Opinions de RH Rooftop Restaurant New York
Such a beautiful location on the rooftop of the elegant furniture store that distracts with its lavish pieces and clean aesthetic. The chandeliers give it the finish touches along with the greenery. The food is spectacular. I haven’t had a dish I didn’t like here. We did have a small incident (the server accidentally spilled a Bellini all over my white blouse) but, it was not his fault at all and he redeemed himself anyway by comping three desserts for us to enjoy. I always recommend this place. Make reservations ahead of time especially for weekend brunch. The lox is super fresh, the toast with the eggs and avocado—cannot go wrong. And the candied pork belly….to die for!
I've heard people rave about this brunch, but never really got the appeal. Until I went, omg every bite of food is excellent. The menu options are straightforward but all ingredients are of the highest quality and each dish is made with perfect care. Plus the ambiance cannot be beat.
What more can I say. This was me and my girlfriend third time here. And each time it seems to get better. Last time we had reservations for 6:15pm. We arrived at 5:45pm. We checked in and sat down to wait for the next available table. It was about 5:55pm and we were approached by the manager. I apologize I couldn't remember he's name, but he offered us complimentary champagne to excuse the wait. Which I was shocked seeing how our reservations time wasn't even up yet. Little gestures like that go a long way. The entire staff was wonderful. I highly recommend this place. Truffle fries are a must. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu to be honest.
The elevator that leads up to the rooftop sets the tone of the elegance and tranquil scenery you will experience before entering the restaurant. The layout and decor of the restaurant enlightened the way for the food. The customer service was great. Our server was Robin and he was great. Tending to all of our needs and he was very friendly and helpful with making our food selections. He was very apologetic because there was no more lobster rolls for the night but he made it up to us with the next best options. The ribeye was good and the fries too. The food was pricey but for that experience I can understand why. I will return for sure. I want to try the lobster roll
Had brunch Sunday around opening, the rooftop views are beautiful with comfortable lounge style seating outdoors. The menu is simple but delicious and varied. For brunch they only had wine and beer as alcohol but a diverse food menu. Our waiter was attentive and respect. Prices are also average. I would recommend this place for friends or dates
Meris and I had an outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, Jim Schmiedl the Assoc. Hospitality Leader made us feel genuinely welcome. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and their professionalism, warm and efficiency went above and beyond. His service was exceptional attentive and consistent. We’ll definitely be back—and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch care and hospitality. Thanks Jim 😊. Maria and Carmen
TIPPING- it’s kinda weird. THE GOOD, there was no gratuity on the bill so you’re free to leave whatever. WHAT I DON’T LIKE, tipping someone who did absolutely NOTHING BUT TAKE MY ORDER. Different people brought out my meal and I would have much rather tipped them or the chef to be honest. The waitress only took my order, she didn’t do any tricks or make any jokes. Lol. I tipped $25 and I think that’s a bit much. She did the bare minimum, WHICH IS HER JOB. LOVE FROM START TO FINISH. This restaurant IS NOT for the burger and fries crowd. I say that because I was really apprehensive to dine here based on the reviews saying that the food was bad for the price they paid. FOOD - THE FOOD IS NOT BAD, EVERY DISH SERVED HERE TASTE EXACTLY HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO TASTE. Again, this place is for a certain crowd, people who have good taste and enjoy fine dining. I’ll go out on a limb and assume the people who say the food is bad, just came for the LOVELY LOOK OF THE PLACE. For STARTERS , we had the RH Burger, Mini Lobster Rolls w Caviar & Grilled Shrimp. Our MAINS, we had the Broiled Salmon & 14OZ Ribeye steak, EVERY SINGLE DISH WAS DONE TO OUR LIKING AND TASTED LOVELY. Unfortunately I didn’t have any dessert because they all had dairy so I can’t speak on the taste of them. DRINKS: we kept it light on the drinks. I don’t drink alcohol so I hade a virgin Bellini and Arnold Palmer, my friend had the regular Bellini and Cappelletti Spritz and all was good. STAFF- there were slow and forgot a few things but they were pleasant so no complains on that front. BATHROOM- The bathroom is shared but amazingly clean as well. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND AND WILL BE BACK TO DINE ON THE PATIO.
Casually walked in just to grab dinner before hitting the road. No reservation, but Ryan’s customer service was amazing! He got us seated almost immediately and we were able to enjoy our meal and head on our way. We truly appreciated that gesture and I would recommend them to anyone!!! Beautiful restaurant and nice staff. I ordered the arugula salad and it was the perfect very flavorful I loved the dressing. 10/10
Had the best time here! Our beautiful waitress was funny and kind. The food was delicious and decor was gorgeous! My friend loved it for her birthday dinner. 10/10
What a gorgeous restaurant. We made sure to get there early so we had time to explore the beautiful furniture and decor throughout the floors leading up to the rooftop. The restaurant itself is stunning, staff was so kind, they gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate our anniversary, and the food was delicious! Surprisingly not as expensive as I would have originally thought! Our favorites were the crispy artichokes, truffle fries, and chocolate chip cookies.
RH Rooftop Restaurant in New York offers a perfect blend of sophistication and intimacy. From the moment you step in, the elegant yet cozy ambiance wraps you in a sense of refined comfort. It's the ideal spot for a memorable dining experience, whether you're celebrating or simply indulging in good food. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which only added to the overall charm of the evening. The true star of the meal? The truffle fries. One bite and you're treated to an unparalleled explosion of flavor: the satisfying crunch of the fries paired with the earthy richness of truffles that simply melts in your mouth. It was a sensory delight that left me wanting more. And the Fried Chicken Sando? Absolutely out of this world. The crispy, juicy chicken paired with its flavorful accompaniments created a harmony that elevated this classic comfort dish to a gourmet level. Overall, every aspect of the visit was pleasant, from the food to the ambiance and service. RH Rooftop Restaurant is a must-visit if you're looking for a sophisticated yet cozy dining spot with unforgettable flavors.
I can't say enough about our pre-Valentine's lunch experience at this restaurant; it was truly delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our meal was exquisite – we indulged in a refreshing salad, succulent salmon, perfectly cooked steak, and irresistible truffle fries. A special shoutout to Mark, who went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional dining experience. What's more, we had the opportunity to explore the restaurant's beautifully curated furnishings across all floors, adding to the overall charm of our visit. Whether it's a romantic date or a special occasion, I highly recommend this restaurant for its impeccable service, delectable cuisine, and inviting ambiance. We'll definitely be returning soon!
Nice restaurant with a different feel. You would pass by the place and don’t even know there is a restaurant upstairs. The first three levels is a furniture store . Decorated with beautiful furniture and sculptures. The restaurant itself was on the top floor. You have to make a reservation to go to the restaurant. There was a wait to get seated so we walked around and took out pictures in the mean time. The menu is very simple and a bit pricey. They only serve wine, coffee and juices because they do not have a liquor license. The food tastes really good but the portions are small. Overall it’s a nice place to visit.
The question is not IF you should go but WHEN. Everything is perfect. Plus, you can never go wrong with a rooftop right? The ambiance, decor, and location are all amazing. Eddie provided top tier service. I recommend the salmon, asparagus, potato purée, half chicken, charred broccolini, and chocolate chip cookie. Following the dinner, you can walk off some of the calories visiting the showrooms downstairs.
This is an upscale restaurant inside the RH hotel. If you are searching for a great and beautiful restaurant, this is one of a few in this area. Service and food is great, but what impressed me the most was the price. This is a 30-50 not a 50-100 per person. You can check the menu. You don’t have food and 3 drinks in a restaurant and people not necessarily order the most expensive dish in groups. If you like good food at great price this is it. The crowd seems to be young professionals to business owners, but I was with my family and our toddler and were welcomed in a typical NY style. Come and try it, we spent around $178 and it was us 3. Def will came back for a special dinner and prob seat outside. Please reserve a table. It’s a must.
Restaurant Located in the top floor of the store. If you get hungry while shopping you can drop here n get nourishment. Amazing chandeliers. Service is friendly n courteous. We had the prosciutto & cheese platter n artichoke chips so good. I felt underdressed bc everyone around was so dressed up. There was birthday celebrations n wedding receptions. It’s was a very atmosphere.
It's such a beautiful place, the food, the music and the atmosphere all go so well together. It was a happy breakfast. Avocado toast is a taste I want to eat again. After the meal, the showroom with stylish furniture is the strength of this place. We found our favorite home interior here.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I recommend going for an early dinner, especially a sunset dinner, as it gets very busy later in the evening. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the atmosphere and service were both outstanding. Whether you're visiting or a local, I highly recommend this restaurant. Afterwards, take some time to explore the nearby RH Furniture store; each floor has a unique vibe and style.
Fantastic experience. Great vibe. Wonderful views. Delicious and fresh food. Superb outdoor area. We worked with Tori and Sal on our corporate event, which went absolutely flawlessly. Just a fantastic time, great service, and a fabulous night. GREAT JOB Sal, excellent management! Very attentive and well trained staff too.
A definite stop when in the city. The restaurant and store are absolutely stunning. The food and service match the atmosphere. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the burger was delicious. They also have non alcoholic beverages to help support a dry January! They do not serve cocktails but do have wine and beer.
My girlfriend and I came here for dinner and Raquel was our server. She was really sweet, gave great recommendations and was very attentive the whole night. 10/10 service, food and ambiance. Recommend for a date night, or any type of night you’re trying to have.
Came here for my birthday .. wow!! I absolutely loved it! The food was absolutely delicious - and it came out fast. The service was great, we were taken care of very well. Love the atmosphere - it’s dark NYC socialite vibes with a luxurious furniture touch. I will DEF be back with all my friends for cocktails and more caviar. Thanks RH!
wow! loved it so much!! our server was so attentive and gave us great recommendations. The food was delicious and came out at a good pace. a lot of restaurants like this typically rush people out, but not rh rooftop restaurant! they are so kind and gave us a great experience. i will be back!
To say I was blown away by this restaurant is an understatement. Most establishments that have breathtaking views and decor don’t always measure up in the food and drink department, but RH is an exception. My friend and I ordered several small plates—the highlights were the grilled shrimp, a mixed green salad, sautéed mushrooms, and crispy artichokes (I had no idea artichokes could taste this good). To drink, I had a rose spritz that still stands as one of the best cocktails I’ve consumed to date. On top of our incredible dining experience, the ambiance simply cannot be beat. It’s sophisticated, fun, and relaxing all at once. RH is now on my must-visit list for any time I’m in New York.
Walking into RH New York feels like stepping into a dream where design, art, and lifestyle merge seamlessly. Every corner is a visual masterpiece — from the grand staircase to the stunning rooftop garden, the space radiates elegance and sophistication. The showroom isn’t just about furniture; it’s about experiencing a lifestyle of refined taste and impeccable detail. The rooftop restaurant is equally breathtaking, offering a menu that’s as curated as the décor. Dining under the glass atrium with views of the city is an unforgettable experience. The food is exceptional, service is attentive, and the atmosphere is both chic and inviting.
The dining environment and scenery are excellent. In addition to the upscale ambiance, the food is delicious, with even common American dishes featuring creative twists that make them memorable. Furthermore, the portion sizes are generous, and the prices are not overpriced. It's perfect for chatting and gathering with friends.
Beautiful restaurant! The chandeliers, trees and ambient lights really added a cherry on top to my experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing super kind. The food was DELICIOUS. Most restaurants with nice atmosphere usually their food is mediocre but the food was amazing. I ordered the broiled salmon and medium done with the helpful recommendation of the waitress. I told her we were lactose and she was super helpful to ensure we would be able to enjoy our food dairy free. Also ordered the french fries and the shaved ribeye sandwich. French fries were crispy and good and the sandwich was tender and an overall great bite. Definitely worth it and will be coming back here again.
I recently celebrated my birthday at RH Rooftop in New York this past November, and although I’m only now getting around to writing this, I couldn’t let the opportunity to applaud Ryan, one of the event planners pass by. He was absolutely fantastic. I called super last-minute trying to schedule a dinner for almost 20 people, and somehow he made it happen. His communication was clear and timely. The entire evening was seamless, beautiful, and truly elevated the celebration. Ryan’s professionalism, communication, and kindness made my birthday all the more special. RH definitely has a good one on their team. Thank you again, Ryan!
I had an amazing experience at RH Rooftop Restaurant recently! I was celebrating a birthday and I couldn't have picked a better place. The food was amazing I got the branzino and truffle fries as a side and a caramel creme brule. The caramel creme brule was one of the best desserts I've had at a restaurant! Our waitress was very professional, informative and kind which elevated our dining experience. And lastly the restaurant was BEAUTIFUL, truly immaculate vibes. 10 outta 10 experience! Just make sure you make a reservation if you have a group of people because they are busy!
The rooftop restaurant at RH Paris is a visual spectacle. Guests ascend via a sleek glass elevator that rises dramatically from the floor — a cinematic entrance that sets the tone for the experience. Upstairs, the panoramic views over the Champs-Élysées are breathtaking, and the design blends California cool with Parisian elegance. It’s an ideal spot for a sunset cocktail or a stylish lunch. Unfortunately, the service overall felt cold and unwelcoming, especially toward tourists. What truly saved the experience was Max — a standout team member who stepped in with genuine warmth and attentiveness. His kindness made all the difference and turned an otherwise disappointing visit into a memorable one.
If you’re looking for a luxury lunch, brunch, or dinner in the city, Restoration Hardware Rooftop is the spot. This stunning multi-level furniture gallery has an elegant rooftop restaurant with indoor & outdoor dining, perfect for connecting with your favorite people. We enjoyed a spread of fresh dishes: arugula salad with lobster, Caesar salad, salmon entrée, cheeseburger, truffle fries ( to die for), Bellini, affogato, crème brûlée, and the warmest chocolate chip cookie. A must for anyone who loves chic vibes, skyline views, and elevated dining in Manhattan.
Omg absolutely amazing. As nice and delicious as the San Francisco RH. Our server Dyonne made everything so much more special. Kudos to RH for hiring such great people. The host, the woman could be nicer. She had a lot of attitude and wasn't friendly at all. But everyone else was amazing and my husband and I were celebrating a work trip and it was perfect. The drinks the food the coffee the dessert everything was amazing♥️ literally no words like the crème brûlée
We dined here for our anniversary, and everything was exquisite—from the food to the ambiance. Our server was delightful and attentive, which made the experience even more special. I can’t recommend this place enough and would certainly dine here again. ✨
Repeat visit for lunch on the RH rooftop did not disappoint - I returned to this restaurant in Jan 2025 having last eaten here in September 2019. The food and service were exceptional and the setting - tables set amongst a beautiful rooftop garden - was the perfect spot to grab some lunch after a long morning of walking around the city. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and we split probably the best truffle Parmesan fries I’ve ever eaten for the table. They had a pretty hefty price tag at over $20 a portion but totally worth it in my view. Dessert was delicious - indulgent but light so not too heavy to finish the meal off with and our waiter comped us an incredible sea salt and chocolate chip cookie which really hit the spot whilst we drank our coffees. There’s not much space between the tables but it feels private and spacious and the water features, greenery and chandeliers make it a really light and bright space, even on a cold Winter’s day. I’d definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment and be sure to check out the home furnishings on your way out. The wine and cocktail menu had a really nice selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Wow! I had the best first impression of the RH rooftop. My two friends are regulars and we had the best lunch. I couldn’t decide between the lobster roll and shrimp salad so Abby made sure I had it all :) plus cookies. Go for the chopped chicken salad too. She was so sweet and attentive. The rooftop is gorgeous and it’s so worth the trip because the staff is incredible and the food is delicious. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Ron, Abby for making it so memorable and relaxing.
Came here for dinner and would recommend getting reservations beforehand. It’s an interesting setup with this restaurant above their furniture store. The space is stunning. I’d say the experience is more for the atmosphere than the food. The food isn’t bad and the dessert was good.
The Ribeye and Filet were delicious and cooked to order... dipping both in the bearnaise sauce. A la carte asparagus and mashed potatoe sides. They did send out cold mashed potatoes initially but was reheated quickly. This part of the city feels clean and boujee. Short walk to the water dinner! Highly recommend!
We did a reservation roughly 8pm for a friends birthday, 4 of us in total and I had been before when it was busy but on a Monday was nice and calm. The staff from the front door in the lobby to upstairs to our server Mariana were all amazing and so sweet allowing us to not rush at all even past closing when we tried to hurry up. Food? Absolutely amazing! Drinks were perfect and not too strong at all which was great. The whole restaurant is always gorgeous with such an amazing view of downtown. Always going to recommend them!
5/5 experience!!! This restaurant is stunning! The atmosphere is sexy, open yet private, and RH did an absolutely amazing job designing this space. When you first walk in you’re greeted by a doorman and host to verify you have a reservation. You then go upstairs to the rooftop and the trip up in their elevator is breathtaking. You get to admire the furniture and fixtures as you ascend to the top floor. When the doors open you’re greeted again and immediately immersed in the beautiful setting which is RH Rooftop. We dined here at night for my birthday dinner and we were given the perfect corner booth! It was so private and had a view of the entire restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous! The food was amazing! We had the following items: - Caesar Salad (croutons on the side) 5/5 perfect balance of flavor, dressing, and lettuce - Entree Shrimp 5/5 - Large and flavorful - Entree Ribeye 5/5 - Large, flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the sea salt on the side to add according to your preference was a great touch! - Side mashed potatoes 4/5 - Pretty tasty and filling. They were a little runnier than I imagined but the flavor was great - Dessert Raspberry Sorbet 5/5 - Perfect balance of tart and sweet - Drinks: Prosecco and Cabernet Loved this restaurant and I’d love to try it next time for their brunch! Please note that they do not have a full bar and only serve wine and non alcoholic drinks/mocktails.
Dined here in February 2026 with coworkers. I wasn't aware of this setup inside the Restoration Hardware store. It was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is on the top floor of the location. It was winter so sat inside. The decor and ambiance suited to the location and flair and the type you'd expect from RH. The service was spot on, the attendants and the waitstaff very attentive. The options for dining were just as you expected and diverse for anyone and everyone. The location we sat was comfortable and it was quite yet vibrant. The place was humming for a Thursday night with both visitors and locals. I would definitely find myself dining here again in the future.
While it may not have the best food, it's not horrible but don't expect five stars, it made up in ambiance. Beautiful place on top of a gorgeous store. Everyone is dressed to the nines, which totally pleasantly surprised me, and the crowd, bluntly, were pretty good looking people. Never a bad thing. 😉 We weren't rushed, which was an added bonus, and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Worth a visit.
Can't miss. Excellent views and top notch servers. We treated ourselves to the mini lobster rolls with caviar and were glad we did...so delicious! The meal salads were beautifully prepared and delicious. The shaved ribeye dip sandwich was good but could have been great with prepared horseradish as an option. Great experience for a date place or brunch with friends!
We had an amazing experience at RH Rooftop. The chandeliers, lighting, food, service. One of the few places where the ambiance is actually worth it. My favorite thing was the truffle fries, this is a must. It’s all coated with truffle every bite. The branzino, simple classic. Not as bony as I expected. Salt on side. Lobster roll excellent, bread was extra buttery. Crème brûlée is a little more caramel than I like but still very good. Def on the heavier side. On and the burrata, the peppers were grilled to perfection. The vegetables with this was the highlight. Broccolini also very good. Honestly everything was good. Our server was very kind to bring me a club soda after hearing about my hangover. I will definitely be back to try the steak and burger.
I visited RH New York on a tough day. I had just flown in from Atlanta for a funeral, and I stopped in before heading back to the airport. Their kindness and hospitality genuinely lifted my spirits. Even though the restaurant was busy, they accommodated me quickly, and the service was exceptional. The lobster roll with caviar was delicious, but it was the warmth of the staff especially Fidy and Manager Salvatore that made my heart smile.
STUNNING ROOFTOP VIEWS If you’re looking for one of the most beautiful dining settings in New York City, RH Rooftop is it. The atmosphere is glamorous, the design is chic, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. It’s the kind of place that makes you stop mid-sentence just to soak it all in. OUTDOOR DINING IS A MUST If the weather cooperates, definitely request a table outside. The rooftop seating transforms the experience, giving you fresh air and unbeatable city views. It’s where RH Rooftop truly shines. INSIDE DINING CAN FEEL CRAMPED The interior dining room is elegant, but be prepared: on busy nights it’s tightly packed, with not much space between tables. The energy is lively and social, but it may not be the best option if you’re looking for something more intimate. LIMITED BUT CURATED DRINK MENU One thing to know before you go: the bar serves only wine, champagne, and champagne cocktails—no hard liquor. The options are well-curated and creative, but if you’re expecting a full bar, you may be disappointed. BOTTOM LINE RH Rooftop is all about the views and ambiance. Come for the spectacular setting, plan for outdoor dining if possible, and enjoy the atmosphere—it’s a must-see spot in NYC.
Very romantic atmosphere staff was so friendly, they gave me and my boyfriend free dessert for our anniversary, we didn’t even tell them they just looked from the reservation occasion. Even another staff member that we asked to take our photo wished us a happy anniversary. The food was good too
Amazing all around! Made a reservation for my birthday dinner and it was perfect! Our server, Georgie, was extremely attentive and kind, and made sure we were well taken care of! The food was also delicious. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate an occasion or have a dinner with friends, I would 100% recommend!
I traveled from New Jersey to Raleigh to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and RH Rooftop Restaurant completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, I was captivated by the beauty of the space. The first floor feels like an elegant art gallery, and once you take the elevator to the third floor, the rooftop restaurant welcomes you with stunning views and a breathtaking glass ceiling. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and our table was perfectly placed to enjoy the view of the city. We shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and the food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented with a subtle exotic twist. The warm chocolate chip cookies were the perfect sweet ending—soft, gooey, and simply yummy! We even got to enjoy the sunset through the glass ceiling, which made the entire experience even more magical. RH Rooftop truly lives up to its reputation. Beautiful ambiance, excellent food, and outstanding service. Highly recommend ✨
My husband brought me here, and we had a great experience from the moment we walked in. Service was 10/10. The truffle fries were delicious, you can’t stop eating them once you start. We also really enjoyed the caviar appetizer. And the chocolate chip cookies with the salt garnish were warm and chewy, just everything. At the end, the waiter was happy to take photos of my husband & I . So kind! Definitely coming back here, thanks for the great experience
Amazing lunch! Ordered the lobster roll, filet, and truffle fries, as well as the banana sundae, and some spritzes. Everything was delicious. Wish I could remember our servers name, he was lovely. Made great recommendations and was very attentive. Have been here before, and will definitely be back again. Nice ambiance and views as well.
Amazing vibe, service, and food. Went there for brunch on the weekend and will definitely go back.

Uploaded ——————————————— I revisited RH Rooftop after receiving a newsletter about their expanded brunch menu. I ordered the avocado toast and wine, while my friend got the RH burger and a Cappelletti Spritz. The stunning interior and friendly service remain top-notch, and the improved menu made for an even more enjoyable experience. The delicious brunch has me really looking forward to trying their dinner options! ———————————————————————— The interior and the view were delightful, and I appreciated the service that offered menu recommendations and inquired about allergies. However, while the food was in a generally fresh state, it was on the pricey side.
RH rooftop restaurant is the restaurant belonging to the furniture gallery in the building. Obviously it’s located in a very touristy location of meat packing district, so most customers were tourists. I think I was the only New Yorker in the very crowded restaurant during a late lunch hour. The food was good and the service was ok.
We stopped by the Restoration Hardware Rooftop Café for lunch on a Thursday and were immediately drawn to the open, airy ambiance. With plenty of natural light, stylish décor, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, it’s the kind of space that makes you want to linger a little longer. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The kale salad was excellent—fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavor. The French dip, on the other hand, was just okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. What did stand out, though, was the wait time. Even with a courteous and professional staff, it took about 30 to 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt a little excessive for a casual lunch. That said, we’re not writing it off just yet. The setting is undeniably beautiful, and I imagine the rooftop views at night would make for a stunning dinner spot. We’ll likely be back to give it another shot—hopefully with a quicker turnaround on the food.
Lovely rooftop! Very intimate setting with great views of the city. The food was not as great as expected but still good. I had the salmon Caesar salad which was yummy, the steak wasn’t advertised as a sandwich if I remember correctly but still good. The wait staff was very attentive and always close by to help! Would definitely come back :)
Atmosphere outside is great. Nice view, little breeze, felt relaxing and comfortable. Attentive service but food was average. You can take steps and there is 3 or 4 story furniture store beneath. It was completely empty and you can walk around, step outside on the terrace on each floor for the view and take pictures. Really cool
This is a great looking restaurant on top of the Gallery. Casual ambiance. Clean facilities. Nice staff, especially Jonathan our server. Simple menu which makes ordering easy. New York City prices so bring your Credit Cards. Food is really good. Pictures posted of our food. We will definitely be going back.
Looking to continue our streak of great eats we turned to RH Rooftop to keep it going and it did not disappoint. We had brunch reservations for 2 as soon as they opened and it looks like others had the same idea as us since the place was busy from open. You enter through the gallery entrance and head up one of three elevators, the main one being glass. Unfortunately for us it decided to rain that morning so we weren’t able to sit outside but the interior of the venue is beautiful complete with elevated finishes and water fountains lining the walkways. The staff were friendly and attentive and we sat down to order quickly after arriving. For food we kept it very simple: an order of the Swedish pancakes, American breakfast, and a matcha latte. The matcha latte came out first and it looked great with a deep green color and adorned with a design. The taste was great too, sweet and earthy but the matcha of a high enough quality where it doesn’t have that aftertaste. The Swedish pancakes were incredible. Light, fluffy, and held butter very well. They were unique in their texture, almost cloudlike but didn’t fall apart easily or tear unevenly when cut. Some of, if not, the best pancakes we’ve ever had. The American breakfast was a slight letdown. The bacon was a nice texture and flavorful and the crispy potatoes were an interesting take on breakfast potatoes we had never seen. They were almost lightly battered in a way but still somewhat firm inside. The eggs and ciabatta were bland but to be fair that’s eggs and breads so you can’t dock it much. By the end of the meal and a few photo ops in between we were very happy. The good food accompanied by the beautiful scenery justifies an elevated pricepoint. We will be back again.
Beautiful setting and the service was great too. They were able to nicely accommodate gluten free options, and all the dishes we got were generally good. The crispy artichoke as a bit too fried and oily for my taste but I guess I should’ve expected it. The grilled shrimp was very yummy, and the scrambled eggs were done really nicely. We also got a side of mushrooms and a side of the charred broccolini - there was also a bit too much oil on the mushroom dish, but overall the taste was pretty good. I’d come back for the overall service and atmosphere.
This rooftop is located on top of Restoration Hardware. It is by reservation only. I saw a few people turned away. The restaurant is so aesthetically pleasing. The chandeliers in the inside of the dining hall give it an upscale feeling. There is outdoor seating as well. In the background you see the freedom tower. The food we ordered was well cooked and tasted well. They don't have a very large selection of drinks or food but they have a few choices. It was a nice way to spend the first day of fall.
Brunching at the rooftop of Restoration Hardware in New York City is truly a unique experience that should not be missed. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend a visit. While the food may not have met my expectations, the stunning location, friendly and professional service staff, and breathtaking views more than compensate for it. I particularly suggest planning your visit during the spring or fall when the weather enhances the overall experience. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as it appears to be reservation-only. Additionally, take some time to explore the beautiful setting and decor of the Restoration Hardware store itself, which is one of my favorite furniture destinations. Overall, it’s a great spot for brunch or lunch, offering a delightful atmosphere that makes for a memorable outing.
I had a lovely time at RH Rooftop Restaurant! Food: The menu offers a great selection, and while most dishes were excellent, I found a couple that could use a bit more seasoning. The presentation was beautiful, making each plate a delight. Service: The service was very good—our server was attentive and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Atmosphere: The rooftop setting is stunning, with breathtaking views and a chic ambiance that creates a perfect backdrop for any occasion. Overall, I highly recommend RH Rooftop for a memorable dining experience, especially on a nice day!
This was my first time at RH for dinner and the ambience was amazing. The food was good but the service was very mid. Our server Emilio forgot drinks and also other deserts we ordered and no apology was given. He seemed to be more attentive to a new table that sat down 2 hours into our reservation. As a server myself I know the standard of service and that wasn’t it at all. The food however was very good!
The RH Rooftop in New York offers a stunning experience with its beautifully restored space featuring elegant finishes and chandeliers, making it a perfect backdrop for photos. The food was impressive; the ribeye was cooked to perfection, the salmon was delicious, and the lobster rolls were a crowd favorite. Despite a casual crowd, the place was bustling with activity. Additionally, there's an outdoor rooftop deck that likely provides an amazing view during the summer.

Beautiful view outside, good food, but they only serve beer and wine, and the selections are limited. Location is terrific!

My first time here and everyone I spoke to about this place said the food is not good or just ok. But I like to make my own judgments. And i truly loved this restaurant. Walking in you are greated so amazingly and then you go upstairs and more wow. The service is AMAZING. I was so impressed with the staff. I was helped by 4 different staff members and all were AMAZING. The rooftop is stunning. The drinks i enjoyed very much. But the food, sadly was not worth it. The cookies for dessert were VERY GOOD(yum). I feel a restaurant this beautiful and with AMAZING staff should really rethink the menu and make much better food.
People must come here for the atmosphere rather than the food. Let me start with the positives. The rooftop, decor, vibe is great. Lots of seating both inside and outside. Small water features throughout the roof top, so much light coming in from the green house roof. There are heat lamps outside. The decor is so chic and there is a chandelier at every table. The elevator ride up is also gorgeous as you gaze out to the floors of the furniture store. Bad- basically everything else. Food is overpriced and mediocre. Takes awhile to come out and also took us 20 min to be seated even though we had a reservation. Service was also mediocre. After our food came out waiter did not come back once to check in on us (Patrick) and I actually had an issue with my meal. I ordered the steak and eggs and the steak was the most measly amount of steak I ever saw, was over cooked to what temp I ordered and 3 pieces were all fat. Granted they didn’t list ounces on the menu and I should have asked. The flavor was good but it was hard to enjoy it knowing I was paying $36 for 3 eggs and 2 bites of meat. I will say the flavor of everything was good, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the bread and the bit of salad on the side was a nice touch. My friend got the eggs Benedict and liked it a lot. Other friend got the chicken bacon sandwhich and liked it but mentioned it was shredded fatty dark meat. When I think chicken sandwich and for $29 I think white meat and big pieces but not this place. Fries were good, $10. Everything is a la carte. The drinks are $18 and average. I hear the peach Bellini is great but it was just okay to me. It did taste good and I liked it but it was not worth $18. I got a peppermint tea and that was good, smith brand and came with a jar of honey which was cute. If you want to come here for the atmosphere or take insta pictures I get it, just don’t order the steak and eggs or expect much out of the food and drinks.
I went recently with my son and the service and atmosphere was phenomenal. No complaints there. The hosts and servers all chipped in and made us feel welcome. This place dropped the ball on their menu. Small and with little to offer. Especially at this price point, I would love to see more variety in the future. If you want to go somewhere to take nice pictures, this is your place. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal, you should go anywhere else.
The atmosphere and view is nice but the food is pretty bad. Friend got the Bronzino and had to send it back. I ordered the chicken and it was pretty bland and tasted off. Another friend got the lobster roll and didn’t finish it - I tried it and it was also off. How do you mess up a lobster roll? Wouldn’t not recommend unless you want the view and a fancy atmosphere.
Nice atmosphere but over prices for small potions. If you're a young NY yuppie maybe this is the place for you. Not for me. The wait for our food was way too long. Then the food was just okay. My roasted chicken sandwich was very small. The bread was way too hard. I did enjoy the crispy artichokes. They were unique and yummy.
Service was a bit awkward. Sat beside the server’s station yet no one checked on us after mains were served, and it took 30 minutes to clear plates after cutlery was in the finished position. The filet pictured here was ordered at Medium. Glad I ordered Medium because I’d be afraid to eat the Medium-Rare variant. Nevertheless the seasoning was exquisite, but can you really expect less? Mashed potatoes were excellent. I come here again and again for the ambiance of the place.
The service was okay. It was ny wife's birthday and they had us waiting for a table even though we were early for our reservation. I specifically told them it was her birthday when I called and whe…
Our server Manny was an absolute angel and the only reason this review isn’t one star. Unfortunately, the door and overall staff was rude and classist, and the way we were spoken to about taking photos was uncalled for. The quality and flavor of the food for the price we pay it was absolutely not worth it. We had Salmon, chicken, lobster rolls, truffle fries, sweet potato fries and burger. The only thing that was good was the burger. save yourself the trouble and don’t go to this place. Disappointing experience overall.
The ambiance of this place was nice but overall this experience was really upsetting. We booked this reservation for my 21st champagne birthday a month ago when reservations became available. My mom and I were very excited to celebrate at a well established restaurant on my birthday as we were visiting NYC from Canada. but boy were we wrong. We were sat at a small lackluster table near the entrance of the restaurant and as someone who works as a sever I understand that every table needs to be sat so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. But as the waiter never introduced himself and only said “do you need more time with the menus” I knew our service was not going to be up to par. After feeling like we were not welcome we debated leaving but ultimately decided that it is a Sunday and it would be hard to find elsewhere to eat. So, we decided to order, the food was good but we finished our plates and no one came to get them for at least 30 mins (mind you all of your waitstaff and managers were standing and talking 10 feet from our table). We asked for the bill as other tables celebrating birthdays received candle lit desserts and we did not, which added to the disappointment. Additionally, the manager was more concerned with us using the flash on our cellphones then the quality of the service, get your priorities straight. Overall, not worth the $250 American as a Canadian girl who only gets to celebrate 21 once. Don’t eat here.

I don’t recommend dining at RH Rooftop in NYC. The decor is okay, and obviously the furniture store that you walk through to get to the restaurant is amazing. But, the food is really poor. We ordered and 3 minutes later the food came out. You would tell everything is pre-made and simply Kept warm. There’s no way a ribeye sandwich and hamburger can be freshly made in 3 minutes. I didn’t finish even half my ribeye sandwich it was so terrible. Two thumbs down.
