Opinions de the Blue Mezze Bar New York
I stopped by Zoi for the first time today, and all I can say is—10/10 experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how beautiful the space is. The aesthetic is calm, elegant, and chic, with such a warm and inviting vibe. Even though I arrived toward closing and sat at the bar, the energy still felt welcoming and relaxed. Cristian, the bartender, was incredibly knowledgeable and sweet. He checked in on me consistently and provided exceptional service. He recommended a few options and made what might honestly be the best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had. Anthony, the server, was just as wonderful. He suggested the salmon, which was absolutely spectacular, and the Brussels sprouts were amazing as well. He was cordial, attentive, and made great recommendations. I really recommend , I’ll definitely be back!
Dinner tonight was 10/10!!! The food was exceptional, tons of gluten free options, delicious cocktails and Cristan hooked us up with the best drinks & rounds of shots all night long. Cant wait to go back to this location it was a fabulous dinner and girls night out spot
Came here on a snowy NYC day after being ignored at a UES diner. I was looking for something with fresh food and a warm atmosphere and I found Zoi. When I walked in I was greeted immediately and they gave me a table right away. It was around brunch time so I decided to try the French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and a cup of coffee. Both were considerably better than a lot of restaurants in the area. The French toast with fresh berries was very good and came with, I believe a scoop of house made icecream, a serving of syrup, a serving of lovely stewed mixed berries, and even a serving of pistachio cream. Incredibly delicious. Definitely recommend. The scrambled eggs were fresh and delicate and served on a bed of arugula and a side of warmed pita bread. The coffee was also good quality. The staff were kind and accomodating, respectfully gave you time to choose your order without rushing. Thr ambience is very special with back lit onyx walls and tables, comfortable chairs, electric fireplace and live musician. 100% recommend trying this place out.
Anthony was a great server. He made us feel special and was very welcoming. The food was so good too. The Crème Brulé was my favorite!
Very delicious dips, soups, chicken and an extensive menu but it overpriced for the portion size. The sushi was not that great because the sauce overwhelmed the fish. The interior is really beautiful. The cocktails were not that great even though the descriptions are interesting.
Great experience!! Amazing food and drinks and the most important was the service by the bartender Cristian, he has great vibe and he was really attentive, he made our night so enjoyable!”
The food was amazing! I love the atmosphere and the decor. The service was top notch as well.
We had the most amazing experience at this restaurant! The octopus was hands down the most tender and soft I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and literally melted in my mouth. It’s rare to find octopus done this well. The cauliflower was also incredible — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. It’s one of those dishes you keep talking about after you leave. And Albert, the manager, truly made the night special. He treated us so well and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality elevated the whole experience. We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
Such a great experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and attentive, specially Alejandro and Enrique, the food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, and the ambiance made us want to stay longer. You can really tell they care about quality. I will definitely be back!”
I recently dined at this restaurant and had such a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and every bite was packed with flavor. Prices were very reasonable, and the portions were just right for a satisfying meal without being too much. A special shoutout to our server, Emre, who went above and beyond. He recommended a dessert that turned out to be incredible—especially the panna cotta, which is an absolute must-try! Smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was the highlight of the meal. If you’re looking for a spot with tasty food, fair prices, and excellent service, this place is definitely worth visiting.
Everything was great! Kaya was super sweet and attentive. The bottomless mimosas were strong and the food was amazing as well. It can get a little busy but felt the servers were doing their best and wanted everyone to have a good time. The jazz music was a great addition (if you are hard of hearing or prefer quieter brunches maybe skip out on this.) Will definitely keep this in rotation for brunches and had a great time!
From the moment we walked in, we were in great hands with Okan, the manager. He has a natural for hospitality, warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. He managed every detail with ease, made sure allergies were handled perfectly. The food was great. The Greek salad was crisp, fresh, and seasoned just right. The Branzino was excellent, flavorful, and somehow both light and filling at the same time. The atmosphere is lively and inviting and the service is good I recommend Blue Mezze Bar (Zoi) and if you are lucky enough to have Okn take care of you, you are in for a fantastic experience.
I live on 71st and 2nd Ave and I have been in a few times and it’s always a pleasure. The staff are friendly and are quite attentive to detail. The hostess Veronica is awesome - my friend left his umbrella last time and she saved it and remembered that I had called about it ! Quite an impressive memory I’d say. I always sit at the bar when I come in , the seats are comfortable and the drinks are solid. They serve a Sancerre by the glass which I greatly appreciate and enjoy. The bartender Elif is excellent. She knew the food menu and made great suggestions. I’m in the restaurant business and she cranked out service drinks to the busy tables all night and didn’t seem to break a sweat. Overall it’s definitely worth giving a shot if you live in the area, I am always more than willing to pay whatever it is if the quality is there - Blue Mezze Bar delivers.
Went for dinner on the patio last night and it was the perfect night! Despite being very busy, the staff was kind and welcoming. We had a few dishes to share and everything was delicious — no complaints whatsoever! But the standout was actually the brussels sprouts, which we ordered last minute, and was incredible!! Highly recommend and lots of appreciation for a wonderful night out!
Loved our experience here! An affordable Mediterranean restaurant in Upper East with good vibes, friendly and swift service, and great food. We had the babaganoush and greek salad to share, then we each got a mixed grill plate, grilled octopus, branzini fillet and laval lokum. Then we shared the baklava for dessert.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! The staff, ambiance, of course the food was outstanding , but the attention to detail, the dishes and gorgeous onyx tables, walls & bar area. Even the cutlery is gorgeous! Nicest server, Yasin, made wonderful suggestions & the kitchen was able to accommodate a food ingredient allergy. The artichoke avocado salad was delicious as well as the octopus, scallops & lamb kebab! Very GENEROUS portions! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a memorable meal! You’re the BEST! ❤️🙏😘
Food was amazing. I ordered the short ribs Benedict with no English muffin, side salad, and pave potatoes. Everything was delicious and I would absolutely go back for the same meal. I wish I had taken pics but I was pretty hungry and in a hurry. Only downside was that I wanted salt and pepper (which wasn’t on the table) and after the food was dropped, I never saw the server again until I had to go find him to pay.
I recently dined at this Mediterranean restaurant and had a wonderful overall experience. The ambiance was excellent — elegant, modern, and very clean. The decoration felt refined and fancy, creating a welcoming yet upscale atmosphere. The food was truly the highlight of the evening. The tuna tartar was absolutely delicious, fresh and perfectly balanced. The octopus was tender and flavorful, while the salmon was simply outstanding. Every dish showed great attention to quality and preparation. The only disappointment was the limonada. It lacked the freshness and flavor expected and didn’t quite match the otherwise high standard of the menu. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. While the restaurant was spotless and beautifully decorated, the bathroom did not live up to the same standard as the dining area. This is an area that could definitely be improved to better align with the restaurant’s overall image. Despite a couple of small drawbacks, I left very happy with the food, the service, and the environment. I would definitely return for another meal and recommend it, especially for the outstanding dishes.
Lovely restaurant for dinner. The service was efficient, warm and professional. The food was delicious with adequate portions. I had the lentil soup which was excellent and my lamb was exactly how I enjoy it. The restaurant is small and the tables are very close to each other, however to my surprise it didn't feel as close as it looked. Would recommend b
VERY DISAPPOINTED! I've come here for brunch /dinner for a long time. I'm sitting here right now as a matter of fact. I'm looking at their new menu for the first time. Eggs benedict is a STAPLE DISH for brunch. It's no longer on the menu. I LOVE EGGS BENEDICT... so going forward,... I will have to give my brunch business to a different restaurant. Another brunch restaurant favorite just closed .... so there's only one restaurant on the Upper East Side where eggs benedict is absolutely delicious... and that's where my brunch business will now be every weekend. I think you're making a poor business choice in removing the eggs benedict from your brunch menu. Short ribs are way too strong of a taste for a daytime meal... IMHO. They did the same thing on a new restaurant on 85th and 2nd Avenue... so I won't be having brunch there anymore either. It's too bad. When something works,... no less when ithas to do with a "staple "... stick with it... because otherwise, I'm sorry... but you'll definitely lose a good deal of business... on that specific dish itself. I had the benedict with the hummus. It was very Bland and left much to be desired. I don't think you realize how many people like good old fashioned eggs benedict for brunch. I really don't think I'm the only one of this opinion
We had a reservation for six on a 95° day and weren’t told the AC was broken until we arrived. There was one tiny unit barely working, and the space was unbearably hot. We ended up staying only because we had other plans afterward, but it felt incredibly inconsiderate both for guests and for the kitchen staff to stay open under those conditions. The food itself was tasty, but I would never recommend this place to anyone because of the portion sizes. The prices are extremely high, and the servings are laughably small. When I make meze at home and have that little left on the plate, I usually just toss it… that’s how little they serve. We ordered sarma, and they brought out two sad little pieces. For a table of six, we had to order three just to feel like we got anything at all. To top it off, the service was terrible. We spent the entire evening trying to get our server’s attention with no luck. Between the heat, the portions, and the lack of service, I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business.
