Really great beans they're working with. The coffee flight is a great price if you want to try a few things.
Came here on a Tuesday evening and it was a nice quiet space to read for a bit. Enjoyed the chili and cheese palmier
From Emme age 5(almost 6): I had a caramel steamer, and I really liked it. Drinking that, it made me feel like I was like a parent or something. It tasted like something new as I’d never tried something like that before. If you have child my age I think you should try it out. From Emme
Great tucked away coffee stop in a basement level. Super chilled vibes, friendly team, solid flat white, and bangin vegan chewie chunkie cookie which they warmed up to boot. House coffee was Manipulator - Columbian washed, also great. My first proper flat white double 6-80z with micro foam?… Absolutely. Give ‘em some love 🙌🏻
Wow! I'm from Santa Barbara and we came at 21 degrees weather. The store was nice and warm. They greeted us with kindness. The latte was smooth! Great service! Highly recommend! Smooth espresso!
I was staying in a hotel nearby this coffee shop and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed! My sister enjoyed the caramel iced coffee she got, and I loved my strawberry matcha. I can tell they actually know how to make matcha here, and I was very happy about it!! The employees were also so nice and helpful. I would definitely come here again!
I usually judge coffee based on an espresso or cortado - after trying their iced drip (Mind Fuzz) I no longer needed to try their espresso. You could taste all the fruity notes of Mind Fuzz, all the flavors came out without the need of artificial syrups - grabbed a bag for home. Knowledgeable and helpful staff! If you’re a coffee snob like myself, then this gets my stamp of approval! 4.8/5
A haven for good coffee in a neighborhood chock full of Starbucks. No line, easy to get in and out with a filter coffee and to be on your way for the day. Also a few seats if you want to sit inside for a bit. Easy to find on 44th street, sign is at street level and then take the steps down to the entrance. I did not see a wheelchair accessible entrance.
Hidden bellow the streets of New York, St Kilda has some KILLER coffee. I got the dirty chai and my dad got a double shot latte. The coffee they’re using is fresh and superb. More than anything else however, the atmosphere is so fun. Walking down the steps out of the city and into this cafe is, simply put: magical.
I really really liked this place. Hip clean sub-level cafe with great indie music and airy space. I got a latte and Brazil drip coffee. The coffee flavor in both had such a unique fruity floral flavor. So delicious and unique. I was tempted to buy some of that coffee they had on the shelf. Loved sitting here enjoying my beverage and Shazam'ing the playlist. Will be back.
This is a low-key shop, but specialty and nice. The staff seemed a bit indifferent, but that just felt like the vibe of the place. I got a really nice cortado with an anaerobic espresso - one of my favorites on my trip. The acidity really cut through and shined through. They also don’t charge extra for plant-based milks, which is really cool. They didn’t offer pour over, but that’s understandable.
Nice little cafe located below the streets of Hell Kitchen - cosy, nice and warm. Staff is efficient and polite. Free flow water available. Limited seating capacity but works for small groups or individuals looking for a quick coffee fix while wandering through the streets of New York. Reasonably priced and quality is very decent! Superb alternative to Starbucks. Light bites and savory treats also available in a small mini bar section to go with your coffee. Highly recommended!
My husband had a latte which he said was good. I had an earl grey tea which was not very good. The rather small cup was only half full of water which wasn’t very hot. I was given quite a bit of milk to add and the barista kindly refilled the cup with another approximately half cup of less than steaming water. Good place for latte but not so much for tea.
Nice little spot. Thought I’d try a flight but the only advice I got from the barista was “we only have one espresso” and when it came the sparkling water was flat (plus there was only an .oz of it at most). The espresso was very bitter, but the Columbia & Rwandan brewed coffees were delicious. If you offer flights it’s worth putting the effort in to make the experience worth the $.
This review is about sustainability only! 🙂 By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And of the plastic we make and consume today, over 95% of it does not actually get recycled. Instead, it ends up in landfills and our oceans, gets burned in incinerators, and breaks down into micro plastics that we consume and get sick from. I love that your coffee shop indeed has reusable mugs available, but I am saddened to see that the majority of people enjoying their coffee here are drinking from throwaway plastic cups. I wonder if you could encourage or model more sustainable coffee options for your customers by asking them if they will be enjoying their coffee on the premises. Or perhaps you could put up a sign that encourages or reminds people that they have a reusable mug option available in the house. Or perhaps you could offer a slight discount to those who bring in their own mugs. Communication is key, and I strongly believe that if more people knew they had the option to produce less waste, they would take it. Sadly, we have accepted this current state of plastic consumption as normal, when it absolutely is not. I hope you can help New Yorkers protect this waterfront city by the trash that goes into the city’s water, and waters around the world. Thank you for your consideration! I appreciate your space and I love your coffee, and your service is wonderful. Would love to see some additional sustainability measures and communications to match what is otherwise a great coffee experience.
