Been here twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both were very good. I would say this is a hidden gem but it's always so packed I can't justify the hidden part. All the food from chicken strips to cheeseburgers to bananas foster French toast and pancakes and sausage was excellent. Highly recommend this for any meal you might need to eat.

Outstanding! Took me 20yrs to find another waffle worthy of the praise - Nellie's delivered! Absolutely the best waffle you'll find - crisp outside, soft on the inside. The breakfast burritos are top notch as well. Staff is exceptional- you can't go wrong here! HIGHLY recommend a visit!

What a great location for breakfast. They have a unique menu with original and classic favorites. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. It is really easy to find using Google Maps. It is really close to Interstate 69 in Newburgh, Indiana. There is plenty of free parking in their large lot next to their building. Will definitely be back here again soon. I have only tried their breakfast but look forward to trying other options soon.

Dine in late lunch.. this Locally owned restaurant is a lovely place to go if you are looking for good housemade food. First time visit. The atmosphere is comfortable & the tables are spaced nicely. There is even a small counter available for those single diners who would prefer that option. The decor is simple yet homey & welcoming. It was nice & clean even in those areas that sometimes get forgotten about like ledges. This is a nice family friendly establishment. Our server was friendly & knowledgeable although she was a little dismissive when asked about the specials.. apparently they were written on the big chalk boards located in the middle of the room behind me. (See pictures) no prices listed. The menu offers lots of great breakfast options which are available all day.. more options than Cracker Barrel. (They have several types of WAFFLES! EGGS BENEDICTS & some interesting BURRITOS) They also have several BURGERS (1/2 lb ea or larger) and lots of other tasty sandwiches like a CHICKEN PHILLY, FISH TACOS, FISH POBOY, GYROS, CUBANS & many more.. & ENTREE SALADS for lunch. Oh and CHICKEN TENDERS. Dinner menu starts at 3pm & they offer several classic homestyle entrees like MEATLOAF & FRIED CHICKEN. The price was comproble to similar type restaurants mainly $9.99 to $14.99? We ordered the Appetizer FRIED GREEN TOMATOES $8.99?.. they were delicious & served with a tasty housemade RANCH DRESSING. My dining companion ordered the Dinner order of CHICKEN TENDERS (4 pieces) which came with 2 sides vs. Lunch which came with 1 side. The Tenders were hand breaded & tasty.. with a delicious housemade HONEY MUSTARD.. REAL MASHED POTATOES w/ Brown Gravy & a very tasty SLAW. I ordered the REUBEN which was loaded with a very generous portion of real tender juicy Corned Beef on Swirled Rye Bread with a side of their housemade POTATO SALAD. Both were delicious although I would say the sandwich would be improved if the bread were grilled longer so it could stand up to the moisture of everything better. It was soggy on the bottom. The potato salad is again housemade & MUSTARD based which is fine & paired really good with the Reuben. The one thing that I would warn customers about is that they put REAL BACON in the POTATO SALAD. It's tasty, a nice twist & adds good texture but it isn't mentioned on the menu or by the server. My companion doesn't eat pork or for those who may have Alpha Gal it could be an issue. The portion for both of us we brought at least half back home for a 2nd meal. Didn't try a dessert today but the TRES LECHE Cake looked really good. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND & PLAN ON GOING BACK.

Nellie’s is a win, for sure. From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere, it’s a win. We went on a Saturday morning around 11:30 and even though they were busy we were promptly seated. Everybody was happy to be there, customers and employees alike! The food reminds me of Cleaver’s (almost exactly) but their execution and atmosphere is better. It only took FOUR minutes for us to get our food 😳😳😳…I was very impressed! For my girlfriend and I it was $35 with tip; very reasonably priced for what we ordered. We’ll DEFINITELY be back! Update: after eating here probably fifteen times so far, we love it! Their chicken tenders are 👌, as well as the Nutella pancakes (no chocolate chips add banana slices on top). The garlic mashed potatoes are delicious. Love the French fries! I love the warm family friendly no pretense atmosphere; very comforting 🙂🙏

This place was fantastic start of our Chicago trip. The portions were huge for the price!! The only thing I didn't like was that they put powdered sugar on my pancakes but everything else was great. My omelet was huge and so was my girlfriend's breakfast burrito this is a must visit place

While in town visiting family that brought us to this location for breakfast. The menu had something for everyone. The staff was warm and inviting. The atmosphere was festive for the holiday season. The good portions were large and cooked to order. Everything was delicious. Hope to come back again next time we are in town.

I do not know why I am surprised, that it costs my family of three adults, $90 plus tip, to eat here. We all got one drink, one entrée each, and two desserts to share. We can't afford to go back...geez! Also, it was way too cramped. The tables were way too close together. And I noticed that they were really understaffed, which caused me to be anxious, because this poor woman was having to run around at 90 miles an hour, trying to take care of everyone...

I took my daughter out for breakfast at a popular local favorite, Nellie's. We usually don't go here because it's always packed. We went on a Thursday morning, so it wasn't as busy as it normally is on the weekend. We were seated immediately, and our server came right over to get our drink orders. We looked over the menu and were ready to order as soon as our drinks arrived. I got the country fried steak, and my daughter had the Mickey pancakes. The food arrived about 10 minutes later. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The food was amazing. The service was great. I can see why it's always so busy. I highly recommend trying Nellie's for breakfast.

I just didn’t care for Nellie’s food. There were a lot of people there so it must be popular. I mentioned that to someone from the area and he said their breakfasts are the best to order. I had a pulled pork sandwich. I just didn’t like the taste. My side was baked beans. They were unlike any I’ve had before and I didn’t like them either. My wife had chicken tacos which she thought we ok. She also had a side of corn. That was actually the best thing we ate. Our server was nice and attentive and I thought it was a nice place.

Very disappointing food and service here. Farm Boy skillet was exceptionally flavorless, not sure why it had no seasoning but blah is best description I have. Server acted like he didn’t want to help us. We had to beg him for more napkins and tea. Finally found the napkins ourselves. Nothing here to make us want to return.

We stopped by for dinner while passing through town. We had their chips and queso with salsa, which was good. Then ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn along with the grilled chicken with mac n cheese and fries. They bring you large portions and we all took home part of our meal. The chicken was very bland, we didn't taste any seasoning at all, but everyone else enjoyed their meal. Wife picked up an order today (03/05/2026) around 5, food was good as always... But once again things were missing from both meals. My tenderloin with brown gravy and mash potatoes had no gravy. Wife had the fried chicken with mash potatoes and asked for white gravy but no gravy again. Orderd green tomatoes, which was good but for almost $9 would expect more than five.

Waitress must have been having a bad day. Very unfriendly, had a crappy attitude. I asked for no onions in my veggie omelet and there were onions. When I said something she was rude. I told her tbat I didn't want another one that I would eat my hash browns and toast. We received our bill and I told her that I would not pay for an omelet I didn't eat and then she got even more crappy/rude. She did take my plate and came back with the bill and had removed my entire order. I explained I would pay for what I ate.
