A nice anniversary date, good food, great views and outstanding service. Ever was the best and the patio was a great choice.

Louie's by the Bay is a total gem. The location is amazing, situated right on the water. I came in for happy hour and ordered the meatballs, which were to die for. ​What stood out just as much as the food was the service. It was a total team effort—from the server to the runner—and everyone was incredibly polite and on top of things. One server even noticed my table was a little wobbly and immediately grabbed a piece of cardboard to shore up the foot. It’s that kind of proactive attention to detail that makes for a truly high-quality experience. ​If you go, definitely try to get a table outside next to the fire pit. Enjoying the bay view while feeling the warmth of the fire was an absolutely delightful experience.

We had our company’s Christmas party here and the food was amazing. We were given a Lobster 🦞 upgrade to our meal choice (Filet Mignon or Salmon) and the Lobsters were massive. Sitting on the deck was great also to watch the boat parade scoot across the bay as well. The only bummer of the night was the valet - we got told when we arrived that there was no space and to go park across the street at Wells Fargo

Andy made a great meal even greater! Just moved Louie’s to the top of my list for the area’s best restaurant! You will be pleasantly surprised! I had the pork chop, it was BOMB! Wifee had the filet which was prepared perfectly!

If you’re a seafood lover combined with Italian in Orange County, this restaurant is a must try! The decor is rustic. It almost feels like entering a Big Bear getaway. I was here for dinner but I’m sure during the day it’ll be a whole different vibe with the dock views, etc. Service was great, the person helping us out was on top of all the service specials and was very attentive. The Eggplant Parmesan is a must try for appetizers. The mains were good for the most part. They had a seared scallop on special. Also tried the pesto pasta with chicken which was bomb. The chicken parm is not what I would highly recommend. We really wanted to try the Lobster Ravioli but they had sold out. Will definitely come back for more.

Fabulous service and very attentive. The restaurant overlooks Newport Bay. Very cute and cozy. Well kept restaurant. Service was top notch! Food was fantastic. Fresh made. Every dish was very delicious and carefully made. The oysters were Fanny Bay. We ordered the Fritto Misto, oysters, risotto, and the veggie quiche. All were tasty. The Fritto Misto is a must get! The batter on it was perfectly coated. The zucchini was so fresh, crispy, juicy but there were only 2 pieces in the plate! Parking is only valet. The dining area was very organized and well kept. I would definitely come back again. Service was phenomenal. You will definitely enjoy yourself!

Love all the food. Great service and atmosphere. Id definitely come back. Favorite dish was the shrimp pesto pasta. Giant shrimp thats perfectly cooked.

This is a must try. Top notch food and drinks. Formerly known as The Ritz, but now with a new face lift and under a new name. Food is cooked to order. Can't say enough of this restaurant. The food is delicious, the buzz of the people. I like the indoor and outdoor seating. Open spaces. Ypu can enjoy the boats and the marina. But just like the food, drinks and desserts are good. I cannot pass up the opportunity to say how good the service is. Our waiter Andy was excellent, as always, he explained the menu thoroughly and he suggested the best dishes. Helping him was Fernando as well, very courteous and polite. Please do your self a favor, and trat yourself to this place. You won't regret it. It is an upscale place, but you will enjoy it. Also, my suggestion is to pay the valet, it's worth it. Reservations are recommend it. Enjoy!

Stunning waterfront view and some of Newport Beach's best Italian food! Prime steak at a table on the water with a fine dining atmosphere. The whole staff at Louie's delivers five star customer service. This restaurant is a continual favorite for dinner on the water, in Newport.

This was a wonderful find. We were early for a dinner reservation somewhere else and stopped in for the happy hour. The drinks were amazing, especially the espresso martini (best I've ever had and I'm picky with them), so much we returned after dinner for another round lol. Food was delicious and we can't wait to come back and try more.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We were late getting our reserved table, so our hostess Rachel (?) delivered a special treat to our table as a thanks for our patience. The dinners and drinks were great and our server Ernest was so attentive. We felt very special. Highly recommend!

The restaurant was beautifully decorated with a modern aesthetic and great views of yachts in the marina. We ordered the cioppino, ahi tuna, and the Wagyu burger, all of which were excellent. We also enjoyed bottomless sparkling wine. The staff was attentive, and our glasses were never empty. Unfortunately, the visit ended on a sour note. After spending an extra 10 minutes picking up pastries and coffee next door, the valet attendant gave us a hard time for not notifying him. He warned us that next time we’d be charged $25. Well, guess what—there won’t be a next time. The attitude was unnecessary and left a bad taste after an otherwise great meal. Edit: owner messaged and clarified that the valet was operated by the property management company. I do believe this restaurant deserves a higher rating and we will come back and try again next time.

I was disappointed with the steak’s flavor; it tasted underseasoned and lacked any flavor. The presentation was even worse, as seen in the picture. A few other folks from our group ordered the steak and had the same opinion. The desert was good.

What a disappointment breakfast was! We were looking forward to a nice breakfast after the passing of a family member so we picked this place since we love the water and Newport Beach. We heard their happy hour is fabulous but they sure missed with their brunch. Trying to be good and healthy so I ordered the sea bass over cauliflower. Super bland, needed salt & pepper but it still didn't help. My second choice would have been the quiche. My friend ordered it and was also disappointed. Bland and flavorless. So much for being good (and still hungry) we opted for the dessert trio. So THIS was amazing! I can't even decide which of the 3 we liked best because we devoured the ENTIRE plate! The espresso martini was a hit, too. Just a big miss with the meal. And to top it off, it was $150 EACH! Yikes! Hoping the hubby doesn't read this review!

As an Italian restaurant, it doesn’t seem like they have a person who knows Italian food, and if they have one, that person must have gotten a heart attack after seeing how they cooked my pasta. - As an appetizer, the tartare was just ok, nothing special - The lasagna looked good at first, big portion with lots of meat, but the barely-there sauce was tasteless and didn’t have enough cheese, more than anything the whole thing was soggy - quite a disappointment as I love lasagna and really wanted it to be good - While the chicken in the chicken parm was great, the pasta accompanying it was a disaster. It was overcooked with a subpar pomodoro sauce that I hope was straight from a can - I really hope they didn’t waste time making that from scratch! - Short ribs tasted great but def needed more time to be cooked to perfection - Smoked roasted chicken was flavorful, but too dry for the price They had a steak section in their menu and, I have to say, the steak served to other tables looked good but I went to an Italian restaurant to have Italian food, not steak. Maybe change the description to steakhouse and save yourself from reviews like mine? Overall, ok restaurant with great ambiance, but they need to revisit their menu and add food that they know how to make.

First off the service was terrible absolutely terrible. I guess our table didn't order enough for the waiter to care to come and check on us. He forgot to bring us many items that we requested. The food, don't be fooled by the pics, well the food is left to be desired. Chicken parm tasted old it was cold. Lasagna was cold in the middle, leads me to believe that it is microwaved. The spaghetti bolognese was okay but again cold... the Caesar salad was standard pretty good... when visiting Newport Beach there are way better Italian food places to go to , in particular Mama D's kills it over this place... if you want overpriced microwaved Italian food this place is for you otherwise skip it.... 👎👎🤢🤮

I wish I could give more stars. First visit. Since it was Valentine’s Day I am assuming that is why there was no food available between 3 and 5. Had a margarita and tasted off but probably was the tequila that I didn’t specify. But service so bad. Had to flag bartender down for just the one drink. Never came back.
