MARCO IS THE BEST!!! hidden gem! highly recommend this bar, feels like a safe space in nyc. would come back :)
Excellent wine bar on the UES. They have great options for happy hour which is always nice to have, but also amazing selection of wines and cocktails for everyone’s taste. Food is awesome, too. It is a great place to enjoy and relax but equally great for a party as well. Always a “grand time”. The staff and the owner are wonderful and make sure the patrons are satisfied and well taken care of. Highly recommended!
Great spot! We really enjoy the montepulciano! The bartenders are so fun!

5 stars – A Hidden Gem in NYC! Vero Social is an absolute standout in the city. The atmosphere is vibrant yet inviting, and the food is phenomenal—especially the Cacio e Pepe, hands down the best I’ve ever had. What truly sets this place apart is Marc, the exceptional proprietor whose warmth and hospitality make you feel like family. A must-visit spot that delivers every single time.
Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent service. The food is Italian cuisine and filled with items perfect for lunch, dinner, and/or snacking. Had the Cacio Pepe and margherita flatbread, both absolutely delicious meals. The owner often made appearances to ensure customers were satesfied and attended to. The bartender, Jay, was a fantastic server, who you could ask to mix drinks from their menu or to mix custom drinks. Jay was excellent at his craft, often mixing drinks that fit a specific meal or occasion perfectly. Overall, the atmosphere was great and the music was enjoyable. Highly recommend visitng Vero Social.
The atmosphere and decor as well as the music is completely a vibe, I had the shrimp cocktail and the Branzino and both were super delicious, the bartender J was super attentive and informative, be sure to ask him about his signature cocktails, they’re gorgeous.
The bartender/waiter was very attentive and polite. He took the time and made sure we understood the menu and was very patient with us while we decided. We did not wait long to get our drinks and food. The drinks were perfect and the food tasted great! Instagram worthy haha. I loved the ambiance and the decor it was moody with a dash of elegant. I enjoyed my experience very much.
It’s such an amazing place to have drinks and have food!! Such a chill environment and the owner Marco is great!!
Located in a Lenox Hill, this wine bar caught my eye with its inviting ambiance from the outside. Upon stepping inside, I was delighted by the elegant decor and cozy atmosphere. The selection of wines is impressive, and the full bar and kitchen add an extra layer of appeal. Since my first visit, I have made it a point to stop by whenever I am in the area, drawn in by the quality of the wines and the overall experience. This place is perfect for a romantic date, offering a lovely setting to enjoy a glass of wine with someone special. I highly recommend this wine bar for anyone looking to unwind in a sophisticated yet relaxed environment.
An amazing overall experience in this gem of a place. The cozy decor, the warm ambiance, the great craft cocktails, and the great bites were made even more special by the charm, generosity and hospitality of the staff. Chapeau!
Great happy hour food and drinks outstanding and dinner amazing!

I absolutely love everything about this place. The food is delicious, and the Albanian music is incredible. The atmosphere is amazing, and the owner is a cool guy.
Had a lovely time with family and friends ! Marco was a great host and super attentive to us.
Such a fun spot, my friends and I rolled up and it was Albanian night, super warm, loving crew
Thanksgiving weekend was made more memorable thanks to a visit to this classy little wine bar & restaurant that also serves great food. I was there Saturday the 29th of November to meet a girlfriend and Marco the bar tender/owner was an attentive server who got us taken care of. For the food we had two appetizers, the margarita flat bread and the cheese board. Well prepared, fresh and tasty. Didn't have alcohol but the ginger beers kept getting refilled by Marco! I'm glad I discovered this gem which has a modern look, great first date first venue! Also, Albanian owned and every body loves the Albanians! They had a live music band coming in when we left around 10 that we missed but I'm looking forward to coming back soon.
A real gem, unassuming from outside, but when you step inside, what a delight to the eye and the palate! The bartender is one of a kind. Ask him and he will spare no effort to make you feel like royalty! Be ready to have a memorable good time.

The owner assaulted an elderly woman who asked to turn the noise down. DESPICABLE. STAY AWAY
The owner is absolutely disgusting. I went to enjoy their happy hour by myself, chatted with the bartender and was having a nice evening. As soon as I went to the bathroom is when the issues started. I was in the bathroom for NO MORE THAN 2 Minutes and heard a banging on the bathroom door. As I was exiting I said “who banged on the door” since there was a woman standing there smiling awkwardly. The owner said “ I DID, because YOU WERE TAKING TOO LONG TAKING PICTURES IN THE BATHROOM”. I replied “how do you know what I am doing in the bathroom and how dare you rush me for another customer. I proceeded to say “ don’t ever do that again”. He replied he absolutely would do it again. I told him he was disgusting for talking and treating me like that after patronizing his business. His reply was “thanks”. I will never go there again. He is a disgusting human.
Owner may not be a racist misogynist but he acted like one when he interrupted a woman simply trying to use the restroom and accused her of taking pictures too long. As a Black woman, I simply would not spend here because of how I might be treated. I hope since the owner finds that treatment acceptable that he or some other man treats his mother, sisters and daughters the same.
The business IS NOT BLACK OWNED (although he has verbally stated that it is)... and he treats POC females customers horribly in preference for non-POC customers when attempting to use the restroom. In particular, I would be very suspicious of the female bathroom... may have hidden cameras. Assumptions should not be made when a business only has ONE BATHROOM. Patronize at your own risk.
Bar is terrible smells bad expensive drinks and staff that is on a power trip
Very sad how the owner thinks it is ok to speak unkindly to paying customers, raise his voice, overcharge, not disclose extra charges, and be an overall unkind soul. You don't have to prove who's boss as a business owner. You can just be nice, have the desire to work with people, or simply choose another industry. We spent our birthday with you, and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had. Try to be compassionate to others.
We came for an after dinner drink. The most horrible owner of this restaurant threw us out, (3 women)over the cup of tea he couldn’t offer. He was trying to convince us that in Italy nobody drinks tea after dinner. Two of my friends were Italian, and I myself lived in Italy for some years. So we know better. He then told us that the restaurant is closed for us. When we were leaving being upset of course, he cursed at us shouting and calling us names in front of the whole restaurant. The most embarrassing and horrible experience in my life.
Update: After reading the owner’s response, it’s clear they’d rather insult customers than take accountability. It’s very rare I give 1 star reviews but given the way we were treated both in person and online, I felt it was important to share my experience. They claim there was a flyer for this “party,” yet there was no flyer anywhere on their Instagram or Facebook for 11/13. Instead of addressing what happened and apologies they chose to belittle me, accuse me of being “in my feelings,” and even end their message with “I hope and pray that you do better in life.” That alone should tell you everything about how they treat patrons. Also, if there really was a reservation-only party, why were we seated and served with zero notice? You don’t take walk ins, serve them drinks, then suddenly rush them out. It completely contradicts the owner’s explanation. ——————————————— BEWARE IF YOU’RE POC. My friends and I stopped by this bar after dinner for cocktails, and the experience was honestly uncomfortable. We ordered a lychee martini from the bartender (pictured), but it was completely watered down and oddly had orange in it nothing like a real lychee martini. What really bothered us was the treatment. The bartender barely acknowledged us the entire time, and then abruptly tried to rush us out at 10:15 pm, claiming he had a “9:30 reservation” even though the bar had multiple empty seats and it was way passed 9:30 (lied as it was past 10 pm). We were the only POC in the room, yet the white girls next to us who’d been there longer than we had were not asked to leave. Neither were the other non POC groups who had been seated even earlier. The difference in treatment was hard to ignore. If you don’t want watered down drinks and to feel like you’re being treated as less than, I’d skip this place.
The bartender was letting customers smoke inside, so if you’re a smoker, this is definitely the place for you. Unfortunately, I don’t smoke, so it wasn’t really for me. Drinks were ok by the way.

Came to this bar with my friends randomly because it was close by but I wouldn’t bother coming in if I were you. It’s weird that we, the only Asian people in the bar, were asked to leave for a party that supposedly started an hour beforehand. There were people who came in before and after us, who sat scattered around the bar, given the same menu and the same drinks, yet we’re the only ones who get our tabs automatically closed out and asked to leave? Mind you the bartender barely came to talk to us. If you look at all the reviews too it seems like this is a common occurrence. I sure hope this is just miscommunication of some sort but based on the owner’s replies you can tell this is the type of establishment that takes zero responsibility or accountability. I can only pray that they find the right way in this beautiful diverse city 🙏
To Vero Social Management, I live in the residence directly above your establishment and am writing to formally document an ongoing and entirely unacceptable issue with excessive noise originating from your venue. Despite repeated complaints from myself and other residents, the music and crowd noise on Friday and Saturday nights routinely continue until 5:00 a.m. This is not a minor inconvenience—it is a blatant disregard for the people who live above and around your business. Expecting residents to tolerate nightclub-level noise through the early morning hours is unreasonable, disruptive, and indefensible. The fact that this behavior continues after multiple complaints suggests not ignorance, but indifference. It is difficult to understand how a business operating in a mixed-use building can so consistently fail to respect basic standards of coexistence. Let me be clear: the next occurrence will result in immediate noise complaints being filed, and I will continue to report each incident until the issue is resolved. If this pattern persists, I will also escalate the matter publicly and through all appropriate channels. This situation should have been addressed long ago. I expect immediate and lasting corrective action.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The bartender/owner openly allowed people to smoke cigarettes inside without saying a word. When I confronted the staff about it, a coworker jumped in to defend them, saying they were “from the UK” as if that’s an excuse to break the law here. Then they accused me of “making a scene” for pointing it out. On top of that, I became suspicious they were doing drugs in the back after the bartender/owner handed out straws and had them go into the kitchen one by one. When they came back out, they were noticeably hyped up. I saw the owner’s comment on another review claiming “nobody has met the owner.” I may have met the owner or I may not have, but I can say with 100% certainty they only seem interested in serving Caucasian customers, and they look down on women and people of different races. If the owner disagrees with this, reviewing the security camera footage might help clear things up. Between the smoke, the attitude, and the shady behavior, it’s no wonder the place is empty. Avoid this place at all costs.
