Opinions de The Dawson 39 New York
My wife and I love trying new restaurants and this one was well worth it. The atmosphere was great, especially during the holiday season with all the decorations. We enjoyed relaxing and watching the football game on the Tv's over the full bar on a Monday night. The Tuscan Pasta, the Pepperoni Flatbread, along with a few drinks we ordered were all great. The bartenders had to be the best part though. Great service! Friendly, attentive, and fun. We'll definitely be back.
My friend had a salad topped with salmon and she really enjoyed it! We had appetizers at the villain-tines party upstairs. They were DELICIOUS! This restaurant & bar is classy and beautiful 😍! I definitely recommend it!
Great experience! I ordered a Cobb salad last night and it was really good. My brother had a Mansion Burger and he loved it! The bartender was also very welcoming. The atmosphere was pretty chill. I 100% recommend this place!
Stopped in for a quick drink on our way to Drunk Shakespeare. What a great random choice! We ended up having a few rounds, including a bit of an adventurous choice with the Guiness Daquiri, made by the very friendly and attentive Kira. We also grabbed the Buffalo chicken egg rolls, which were light, flaky, and had the perfect amount of heat. While this was just a brief visit, we'll be back next time we're in the area! Thanks for a great experience as we kick off our evening.
Good music, decent food and perfect $10 happy hour spritzers! We liked it a lot!

Solid place, great staff, chill atmosphere
Held an event for 35 people here a few weeks ago - they knocked it out of the park. Beautiful semiprivate space, good communication and easy to work with, organized and smooth service. Standard-issue bar food and typical cocktails. I don't mean to damn with faint praise - this is not groundbreaking cuisine, nor is it supposed to be. I was specifically looking for a generic pub menu that covers every base for a group in midtown, but one **that is run well.** Most of them aren't. This one is. Go here when you're in midtown.
Perfect evening here at the dawson. Food delicious, not too crowded, dimmed lighting. Our waitress an irish girl from Galway made the experience even better. Thank You. We will be back for sure.
What made this experience so special was Amanda the bartender. Her effervescent spirit and engaging personality was infectious. I truly enjoyed my experience. The crab cakes were divine but Amanda is what made it special.
Can’t recommend highly enough. Great atmosphere, great food, great drinks. Had the sliders and a couple of drinks and it was all excellent . The waitress flirted heavily with my girlfriend and gave us something to laugh about on the walk home.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and the friendliest staff, would recommend a visit after a long day in NY!
Canadians here. A last minute trip to visit NYC with our teen boys, we randomly found this place while walking and decided to go in for lunch. Turns out, it's a great spot. It would surely become "our" local pub if we lived in the neighbourhood. A classy and chill sports bar, the decor is chic and curated all the while very comfortable. Plenty of screens for watching sports, good music when there's no big game, the lunch menu is very affordable and the pub food is on point. If one of our boys wasn't a minor, he and my husband would have gone there to watch the final Four Nations game at night. The best part? The staff!!! They tie it all together. Christine was like an old friend, making us feel naturally welcomed. On our last day, we returned. The second experience proved that what they offer is constant. Both times, my husband had his best Old Fashioned ever and Christine shared her personal recipe and method so that he can continue to enjoy it at home. I walked out with a mini mixologist crash course that will change my cocktail game. All of these little nuggets make for a solid "We'll be at Dawson's tonight".
I love this place! I would come all the time to see Christine, and now getting to see her with our new favorite Ernesto has been the best treat. They both whip up some fantastic cocktails and are great company. This place is the perfect after work spot, and a place I take all of my friends to after dinner or a show. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect nightcap to their evening!
The food was excellent, service was great, and at 2 on a Sunday afternoon we were able to walk right in and be seated.
Shepard's pie and sliders were excellent. I was hoping for Irish music but otherwise great experience.
Service was great- Troy took care of us. Cozy vibe and loved the ambiance for a casual meal and great cocktails.
I had an amazing experience at Dawson 39 Restaurant and Bar. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, stylish, and relaxed. This was the perfect place to unwind. A big shout-out to Troy, the bartender, who truly made the night. He took the time to ask what I liked, offered great suggestions, and mixed drinks that were spot on. Every cocktail he served was exactly what I was craving and it’s rare to find someone who pays that much attention to detail, and it made all the difference. Then there was Martin, who handled the music for the evening. He played everything I loved. It was like he read my mind. The playlist kept the energy perfect all night, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Between the great service, great music, and great vibe, Dawson 39 is definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Highly recommended!

Not bad place! “Fish and chips” is not very authentic, rather american style.

Loved the place only thing I didnt appreciate is the hiden price at the end. They say something cost 9 bucks but then the bill says 9.27 (example) so that wasnt cool
Great place to have dinner or drinks. I recommend all tourists to visit this place. Great music and an ideal location.
Today I visited this restaurant for the first time and was extremely disappointed. The food was terrible. The waiter recommended the hand-cut fries, saying they were made from fresh potatoes and were very tasty. We ordered three portions — truffle fries, regular fries, and hand-cut fries — but there was absolutely no difference between them. The brownie was not fresh. It was hard and clearly old. The pizza deserves a separate mention. This was not pizza at all, but a parody — basically flatbread with sauce and cheese. And the mug… that was just trash. Where is your service? Is it really that hard to properly wash and wipe a mug? Come on, this is absurd. I will never come back. A truly awful experience.
I ordered shepherds pie to go and not only was it bland and flavorless, but I was disappointed to find a very long piece of hair in my food when I got home. I have blonde braids right now and this was a long brown piece of hair. Gross.
