Opinions de The Mean Fiddler New York
My friends and I went as a group of four and did the unlimited drinks and the drinks were amazing and the food was good too. Our server Andrea was fast and attentive and we truly got our moneys worth. I wish we could have stayed longer than 90 minutes but I understand that they can get really busy. I would go again.
Food was great really taste, the atmosphere was class. All the staff were lovely especially a bartender named Finn he was great crack to chat to when he had the chance. Lovely gent, very polite and great to talk to him about ireland. Would definitely come back
Fantastic Irish bar, didn’t eat there but the drinks were fab! And what makes any bar is the staff! Big shout out to Pat, Megan, Alan and Ron, you made the experience all the nicer! Our go to bar in NYC! Highly recommend!
Came here with my girlfriends the other day and had a great time. The food was great, the drinks were great, but most memorably the service was great. Our server Catriona was the best. Always making sure our drinks were full and made sure my order was perfect because I have a few allergies, it was really appreciated. I would definitely recommend for an after work meal and drink with friends!
Had an amazing time here! The atmosphere was warm and lively, the food was spot on and the drinks were flowing lovely! Huge thanks to Angela for the friendly service and great recommendations - really made the evening special. Can’t wait to come back!
Wow! Honestly I can’t express how grateful I am to meet such wonderful people. I had an unexpected cancellation flying home to Ohio and experiencing New York for the first time ever. Of course coming to this beautiful City was on my bucket list and I got to experience kind and loving people. The staff here are truly a great time and really look out for you. I’m very impressed and honored I got to visit this wonderful Irish Bar! Anyway if your visiting and want to meet real honest people I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️
Located in Hell's Kitchen neighborhood close to Time Square in midtown Manhattan, the Mean Fiddler isn't a regular sport bar restaurant like most Irish bars in the city, it goes above our expectations. I have been a regular at this spot for almost 5 years and I had the most pleasant experience with staff, management team and security guards. It's the place where I met people from all over the world (all 5 continents) and some of them became my close friends. I also brought a few of my childhood/high school/medical friends here and they had a blast. Cool, vibrant, chill atmosphere with one of the best bartenders in NY like my friend Aaron you can see in my pics. The management really knows how to keep up with their customers, the staff truly cares about your comfort, your safety. Foods are excellent, tasty, delicious (mostly Mexican dishes) and the quality of their drinks is top notch. This cozy sport bar is in my humble opinion a night club and keep in mind, they are opened literally every day until 4am which is not the case to most spots in midtown who tend to close up early if nobody shows up from 12-2am. As a google review member, trust my words you can't go wrong with the mean fiddler. As always, be kind, be respectful to the staff, tip the bartenders if you can (as you should lol) and enjoy the moment of your life. Blessings🙏🏾 Big Shout out to my female bartenders Ash Michelle, Kaitlyn, Shovlin and Georgiana❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Thanks for being always kind!!
Great bottomless deal, $30 per person, and the entrees were spot on. Teagan was the best- she gave us amazing recommendations, was very knowledgeable about the menu and what was on special, made us feel right at home after a long work day. Thank you Teagan! I think we’ve found our new regular post-work spot 👌🏻🥂
Andrea was our server at the Mean Fiddler, and she absolutely made our night! We were celebrating my friend’s birthday with bottomless drinks, and she was friendly, attentive, and made everything run so smoothly. The bar itself has a great vibe, fun energy, and a solid drink menu. Andrea just added to the experience, making it easy to enjoy the night and have a good time. Definitely one of the highlights of our evening!
I love this place — from the food to the drinks to the staff, everything is always perfect. I’ll keep coming back again and again! Great place to eat and an even better place to end your night. Special shoutout to my favorite server, Catriona. She always goes above and beyond, making every visit feel special with her friendly energy and amazing service.
We had a fantastic time at The Mean Fiddler. The atmosphere was brilliant - lively, welcoming and full of great energy. The food and drinks were spot on and the staff were friendly and attentive. A special shout out to Tommy who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The vibe was super fun and upbeat, great music, good crowd, and amazing food and drinks. Bottomless drinks did not disappoint. Our server Catriona was amazing! Super friendly, checked on us often, and made sure we were taken care of all night. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and ask for Catriona, she’s the best!
Omg, what an experience! We were in the Big Apple on Friday for a broadway show, Amazing! Stumbled across a cute little bar near time square, called the mean fiddler and best of all it’s an Irish bar! We had a great night and many Irish drinks, to top it all off they have real Irish staff. We were talking to a barkeep called Finnton or Finn, a true Irish man! 10/10 would recommend this bar to people of all ages!! (21+ hehe)
I recently visited the Mean Fiddler and it was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. What really stood out was the service provided by Tommy. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome and looked after us the entire evening. His attention to detail, friendly attitude, and ability to recommend the perfect drinks really made the experience memorable. Huge thanks to Tommy and the team for making our night so enjoyable—I’ll definitely be coming back!
This was a great discovery for us. Irish pubs nvr miss. Staff were quick and attentive. The FRENCH FRY NACHOS are freaking amazing. Their food is top notch! Highly recommend
Went to the Mean fiddler for the first time and wow, what an amazing bar. What made it so good in particular was the bartender, Megan. A lovely Irish girl with an enthusiastic personality. Megan, you made our night! Thank you
Although we weren’t a fan of one of our entrees Neil was quick to rectify the situation. Me and my best friend had bottomless drinks with our food and everything was fabulous. Thank you to our server and Neil for making our experience better. I highly recommend coming here. The music was so fun and we had a great time!
Had a great time here , food excellent 😋 prices very reasonable especially happy hour😜 ,and staff extra friendly and welcoming. Elisa went out of her way to make sure everything was good for our party of 4. 😃
Absolutely awesome bar. We did the bottomless cocktails which was worth every penny. Our waitress was really on it with the service to help us get the most out if our time slot. The food was pretty good but its the service and atmosphere that makes this plsce great. A must for a fun night out.
Such a great spot! The atmosphere at The Mean Fiddler was awesome. Drinks were excellent, and the staff were super welcoming. Huge shoutout to Tommy, who really went above and beyond. He was so friendly, quick with service, and had some great drink recommendations. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Give this man a raise!!
Touring around America with some friends, and stopped into this beautiful place! Service was absolutely fabulous - and a charming young man named Finn provided our group with the upmost skill, talent and respect - and charm 😅. Was absolutely astonished with the way he knew the cocktails so well - and gave us a proper experience instead of just serving! Definitely would go again, and recommend to all nearby tourers 🙌
Joceline was an absolute Latina queen. From the moment we arrived, she brought so much warmth, personality, and genuine care to our table. She was attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and every little detail was handled with charm and confidence. You can tell she truly loves what she does — she made us feel welcome, looked after, and honestly made the whole experience better. Exceptional service from an exceptional woman. Thank you, Joceline!
Such a fun and lively spot in the heart of Midtown! The vibes were amazing — great music, friendly staff, and the energy of the place was contagious. The food and drinks were on point, and everything came out fast and fresh. Perfect place for a night out with friends or pre-theater drinks. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
Came in not really knowing what to expect, but the live music totally blew us away. There was an Irish girl singing—unreal voice, so much energy, and just knew how to work the room. She had the whole place singing along. It really made the night. Between the music, the crowd, and the vibe, it felt like a little slice of Ireland right in the middle of NYC.
Came to visit New York with my girlfriend for our anniversary and I have to say the mean fiddler was the best experience we had in a bar. The Irish bartender Finn was hilarious and recommended us the “chilled to the bone” which looked so cool in the skull glass and had to be the best cocktail I’ve tried. There was also a great atmosphere and overall an incredible experience, will definitely be back.
This was the first bat I visited here for my 21st birthday and it was honestly the coolest bar out of all the bars I went to. Vibes are great and the music is awesome. Finn was our bartender for a couple nights and he is hands down the best. I had so much fun and I can’t wait to visit NY again and come back here.
We went there because it was close and had good reviews. It has several different specials and drink options, so when we explained it was out first time there everyone was so excited. We ended up only having only 1 round of drink but decided to buy a souvenir t-shirt. Teagan went above and beyond to explain how the specials worked, welcome us, and find the right tshirt for us. We will definitely come back next time in town.
The best J1 bar – in the Heart of NYC! The Mean Fiddler is hands down the best Irish bar in New York — no messing. I’ve done three J1s in the city, and this place was always the go to. The tunes, the atmosphere , the crowd were always great. Landed a job here on my last J1 and honestly, I was absolutely buzzing. The staff are super friendly, (proper legends) and the atmosphere is always hopping. Whether you’re just in for a pint, some grub, or a mad one, the vibes are always 90 and your always bound to have a good night. The food is 10/10 , the drinks are spot on, and the whole place just has that deadly Irish buzz. If you’re over in New York, you have to call in. Couldn’t recommend it more. Don’t walk …. RUN to the fiddler.
Came here to have a few drinks with friends. Ended up staying for a long time because we were having so much fun. We thought it was so cool that our server was actually from Ireland! His name was Liam and he was so kind. He even cleaned up my water that I spilled. Make sure you ask for him if you stop by!
The EX-Presso is the kind of cocktail that proves some exes do come back better than before. This flirtatious little number starts strong with vodka, sweeps you off your feet with bold espresso, smooths things over with creamy Baileys, and then just when you think you’ve got it figured out, hits you with a sweet strawberry finish. It’s rich, it’s playful, and it’s got just enough attitude to keep things interesting. Think of it as your Valentine’s rebound drink: dark, tempting, a little messy, and absolutely unforgettable. Perfect for sipping while locking eyes across the bar or dramatically declaring your love for caffeine and cocktails in equal measure. Warning: may cause sudden heart flutters, questionable text messages, and the realization that this is the healthiest relationship you’ve had all year. 💋❤️ If love were a cocktail… it would definitely taste like The EX-Presso.
Absolutely loved my experience thanks to Megan, who brings serious attitude (the good kind) to the bar. Her Irish charm comes with a wickedly sassy edge—quick wit, sharp comebacks, and zero tolerance for nonsense, all delivered with a grin. She pours a flawless drink while roasting you just enough to make it fun, not fatal. Megan’s sass is half the entertainment, and it’s clear she runs the bar with confidence and character. If you want great drinks served with personality and unapologetic Irish sass, she’s the reason to come back. 🍀🥃
We had such a great time! And the food was surprisingly good! In a place like this you assume you’re paying for the vibe and the food takes a back seat. Not here! We enjoyed everything we ate! It was packed and at no point were we left waiting. Our server was always on point. The table was always clean and cleared. The DJ was great! Will definitely be back! Order the B52 shots!
In NYC for the holidays, my husband and I searched for top bars in Midtown and came across The Mean Fiddler. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an extremely polished and professional security host, which immediately made us feel welcome and set the tone for the night. Service was fast, the servers were informative and genuinely sweet, and the holiday decor was warm and festive without feeling overdone. It was a perfect weekend night out before Christmas. We will absolutely recommend this spot whenever friends are in town!
We didn’t have food so can’t comment on that but in saying that we haven’t had one bad meal since we got here so I’m sure the food is good - some people are just plain fussy! 10/10 for the craic, atmosphere and staff. The location was perfect. Pat was amazing and welcoming, fella from Trim behind the bar - top class along with other staff. You can’t go wrong with an Irish bar and the amount of different nationalities there the night we were there just shows what kind of pub the place is and you can’t beat the Irish! 🇮🇪
Drinks were great like usual! I had the apple cider margarita and it was really good. I love margaritas and i wanted to try something new and festive since it's Halloween themed right now. Alyssa was amazing, she was our bartender! Very attentive and friendly. This is my second time coming and will be back in January for more!

I had such a great experience making a reservation thanks to Liv. She was incredibly kind, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions without rushing me at all. She made the whole process easy and stress-free. Excellent customer service—thank you, Liv!
The bottomless drinks were 10/10 and so worth doing. Their cocktails were decorated amazingly and also tasted amazing. Their sign “the fiddler made me do it” lives up to the name because we stayed the whole night, the workers were on the bar giving out free shots! It was such a fun night out with the girls! Deffo recommend going!!
Liv was the greatest hostess I ever had. Greeted me with a smile and led me to my table with so much love. I love it here and I will be coming back just to see Liv.
Great Irish-themed atmosphere with such a fun vibe. The DJ doesn’t take requests, but honestly, the setlist was really good, so we didn’t even mind. We all had an amazing time. The prices are reasonable considering it’s in a great area, and getting in was pretty easy compared to other places in New York where it can feel almost impossible. It definitely became one of my favorite spots. I would absolutely come back.
(09/26/25) It was parent's night out/birthday celebration. Let me just say its been years that I haven't been to the Mean Fiddler. (In my late 20s I was there a lot hahaha sigh good times, anywhooo) I loved the Halloween ambiance they had going on especially their drink menu. Great choices by the way! We ordered margaritas, APPLE CIDER MARGARITA and AUTUMN SPRITZ! (Yum!!!!) It's from their fall drink menu. We didn't eat much but we did order mozzarella sticks and it was so cheesy, we enjoyed it! Our bartender was very attentive and the service was top notch. Other customers that were there were also enjoying themselves as much as we did. The DJ that night was bringing it back with old school music and had everyone dancing. It was such a great night that we even met an amazing couple from Texas. I definitely want to go back and do their bottomless everything ha! :) see you guys soon!
Stopped in while visiting the area and had such a great experience! Liam was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome even though we were just passing through as tourists. He had great recommendations and checked in at the perfect times without ever being overbearing. Honestly, service like that makes a place memorable. Really glad we decided to stop here!
Absolutely love it here! We always find ourselves coming back to the great food and even better drinks. The Halloween decoration makes it super festive and cute for pictures along with the themed drinks. Our server Leah was super attentive and sweet. She truly made our night. Highly recommend ‘The Mean Fiddler’!
Leah and Jocelyn were the absolute greatest servers we have had! We came for our friends birthday and they made her feel like a QUEEN! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and we will be back next year for the 3rd year in a row! Come here for birthday celebrations it will not disappoint!!!
My cousin and I had brunch, here, last week. The drinks and the food were great, but the service was even better! Our server Leah deserves 20 stars! I even told my friends about this place as they will be visiting from DC. I told them to ask for Leah! She was patient, kind, and attentive. My cousin and I cannot wait to come back. This place is perfect for a girls brunch.
I had fun we arrived at noon before 2 pm theater. We did the $30 all u can drink for 90 minutes that was fun. Has that New Orleans or Amsterdam party vibe. Food was okay. Your going for the fun but food was accetable typical bar type food. The Grinch theme was fun around Christmas. The waitress she said she started in October this year with Black hair she was so fun fun and supportive with the drink and food choices. Glad we went.
I thought I left a review about this place but if I did and I'll say it again this place is a New York City local spot I try not to say too much about it because I love this place but honestly if you go it's a great environment great food great music especially the best service in New York City they are very much a place to go
I took my first date with someone yesterday and she knew about this place so we went there. It was amazing. The people who work there was so nice, especially Andrea. She was such a sweetheart and a very beautiful young woman. She was so amazing to me and my date and also gave us a free shot. The drinks was amazing. My first time trying a mojito. They made it so good. Definitely going back there next time. Thank you for everything Andrea you are amazing ❤️
Solid place in NYC. We went and they had the whole bar decorated for Halloween and the atmosphere was really cool. Food was good, something for everyone and so e really fun creative drinks. The DJ was playing all the millenial hits and the gworls were having a time! Great place for great vi bes.
Had an amazing time! We got the bottomless Boos!! Our beautiful server Leah was so great and gave us perfect Halloween themed drink recommendations! She was so attentive and kept checking on us to make sure we had the best experience!! Amazing atmosphere such cool Halloween season decorations, food was great too! Definitely coming back!
I had the absolute best time at this bar thanks to Angel! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, the drinks were perfectly made, and the service was beyond amazing. Angel went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made the night so memorable. You can tell they really care about making guests feel at home. Highly recommend this spot, and definitely ask for Angel when you go!
The Mean Fiddler is a lively Irish pub that offers delicious and large-portioned bar fare and amazing cocktails!! Their food is very reasonably priced despite the large portions, and they offer a great bottomless drinks dinner offer for $25 (during the week) or $30 (weekend) which gives you unlimited drinks for 90 mins. The atmosphere is always lively and upbeat, so it is always a great place to visit for a good time!!
Great Vibes, Delicious Food & Exceptional Service I had a fantastic night at this place!, a spot that truly delivers on every front. Whether you're coming for the drinks, the food, or the atmosphere, this place hits all the right notes. But what really made the night stand out was the incredible service especially from Alan, the manager. He was warm, welcoming, and on top of everything. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests having a great experience. His attention to detail and hospitality made the night feel personal and polished.
I had seen lots of reviews online about The Mean Fiddler, so we decided to finally check it out today. We went during the day, and it was pretty quiet and relaxed which I actually enjoyed. I imagine the place gets livelier at night, especially since it seems more of a night spot, but the daytime vibe was very chill. Our server was super friendly and welcoming. The drinks were really good though I did feel like they weren’t very strong in terms of alcohol content. Still, they were well made and tasted great. I also ordered a burrito bowl, and the food was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, and I think it would be a great spot to go back to in the evening for a livelier vibe. Since today was a Sunday, I expected it to be a bit busier, but it was very calm. All in all, I had a great experience!!!
Headed to Mean Fiddler for their Grinchmas Brunch and had a good time as always. Although the music selections were not as festive as they normally are and the whole place was way too dimly lit, this experience is still a fun way to do a brunch with friends during the holidays. $30 bottomless drinks that were yummy, festive, and always flowing. With 90 minutes to eat and drink, you can certainly have a great time and get your money's worth. Be sure to make an RSVP early because this is a fun NYC staple during the holidays and wear your Christmas sweaters!
This is it. This is the spot in Time Square that you want to go to and meet people and just have a good time. For the most part, the DJ plays good music.. just keep in mind who their crowd usually is. Drinks are reasonably priced. Restrooms aren't the best but manageable. You're gonna have a good time.
This was such a fun place! The food was solid, drinks were tasty, and the vibes were great. A solid selection of music, and our bartender Pauly(I believe this is his name), was awesome! We felt very welcomed and were able to talk with some staff members who knew our old friend Joe who used to work their. All around a good place to stop in!
Loved the vibes, but the service was pretty mid. We waited about 25 minutes before a server came over, and there was no quick check-in or “I’ll be with you soon.” The place isn’t very big and there seemed to be enough staff, so the wait was confusing. Food was just okay, and the smash grilled cheese was surprisingly sweet
We went on a date here for the first time. Honestly I will say its definitely based on preference, the music was just way to loud I like loud music too but we couldn’t even hear our server, this is just a get drinks and go bar, not a sit down and eat, the food was okay definitely good to eat when your tipsy but thats about it. We got the $30 bottomless drinks deal and these drinks were cute but honestly just too sweet to have more then 2-3 drinks 😭. Our server was nice but just be aware they have automatic gratuity for seating so for 2 people expect to give them a big tip if you want to or not.
I didn't have a nice experience here. First time visiting from out of town. It is a cool place with good 90s music but i couldn't get any service. Young bartenders acting like they didn't see me and would ask people coming up next to me at bar what they wanted to drink and i had been standing there 5 plus mins.
I’ve been to this place many times over the years, I always had a good time with good drinks and food. I’ve fluctuated from vegetarian to pescatarian for years and never had a problem eating here. However I made a reservation ready to have another good time, and I came to see a new menu with absolutely nothing for me to eat. I was already with my family and wasn’t going make them get up to go somewhere else. Ended up getting a $20 bowl of rice and beans. I know restaurants change and update menus, I’m just disappointed there’s not one vegetarian or pescatarian dish. I used to love the cauliflower wings & fish tacos too. Do better please!
We did the bottomless drinks, the server only came by once and asked if we needed another round… so is it really bottomless when you don’t come around to give us another round? Very tricky and low class experience here. We ordered two entrees for brunch and two bottomless, they automatically included tips. So the total was around $160. I would definitely avoid this spot
I was turned away for being in sweat pants? Which is crazy because the place isn't fancy at all, it's a standard Irish bar, nothing special. Seems to be really bad for business, and bad for vibes in general, I was surprised by the exclusivity in what looks barely nicer than a dive bar restaurant. I work at a place where I interact with hundreds of tourists every day and I'm never recommending it again.
While enjoying a night out with my friend, i suggested we go to the mean fiddler to get some drinks. Ended up on the woo woo first since we had never been. We entered, sat at the bar with no problems, nobody mentioned our clothes or any dress code. When my friend decided she wanted something sweet we decided to go over and see if the mean fiddler had anything sweet. When we went to the bouncer (bouncer in the second picture) to check our IDs, we got turned away because of slides that we have on. This is not the first time that we had been turned away, the first time we only had a picture of our ID and we were informed those were not accepted. Which we understood and left. Before we continue the story i would like to mention me and my friend are both black women. Back to today, when we went and we got turned away, we left and tried to figure out the next spot. When i glanced back, there are these group of white girls who had on SLIDES and every single one of them showed a PICTURE ID. When my friend went to the bouncer to ask why they were let in and not us, he was stumbling over his words and couldn’t give us a clear answer but did say something of them working there?? The questions he was asking them was not the questions you ask your coworkers. It’s the question you ask any visiting customer. He also was telling one of his white coworker who apparently is the Owner ( I think his name is Pat) of the establishment that we must hate black men??? Anyways we tried to go back to the woo woo to speak to someone because it was clear the bouncer had an issue with us and when we tried buzzing in, they had denied us access. Once the security guy (guy from first picture) from the woo woo came out he was also confused on what the issue was and went to speak to someone. Because again we had caused no issue, got a drink, tipped the bartender and left even making jokes on how we will be back. Once he spoke to the mangers which ended up being the bouncer from the from the mean fiddler. He basically started acting weird and not letting us speak and just said that he’s following his mangers word and we aren’t allowed back in. He also stated how if we were men then this would have been resolved quickly but we are pretty girls. I’m sure he meant that he would have resolved the issue with violence… I honestly don’t know what he was trying to say with that. It’s crazy how this establishment and the bouncer for the mean fiddler is so willing to bend the rules and policies for your white customers. The main issue isn’t the policies they have but bending them to only apply to black peoples apparently. If you’re a POC avoid this place like the plague. It’s obvious we are not the demographics they are looking for.
I’ve celebrated my birthday at The Mean Fiddler for the past four years, and up until now, it’s always been one of my go-to spots for drinks, food, and a fun night out. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won’t be returning. When I arrived, the security guard looked me up and down repeatedly — easily eight times — clearly trying to find a reason not to let me in. I was told I couldn’t enter because I was “wearing sweatpants,” even though I was literally wearing satin pants. Meanwhile, my friend walked right in wearing UGG slippers and socks with no issues at all. No offense to my friend, but I was definitely more dressed up — the only difference between us was her size. In my opinion, the way the guard treated me felt fat-phobic and completely unfair. Pictured are the pants that I was wearing with a nicer shirt because I know how to present myself. You can clearly see that they are not sweatpants. The staff’s attitude overall was rude and dismissive. After years of being a loyal customer, I’ve never felt so disrespected, and I won’t be celebrating here again.
I had received a recommendation for this place by a coworker and was unfortunately left extremely disappointed by their lack of effective communication. I made a reservation for 6 for my birthday well over a week in advance where they had plenty of time to make a) their dress code known and b) their policy regarding IDs. I received a text day of the reservation to confirm details and for the first time since making the reservation, mention the dress code, and to bring ID. However, we were coming from a separate event and had we known there was a dress code, as it’s not mentioned on their website anywhere, I simply would not have made the reservation and had to inform everyone in my party to bring a change of clothes last minute. Second, the wording in the text they sent was very vague, just “Bring ID”. This text was only sent to me, the host, so I brought ID. Unfortunately one of the members of our party had had her wallet stolen prior to this, and did not know that a picture of her ID would not be deemed acceptable, again, because this information is nowhere on their website. I’d like to add that for serving alcohol, I’m well aware this isn’t normally an acceptable form of ID, but this was just to dine at the restaurant/be let in with my group. The bouncer tried to insist that the text was sent to all of us, it was not, its only sent to the host, and the wording is unclear. “Everyone in the party must show a physical ID” would have been clear, but that was not what was sent. These are also all guests very clearly over the age of 21, and pointing to the sign on the door, again, the information on which is not available on their website anywhere, does not legitimize the fact that the information on it was not presented in a timely manner prior to the reservation, nor in an effective one, and it does not help that he was extremely rude. We quickly assessed that this was not an establishment with a vibe that anyone wants to have their birthday dinner at and left, they had no other guests waiting outside, so they lost a 6 top because their bouncer was rude and because they don’t have their information displayed in a way that anyone can access it before making a reservation. We found a lovely restaurant within a couple blocks that was so kind, didn’t rush us or limit us to a 90 minute seating window, and had a great time. It’s also worthwhile to note that other reviews mention racial profiling of certain guests and not allowing them in based off the “dress code” while letting other guests slide. Since it truly seems up to the bouncers discretion regardless of whether or not you made reservations, I simply wouldn’t take the risk that he deems your group “acceptable” and find someplace else.
One of the worst dining experiences in NYC. The music is EXTREMELY too loud!! You have to scream at the waitresses and each other at your table and still have to repeat yourself at least twice to be heard. The waitresses were VERY dismissive - never checked on you, set something down abruptly and turned and walk away without you being able to ask a question. Asked for bilmanagement. rudely dropped it off, and abruptly walked away. We had to take our money to the bar and lay it beside the waitress and she NEVER acknowledged us!! The food was very hot and quality was good. The ONLY positive staff was the gentleman who cleared the table. He was polite and attentive. Margaritas were $10 per the thing on the table but was charged $14 and couldn't even get the waitress to dispute it. Overall gives the impression of poor management.
I left the pub feeling nauseous and not because I drank too much but because there were roaches crawling around. If you want a Halloween spooky experience, nothing will creep you out more than roaches crawling around. The food was disgusting, we barely touched it & after we complained we got 2 free green tea shots, no discount on our bill. I have never experienced such a disgusting restaurant in my entire life. Please stay away. If roaches were crawling on the walls imagine the kitchen.
