming atmosphere pulled us in. The folks behind the counter were buzzing around working extra hard for us customers. It was at this moment that I started to realize what the appeal was of this grand city. Hard working, blue collar people putting in work to support their families, by doing what they love. Now, if I wasn’t in love by vibes alone, when I had my first bite was when I truly fell head over heels. It felt like I had been blasted back to the ninth grade and was experiencing my first kiss. Crisp, and flavourful. The cheese was fresh and gooey, the crust was paper thin, yet had a decadent texture. Canadian pizza is nothing in compare to what I experienced here in Gotham. I was blind and now I see. The charm of New York and Gotham Pizza will never be forgotten. Can’t recommend enough. 10/10

Our first trip to New York to take my mother to where she served in world war II in the Coast guard. We were close to Gotham City Pizza so we went there for dinner. The owner saw us coming and came outside to help us with my mother who's in a wheelchair at 100 years old go up the ramp to the door. The service and hospitality was top notch. The pizza was just out of this world delicious. And we were sitting in the corner of the restaurant with Windows on two sides so we could watch all the people go by as the sun set. It was a great experience and my mother loved the pizza. Even if this place is out of your way I recommend you go their business was booming for takeout they have six to eight tables inside and the view of the street is just stunning.

I worked around Chelsea Piers for some time, and this used to be my go-to spot. I recently returned to NYC and had to pay them a visit. The 2 slice + drink lunch combo is still 6$, and the pizza is still just as good. Unbeatable deal in this area. Their pizza dough has an extra crispy thing going for it. I think they roll it onto breadcrumbs before baking. Whatever they got going on, it's magic. Service is fast and friendly. The store is on the larger side so it never feels too crowded in there, and there is plenty of seating available.

We stumbled upon this pizzeria on our way back to hotel past dinner time. Since we were super hungry, we decided to have some pizza. Surprisingly, the pizza were good! We love the crispy crust with corn meal dust. The filling was good and tasted fresh. We even came back the next day for more slices. - Margherita: the mozzarella tasted fresh and the sauce was good - BBQ chicken: loads of chicken pieces but the bbq sauce was a bit too much - Pepperoni: simple but delicious! Lots of peperoni

2 Slices and a soda for $5. Great value for a good pizza. Friendly staff. During the busy lunch hour the tables get full quickly. Next time would like to try out their other pizzas with toppings.

Gotham Pizza was not our first choice but it was the closest spot to us and we were super hungry. It is a typical New York style slice but they use cornmeal on the crust which makes it crunchier. Personally, I like being able to fold my slice and here the crust cracks instead because of the crunch. That said, the toppings were fresh and very tasty. Overall, it did its job. Nice and quiet ambiance and friendly personnel. The crust was coated in cornmeal to give it that particular grainy texture--not really my thing, but if you're into it, then it will add to this slice for you. Otherwise, the crust was on the thinner side, with a bit of a fluff. I had a white slice. Though there was good cheese coverage, the cheese itself wasn't flavorful and felt rubbery; it felt as though it was too in-tact and offered more resistance to bites. But otherwise, the overall flavor was solid; the ricotta cheese held the slice a little better than its counterpart. Solid place though.

The workers were very nice and welcoming. Nice place to sit down and eat with your son or daughter. My son loved the pizza 🍕 but i didnt like it too much. it was different.

My kid wanted this pizza bc he had a theory that the popular Gotham Chess guy on YouTube owns this place. I told him that's probably not the case, but we went. The guys working there were awesome. The pizza was pretty good. Ordered with Slice and the estimate was 15, but I walked in like 7-8 min later and it was just coming out.. The crust had a crispness to it that was odd almost frozen crust like, but flavor-wise seemed bland like it needed salt. The sauce and crust combo tasted like they cut corners there. The cheese and toppings were fine. We get that corners have to be cut with overhead being high...but if a better tasting budget sauce was used and maybe less oil and a touch more salt was added to the crust, the pizza would be a solid 4 and it would measure up to the badass name of this pizza joint.

Don't expect anything other than pizza. No tolls,calzones, or beef patties.

While the delivery was fast (located about 0.7 mi away) the pizza did not taste good at all. We ordered the pepperoni and a chicken 16 in (8 slices each). The pepperoni sausage was tasty but the chicken (if it was chicken) was very bland. The crust was cornmeal based which was fine, but it had an odd taste, almost like a cleaning agent had not been rinsed well from the pans. I gave 2 stars because the delivery was on time.

The White pizza had zero flavor, and was very greasy. This was my second time there. The first time I came by was ok.(I had a regular slice at that time)The crust texture is good though it was lacking flavor as well.

Who would have thought a pizza delivery would be so difficult? I waited at the hotel lobby door (as per my delivery instructions) for thirty minutes and no one showed. Called the restaurant to get an update and the delivery guy 'apparently' arrived (even though I was literally sitting at the door an no one showed) and he tried to call my cell but couldn't get through. The restaurant rudely said that they will redeliver the pizza. When it finally arrived, the pizza was ice cold and the delivery guy was insanely rude blaming me for the mess. Extremely unfortunate as their pizzas are actually quite delicious. Oh well, I won't be going back again anytime soon.

Just average tasting pizza. You know what's not average? A place that has been paying their workers below minimum wage, not paying them overtime and stealing their tips. It's all over the news. I'll happily never come back.

Ordered a Margherita pizza expecting fresh ingredients, but it was a letdown. The pizza was overly oily, and they used processed cheese instead of real mozzarella. Basil was barely visible — just tiny shreds. After eating, I felt unwell, which makes me question the hygiene and ingredient quality. Very disappointed with both the food and overall experience. Would not recommend.

I ordered a delivery and was going to tip cash like I always do, and after handing me the pizza the driver started harassing me for not tipping and yelling like crazy. I said I was going to tip cash which I had ready to give him, but this is the first time someone has ever harassed me for a tip, I obviously felt uncomfortable and started to walk away but the driver kept following me to outside my apartment yelling at me to tip. I called the store to complain but the guy was also condescending and said I should’ve tipped before, I couldn’t even eat the pizza at that point because how would I know the driver didn’t mess with it? So unprofessional and DANGEROUS. AVOID!

I saw a literal cockroach crawling around their cooking area and other bugs, super unsanitary and disgusting. Don't waste your money here, it's so unclean and nasty they clearly don't care they have bugs crawling around where they make their food

So My Wife & I Ordered From Uber Eats App, The Order Arrived Late Around 1:12PM We We're Told The Latest Arrival Would Be 12:30PM. We Ordered A 12" Regular Pie And Not Only Did It Arrive Late But The Pie Was Already Cold Upon Arrival, The Crust Was Hard & The Cheese Was Burnt!! ITS LIKE THEY PUT EXTRA CHEESE ON OLD PIZZA...
