We visited here and took advantage of the $7 meal that includes a generous portion of chicken strips and fries, a drink, and a sundae for dessert - plenty of great food with a sweet conclusion! No complaints, except perhaps that the dining room temperature was nearly as cold as the ice cream in the sundae.
We use this as it is close to where we live. I feel that it's like every other, depending upon what you ordered and who makes it, is the decision on if you like it 🤷♀️. We have been VERY HAPPY with most things we got although there are many times we have ordered either a Milkshake or Blizzard and I have to take them back inside due to they seemed like they were made ahead of time or a mistake so they were already in the melted process 🙄. Only MY OPINION Is they see that before they hand it out to you so why do they not make a new one???? I'm thinking that there are people who will just take it & leave only to complain about it to someone else?? NOT ME!!!!! I will park to take it right back in, I'm paying for it so I want it like it's supposed to be!!!
Always been good food at a great price. Although, I will admit that the quality of food is not what it used to be. I'm not sure if nobody orders chili dogs anymore or not but, I have ordered a chili dog from there recently and a month ago and the chili itself and the hot dog are always old. I don't know why but that's the way it is and it always aggravates me. Dairy Queen always had really good chili dogs and there are not a lot of places around that serve chili dogs, anymore. So, come on, Dairy Queen! Make better chili dogs! Please!
I have a different kind of sub-par experience every time I go here. But the location is convenient as a Newburgh resident who craves an ice cream treat late evening. Recently the wait in the drive thru has been extra long, even when it doesn’t appear to be busy. Tonight when I went through the drive thru, we waited forever and it was evident why once I got to the window. The person making the desserts was obviously pre-making blizzards but not in order, so 2/3 were made minutes before we got up there. And the dessert person kept handing blizzards and the drive thru window girl was obviously confused on what she was being handed, and asked multiple times for the hot fudge sundae (our last item after the 3rd blizzard). Everything was visibly melted when they were handed out the window and she didn’t give us lids after asking for them. The cherry on top was the fact that they were overfilled and melting, so ice cream just kept spilling all over for the entire car ride home. I try to have patience as I understand these teens are probably paid very little and work in fast paced, stressful environments— I worked fast food for 8 years, I get it. But geez. There’s obviously a lack of support from management, inadequate training, and lack of support from the team overall because there were a ton of people by the front counter just hanging out as all of this was happening. Very disappointing.
Prices are insane, even compared to other local DQ’s. 89 cents for a tiny sauce cup (they forget half the time) & an additional 3.19 to upgrade to a blizzard on the meal deal when the sign advertises a $2 upgrade. An additional 1.69 to upgrade a drink to a large, from a medium. Almost $8 for cheese curds that are never filled up all the way.
A month ago, I ordered a large misty freeze and an ice cream for my wife. Declined on the app a couple times before accepting the order. Charged my card each time it declined too. Arrived to pick up the food and they were out of misty freezes but could not refund that part of the order. Today, I decided to try again. Same issue with the app, even with a different card. I went through the drive thru and ask if they have misty freezes right now. They say yes. I ordered a large one, cheese curds and a cupfection. I get to the window and get my order and leave. They put no ice cream in the misty freeze. This is more frustrating than it needs to be. I've only gone to this dairy queen twice in two months and it's been a bad experience each time. At least it is for anyone who wants a misty freeze.
Drive thru tonight really did not execute well. How are yall gonna give us a banana split without a single banana 😭 my boyfriend mined through the heap of whip cream to find there’s not even a banana in his banana split! And I got a regular dilly bar when I ordered a non dairy!! A few bites in and I realized it was a little too good, looked at the wrapper and it’s a reduced fat dilly bar, not a non dairy. My intestines are gonna be paying for this, Dairy Queen. Those were the only two things we ordered and both of them were messed up.
Had to pull around to wait for food when there was nobody behind me. The shrimp they brought out was completely burnt. Absolutely would not recommend this place. Take pride in your work people.
Did an online pick up my daughter went to pick it up there was no food ready the drinks it already melted the slushies and the ice cream because it was prepared but there was no food ready it was supposed to be ready at 12:38 it was after 1:00 p.m. and the food was not up to par I doubt that I'll be ordering from there again unless it's eating fresh in there but it was like nobody cared. I know everybody's having trouble keeping employees nowadays but when you pay $40 $35 to eat lunch you expect it to be ready and to be hot and to be decent I won't go back there
Ordered A small m n m blizzard n a mini mmm blizzard n a hot fudge Sunday the blizzards where so melted n my hot fudge was not hot n it was melting the girl that worked the window was very rude n said they all melt won’t be going back
terrible, i ordered a plain chicken sandwich and it had everything on it. A bunch of prepubescent teenagers working. Obviously clueless, to top things off they didn't flip my blizzard. 1 sandwich and 1 medium blizzard was $12. think that is overpriced as is.
I usually don’t leave reviews, due to the fact that I work in the restaurant industry myself. My grandmother, her friend and I came in yesterday before the big storm @ 7pm 5/16/2025, my grandma had ordered fries and they sat in the window for about 10 minutes, she had also attempted to order, A hot fudge sundae, but the employee said that the ice cream machine was broken. they sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for a six piece tender basket with cheese curds. while we were waiting those 20 minutes, they are handing blizzards out of the drive-through window. by the time we got our food, it was incorrect, and whenever we said something about it, the employees walked around the corner, and continue to talk loud enough that us guest could hear them being disrespectful. by the time we got our correct order, and my grandmother had asked why they were out of ice cream if they were handing blizzards out of the drive-through window, and the girl that took the order, then went over and asked if they had ice cream, and they disrespectful manner, and was told yes that they did indeed have ice cream in my grandmother. Finally got her ice cream after being there for around 30 minutes… I understand this is a fast food restaurant,( and i’m guessing 90% of the staff was high school students by the way they were acting) and there was a storm on the way, however, you should never be disrespectful to You’re paying patrons. very disappointed, and very upset for my grandmother who had spent probably around 30 bucks at Dairy Queen never going back again !!!
Horrible service I got ice without a lid I asked for M&M and I didn't get that I was given something totally different I didn't get lids no carrier she was rude and just that needs to be checked cause no one deserves to be treated that way
The restaurant was absolutely disgusting. It was so filthy. The tray they put my food on looked like it had mold on it. I took a picture and wish I could post it. After I ate I got an ice cream cake and was over charged by over $8. Lunch break thst I never want to have again. I will not be going back.
Had a late night craving of a Oreo blizzard. Got extra Oreo for .89 cents and the bottom half of the cup was plain vanilla ice cream no Oreos to be found. That is absolutely pathetic. All you do is stick pieces at the top and don’t even mix it or PUT THE EXTRA YOU CHARGE FOR! What a shame. You would be better off making a home made one. Will save time and money. TAKE TIME TO MAKE IT THE WAY YOU WANT SOMEONE TO MAKE YOUR FOOD. Not worth the hourly wage you get paid.
This is absolutely by far the most disgusting Dairy Queen I have ever been to. I brought in my kids and and I have 4 so I’ve seen some nasty things. I don’t know who is the manager or owner of this restaurant establishment but you need to make changes and fast! Bird crap on tables garbage and dirty hand prints on literally everything. I’m pretty sure things here could get this place shut down immediately from the health department. On top of that all the staff looks like they just rolled out of bed, like one or two okay but literally everyone ????? Image is everything and this place has the worst. Word to the wise - The early bird does NOT get the worm at this DQ. Just went to pick up a cake and thought I’d grab lunch at the same time getting there right at about 11. Bad choice. The wait was ridiculous for the quality. The fries barely filled the cup and an used napkin was laying on top of them - not the mention, they taste like they were from yesterday; luke warm and limp. The burger is hot! But with the consistency of rubber. Open up my chicken strip basket and everything was looking great… until I took the lid of the gravy, which has the consistency of soup. This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten poor quality food, but it’s gonna be the last.
My BF loves DQ and I hardly ever want to go this location because it's always something. How are you gonna charge me almost ten dollars and give me half the meal??? (No fries in the FRY RING basket) Gravy but no toast??? Up charge for a sauce you asked if he wanted and not tell him??? So disappointing every single time.
We went and got a 6 peice chicken strip basket and not all the chicken strips were in there as well as they got our blizzard wrong and were very messy overall 1/10 experience waste of my money
Many complaints about my recent visit. Blizzards came out as milkshakes and the cups were covered in ice cream. Absolute mess. No care or attention to detail. There were a lot of employees in back and it wasn’t as if they were overworked and understaffed. Just simply didn’t seem to care... They did however have time to joke around and play on their phones. Awesome! Employee clocked in and began working without washing hands. I admire them getting right to work, but not when they are handling food and disregard safe food practices. Unacceptable. The manager needs to get this restaurant up to standards. The amount of complaints this place has in regards to professionalism is atrocious. Edit: The link and apology that you half-heartedly reply with to everyone takes you to a contact us page where we have to fill out all this information that we have already listed in our google reviews. You’ve been notified that there is a problem. You have acknowledged it. Why do you want us all to explain our problem to you again? YOU reach out to the franchise owner and fix the issue! You should be the one that is motivated to address the problem, yet all of us are asked to waste our time repeating ourselves while you pretend to show sympathy. This is ridiculous.. Absolutely no integrity is present with this company.
