Amazing and consistently delicious indian food - probably our favorite in New York City and my fiance and I return monthly. I've taken family members (who were born in india) and they all love the place and say its the place that comes the closest to serving food they get back home. Really friendly staff as well.

My birthday dinner at moti mahal was an evening to remember. The dishes, chana masala, chicken makkni were a treat. Truly a sumptuous meal. All credit goes to the master chef AZAD who churned out there mouth watering dishes. My fifth visit to this place. Will surely visit again. Cheers.

We found that place by coincidence while we were going to another restaurant and we decided to go in and try because the place looked nice! This was one of the best places I've ever been to! 1st of all the place is so cozy and the decorations are very simple and comfortable. 2nd the service is an A+ , very polite and helpful and the food came very fast 👌🏻 Last but not least , the food was just perfect, very flavourful and cooked just to perfection! I told my wife this place will be a destination every time we crave indian food. I strongly recommend this place to everyone.

Their lunch buffet menu is quite tasty!! Their non stop customer service is on point. The moment you enter the door you are greeted seated and served drinks. The array of food lentils, spicy cauliflower, buttered creamy chicken, stewed lamb, spinach and cheese. Everything was delicious! They rrefill your plates even before they reach the bottom. Friendly & quick staff. Will definitely frequent again.

Great place for Indian cuisine lunch in east midtown. Has variety of options for a decent price. Appetizers are good. Different kind of buffet where you don't go and pick food but is actually brought to the table. Only thing is it's little far for midtown.

The place is beautiful. The food is authentic and delicious. Always love the paneer dishes, and chicken dishes. ALWAYS love the breads.

Upper End Indian restaurant with tasty dishes that are on the expensive side given the small quantities served. Although it is definitely worth going if in the mood, you can’t expect to feast without running a large bill. $19 a dish. 4.5/5 stars as a dinner spot.

We went there on Saturday to have dinner. We wanted to try Indian cuisine. Food was delicious. Server (David) was very polite, friendly and made us very comfortable with Indian menu. Me and my husband will be there every week now. Highly recommended if you want to have good service and food.

I was in town and was craving some Indian food and one of my friend recommended me this place. I went and the food seriously did not disappoint the lamb chops and the tandoori chicken hit the spot. Not to mention the server that went by the name Nimmi who was not only sweet but funny and very welcoming. I will most definitely be back again with my friends this time.

This place is in my rotation of places to order in from and they never fail. Their butter chicken is excellent and I highly recommend. But I write this review because of tonight’s experience. I ordered for pickup and ordered my usual butter chicken with rice and naan. Picked it up and when I opened it at home I found they had packed me the wrong dish. Honest mistake. I called them up and the apologetic gentleman agreed to deliver me the correct dish. Not only did it arrive within 10 minutes it also included fresh naan. Love the food and tonight was the cherry on top. Thank you!

Came here to celebrate my birthday with some friends and the food was great so was the service. We came without reservations and Vikas got us a large table quite quickly. And was very attentive and to us. I would definitely come here again. The seabass was one of the best dish I’ve had in the upper east side.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in all of New York City and I think a lot of people also have that opinion. The menu is very large and can be intimidating but the staff is always there to give a recommendation. If you're new to Indian food or want to try something new, this is the spot to do it. The lamb chops had been recommended by the staff, They were nicely seasoned

We had an enjoyable Sunday Brunch and highly recommended Moti Mahal. The food not not too spicy...thank goodness! The owner/chef took his time and explained all the dishes to us. Their Lamb chops is a must have dish! Our family really enjoyed the freshly baked butter naans and rotors made in a tandoor oven. Hats off to the chef!!

Excellent Mughlai and North Indian food. You cannot go wrong with ordering anything on the menu. My favorite are ajwaini macchi tikka (mustard flavored sea bass), cream murgh tikka, lamb chops and dahi palak kabab. Dal Makhni was out of this world!

K

The lamb was outstanding! We also loved the broccoli and the butter chicken. There were 4 of us and this was the right amount of food. The crab was the least favorite of the group, not bad, just not super interesting/flavorful.

I absolutely love this place. The service is always wonderful, and the food is consistently delicious. It’s my go-to Indian restaurant! I’m there every other week, and my entire family loves it too. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing, especially the murgh makhani, saag paneer, daal makhani, and the golgappa shots. And the garlic naan is a must. The staff is incredibly kind, warm, and accommodating, which makes the experience even better every time. Such a gem, highly recommend supporting this spot.

Finally made it to Motimahal Deluxe during my recent NYC trip, and it didn’t disappoint. We reserved ahead for a Friday night dinner, though it looked like a few walk-in tables were available. The experience began with a classic touch—complimentary papad and chutneys, setting the tone for what felt like a North Indian meets Northwest Frontier culinary journey. We kicked things off with their Golgappa Shots—a modern, upscale take on the beloved Indian street food. Four perfectly crisp puff pastries came with two types of flavorful pani (spicy mint and tangy tamarind). Pour, pop, and enjoy—flavorful, nostalgic, and fun. Appetizers were standout: ✨ The Shilbatta Shami Kebab was a personal favorite—flawlessly spiced, tender, with a hint of smokiness from the grill. 🔥 The Tandoori Chicken delivered that ideal char without compromising juiciness. Both were impeccably executed. For mains, we went with Aloo Kulcha and Rara Gosht. The mutton was melt-in-your-mouth tender and rich with flavor; the kulchas were soft, buttery, and addictive. The portions were generous—we ended up taking some home and skipped dessert (next time!). If you’re a fan of robust North Indian flavors, Motimahal Deluxe is a must-visit. We didn’t try their signature Dal or Butter Chicken, but I’ve heard they’re cult favorites. They also offer a buffet (likely a solid weekday deal)—worth checking out. Update: visited again, the service and the food were consistent. This time we tried their butter chicken, which was fine.

Moti Mahal is a cozy little spot with simple, tasty Indian food. The vibe is warm, and the place looks beautiful. Dipen, the owner, treats everyone like family and pays attention to every detail. You feel the love in both the food and the service.

A classic take on Indian food. We started with the dahi kebabs, not really where the dahi was but it was a ghee roasted and pretty tasty! The saag paneer was AMAZING, one of the best saag paneer I’ve had in a while. The garlic naan was decent, I wish it had more garlic on it and was a little bigger. The paneer makhani was also a standard taste, nothing to write home about. Service was friendly and ambiance is clean and tables are nicely spaced apart which I appreciate.

I went here on a Friday night and had the best time! Right from entering the ambience and decorations were beautiful and filled with detail. The food was served quickly and the Golgappa shots we had were a 10/10. If they had those “shots” at a bar I’d order them every time!! The crispy pastry on it was perfection. The butter chicken and the minced lamb dish we had also had amazing flavors with delicious sauces that kept me coming back for more. I can’t wait to come back next time and try even more of their dishes!

I had been wanting to come to this place since almost one year. So glad that I finally made it! Had a wait time of 15-20 minutes since we did not have a reservation and it was Friday night. The servers are very courteous. Food is outstanding. I feel the place is a little cramped up >_< So I HAD to try their famos chicken makkhani (butter chicken). Besides that I tried paneer shashlik and pomegranet fish from the aps. Yummy food! Will surely go again so I can try their different varieties. Now I'm in food come. Okay, bye! ●____●

Pretty good Indian food. I am definitely not an expert when it comes to Indian food but what I had was pretty delicious! Came and ordered their MMD SIgnature masala. One with shrimp and one with chicken. Very flavorful with all the wonderful spice! I personally liked the shrimp better than the chicken. the chicken was all chicken breast and a bit dry for me. the shrimps on the other hand was very fresh and big. The sauce went so well with the white rice and the Garlic naan we ordered on the site. The portion was on the small side however, i think for the price charged, they could have at least give more white rice. We also tried the palak patta chaat and it was made with fried spinach leaves drizzled with yogurt and spice and that was pretty good. Service was ok. Overall, solid Indian spot on the UES..just wished they would give a bit more food!

R
Rajesh Iyer

The food is excellent but the service is curt. We had ordered our appetizer and main course simultaneously. The appetizer arrived and was awesome. We waited for over 30 mins for the mains and saw other tables being served even though they arrived 15 mins after us. So we asked the server when would the food arrive. Her response was ‘it will come when it comes’. But then she went to the kitchen and our food was on the table in under 30 seconds. Begs the question on how much longer would we have been made to wait. The food is great and would heartily recommend it. And that’s why I give a 4 star instead of 2/3

M
Melissa Wells

solid choice for authentic Indian food. It's a small place.. and I love their lunch buffet. Great prices, great selection but gotta get there before 2:30. We always get the butter chicken, tandoori chicken and garlic naan so not too adventurous but try to make it up here at least 2-3x a week.

M
Mohammed Hussain

Great experience - great food (chicken special, naan, lassi). Vibe was super chill and calm. Underrated for sure. Sagar was our waiter and phenomenal - he was very attentive and kind and made sure we had a great night! Give them a try, we will return! Editing my review after a second visit, the service was indeed fantastic but the food is not worth writing about though to be fair the same is true for most if not all Indian restaurants on the upper east side.

C
Christina Filep

The food was delicious but somehow we expected more choices. The drinks were good. However, this might be a recent addition as the staff didn't seem so experienced using drink orders. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the atmosphere.

S
Sue S.

I recently took a friend here based on my past two good experiences. However, there was a gent talking very loud on his cell phone without a headset. The exchange was so distracting and unpleasant that we asked our waiter to tell the diner to turn down the volume. After no action, we were informed that the offender was the owner. LOL. Eventually he went outside. But really, does everyone in the sparsey attended space need to know that you are the best designer in Mexico? LOL. Food was just ok this time around. Waitstaff - excellent.

C
Chaithanya Sivakumar

Loved their lunch buffet. Unlike conventional buffets, the serving team serves the dishes to your table, rather than you having to go and take it from a stall. The food was flavorful and the spice levels are to meet the average goer's needs. As for the ambience, I generally like restaurants with big windows and a lot of natural lighting and have tables along side them. There's no shortage of that here. I'd recommend.

S
Shukhrat Maks

I had chicken signature dish with white rice. Chicken came in sauce that was similar taste as masala but served with a tasteful spice that made a little spicy. The server was very helpful but menu is pricey.

J
Jeff Rothman

Buttered chicken, their riff on chicken tikka masala was phenomenal. Terrific balance of sweet with a hint of spice. Garlic naan was herbaceous and delicious. Basmati rice was fluffy with perfect ratio of spice and peas. Very busy on a Sunday night at 830pm but service was well timed and never left me stranded. Highly recommend.

S
Shashank Gupta

Food quality was better than expected from a buffet but overall average. Daal makhani was amazing. Weird thing - it wasn't a buffet and more like a pre fix menu but there was no way to know the items in the pre fix menu.

T
Tatz Dee

Have had 6-7 meals spread out over a couple of years here. The lunch buffet is worth it & surprisingly European & African colleagues like the food here. Dinner is always a la carte with some interesting combos. PS- they have outlets all over India.

A

I've been to this place before and food is still top notch! Went with a friend to have dinner and service was good and attentive. Food comes quick. No complaints.

V
Vivek Kantamani

The food here is consistently on point. Unlike a lot of Indian restaurants that will serve you butter chicken and some neon palak dish, the buffet here offers some unique dishes that are more like what you'd get at home - daal makhani, mixed vegetables, keema, etc. The meat dishes are actually cooked with proper vegetables unlike the plain masala curries you get at a lot of places. The buffet is more like an infinite refill of all the dishes (and naan) rather than a self-serve, but that really doesn't make any difference. I like to try a place two or three times before recommending it and Moti Mahal is definitely worth it. I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention the following through: Usually with the non-veg buffet you'll get some kind of chicken tikka or chicken pakora for an appetizer. On this trip though I got a chicken tikka leg and CHICKEN NUGGETS. I swear I thought I'd entered some kind of Indian twilight zone for a second. I guess there's something to be said for the novelty of it all, but it was really bizarre. I know Moti Mahal is a chain, and some quick googling showed that chicken nuggets are in fact actually on the menu in some parts of the world, but I question the logic of serving chicken nuggets as an appetizer in the UES. I'll still stand by the quality of the dishes here, they're delicious and reasonably spicy for my taste, but across from one of the best chicken tikkas I've had in a while I did not expect to find garnished chicken nuggets.

The lunch vegetarian thali ($20 plus tax) consists of chat, naan, basmati, mixed vegetables, kidney beans, paneer makhani, raita, and gulab jamun for dessert. The quantity makes for a filling meal. The 3 main dishes had good heat and depth of flavor. Service was a bit curt; and the bill was given even before I tasted the dessert. Please note that their suggested tip amounts are based on the taxed total.

Moti Mahal Delux is a decent Indian spot I come to for lunch. I feel like the quality has dropped a bit over the months but I still occasionally visit for their buffet lunch

Manthan Shah

We had a fair experience at Moti Mahal. We really enjoyed the apps, we got the paneer shashlik and spinach kebabs - lots of flavour to them. For the mains, we had the Khumani Kofta and paneer lababdar. The Khumani Kofta was on the sweeter side, and a little too creamy; different, but not sure I would get I again. The paneer lababdar was rich and flavourful, and pretty good overall.

Deepshikha Kaushal
Deepshikha Kaushal

My friends and I dined at Moti Mahal Delux recently. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We ordered several curries and starters; while most of the food was decent (around 3.5/5), the Paneer Lababdar and bread were standouts. The Dahi Palak, their signature appetizer, was just okay, and I've had better kebabs elsewhere in NYC. Overall, I'd rate my experience 4/5, mainly because the vegetarian options felt somewhat limited.

After hearing this was a popular chain in India, I had visions of an Indian Din Tai Fung or Ootoya. And that's pretty much the experience we got: slightly upscale, good quality Indian food in an elegant setting where you would feel equally comfortable bring a first date or your mother. - Khasta Aloo Tikki: Scrumptious - crispy aloo patties, sweet yogurt, mint sauce - Gafari Shorba: Tastes more or less like cream of chicken soup with some diced apples for crunch. Could've been more interesting if they'd added some spices. - Murgh Makhani : Is this the best butter chicken I've had? No. But it's not bad. The curry was spot on; the chicken was overcooked. - MMD Signature Chicken: Got this by accident, but I wasn't sad about it. The chicken was super tender and the curry was complex. - Lobster Masala: Not bad, though it's hard to top Semma's lobster dish. - Shahi Tukda: Whatever you do, leave room for dessert. We loved this so much, we got it twice. Flavor profile: caramom, pistachios, cream (like many Indian desserts). Delish. If you're stuck on the Upper Boring Side, don't settle for one of the overpriced, generic Italian restaurants in the area. Come here. Experience flavor.

The food reminded of true North Indian taste. Everything that we ordered tasted great. Chicken was also tender and Naan and laccha paratha were well done (had some crisps, the way i like it). However their murgh makhani dish which is their MMD special was not super great. I have eaten better ones. But rest other dishes were really good.

Shalu Dagar
Shalu Dagar

I give 4 stars for the quality of food- not too spicy not overwhelmingly filling. However the portion size was lesser than most other Indian places. Also they didnt have any hot beverages on the menu which was a bummer for someone trying to get relief from the winter of new york. Otherwise good ambience and cozy place. We ordered veg biryani, kofta, aloo kulcha and daal makhni. Veg biryani and aloo kulcha were average, rest all good.

I really liked the food here. From the appetizers to the entree- it was fantastic! We ordered all vegetarian items. The service was good. I am definitely coming back here. The food tonight was definitely a 4.7 on 5 because there's always room for improvement, isn't it 😊

I
IITB Grad

Food was great. Portion sizes were a bit small - could have been better. Also the tables for 2 were extremely cramped. There is no way 2 people can dine in comfort with their entrees and plates in those micro sized tables. Menu is difficult to read. Not well structured. Service was great. Probably will return for the food taste.

s
shubham sharma

I've ordered food from here a few times. The entrees are good. Just about good. Dal Makhni and Murgh Makhni are both good. However, the appetizers didn't have any flavor. Specifically the Palak patta chaat and the cocktail samosas, both were relatively flavorless. If you want to check it out, probably avoid those.

R
Rashmi Iyer

Very average Indian food at best. I can see why non-Indians may like it and give it so many questionable 5 star ratings but being Indian myself, I can tell you for sure there is absolutely nothing special about this place. The franchise name is probably what lures people in and fools them into believing the food is amazing. That's probably what fixes the unjustified higher prices as well. There are so many Indian restaurants in NYC that are much better that this lackluster place.

D
Daniel Thomas

I was disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s on the level of Mughlai or Om but not anywhere close to the best in Manhattan and definitely not the boroughs. The seekh kabob was spiced heavily but chewy, the khumani kofta was oversalted and not that perfect freshly made crumble in your mouth texture and the curry for it didn’t quite hit that cashew sweet creamy/savory balance right. The murgh makhani came with a LAYER of grease on the top and leaned too far in the tomato/vinegar direction. Serviceable but not something I’d get again. The breads were solid, no complaints there. I think for the hype this place gets, this takeout order was very disappointing.

T
Tiffany Sia

This has usually been my go-to neighborhood Indian spot. Yes, the food is tasty. But the last few times I have gotten take out, the portions have been smaller and smaller and the prices have been going up. For example, I got the tandoori chicken and they gave 3 small pieces - mostly bone! Half of the container was a sad undressed arugula salad. I was shocked. For nearly $20 I thought this was a rip off. Next time I will be looking to order out from elsewhere.

My dish was ready at the estimated time for pick-up. The staff was polite during my quick exchange. The Rarha Gosht (minced lamb meat masala) was $28 (including tax) on Grubhub for a dish that was hardly 2 cups worth!! While the dish was filled entirely of meat, the portion to cost ratio was absurd. The dish was filled with flavor, spice, and complemented well with rice and naan.

Food is ok but portions are VERY SMALL Got the Murgh Makhani which was good Also got the Mutton Soola Kebab which was ok and there were 5 pieces total In the picture i ate 2 pieces of the lamb already… And of course the garlic naan is always delicious

We have tried Indian food from many different restaurants in NY/NJ area. We did a dinner take out (for 2) at this place and found it to be a bit pricey compared to other indian restaurants. People are generally okay paying more for authentic regional food, ambience, location, unique drink menu, etc. We ordered the following: 1 Paneer Tikka Shashlik $12.95 1 Paneer Makhani $16.95 1 Murgh Tandoori $15.95 1 Murgh Makhani $17.95 2 Garlic Naans $9.90 Total with tax $80.24 Food was okay, good not bad, nothing special in my opinion, nothing that blew away my taste buds based on the items we ordered but the quantity vs the price was not good. Once again, perhaps (pre-covid) eating at the restaurant with food presentation, ambience, etc may strike a different experience. This is purely judging the food by itself. Not looking for buffet quantity for few bucks but this in my opinion is not suitable for dinner for 2!

Went here for my 6 month anniversary with my girlfriend and the atmosphere was really quiet and clean. We got served and received the food really quickly. However, the portions are fairly small and expensive, but the food itself was good. Just found it a little too overpriced for the little amount of food we got. But the masala chai is a must, some of the best chai I’ve had!

We ordered 4-5 items between 3 people , this was the first time going at this restaurant. I know it’s hard to find good Indian food so I was not expecting more but they need to work on a lot of things. Plus he never asked if my friend wanted another beer. A bit disappointing The first thing I tried was the gol gappa which was a big turn off. It was super sour and salty, no flavor. 2nd I tried the panner kadhai and it was good but the quality was very small, same goes with the goat curry. The biryani was okay- very strong flavor on cardamom which again is a turn of as it is hard to enjoy the food. Plus the service was a bit slow, I wasn’t really satisfied but still did leave 20% tip but he was also starring at the screen which was a bit uncomfortable.

Have been here multiple times throughout the past 2 years and had a rather good experience. Food and service were both very good. However, went there recently and was very disappointed. The portions were much smaller than I’d remember. For instance, the MMD signature shrimp main entree which costs $25 had only 4 shrimps. Rice is also not included and they give you a small bowl for $5. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back.

Unbelievably pathetic food. Sabj Pachmeel is full of zucchini and squash, something thats not even common in any Indian dish and the masala was somewhat bitter too. Zucchini, Squash in Indian dish…. really??? Murg Makhani MMD signature is bland, dry chicken breast in bland curry. Dahi palak kabab was bitter. It was one of my favorite Indian places in NYC, but i was amazed too see the quality this time.

Overpriced restraunt for the quantity and quality of food. Service is good. The quantity of food can be really improved

Food quality and taste has gone down tremendously. Kali dal had no dal just gravy and tons of oil. Butter chicken was too sweet. Tandoori roti was hard and dry. We have ordered here many times before and this time it was really very poor.

Thoroughly disappointed with the service!! Food was good. Not the best Indian food in Manhattan. Well, that's not my concern. I took two of my international friends here who wanted to try different Indian cuisines. After reading good enough reviews, I finalized Moti Mahal. Now, the manager seemed indifferent towards my friends. He gave no explanation and always looked in a hurry to take orders. Anyway, it's fine. I kept my friends busy and everything was alright. For the substandard service he provided, I saw that 20% tip was added already. I have no qualms with that but it should be justified. We had to serve our wine ourselves after he just opened the bottle. The manager didn't even say Thank You or visit again or anything while we were leaving. That's definitely not the service I expected after spending over $300.

Highly overrated restaurant. Ordered Butter Chicken, supposed to be their special dish. Turned out to be most ordinary rather below average preparation. No taste or flavor, like chicken thrown into cream with food color. Onion Kulcha naan too, below grade, had to return to get replacement. Name from famous Delhi restaurant is highly deceptive.

Went here with limited expectations and even then I was still let down. I ordered the butter chicken and it was average at best and came in a disappointingly small size. They charged a ridiculous price for a mediocre, small dish which we had to order extra naan (because that, of course, literal bread comes with a separate charge) to even enjoy. The food and atmosphere wasn’t terrible, hence the 2 stars, but the obviously worst aspect of the restaurant was the service. Never have I felt more unwelcome in a restaurant. We were served by a woman whose name I unfortunately never got, but whose astonishingly bad temper and downright rude treatment towards us I won’t easily forget. She answered our requests with grunts, treated us like annoyances that she had to put up with. I’m used to overpriced, mid food in NY, but this person was so frustratingly rude to our table that I had to come write a review. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

This place was supposed to be amazing, but honestly the entire experience was pretty lackluster. The food was fine, but didn't taste better than your average Indian restaurant, and the portions here are tiny. We actually ended up leaving hungry and still paid almost $30/person for barely any food. The Makhani is their specialty and it was pretty good, but not stellar. If you want to watch your diet but still eat Indian, this is the place to come because you'll leave here wanting a second meal.

I used to go here fairly often in 2018. First time trying this again after returning to NY. The place was mostly empty, service was ok, however the food was a major disappointment and the staff were indifferent to that. Ordered 2 appetizers and parantha and subz panchmael. I basically was served some almost heated frozen food, with a little ginger added for spice. Covid has really distorted something here, perhaps everyone has lost their sense of taste. I'm not sure how this place is still in business based on my experience. Only positive was that the Masala Chai was good. So go have a chai and ignore the rest of the menu.

I recently ordered takeout and it was just awful, literally threw it all out. Ordered the butter chicken (inedible) and Palak paneer (just barely edible) - both were terrible and I’d be shocked if these were made fresh everyday. If a dish is not fresh the least it can be is tasty which this was far from. The chicken was hard like a rock. Anyways never again - save your money.

Horrible service. The host is rude and so is the rest of the staff. Hygiene issues especially during the coronavirus (when changing plates between appetizers and entrees they put the cutlery down on table mats which aren’t changed just wiped down between each guests) and on top of that 20% tip added to bill for a party of less than 4 people was the last straw for me. There are better Indian restaurants in NYC with way better service. I am not sure if they’re going to survive for long especially in the Upper East Side where people love to discuss places and I bet they won’t have a lot of returning customers.

Where to start, food has always been great and only thing that makes this place survive, but after receiving poor service multiple times, I am compelled to write this review here. Worst service ever, the host always change and they somehow manage to get most unprofessional staff possible. Rude and untrained staff, they could not care less for you. You should feel welcomed when you are paying a good amount for a food (additional 20% pre added tip for party of 2, such a shame), it’s more of a hostile environment as if food they are serving is charity. High time they do a check on their staff, and hire some professionals. I repeat food is good, service is unimaginably bad. Never again.

Called ahead at 7:40pm for a table. Was told there should be an opening at 8:15. Made a reservation for 8:30 to be safe. Had to wait for over 30 minutes in a cramped space with no waiting area. Finally was seated on a table meant for 4. Food was decent but not spectacular. Rest of the staff was attentive. It’s really a small local restaurant that should not take reservations. Would not recommend to anyone that values their time.

The guy in the kitchen was eating something that had sauce all over it. He licked the sauce off of his hands finger by finger then proceeded to pick up the bag for delivery and hand it to me ( the delivery guy). I refused and canceled the order. I will never come back here. I would never ever eat here. If you go around the corner there's a black door that leads to the kitchen, it's open, you can walk in and see everything for yourself before you sit down and eat.

The food was average and didn’t quite meet expectations for the price. The portion sizes were smaller than anticipated, especially considering the cost. Additionally, rice wasn’t included with the curries, which is typically standard at other Indian restaurants. The service fell short, as the waitress was frequently unavailable, forcing us to get up multiple times to place or follow up on our orders. The waitress was always on her phone. Unfortunately, the meal also caused some digestive issues afterward, which contributed to the disappointing experience. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

This place used to be a gem! We ordered or dined almost on a weekly basis. Food was utterly fantastic. Unfortunately, new management took over. Did a big renovation and make over. Outcome -: All the wonderful servers are no longer there. The portion size is now reduced to tiny morsels. The prices have all been jacked up to ridiculous levels. A lovely neighborhood gem reduced to a sad state. Never going back.

This restaurant was very tasteless. We had the palak paneer and the chicken korma. Both were lacking spice and taste. The chicken korma just tasted like ghee (butter) with no spice. Neither were authentic at all. I wish I had chosen a different restaurant.

I ordered Tandoori chicken at this restaurant through Grubhub and check out the portion size I received after paying ~$16.0 (without taxes). This restaurant is a SCAM stealing money for meager food portion. I wish there was an option for selecting 0 stars for quantity and taste. Waste of money!

Public Service Announcement - Dear Non-Indians, if you're looking for an Indian restaurant then keep looking, because this definitely is NOT Indian food. Where do I even start? There are very few decisions in my life that I've regretted more than spending over $300 here. I do not have words for this abomination. I would rate this place negative 5 if possible. Utterly disappointing food, they couldn't serve more bland food even if they wanted to. I came here with a few relatives and now I'm put in a position where I have to re-evaluate my relationship with them, because they brought me here. How is this place even in business is beyond me. No, just no, you simply can not serve such bad food and then ask people to not write about it. My problem is not with the quality or hygiene, it is the fact that they are serving half cooked, ILL seasoned random dishes which resemble Indian food but taste more like cardboard and sand. NYC, if this is best you have to offer then WOW. What an absolute waste of time and money.
