Our first trip to New York to take my mother to where she served in world war II in the Coast guard. We were close to Gotham City Pizza so we went there for dinner. The owner saw us coming and came outside to help us with my mother who's in a wheelchair at 100 years old go up the ramp to the door. The service and hospitality was top notch. The pizza was just out of this world delicious. And we were sitting in the corner of the restaurant with Windows on two sides so we could watch all the people go by as the sun set. It was a great experience and my mother loved the pizza. Even if this place is out of your way I recommend you go their business was booming for takeout they have six to eight tables inside and the view of the street is just stunning.

I worked around Chelsea Piers for some time, and this used to be my go-to spot. I recently returned to NYC and had to pay them a visit. The 2 slice + drink lunch combo is still 6$, and the pizza is still just as good. Unbeatable deal in this area. Their pizza dough has an extra crispy thing going for it. I think they roll it onto breadcrumbs before baking. Whatever they got going on, it's magic. Service is fast and friendly. The store is on the larger side so it never feels too crowded in there, and there is plenty of seating available.

We really enjoyed our Pizza at Gotham Pizza. Especially the Grandmas Pizza tastes amazing! The prices are really good in relation to other restaurants in New York. Definitely recommend it!

We stumbled upon this pizzeria on our way back to hotel past dinner time. Since we were super hungry, we decided to have some pizza. Surprisingly, the pizza were good! We love the crispy crust with corn meal dust. The filling was good and tasted fresh. We even came back the next day for more slices. - Margherita: the mozzarella tasted fresh and the sauce was good - BBQ chicken: loads of chicken pieces but the bbq sauce was a bit too much - Pepperoni: simple but delicious! Lots of peperoni

Every time we visit Manhattan, we have to stop in at Gotham Pizza for lunch. Great New York style pizza. And super friendly owners and staff! Made these Canadians feel right at home!!:-)!!

Needed a quick bite during my visit, wanted cheap and tasty pizza. Gotham got the job done! Also 2 regular slices and a drink for $5?! Great deal. I liked the regular, but definitely preferred the margherita.

Unique, crispy pizza with a breaded base - like fried chicken. If you've never had it, you've got to try it! Super friendly service. Not a romantic date destination, unless your date is a pizza connoisseur.

Gotham Pizza was not our first choice but it was the closest spot to us and we were super hungry. It is a typical New York style slice but they use cornmeal on the crust which makes it crunchier. Personally, I like being able to fold my slice and here the crust cracks instead because of the crunch. That said, the toppings were fresh and very tasty. Overall, it did its job. Decent, inexpensive, and inoffensive pizza. Buffalo chicken slice: 8/10 BBQ chicken slice: 7/10 Grandma slice 8/10 Regular cheese slice 7/10 3.5 rounded up

After grabbing a slice, I was honestly surprised by how much I liked the crust—it was thin, crunchy, and had this cracker-like vibe to it, but in a good way. Definitely wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.
