Opinions de Hao Noodle New York
I'm usually pretty neutral about beef noodle soup but this one was exceptional! 10/10. It was perfect. Noodles were a perfect texture, the broth had such a deep, rich flavor, and the beef was perfectly tender. They also had a nice fragrant jasmine tea too!
The staff was friendly and attentive AND the food was delicious. I had the spicy sour seafood stew and soybean dessert. I will definitely be back to try more.
The service is pleasant, and Sebastian made it extra special. The ambiance is very chic and it’s good for dates, or they have a big semi closed area for bigger groups. The place is very considerate as they serve you warm lemon flower tea while you are waiting for tables, make your sugar paintings etc. food is well priced compared to it’s nice flavors. Some improvements for the dishes Main dish Pepper Beef cube could use less raw onions, and beef is very soft but can reduce the tendens. The duck clay pot is exceptional, hope they remove the tiny bones before served, though the rice a bit burned, we finished the last bit of rice.
Flavorful, fun chinese food! They have options to please everyone, including vegetarians- ask for the mapo tofu vegetarian which is delicious. I also highly recommend the pumpkin with wasabi mayo appetizer. The red braised pork belly is very flavorful and tender. The interior decor is nice, the bathrooms smell nice and are very clean, and the staff were kind and helpful.
Had a lovely dinner at Hao Noodle. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and very welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the drinks were well crafted and paired. Special thanks to Javier, who provided outstanding service. He was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful evening with great food, drinks, and service. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely outstanding experience at Hao Noodle. The food was exceptional—rich, deeply flavored broths, perfectly cooked noodles, and beautifully balanced dishes that feel both comforting and elevated. Every bite showed real care and craftsmanship. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the service. Javer was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. They took time to explain the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and checked in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive. It felt personal and welcoming—exactly the kind of service that makes you want to come back. Hao Noodle strikes the rare balance of authentic, high-quality food and top-tier hospitality. Highly recommend, and I’ll absolutely be returning.
I had lunch at Hao Noodle in New York today, and the experience was great. I ordered the Thursday Dim Sum Set, and it was definitely worth it. The sweet potato starch appetizer was incredibly refreshing, and the stir-fried pork belly with onions was delicious. The dim sum selection was also quite diverse. Overall, a very satisfying meal!
The food at Hao Chinese Cuisine is really delicious! I ordered the Dim Sum Combo and it was great — everything looked small and delicate, but I actually felt very full after finishing it. The sticky rice duck was also a big surprise: the duck with the glutinous rice was very flavorful, and pairing it with the yellow peach created a subtle, refreshing taste that worked unexpectedly well. Overall, a really satisfying experience.
Had such a good time at Hao Noodle. The food was amazing (everything was so fresh and flavorful), but honestly our waiter Raul made the whole experience. He really went above and beyond, made us feel taken care of, and just had the best energy. He gave solid recommendations and made us feel really taken care of without being over the top. You can tell he actually cares about people enjoying their meal. Definitely coming back!
Came here after walking around Chelsea on a gorgeous Saturday and I was not disappointed by the food. I started out with the sweet and sour short ribs and the scallion seafood pancakes and both were flavorful in their own right. For my main, I went with the fried spicy shrimp and my friend went with the crispy rice duck. I personally didn't find the shrimp overly spicy. I initially thought I was going to be in trouble as it was covered in massive chili crisps, but they were more salty than anything. My friend is from China and said all the food had a very authentic taste. I'd like to return and sample more of the menu.
This Michelin Guide Chinese Restaurant located in Chelsea is also Haidilao’s hidden sub-brand in NYC! We tried their signature Misty Lemonade and Lychee Cocktail drinks, and not only they are refreshing but also super aesthetic! We tried their Hotpot Beef Noodle Soup, Spicy Mixed Beef and Tendon, Crispy Aromatic Duck, Crab Roe Soup Dumpling, and Shanghai Lion’s Head Meatball! Everything was so delicious! The interior is also so pretty and cozy!

Great food, but without any surprise and delight. The DanDan Noodles had a 麻辣 (numbing spicy) factor going for it, which is a huge plus if you’re a fan of that type of spice (I am!). Portion size on that one disappointed, especially since the added minced pork was an extra $4 and pretty minimal—meaning without it, the dish would’ve been small with no protein. There was nothing particularly special to the shrimp fried rice, but exactly what I expected and tasty. The soup dumplings were flavorful and fresh. Now for the service… which they wish I wouldn’t get to. Extremely below par for the establishment they are trying to be. 1) The coordination between servers, bussers, hosts, and the kitchen staff was noticeably lacking. Stepping on each others’ toes/in each others’ way. No one was clearly dedicated to our table. 2) We sat for about 10 minutes before getting menus and water, and 25 minutes before being able to place our order. The restaurant was not particularly busy and there were plenty of open tables and staff around. The pluses: 1) once we finally ordered, our food was out in a matter of 5 minutes. 2) they gave our kids free toys to play with and take with us. Overall, if they step up their service coordination and maybe increase the portion sizes, we’ll come again.
I like the atmosphere and the service a lot. Unfortunately I would say the dishes are mediocre. We got a weekend menu deal, and the only thing that’s good is the bean curd appetizer. The fish fillet is pre-fried and put in the pot, batter tasted soggy with little seasoning, and the noodle is also mainly seasoned by the chili oil. Dimsum is premade and some of the cauliflower is not fresh.

I had the Cantonese chicken and it was sautéed to perfection. I really enjoyed my meal. The customer service was top tier and the interior is beautiful and clean. I will be back!
The soup dumplings; shrimp fried rice; and fried sole fish in clay pot were outstanding. Washing it all down with an ice cold beer was just what the doctor ordered.

You can tell a lot of effort and thought went into Hao Noodles’ decor and atmosphere. The space feels warm and inviting, and even the bathroom is impressively stocked with mouthwash dispenser, feminine products, baby wipes, floss, hair ties, hairspray, and Q-tips. The attention to detail really shows. The menu is in English, but there’s also a digital Chinese version available. At the front, they offer free lemon water and even have a fun AI sugar-drawing machine where you can create your own sugar art by scanning a QR code. All these touches make the restaurant feel very welcoming. The staff was friendly, but the food took a while to come out even though the restaurant was more than half empty when we visited. My friends and I ordered three dishes: Dan Dan noodles, cauliflower with sausage, and sweet and sour pork ribs. - The Dan Dan noodles were a bit bland; mostly just chili oil flavor. - The sweet and sour pork ribs were overly sweet, and we couldn’t get past three pieces. - The cauliflower with sausage, though, was tasty and had that nice wok heat and depth of flavor. For three dishes, the total came to around $70, which felt a bit high given the portion sizes and flavor balances. Overall, great ambiance and thoughtful details, but the food didn’t quite live up to the atmosphere.
Three of us went for dinner one night after spending the afternoon at the Whitney. The restaurant was just a short walk. We ordered ribs, dumplings, cabbage, fish in clay pot and Cantonese chicken all to share. Food was just ok not delicious. We sat in the beautiful back room but it was very noisy and hard for us to converse. Suggest you sit in a booth near the front of the restaurant.
Food/drinks: Just okay! It's cool that there are fusion dishes but I wouldn't pay that price! I would rather go to other Chinese restaurants in Chinatown \n\nAtmosphere: VERY stunning \n\nService: …
Hao Noodle is okay. Seemed more like a Chinese restaurant trying to be a little fancy, hence the higher prices. The food is decent. There are some good dishes, some not so good dishes, and some fus…
We ordered chicken and chive dumplings and the chicken was still RAW. Very frustrating.
We ordered chicken and chive dumplings and the chicken was still RAW. Very frustrating.
Too expensive for small portions and not really all that good tasting. All the budget went to the toilet seat warmers
Free fall i quality since 2919. Used to have 3/5 chefs now have 1, soup had no soul. Like independent ingredients. Terrible
The food here is terribly overpriced but would be worth it if it was good. It's not good. I ordered fried tofu with spices. It came with literal leaves on it. I'm crunching in dry McCormick seasoning. I'm eating large, dried pieces of spices and choking on them. It cost $21 for something that is smaller than my hind in size (see photo). It took forever to receive service in general but the food took long as well. And it's not just me, the table next to me got up and left because the service was so unbearably slow. I would never, ever come back to this place. Horrible experience. No idea how the reviews could be as good as they are.
Saw this place on TikTok, unfortunately this place was extremely underwhelming flavor-wise and service-wise. The food looks better than it tastes. I’m pretty sure the video on TT was made because they recently renovated their building and need business. They were packed but the service was slow, food was served lukewarm and honestly tasteless. We got the pork belly cucumber, peppercorn chicken (only decent dish with some flavor), and the Dan Dan noodles (complete fail). We won’t be back
