Opinions de Tiki Chick New York
So at first glance this place is captivating. walked by with a friend and saw a waitress bringing this creamy drink to someone. I couldn’t resist it; step inside to this tropical space with a tropical vibe in the upper west side of Manhattan. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Ordered a Rum Runner which is Jamaican rum, red currant, banana slices, orange, lime and nutmeg (Incredible). + the Creamy drink i saw which is a really good Piña Colada! Definitely come by this place if you’re in the area.
Hawaiian-themed bar in upper west side. Really great ambience (fits the theme well) and great for dates. The drink prices are what you expect for NYC (roughly $15/per excluding tax and tip). The vibes here are really good and servers are super friendly. Definitely a younger crowd with a few older folks mixed in. The drinks are definitely worth the price. We got a pina colada and a zombie drink. The zombie was very strong (bang for buck) and the pina colada was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend getting that one if you go. Overall a solid bar with awesome drinks. $5 sandwiches (they price their drinks to compensate) if you’re hungry for a snack.
Love the chicken sandwiches!! Great value. Atmosphere is great too! Awesome place for a late night bite.
Chicken sandwich for $5? It is way better than those other chicken places. I think they're mostly focused on their drinks, but these sandwiches are just great. I had the one with upside-down pineapple cake bun. My boys tried their more standard bites. It was a perfect morsel after spending the morning riding bikes and attending the natural history museum.
Cute tiki bar with cheap chicken sandwiches! The sandwiches are $5 and the drinks are delicious. My favorite is the pickle painkiller!
We love Tiki Chick! This is our second date here and we love the atmosphere, drinks, and food. Our bartender, Natalia, is just the sweetest and our drinks are absolutely delicious. The Pink Wave chicken sandwich is super yummy and every drink we had was strong and tasty. Cannot wait to come back. Thank you, Natalia, for the fun Tuesday date!!
Great location for delicious strong drinks and chicken sandwiches. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, the vibes and decor are dope. The crew is super kind. It does get busy sometimes, so be patient with the servers! and it’s okay to politely signal or walk over and ask for help if you’re waiting a bit. They will attend you almost immediately and make amazing recommendations. My friend and I had a blast. I strongly recommend Tiki for a good time.
Tiki Chick on the upper west side is REALLY urban get away. This was the first of a coming many visits because the drinks are not only creatively-visually appealing but will definitely get you there! There is an array of fried chicken sandwiches that are great(why even think about popeyes) and any will go well with their pinacolda or Singapore Sling. Their special shark cocktail is ideal for any coconut fans that see this review as well. There also is a special Navy Strength frozen drink with spiced rum that is strong (navy Strength) but tasty. Finally the environment as a whole is a good get away solo to cool down, for a group, or especially for an impressive date !
A little different atmosphere than other tiki bars, it's just a fun place that doesn't take itself seriously. They have movies on a wall, and full on bar, with seating outside as well. The sandwiches are fantastic and only $5 each. We ordered the Mai Tai, siren song, zombie, POG, Caipirinha, and shark snacks. Enjoyed everything. Don't worry about waiting outside, the line will move quickly.
This bar is awesome!! When you visit, definitely get any of the chicken sandwiches for $5. I tried the hot honey sandwich and it was delicious and spicy! The drinks are worth the money too because they are pretty big and very strong. The vibe inside is nice too. There’s plenty of room to sit, the lighting sets the mood too, and the music was very chill. Coming back again for sure !
Celebrated my birthday here with friends! While we were walking around the upper west side, it started to downpour rain, so we ran into the closest bar for shelter- and stumbled upon this unassuming Tiki Bar! Definitely did not disappoint!! The bouncer was very friendly and even found 3 seats at the bar for us. The bartender greeted us promptly, suggested drinks, and we were on the way to what turned out to be a great night! Highly recommend the Zombie drink! Your can only order 1 per person per visit because of the high alc % from the absinthe, but it was served “flair style” garnished with a half lemon set to fire. That was a fun “birthday cake”. I look forward to returning in the warmer months! The vibe and music was great!!
The best place in NY. Get a Navy Pina Colada and ask for Shana and Kraig we sit by the window🎉🎉🍍 Good hot honey chicken sandwich too🔍
Cheap sandwiches are so worth it. Drinks $15 and u got a bunch of options. Perfect place for the combo amongst quirky seating.
When I heard Jacob’s Pickles was opening a tiki bar, I knew I had to check it out. Luckily, Tiki Chick opened just in time for my birthday. I went with two friends on a Sunday afternoon/evening and it was relatively crowded at first (but not body to body). It slowed down as the evening progressed but there was always a great crowd inside. The inside is charming. It’s definitely a tiki bar, from the wallpaper to the chairs to the fans. It definitely feels like a warm little oasis in a cold NYC. The waitress overheard it was my birthday and brought me a Blue Hawaiian on the house, which was a nice surprise! I really liked it - it was sweet and I enjoyed the flecks of coconut and honey on the glass. I also ordered the Chicks on a Holiday which came in a decorative pineapple glass. I loved this drink - it tasted like a mojito with a more fruity twist and distinct, colorful layers. My friends got the Shark Snacks and the Saturn and also really enjoyed them - one called the drinks “divine”. One of my friends did order one of the $5 chicken sandwiches, the Hot Honey which she said was a great bar snack. Overall, the drinks were delicious (about $15 a pop) and we loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!
Fantastic experience at this Tiki Bar, I seek out tiki bars nationwide and this was a really fun one. Not as dark as others, open to the street with street side seating. But some of the strongest drinks I've had. The hot honey chicken sandwich for$5 is a steal and helps you drink that much more! Highly recommended!!!
This place was great! Awesome vibes, strong tasty drinks, and friendly service. Came here with two friends and we only got a few drinks so I can’t speak for the food. We got out drinks pretty quickly and enjoyed them very much. I thought the prices were pretty standard for the area. Would recommend coming here, I’d definitely come back and try some food next time.
This is my 7th stop on the my National Tiki tour and I was not disappointed by anything! Berto the Tikitender is very friendly, really into the culture and makes great drinks. He created the Once a Pond a Time in Mexico which is a perfectly balanced and delicious creation. The environment is perfect 👌, so many cool little details. I would say it's Art Deco Tiki. The chicken sandwich stands on its own, if this was just a chicken sandwich place, it would be very successful. Amazing true to name Tiki Bar. Live it up Tiki Heads.
The place is a freaking VIBE !!!! Love love love the decor is trendy and plenty of photo oops and the drinks are super fun !!! They absolutely play off of the name very well and the food is sensational!! That hot honey sandwich is full of soo much flavor ! The bartender was super sweet too and explained all the drinks to me
If you're looking for a place to kick off your summer, Tiki Chick on the Upper West Side is a fantastic choice. With $15 fun, strong tiki drinks, it's easy to get into the vacation spirit. The $5 bites are unbelievable in both taste and value. The vegan sandwich is a hit, even a non-vegan, and the shrimp cocktail with unique Polynesian cocktail sauce boasts impressive size for the price. The cute decor and fun vibe make it an ideal spot to start your summer’s evening, or weekend festivities. Highly recommend!
The atmosphere here is great and I love the theme. All the workers were very nice. Got the hot honey slider, a tikilafal and a hurricane frozen cocktail. Everything was good. The only thing I would say is that I wish the falafel was a little bit crisper but other than that no complaints. Definitely would recommend.
This place does not disappoint! We came for the tiki cocktails and stayed for the amazing food. We are tiki snobs and the recipes held up to their original intent. They innovate and added their twists! The cocktails were on point. Small food menu but everything was delicious. We have been here multiple times and it keeps on getting better!
We had a BLAST coming here. The drinks are absolutely amazing the service is great and the food is actually delicious?!? Like I would totally go down for more hot dogs from them. We have the Lava Girl and one of their hot dogs and it was such a fun little treat. Definitely recommend!
This place is a fantastic Tiki bar! 🍹 Tiki Chick has ana amazing collection of specialty cocktails 🍸 (my favorite is the Shark 🦈 Snacks) alongside super cheap (and delicious 🤤) chicken 🍗 sandwiches! 🥪 The cocktails are out of this world 🌍 but I'd honestly come here just for the food! Definitely try at least one chicken sandwich or the hotdog! 🌭 The decor 🛋️ is super cool, the ambiance 🎶 is great, and the music 🎵 is top notch with a 90's vibe! Service is great, staff 👨🍳 is friendly, and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.🪑 I wish I came here earlier! ⏰
I had a great time here! The tiki cocktails are high quality and thoughtful. They are not your average overly sweet tiki drinks. We tried about 7 different cocktails, and each one was excellent and presented in fun tiki mugs or other creative glasses. I got a banana cocktail, and it came with slides of banana on a plate that the server sprinkled sugar on and then caramelized with a blow torch. It was not gimmicky; it was a great way to add real banana flavor to the cocktail. I had a chicken sandwich that was only $5 and perfect! The outdoor dining is plentiful and comfortable as you relax in rocking chairs. I'll be coming back for sure!
Love this place! So fun around Halloween. Happy hour is a steal given the strength of the drinks and the size of the chicken sandwiches
10 out of 10 spot!! Immaculate vibes. The people that work here are SO SWEET and so beautiful! Love hanging here with friends or a date. Be prepared to DRINK as that’s 80% of the menu. Cocktails are STRONG and delicious and plentiful. Food is the other 20% and it is the CHEAP, perfect compliment to your drinking festivities. This is the perfect UWS destination for keeping the fun going
Limited seating! Strong drinks! Great sandwiches! The vibe is GenZ college student meets Interior Design Obsessed Millennial - the decor is beautiful. The staff are social and bilingual and work fast but this place gets really busy so do expect a bit of a wait. You’ll be fine the music is great too. There isn’t really a dress code but it’s picture worthy so look cute. Hope this helps! Have fun!
**Amazing Bar Experience in NYC** I recently visited this fantastic bar in New York City, and I was blown away by the quality of the drinks and food. The cocktails are expertly crafted, offering a perfect blend of flavors that cater to all tastes. The food menu is equally impressive, featuring a variety of delicious options that complement the drinks perfectly. This bar is the ideal spot for unwinding after a long day at work. The atmosphere is inviting. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that you have a great experience from start to finish. this bar is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Great bar that I randomly stumbled upon! The drinks are super fun and refreshing, especially for the hot nyc summer. The real surprise is the dirty chicken sandwichs that you can order as a snack next to your cocktail. I tried the honey chicken sandwich and not only the size was surprising for the price, but it was just great and tasty and crunchy. Very recommended place that I'm glad I discovered.
Best bar in the UWS. Hands down, don’t come at me, I’ll fight you. Boyfriend took me here, made the mistake of ordering a piña colada on an empty stomach, proceeded to get smashed on this massive colada, and proposed to him. All the drinks are so fun! One of them had a candy necklace on it. I’ve been here so many times I’m just going to condense all visits into this one post. Go. Here. Their sandwiches are 5 bucks, better than Popeyes, I’ll fight you on that too. Decorations are AMAZING. Best tiki bar ever.
Came here tonight for their Paint N Sip and it was amazing! The aesthetic of the place is beautiful and gives tropical vibes! 😍 Drinks were great! Food is okay, overall I recommend.
Okay, seriously—who can say no to a $5 chicken sandwich and drinks that come on fire? This place has it all and feels like it’s seen it all. It’s got that chaotic, offbeat tiki-bar energy in the best way possible. The drinks are strong, the vibe is loud and fun, and the bartenders always bring the energy. It definitely gets crowded and busy, so be ready for a packed house—but honestly, it just adds to the atmosphere. If you’re into cheap eats, wild drinks, and a bar that doesn't take itself too seriously, I’d totally recommend this spot.
I had this place saved in my Google list for a while after seeing it in a TikTok and it did not disappoint. We came in with a large group (no booking, our fault) and we had to wait in line but it was not the worst (~15 min?) servers were very nice. The place was very crowded when we got in, it cleared a little later. The highlights are for sure their $5 sandwiches (like, amazing fried chicken sandwiches and so cheap) and the bottomless drinks (my cocktail lasted forever and they are all in the $15-18 range); they were served in these cute mugs that go with the vibe of the place. Highly recommend for a night with friends
I don't give places 5 out of 5 but the 5$ dollar sandwiches and there drinks, they are absolutely fantastic. I got the Pink Wave, the best chicken sandwich I've had, hands down. I currently go to JWU (a private culinary school in Rhode Island) and this place is fantastic, very friendly environment, and very inviting. Back to the chicken though, for 5 dollars, it is an absolute steal of a deal in NYC. The Pink Wave sauce is to die for, and I dont like pickles, but it was so good and barely could tell they were on there, what a fantastic place!
Tiki chick was such a fun spot, Jose the bartender made this an exceptional experience. I would come back just to hangout with him because the vibes there were so good. He took time to listen to us and the kind of drinks we liked. He made a great mezcal margarita and then we had a Pinot Grigio to finish off the night. We love Jose!!!
Best bar on the Upper West Side! hands down the best in town! A true neighborhood gem that never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the drinks are perfectly crafted, and the food is absolutely phenomenal, far beyond your typical bar fare. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual night out, a date, or a gathering with friends, this place always delivers. A must-visit every time you’re in the area!
I have ordered from here many times in the past, and their chicken sandwiches are to DIE FOR (especially the pink wave). Shocked that they are only $5 for the size and quality. Came here for the first time over the weekend and sat at the bar. The restaurant's decor is very fun and can almost make you forget you're in the city! We tried several of their cocktails and all were delicious. They also had a lot of non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options, which was nice. Bartender was very accommodating. Will definitely come back for happy hour or evening drinks!
MANHATTAN / Upper West Side: Looking for a fun spot with tropical vibes? Tiki Chick is a fantastic tiki-themed restaurant and bar and best of all, their outdoor seating is dog friendly! We indulged in some seriously tasty sandwiches, including the vegan tikilafel (a falafel lover’s dream) and the spicy volcano chick (crispy fried chicken with just the right kick of heat). Their massive tropical drink list is a vacation in itself, and the seasonal Spooky Chick cocktail menu adds a festive twist. The “Simply Meant to Be Mezcalita” is perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. Leashed, friendly pups are welcome in the colorful outdoor area, complete with covered and heated seating for comfort. There is also additional covered seating along the street, so there is plenty of space to relax, sip something tropical, and enjoy an affordable meal in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
The hostess was super nice! We came when it was pretty busy (6pm on a Sunday) but the wait was about 20 minutes (not bad). I got a spicy chicken sandwich and it was AMAZING! I ate it in like 2 seconds. I got an espresso martini that I wasn’t a big fan of because it was a bit too strong but overall we had a good time!
Tiki Chick’s happy hour and outdoor seating won over my heart! I highly encourage everyone to order their signature frozen drinks. They have the perfect ratio of sweetener and alcohol. The staff were very accommodating and were even so kind as to allow us to mix the frozen cocktails so we could try both at the same time. With that, we asked for a combo of the frozen hurricane and frozen piña colada and then ordered two frozen caipirinhas which were in my opinion, the BEST! They were very refreshing on a hot and humid nyc afternoon. The chicken sandwiches were fire, especially the one with hot honey!!! Overall, this place has got the vibes, the unbeatable prices, and the quality! 10/10!!!
What an absolute gem, so happy I came out of my way to try it. I loved the pickle painkiller. As both a certified pickle girl and tiki drink aficionado this was so unique and refreshing. Both texture and flavor were perfect for a frozen cocktail. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon but bar seats are first come first served so we were able to get a spot. Service was quick and all staff were friendly. Fun crown in here as well. Very reasonable prices on the drinks!
Visited on a Saturday night and loved it, the drinks are delicious and well presented at a good price for NYC. The service and atmosphere were also excellent for how busy it was! Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Only had to wait ten minutes for a table for two indoors in a packed house, with options to sit outside immediately. 5/5 would recommend traveling just to enjoy the cocktails and the $5 chicken sandwiches which are delicious and unbelievably cheap. Will be going back!
Amazing vibes here! As a family of 5 who came at restaurant open, this place had something for everyone! A limited food menu (but amazing $5 price point!) but we loved their chicken sandwiches! Creative cocktails and second to none attentive wait staff. Imagining that this bar must be quite the scene at night! So fun!
This is a cute spot. I came in with a large group, we were immediately accommodated. The temperature was right, the vibes were right and the prices were right. The drinks varied in taste but were on point with pleasure. And I love the $5 sandwiches. The weekends are when they have an extended food menu so be sure to consider that but I doubt anything here isn’t satisfying. 5 stars. I would be back and I would definitely bring more friends.
The music, decor & ambiance here is very UWS. Very nice spot, feels like an actual tiki bar outside the US. We had their mystery drink of the day which was a watermelon margarita frozen, a frozen caipirinha and two other drinks but we found that overall the drinks were a bit too sweet. Service is good but it does get very packed. Highlight for me was the chicken sandwich, $5 and delicious. Can’t be beat!
The tiki drinks here are sooo good! Potent, not overly sweet, and well made! Definitely one of the top tiki bars that I've been too. A little bit of a wait sometimes, but worth it! My favorite drink is probably the Superstition. It's fruity with a great banana essence and will give you a great buzz. Tasty and tropical! We also tried the Upside Down Pineapple Cake Chicken Sandwich. Not as sweet as I was expecting so I was pleasantly surprised. Get your dessert and meal all in one! Fun to try out and share with another person Overall, check out this bar! A little bit away from the busier areas of NYC, but also near other great establishments!
$5 Yummy chicken sandwiches! Amazing tasty drink! Fun vibes! You can’t really missed this place!!! You might need to put your name down with the host and wait a little bit. I was there Saturday night around 10.20pm and have to be on the list around 20-30min before get seated. Which is not bad. ** However, not sure if you can make reservations or it first come first serve. Please recheck with them** I ordered 2 drinks classic Pinacolada which is wry nice and Hurricane which I considered too sweet for me. All the server are welcoming, fun and pretty active in service.
My girls and I like to come here for casual tropical cocktails. The chicken sandwiches are so yummy and the price is so good! All of the drinks I’ve tried were delicious and I started to feel a lil tipsy after 2 drinks! The only hiccup I experienced was how busy it was and the staff getting our order a bit wrong, probably because it was pretty loud. Overall a cute place in a nice neighborhood!
Drinks are ok and prices are reasonable. I had 4 drinks and two chicken sandwiches. Loved the Hurricane cocktail. The hot chicken sandwich is really good. This place is really good if you need to relax and talk. Even the people you meet there make conversation with you. Will probably go again.
Love this place! My friends and I used to go a ton when we lived on the UWS. Drinks are a little pricey, but it balances out with the affordable sandwiches. Honestly, the sandwiches are amazing and worth the trip just for those!
Overall rating: 4.3 I’ve been wanting to go here ever since I heard they serve $5 chicken sandwiches! I went around 6:45 and sat at the bar. The decor is def a vibe and hardcore beach vibes holding true to the name. When I sat down, I realized there’s a happy hour on drinks until 7. I was so happy. But while the bartender saw me eventually, he didn’t actually take my order until 6:58pm 😭😭 I was so anxious!! One bartender for a large location, plus for servers is insane. I sat against the window side, and he mostly hovered around the front of the bar and the back. Basically every side except mine. Thankfully he did honor the hh & what a steal! $13 instead of $18 pina colada. It was strong tooo. It was, so, good that even though I had terrible service I’m going to come back for that pina colada. I just won’t sit in the area I sat at. The Pink Wave chicken sandwich was alright. It’s weird that it comes in a to go bag vs a plate. It was equivalent to a McDonald’s burger. Don’t come with high expectations. It’s $5 for a reason. Another odd thing about the place is that the music was random. A lot of 90s hip hop, some bops and some random. I’m surprised they don’t keep to the theme and only play reggae. They also were screening Mamma Mia that no one was watching. The place has a lot of potential but there were definitely some big misses. Total was $22 all in with tip. Recommend for a quick happy hour. I’m sure the outside experience is totally different too.
It’s good - we thought it was a resturant because of the chicken sandwiches, but it is much more of a bar. What I mean by that is that they don’t serve almost any food besides the sandwiches (and a shrimp appetizer), and also the seating is much more catered to smaller/standing parties. It took us ~1.5 hours to be seated for a party of 5 on a Friday. The chicken was good and the drinks were fun, just keep in mind that this is more bar-y and less dinner-y.
I had passed by this place a few times, and the concept of a Polynesian/Tropical inspired place intrigued me. It is a very cute establishment with nice decor, attentive staff and a twist on common cocktails. What officially made me stop by here was Jacob’s Pickles (the establishment next door)... They have built some sort of affiliation with them, because when we were told at Jacob’s there is a 45 -60 minute wait for a table during brunch, they gave us a slip and told us to go next door, and that they would give us a complimentary Piña Colada. We walked in, and they kept their word and gave us a drink, and we ordered another cocktail while we waited, and a small snack to munch on. Needless to say it is smart thinking on both establishments to draw attention and a crowd to Tiki Chick. Definitely loved it, picture worthy/IG worthy aesthetics if you’re into that.
We all love a good tiki bar. Awesome selection of different drinks to keep you cool in the summer months. They also definitely did the trick after 2. The service was a bit slow but it was understandable with only 2 bartenders and 2 servers. In my opinion, the drinks were a bit over priced but they make up for it with their affordable sandwiches. The outdoor seating since Covid was a nice change of scenery for them and adds to the vibes.
Was treated to a drink here on a Tuesday evening. I had the Saturn which was tasty. As the evening went on and more people arrived, it did get a bit overstimulating, especially with the music, but it is a bar after all. Sat in the raised seating near the bathroom stairs. Table was a bit small for the three of us despite being a 4 person table. Sophia, our server, was lovely though. Gave us time to decide, recs, and checked in on us
Nice spot. Decor is great and the ambiance is colorful. The drinks are a bit on the pricey side, but I wouldn't expect anything less in an area like that. The sandwiches are great - I'm assuming that's how they lure you (sandwiches are $5). All in all, a nice spot for a quick bite and a few drinks. Try the zombie drink if you like 151. It was great!
Really fun place! Post the birthday brunch for my husband, we finally got to try this place for more drinks. Pretty crowded during Saturday of the Labor Day weekend but we were able to have seats. We all ordered drinks but enjoyed their Pina Colada the most. Setting looks 'in character' as well as the vibe. It got too noisy inside so at some point we decided to go outside and take over the shaded side section since we were a larger group, to be able to hear each other and it worked out pretty well. At some point we wanted to try their Spam sandwich and for $5, it was pretty good and actually a proper sandwich! The rest of the drinks are a bit pricey but it's typical NYC. Service was super busy but maybe that's because of the long weekend crowd. Can't wait to go back and try their other sandwiches too. :)
+ Get $25 off using the link of my profile! The drinks are fun and come in creative glasses (apparently almost all of them look like the menu). The sandwiches are a little too salty but at $5 there’s not much to complain about. One thing is the tables are very narrow so you can’t put much on there.
The menu is really fun but the drinks are a bit overwhelming, not very flavorful. The chicken sandwich is actually a very good bargain and filling. The tables are very small and tight and the drinks are so elaborate and have such fun cups that it is a precarious event to enjoy a cocktail.
The atmosphere is great, especially on a weekend night. However, my first experience wasn't ideal. The drinks were good, but the service was lacking. It took nearly 15 minutes to get our order, and 30 minutes to get the two drinks. I know it's not the waiter's fault, but we all expect faster service, especially when no food is involved.
Stop by for a few drinks after dinner. Tiki has a good variety of cocktails on the menu. The bartender was not too sociable and could have been more observant. The first round of drinks was packed with so much ice. It was like drinking the syrup of a summertime snow cone. For the second round, I asked for less ice. Rather then put the drink in a smaller glass to make it appear you are paying $18 for a full drink, this bartender puts it in hurricane glass (see pic). Terrible presentation for a served drink to a customer because you feel short-changed. Tried explaining this to the bartender, but he was in his feelings. He looked like he was unhappy and needs to quit. Lol. Bad experience & probably will not go back.
I have been there a couple of times and I love this place - food, drinks, and ambient. However, this time we got charged for something we didn’t order. The waiter treated us 4 shots - two water and two tequila. Usually if the shots are being brought to us, those would be free and we assumed that. We checked the receipt the next day and found out that we got charged for those shots we didn’t order…..Could have ordered another drink for those two shots :(
One of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve tried! They are only $5 dollars and they have a really good selection of drinks yet the service was poor we were asked to close our tab if we were not going to order anymore and give tip without being serviced yet I did not like that we only saw the server once!
The review is centric to the front desk worker. She just handed me the menu and told me to find my own seat. And, it wasnt even busy at all. While i saw she didn't do that to anyone else who came in. The food is okay, wouldnt recommend the vegan falafel. The drink was nice. Great ambiance. But I wouldn't recommend this place, very subjective service to the people they want in their bar.
Very nice environment. Service was fine. Waiter was friendly, but my glass of water was dirty with a lip mark. I requested a change of glass, and never received it. Nice music and a projector playing a movie. Food was okay. We got the pink wave and hot honey sandwiches and fries. Drinks were nice and sweet. Mines was a bit too sweet… and I love sweet drinks... We got the piña colada and “The Pumpkin drink” in the Spooky Chick menu. The piña colada on this menu tasted like rum raising ice cream. Bathroom was nice, in theme and clean. I would just go back for the vibes alone tho🍹
Too much hype, very underwhelming. Overall experience- Long wait because they need to seat you so regardless of your party six you need to wait. When you do get a seat its unpredictable on whether it’s inside or out. We sat outside and there were mice runnings around because the restaurant flooring outside has gaps for it to hide in. Drinks were very sweet and not worth it to be honest, also took a while to come out. The sandwiches we did not try because of all the spam in it, so there are mixed reviews on that.
Was so excited to come back to Tiki Chick after visiting it two years ago. My friend and I are from Chicago and absolutely loved it when we visited back in October of 2023. We were seated right away and the service was excellent. However, this time around service was absolutely distasteful. Host seemed to be annoyed to be doing his job and basically tossed a menu at us. Basically just told us to go wherever. We were not seated anywhere and there was no standing space at the bar as well. Waitress told us we could not sit outside anymore as it was closed, even though the bar closes at 2 am. Absolutely awful experience, we left after feeling unwelcome.
