As always, we had such an amazing experience at Pho last night. Shane gives amazing food recommendations (as always!). This time we tried the cocktails with the recommendation from Kiko and it was SO GOOD! We had the Dragonfruit & Lime Martini, and Coconut Martini and oh my…. despite the nonstop rain these days, the cocktails were so juicy and refreshing and it felt like summer for a sec. Will definitely come back and recommend 😊 xx
Came here for an early valentine's date with my bf, and was very impressed. The food came out quickly and tasted great, it was my first time trying Vietnamese food and it was so so so good. I rly recommend the summer rolls, super light and tasty, rly good for a starter. The brisket is also incredible, literally the nicest brisket I've ever had. Our server Tolu was lovely too, very friendly, knew a lot about the menu, and overall just a great person to have served us. Will definitely be back for more!!
All the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The food is amazing and nearly all is gluten free and safe for coeliacs. Healthy and fresh. Not processed junk. Obviously proper chefs. Probably won't eat anywhere else now in town since discovering Pho! Amazing 😍
We were welcomed into a vibrant environment, gorgeous interior with fast service and generous helpings of food which was of very fresh and great quality. Our server Tolu was very attentive and kind to us and served our food and beverages very quickly despite the rush of Valentine's day. Very impressed with everything, would be blessed to come again!
Called in today as the restaurant is dog friendly and we had time to kill, I got the hot and spicy prawn soup noodles and my husband got hot and spicy beef brisket soup noodles and a flower tea each. BEST FOOD WE HAVE HAD IN A RESTAURANT. The flavours that were smashing us in the mouth were immense. It had to take a quick break as the bowl is HUGE however I made sure I finished every last bit!! The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing and not in a pretentious way, just comfortable, clean and calming and they even supplied a dog bowl! Best of all was our server. Kiko is amazing, she explained each herb on the side and what it adds to the dish and was very attentive. If you are ever passing you must try, you will not regret!!
Came here for the first time last night after a long week at work, and my word was it good. I had never really tried Vietnamese food before, so I didn't really know what to expect, but any expectations I did have were blown out of the water. The food was by far some of the best I've ever had from a restaurant in Newcastle, and the service and atmosphere were nothing short of outstanding. I was so pleased that the staff managed to squeeze us in on a busy Friday night, even though we didn't have a booking. I absolutely will be back in the future to try some of the other dishes on offer.
Heard a lot of good comments about Pho - recently opened - in Newcastle. Finally had the chance to visit on 7/4/25, it deserves its reputation! Beautiful, simple dishes, full of flavour and fragrance. Excellent presentation and service in a really stylish, chilled out restaurant at a great price point. Compliments to the staff - just outstanding!
My eldest son wanted to try this place his 2 younger siblings were not so keen but we went gave it a try and we all thought it was very nice . The only criticism I could give is the noodle dishes my kids got should have been better presented as our rice dishes looked and tasted delicious. Drinks were in cans / bottles with a glass no draught, home made lemonade was good , staff were all very nice people and explained our dish and recommended pouring the sauce in our rice bowls and mixing all together, the seafood spring rolls she mentioned wrapping in lettuce and adding some mint , Overall we all definitely recommend this place.
We came here yesterday as part of the soft opening. I’ve never eaten at another Pho before but love Vietnamese food. It’s obviously very very new and is lovely inside, really good location too. We had Imogen as our server and they were brilliant. Attentive but not overbearing. They had a good knowledge of the food and drinks too. Onto the food. I went a bit nuts and ordered 4 starters: chicken summer rolls, pork spring rolls, pork and lemongrass meatballs (all of which came with a choice of dip) and then the morning glory. All were delicious but the summer rolls were the highlight for me and the morning glory was a surprise as it wasn’t spinach like we would normally eat, is was so delicious. For mains we had the chicken super green and the beef brisket curry pho and both were so tasty. The curry was the highlight (we shared between us). Each pho comes with a plate of herbs for garnish. There were some unusual herbs but nothing I didn’t love. There is a dessert menu but we were stuffed so didn’t even have a glance. I really loved this restaurant, and we will absolutely be back! Oh, also the spicy lemonade is outstanding (it’s spiced with ginger and it’s incredible)
Loved the food here. It has lots of healthy options and good portions. I had chicken curry with cauliflower rice which I have not seen in a restaurant before. My wife had beef brisket soup. We all (4 of us) enjoyed our food. My wife is Asian and lots of Asians were also eating there which we took as a good sign. If you like Asian food its a good choice.. We will go again when next in Newcastle.
I don’t normally leave reviews, but I had to this time because my experience at Pho this afternoon was genuinely outstanding - and it was entirely thanks to the incredible service from the staff, and especially from Tolu. From the moment we were seated, Tolu was attentive, warm, and genuinely engaged. He didn’t just take our order - he made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at exactly the right moments without ever being intrusive, and made us feel completely looked after. What really stood out was his attention to detail and professionalism. He anticipated what we needed before we even asked, kept everything running seamlessly, and created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Service of that standard is rare. From my experience, Tolu is a huge asset to this restaurant and truly deserves recognition for the service he delivered. If Pho has an Employee of the month, he should absolutely be considered. We’ll definitely be back Pho sure, and it’s largely because of him 👏🏻
Absolutely delicious beef pho! So tasty, especially with a bit of chilli oil and fish sauces added. The cucumber spritz mocktail was very nice and refreshing as well. Staff were friendly and attentive. I went for lunch alone and got put in a nice cosy corner which I appreciated. Now atmosphere, very fast service.
I really enjoyed it here. The food was lovely, fresh, and full of flavour, and not too expensive for what you get. The summer rolls were the star of the show for me, absolutely delicious! The service was 10/10. Super friendly and genuinely helpful throughout. Would definitely return.
Simply delicious. We had the traditional soup dishes but you always leave full but nice full, no bloating. It's gorgeous food and if you're watching the calories, superb! Staff are really friendly without being intrusive, and the drinks are insanely tasty. You have to try the Siagon cider and the coconut pineapple martini. Cannot recommend enough.
Great vibe, lovely food. Love the urban, industrial look. The food delicious. Staff fab! Lewis was very attentive in the drinks we wanted and could advise well! I love a good red wine! Will defo be back
Genuinely one of the best meals out I have ever had. Cannot believe they had only been ‘open’ two days! Imogen was fantastic, looked after us really well and seemed so genuine!
Welcome day here at Pho Newcastle. Food was great! We had 4 starters and 4 mains. Service was great! Despite the restaurant' s first day, the food was on the table very quickly. Martin, one of the waiters, was very friendly and helpful. Overall super nice taste, recommended if you 've very never tried Vietnamese food.
Have been looking forward to this place opening and when we got a 50% off introductory offer we booked quickly for a Saturday lunchtime. Just as well as it was full and people were being turned away at the door. Friendly welcome with a good atmosphere. We weren't sure about what to order as our first time at a Vietnamese restaurant but were helped by our waiter Zara. Had starters of seafood spring rolls - gorgeous and beef betel - also gorgeous and very large portion! I had chicken wok fried noodles which disappeared quickly and he had the chicken pho - noodle soup. It was very good but hard to eat without it going everywhere so I'd advise you to not wear white!! Daz chose a local beer and we drank the whole carafe of water as the meals were pretty spicy! Would have been £59 but we got it for half price. They encourage you to use chopsticks which is fine for me but of they see you struggling they will bring cutlery. Excellent service by Zara and indeed all the staff and this couple were well and truly stuffed with great food 😀
The atmosphere was exceptional. The establishment provided excellent service, characterized by politeness, friendliness, and efficiency. The appetizers were outstanding and exceptionally flavorful. The main courses were also quite good and aesthetically pleasing. In summary, I recommend it based on the positive experience.
The best gluten free place we have ever been to. Absolutely fantastic, we were spoilt for choice for food! The atmosphere is great and fosters a good mood environment. The food was amazing, and filled with flavour! I had the chicken spice curry as a main, so much flavour and we will defo return. Lewis, our sever was attentive, friendly and super approachable. His friendly manner made us feel at ease, thanks bud!
All was fab, will be new fav place. Food is delicious, nice atmosphere, all was served very fast. Highly recommend to try cocktail with dragon fruit purée 👌 Hope you’ll be lucky to come here on Kiko’s shift, she’s absolute star, so nice, smiling and helpful. Separately 5 out of 5 to her ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pho Newcastle has quickly become our favorite dining spot in the city. The atmosphere is both imaginative and inviting, with effective lighting and warm red colors throughout, making it instantly welcoming. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the customer service is exceptional, setting a new standard for dining experiences. As regular patrons of Pho restaurants, we’re thrilled that Newcastle now boasts its own location. The food quality remains consistently high, with fresh ingredients and deep-tasting broths that make each dish delightful. The desserts are simply to die for! A special thanks to manager Max, whose dedication has been instrumental in opening this restaurant. Pho Newcastle is now our go-to place, and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you!
Tolu and Jess were our servers and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner with staff regularly checking we were ok. Great value for money
Food was soo good and flavourful, especially fried rice was yum ♥️
Super friendly staff. Front of house took care of us immediately, explained the food and concept. Our service Kiko and Tolu were very sweet and took great care of everything. Food was nice, great standard. I had the Bun Bo Hue which was great
This is hands down the best Pho restaurant in town! The decor is beautiful, the food is fresh and full of flavor, and Kiko is incredibly friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend it enough!
Shasank was an amazing server and so accommodating for my partner who is a picky eater but still wanted to eat long side me and my friend. He was very kind, engaging and attentive! Would definitely come back again for food!!
Our server Kiko was very engaging and cheerful. Made us feel more than welcome here. The food was great and the staff are great too
So pleased that Pho have opened site in Newcastle. Went along for soft opening & it was great, just as we expected. Have eaten in many of their other sites around the Uk & this definitely lived up to expectations. Imogen our server was excellent, everything was great especially considering only open a couple of days.
We loved our first visit to Pho. From the minute we arrived, staff were lovely, helpful, and accommodating (1x GF diner). Our waiter was Tolu and he is a real asset due to his friendliness, menu knowledge and overall demeanour. We’ll definitely return.
Came here to celebrate new year/ late valentines and it was as delicious as always. Food and atmosphere both lovely. May was very attentive and gave us excellent service :)
Great food as always. Kiko was super friendly and very helpful, finding us a table eve though we didn’t have a booking and the restaurant was busy. 5 star customer service.
All 3 courses of the food was amazing and the service was outstanding too. Tolu was really lovely and helpful and helpful can help choose dishes. He was kind and courteous.
Awesome food at great prices. Business traveller in need of a table for 1. First experience of Vietnamese food and so glad I tried. Morning Glory, Deep Fried Baby Squid, Pork Meatballs… all the food I tried was delicious. Visited several times during my stay in Newcastle. Prices were very reasonable too. If you’re in need of a taste sensation definitely give Pho a try.
Tolu was an incredible waiter, super attentive and accommodating. He adjusted my main course and added extra spice to my dish, which was absolutely perfect. Only downside was that it was quite busy and loud, but the great food and service more than made up for it!
Excellent food. Came in early on a Saturday evening and got a table before the night rush. Servers were friendly, but service was quite slow. I don't mind that, but unfortunately we were in a hurry as we were at a concert afterwards. However, the food is very good and we would definitely return. The prices are a little steep, £15 for a curry, and £5-6;, for a small beer. But the quality of the food means it was worth it.
We had a great lunch, we will definitely be back. We have the spicy tofu pho, vegetarian spring rolls, and this isn’t chicken rice bowl. Everything was really tasty, great to have another place like this in town. The service was generally pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place for vegetarians.
Decent food, plenty of gluten free coeliac options to choose from. Pleasant atmosphere.
I got a veggie juice which was amazing I loved it so much, however the noodle soup was very undercooked and came out really fast. So the noodles and fake meat were kinda hard. The staff were wonderful I'll add, so lovely. Id recommend making the prices lower, smaller potions of soup and cooking them longer.
Small portion - nice ambience - tough meat Depending on your preference, this might or might not be a good restaurant. If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese place, then this is not but if you look looking for a place to with a nice ambience, then this might be a place for you. Although the Service is not really the best. The taste of the food is acceptable but the meat is tough and portion really small For the price they charge. We ordered mostly pho (the signature dish ) also some of the dry noodles.
Great food but really disappointing service. We came to eat here tonight after hearing good things and wanting to try Pho for the first time. The restaurant itself is really nice, the food is delicious however we were so disappointed by the service. We only wanted a bottle of water for the table however we waited for 15 mins and our server never came back. Once we did get the attention of a server they took our food orders but we had to ask again about ordering drinks as nothing had arrived yet. The food arrived pretty quickly, starters and mains at the same time. We had the Crispy pork spring rolls with peanut sauce ..they were to die for! 100% recommend trying these. We asked again at this point if we could have some water but this server also never returned with anything. Our Pho was really lovely, very big portions and perfectly hot but we had to try again a few times to flag down a staff member to ask for some additional cutlery. Still no water arrived. After another 10 mins of trying to flag someone down we managed to ask a 3rd time for water which was then brought to us from the bar in a matter of seconds. We appreciate the restaurant was busy, it is the Christmas period however we really felt forgotten about and ignored during our time there. Maybe if we had been ordering wine or cocktails instead of water we wouldn't have been forgotten about? Despite the food being great I don't think we will be returning.
