I loved the coffee shop as soon as I walked in. They had very interesting items on the board, like lavender espresso. But since I was looking for the perfect drip coffee in the city, I had to stick to that. The coffee was bold, a little bit fruity, and strong, and it was made perfectly. The baristas were very fast and efficient. I need to go back to try their specials.

I love this place so much I wish I could give it 10 stars. It’s surprisingly hard to find good coffee shops in NYC and this place is perfection. Stayed in the area for 3 weeks and probably came here 4x/week. The main barista, Alp, pulls perfect shots every time. I’ve tried every specialty drink on the menu - the rose and lavender special lattes are incredible but a classic cappuccino is also amazing. It also has a good vibe, jazz on the weekends, and a nice outdoor area.

As a first time customer, I came in looking amazed by their decor design. I wanted to purchase a hot non espresso beverage. His service was attentive and patient. The atmosphere was small and the cup container looks too luxurious to throw out.

Finally, good espresso! And they have many different beans to choose from! Thank God Terremoto is in NYC! I was starting to think that our NYC espresso standards are falling—and maybe they are—but not here. This place is world class.

Fantastic coffee spot—they really know their coffee well, pour an excellent cup, and have some great beans to choose from. I wouldn’t quite compare them to Sey . . . But I will speak their names in the same breathe. Oh, also friendly and helpful service. Unfortunately small selection of pastries, but you can’t have everything I guess. Not much room inside but a couple tables of outdoor seating, pleasant if it’s a nice day.

I'm quite picky about coffee. Generally prefer to brew my own at home instead of getting it at cafes. Especially skeptical of flavored drinks. But Terremoto surpassed my expectations. Both the space oddity (rose) and purple rain (lavender) were subtly flavored and really enhanced the overall drink. Definitely recommend it as a stop if you're around Chelsea market

Excellent cup of coffee. Quaint little spot with a couple of tables and a tiny bit of seating outside.

“A very nice, small, and cozy café, and the service is very friendly. They offer four different types of coffee—my favorite is the Colombian coffee bean. The coffee bean comes from a village called Jardín in Antioquia.”

I have to show some love to this "coffee shop!" I've never had coffee like this and when I say it was DELICIOUS I am not just saying that! I ordered a Carmel Latte Iced with almond milk and it was so so good! I am from Texas and can't wait to return to this coffee shop! Definitely try them out!

In town for business and found this quaint little coffee shop. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered a cortado accompanied with a chocolate chip cookie for an extra twist on the palette. Loved the music and was a calming latin jazz appropriate for the area and theme to this shop. This truly filled my cup (punn intended)

This coffee shop is a true gem of Manhattan, perfection in every detail. From the selection of the product itself, the quality and technology of its preparation, to the meticulously designed space—everything is polished to the millimeter. Excellent customer service and a very open and responsive owner with a vision and a flawless approach to everything. You might not even think about it, but your cup of coffee will be prepared on the best equipment available today, by true professionals who are passionate about their craft and people. Highly recommended!

Delicious coffee and amazing customer service. The Terremoto Latte was lovely as well as the fresh blueberry pastry. I can’t wait to come back! This is top on my list.

Fantastic gourmet coffee! The flavors are beyond delicious. The staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable for Manhattan standards. 10/2023 Another fantastic cup of coffee. Truly, this place has the flavor and consistency to make great and delicious coffee. 04/2023 Fantastic small coffee shop near Chelsea market, across from the hospital. Interesting flavors. Very friendly and informative staff. I tried the Lavander Coffee, which was surprisingly delicious, and a caramel coffee, which was 10 out 10. Prices are standard for NYC specialty coffee. Cash and credit accepted. Wifi is available. There is no bathroom for customers. Seating available indoors and outdoors. It's definitely a great spot for a coffee. 10/2022

caffeine is ubiquitous. however great-tasting caffeine is rare. Terremoto Coffee is not some faceless coffee product dispensary, but a more personalized and thoughtful coffee spot. high quality. well-prepared. genuinely friendly. it is a joy to be in the small space inhaling coffee aromas—knowing that joy is distilled into each cup of brew. the Americano here is stellar bc it is a simple coffee drink prepared proficiently and the end result is a flavorful hot cup of coffee. there’s not much seating inside the shop but there is some seating outside of it. the staff here is hospitable. nothing like walking on a crisp Fall afternoon with a cup of coffee of Terremoto to keep your temperature up and rewarding your taste buds with some subtle yet, pleasantly layered flavor in each sip of coffee.

This place isn’t super close to my apartment but I sure wish it was. I was out walking the doggo and popped in for a morning coffee. The specialty drinks all looked amazing so it was tough to choose. I went with the Purple Rain because I love me some lavender and it was FIRE. The staff was super friendly and offered my dog a treat and gave her a cup for water since it was a hot one that day. Anytime I’m in the area I’ll be sure to pop back in.

Small good coffee spot near Chelsea Market. They have a small table inside and sitting outside. There was a lot of traffic when I was there. The reason, good coffee! The black coffee I had was excellent. My wife order a perfectly balanced cappuccino. I definitely recommend Terremoto Coffee. Next time I’m there I’ll ask about the name.

This hipster coffee shop located at Chelsea NY knows what a good latte is supposed to be like. I also loved their cork cups! It is not only looking good, it's texture is lovely, and it is even really practical!

Good coffee at this small Chelsea shop, local vibes. A little cramped inside, especially when busy, but we took our drinks outside on a nice autumn afternoon. Cookie was tasty. Coffee was good.

Paid for a coffee, then was immediately told to stop my phone call or leave, with zero signage or notice beforehand. Didn’t even get to sit down. It’s a bad feeling to hand over your money and suddenly be treated unwelcomed. Clear rules should come before payment, not after. Honestly, there are better coffee shops that are more welcoming around, there is no reason to come back here.

A very small and nice coffee ☕️ shop. Looks and smells like they should have wonderful coffee. But sadly their coffee is very acidic and it tastes to me that the extraction time is too short and grind is too fine grounds for the bean they are using. I normally don't recommend big companies over small shops but going to the Starbucks Reserve down the street is a much safer bet for your caffeine fix.
