Had lunch here after a doctors appointment and everything was so perfect I felt like it helped heal me. I came in for brunch but since it was Tuesday it was just the regular menu. The regular menu looked so good I changed gears and got the Mac & cheese. It was so bomb. Perfect bar service. Perfect atmosphere and vibe. The bartender Alexia was a rock star. Friendly fast and efficient. Thanks for a wonderful experience Granville!
This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! The atmosphere is fun and I love the artwork outside and within the restaurant. Their bar seating is nice and I love the overall vibe of the place. They have an amazing happy hour from 3-6 on weekdays. Great spot to kick back and enjoy drinks and delicious food.
The place is really cool and has such a fun vibe. We have been waiting for it to open and allow for indoor seating for so long. We were able to walk in and get a table on a Friday night, which I don't think will last very long as it gets more popular. The drinks were SO good. I got the Palomita and the food came out super fast. Stella was our server and she was awesome! She was super attentive and also so fun to chat with! I highly recommend the grilled cheese dippers and the black and blue burger. My husband ordered the granville salad with ahi and said it was the best he's ever had!
Great place. Went there for happy hour.
Top notch! Great food. Good options for Vegetarians - they offer plant-based chicken to substitute for any chicken dish. I had the Cream of Tomato Soup with Basil - best tomato soup ever! Paired with their bread it was perfect!
We come here a lot and enjoy the menu. Stella is our favorite server. She is very attentive and friendly and always goes above and beyond! We love coming here and are glad it's in our neighborhood!
Incredible service. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. I got the plant-based breakfast sandwich with potatoes, and it was AMAZING. Some very fun cocktails as well. GREAT place for a date or meal with a friend.
Love the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. Food was delicious and orders were accurate. Great service by all staff.
I love this place! Food is always so great and cocktails are very tasty!
Second time at this location. We like the food and decor. Reserved a table for 12 on the second floor. Wanted 6:30 but where told 7:30 will have the table for sure. Had to wait for an hour and no table. Finally got a table downstairs, managers attitude "horrible " Take it or leave it. We reserved the place for a surprise party. Very unprofessional by the "manager." We were told by the manager that reservation is a request not a garantee.
Went here for date night with my boyfriend who has celiac disease (An immune reaction to eating gluten). So, we were very excited when we saw so many gluten free items on the menu. We let our waiter know that he had an allergy to gluten and our waiter was very knowledgeable and informed the kitchen. Was great getting to eat out together and not have to worry about any cross contamination.
Pork chop, mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, mac and cheese were all excellent. Penicillin mixed drink was solid. Great service.
I’m a huge fan of Granville! My first date was at Granville, I had my post-wedding dinner there, and even celebrated my one-month anniversary with a dinner at this amazing place. I absolutely love the atmosphere, the food quality, and the incredible taste. It’s a special spot for me, and it never disappoints!
Delicious meals all around, good portions and yummy cocktails! I had the artisan bread with homemade butter and sea salt which was divine! The chicken noodle soup with mushroom matzo ball was also so tasty! My friends all enjoyed their meals too! Parking is tough but there is valet that's only $8 with validation. We're definitely planning on coming back again!
I have been three times since they started the soft open. Love it so much! Everything I've had to eat there is so good it's almost hard to know what to order. Really great drinks. Everyone is very friendly. And the atmosphere with all the murals, the bar wall, and all the windows just makes it a really stellar dining experience!!
This review is long overdue, we recently moved to the NoHo area, and while exploring the eats and offerings of the neighborhood we visited Granville during our first month here. WOW WOW WOW! The food, the ambiance, the drinks, and the service are always TOP NOTCH! it wasn't until recently that we found out they are also open all weekend for Brunch and the brunch menu is also amazing. The way all the menu items mingle with each other in flavors and textures, really allows you to be adventurous in what type of experience you want to have with the food. The drinks are also ace! some of the best ones in that entire block (we have gone to 99% of the bars and establishments on this block already) and the bar staff at Grandville is fantastic! they are true mixologists who know which perfect drink will pair up with the menu or your mood. The food is an array of comfort foods but elevated to gastropub modern Americana style, like their Artisan Bread with duck fat butter is out of this world and a must every time we visit. The Wagyu burgers are total self-pampering bites in a bun. The thick-cut pork chop is heavenly and so comforting with the cloud light mash potatoes and delicate greens. Brunch items are made with as much care and love as the regular menu, the eggs are fluffy and wonderfully seasoned as are their bacon, sausages, and other offerings that come with the breakfast items. If you have a sweet tooth, Grandville also has you covered here, and although its a smaller selection you will not be disappointed (I highly recommend the Lickety Split!) This place is one of our all-time favorites and we are finding it hard to stay away (currently coming in once a week) Dont sleep on this place!
My new favorite restaurant! I've been to two Granvilles so far and I strongly believe that THIS is the one to beat. I forgot the name of it, but the bleu cheese bacon burger was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had, and the fries were seasoned to perfection. The drinks are also on point. Excellent service, great vibes, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience overall. I will be coming back to try the rest of their menu!
Granville is an absolute standout. The bar is exceptionally beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. Every interaction reflected pride in their work and in the neighborhood—true and extraordinary representatives of the local community. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish.
Loved it. Started with Artisan Bread & Butter, Grilled Cheese Dipper, and Brussels Sprouts, all three were superb 👌. Entrées were Thick-Cut Pork Chop, Granville Skirt Steak, Angel Hair Pasta, and Salmon Filet. All were prepared perfectly. Drinks were the Gran Fashioned and Cucumber Martini, which were both expertly crafted with generous pours. Great value, lovely atmosphere, delicious food. We will be back again. Thank you for the great experience.
We've been to a couple of other Granville locations and were excited to try this new North Hollywood spot. We weren't disappointed. It's in the heart of North Hollywood, walking distance to and from anything you could want to do in that part of town (and the Metro Red Line stop.) The atmosphere is fantastic...we sat up stairs with a great view of their epic looking 2 story bar. The service was top-notch and everyone loved what we had to eat and drink. I had the Uptown Mac and Cheese with vegan chicken. (And how cool that they have plant based protein options to add in!) Honestly the Mac and Cheese was great on it's own and didn't need a "meat" protein of any kind...really hearty and tasty. The cocktails were fantastic too. I had the California Love (a gin based cocktail which was really refreshing) and my wife had the Medicina (a mezcal based drink which any doctor would be a fool not to order.) This is among the nicest places to eat in North Hollywood with a great menu full of vegetarian options, along with so many drink possibilities. You can't go wrong here!
An inviting atmosphere. Great staff and service. Our waitress took good care of us in terms of drinks, appetizers, and main meals. The food was well-presented and organized on a plate. It was tasty and proper temperature. Highly recommend to try it out. Be careful about parking it can get very tricky if it’s a leak time.
Good spot for date night. Had the beef stroganoff and a glass of Malbec. Dinner was tasty and I’d definitely come back to explore the rest of the menu. Dim lighting, good food, friendly staff. Restrooms were very clean as well. Limited street parking.
This place is truly a vibe. The food is great, the drinks are fun, they have wine on tap, and great spirit options at the bar. I’ve only been for lunch and dinner, but definitely want to go back for brunch soon. You have to find street parking, or park in the tiny lot next to the building. I highly recommend parking in the free parking lot across the street at Amazon fresh and taking the 3 minute walk to the restaurant. You’ll have 2hrs free parking on Amazon.
Well, Granville has now opened a location in the NoHo Arts District and wow is it impressive! Of all the locations I've been to, this one absolutely takes the cake with its two-story bar with an almost hidden dining area/bar behind the second level. Amazing views and atmosphere. We were very impressed and super excited to dine at the downstairs bar. I absolutely have to hand it to them. Highly recommend!
New favorite brunch spot in NoHo. Hands down. Amazing location, huge menu with plenty of vegan and non vegan options that are equally delicious. Taiya was my server the first time I was there and her awesome personality and attention toward us made me want to come back just as much as the incredible food and amazing drinks. I’ve now friend most of the drinks in the brunch menu, and they’re all incredible. I look forward to going back every time. Pictures are the chilaquiles (vegan) and the vegan version of the breakfast sandwich.
Friendly service, great vibe/decor, delicious food and well made cocktails! This place is definitely worth a try even if you just stop in for one their signature drinks. We got the Santa Barbara grilled chicken sandwich with fries and the wagyu steak stroganoff to eat. The tipsy lemonade and pineapple jalapeño margarita to drink. We also got two other cocktails not pictured, their version of the old fashioned and one named after Jimmy Hendrix. I’m looking forward to trying their nitro cold brew espresso martini in the future!
I came here to eat with my family for the first time and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was so cool. The food was amazing, thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely return. I highly recommend.
This is definitely a place worth going to. Great location though parking can be tricky. Ambience, service and food quality is unmatched! The cheese and mac appetizer is an absolute must have. We got seated in the upstairs section. Nice decor, very chic and laid back. It's not often that everything about a place is just spot on but at this place on that day it was! I don't always post pics but on this one I have. Go spoil yourself!
Came for a birthday dinner with 14 people and everyone was happy and pleased. Drinks were really good and strong. Everyone liked the appetizers, especially the Mac n cheese, bread and butter, mushrooms and sweet potato fries. The spicy pasta was really good but pretty spicy. We weren’t told we would be charged for both chicken and shrimp since we asked for half chicken half shrimp. The skirt steak was really good as well. The angel hair pasta was okay, some people really liked it others thought it was just okay. Our server was really nice and attentive. Music was loud but not annoyingly loud. The two story restaurant is nice inside and the bar is huge. The gratuity automatically added to bill was 20% which seems high but service was great so we didn’t mind.
You will not be disappointed. This is mine and my BF’s fav place to eat in the area. The Brussel sprouts are our FAV appetizer. I love the Bacon and Blue burger with the Spicy Pineapple Margarita drink. I will say that the Glendale location is spot on with the recipes but Glendale makes a far better Espresso Martini.
I really loved this location. The food and service was great. The atmosphere is awesome for a date night out or just to hangout and talk. Definitely coming back. So I came back. I added more pictures, as always great service and awesome food.
I always have a great experience overall when I dine with Granville. I've gone to multiple locations and they're all great. The food, the service, the vibe and atmosphere are fantastic.
Beautiful place, went during the day, I got the burger with house potatoes and a cocktail. Great variety of cocktails (price range $14-17). Great place to enjoy a delicious meal and a drink at a very reasonable price.
Been here a couple times, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I have found all of their locations to be so dependable for the quality of their menu items overall, and this spot is no exception. Only reason I’d give anything less than 5 stars was the difficult to see lighting where we sat, and I wish the volume was just a bit quieter. I think Susie served us this time, and she was extremely on top of it. Will be returning!
What are great place to have dinner with friends and family. The staff are extremely professional and give you top quality service. Sat at the bar and had one of the best dinners with my mother as well as the wonderful bartender that couldn't stop talking to us (in the best way). Genuine interest in a random customers conversation is as rare as it is refreshing when going to a restaurant. They also gave us incredible recommendations! Had the Bacon & Blue burger and the nitro cold brew espresso martini. Both are 10/10 Will definitely be coming back!!
Made reservations to Granville and was seated upstairs in the loft area. First let me say how well appointed this restaurant is with its decor, seating and layout. All of the staff were friendly and attentive and a tip of the hat to the chef for the outstanding food. Likewise, we thoroughly noticed the timing of drinks, appetizers and main dishes so that you were not food bombed. Well done and will visit again when in North Hollywood. Thank you.
We were there for the first time and we liked everything. Beautiful interior, lots of seats. It is better to book a table on weekends. By 7 pm the hall on the second floor was already full and it was quite noisy. It was cool in the hall and we were a little cold. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was good. The prices are normal for a restaurant. We were hungry and we were so full of the main course that we did not want to take dessert. We will definitely come back to you. I recommend. Please forward this review to anyone who might be interested in visiting this place.
Granville North Hollywood is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming with a stylish, modern vibe. The staff is always friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food is consistently excellent—fresh ingredients, generous portions, and full of flavor. I highly recommend the bacon and blue burger and the trio tacos but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Their cocktails are also top-notch, and the outdoor seating area makes for a perfect dining experience, especially in the evenings. This place has become one of my go-to spots in NoHo. Highly recommended!
Great restaurant. I love the ambience and inside as well as outside decoration. Service is fast and friendly. Food is fresh and healthy. Ordered from the brunch menu the smoked salmon and rye crisps, and wagyu birria tacos... Very yummy😋 Also got the poke bowl from lunch menu. Very delicious. I love how they use noodles instead of rice 😋

Great local spot. I feel that (now) they have massage their way into the arts district and thank god they did. Wine selection by the glass is good and fairly priced. Their butter lettuce cups with the Sancerre is excellent. I added the chicken to mine. Their staff works hard and are friendly so it’s easy to be patient if sometimes it takes a while to be greeted. I’ve almost always always sat at the bar in mid afternoon/early evening. Good happy hour! The valet out in front may give a different impression to Noho Arts district regulars. But I’m glad they came closer to me.
OMG, everything was great. I was visiting from Maryland and asked our hotel concierge to recommend a good spot to eat. The menu was deliciously eclectic with details of where the fish and meats were sourced. The pairing with vegetables and side dishes were well thought out. And the beverages, especially the cocktails were excellent. Atmosphere was good, upbeat but not overly so. You could have a conversation and not have to compete with the music. The staff was attentive. Looks like the perfect place to have a good meal, or hang out or plan a celebration. My only regret is they don't have a Granville in the MD, DC, or VA. If they did I would be there now.
This place is amazing. The ambience is wonderful the staff is very very nice. Nice variety of dishes. The roof has a great vibe and open bar. They have heaters for the winter. I have had the opportunity to go in the kitchen several times they keep a very very clean kitchen. The kitchen staff the cooks the chef all amazing people. Extremely friendly

My food was delicious. Drinks were good, and the server was friendly. The price for the meal was too expensive for light fare. It was so dark I had to use my flashlight to see the menu.
What a great restaurant!! Having to find parking would completely deter me from coming here again, but my experience after actually getting there was quite nice. The food is great and the drink selection was impressive. As long as I don't have to get there myself and park, I'd come again.
Nice decor, good service, all with Secret Service earpieces for some reason. Good drink selection and decent beer. But brunch food seemed a bit odd. Eggs are in these patty things. Breakfast sandwich is impossible to cut in half btw, maybe offer a steak knife when it's clearly being split?
I'm gluten free, had great options! Food was awesome except the flour less chocolate cake, the mints at the end tasted better than the $10 slice of cake.
I've been to a few of the other Granville's at Studio City and Burbank so wanted to try out this one as it's one of the newer locations. The outside is extremely colorful compared to other ones. I'm not sure I'm crazy about all the colors.... on the fence. Granville have some great cocktails you should try if you enjoy cocktails. The Aviation cocktail is the one I usually order as it's lemony in taste. I haven't been too adventurous trying the other ones, from memory there are about 10 different cocktails to choose from. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. I had the Salmon that was so yummy indeed! And from our other guests the burgers and New York Steak was also yummy. One thing to note is the sweet potato fries. I've had sweet potato fries at many restaurants and I have to say that these were the most memorable. Firstly, they are not the easiest to master as I've tried to replicate them at home and it's never the same. So now I know where to go, to a Granville Restaurant and enjoy the professionals skill. Another shareable besides the sweet potato fries is the hummus plate. It's very tasty and again we just ordered two of each for four people and it was plenty so we still had space for our main course. For dessert the berry shortcake was perfect and light for me. Others at the table indulged in chocolate themed desserts that looked rich but they finished every single bite. I gave a four star rating as the parking wasn't great as we had to walk for miles and my Salmon was rare on the inside so I sent it back. It was ultimately delicious but I like my salmon cooked through. We're probably going to try the other Granville's in the area and see which one is best as it's been a while since we went to the other two.
I came here for a brunch. The food is okay, but the prices are too high for the neighborhood. I ordered the shareable mimosas, which came in an un-rinsed carafe (think dust and bugs). Thankfully, the manager comped them, but I was still charged for the drinks that replaced them. Ultimately, I paid $70 for 3 mimosas and a salad. Okay, fine, but when I tried to pay, the tip options were only 3, 5, and 7%. When I questioned the waitress about this, she admitted they'd already charged me an automatic 20% gratuity, and those were additional tipping options. It's still a beautiful restaurant with pretty good food, but for not being very busy on a Saturday afternoon, the service could have been a lot better.
I believe they just opened this location. My friend suggested it. They have plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. Their dishes(appetizers, lunch, dinner, pastas burgers, salad, etc.) range from $10-50. We ordered Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Typically, restaurants will go with a sweet glaze/sauce for their Brussels. Here they coated their Brussels with a lemon vinaigrette which I enjoyed a lot. I went with the grilled salmon. It was served with a bed of corn and mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked well, the flavor was there but definitely needed some acidity in my opinion(I asked for lemon). The sides were good, comparable to any other new American restaurant. Will def stop in again to try other dishes. I also got the Tipsy Lemonade, wished I got more for the price, $16. The waiter was super nice and checked in on us regularly. There’s two levels and it seemed like they had a large adult beverage selection. I think it would be a nice date spot.
Obsessed with the vibe of this place! It is relatively new and feels that way for sure. The lighting is moody and aesthetic and the whole dining layout is visually interesting. I like how there are also tables of all sizes to accommodate various parties. If you have been to Granville in Burbank which is nice already, this location feels classier and fancier. The food (especially the artisan bread and butter) is delicious. I appreciated how easily customizable the meals were. I swapped brussel sprouts with my steak for a salad and my friend swapped one of her sides as well with no grief. They also have a nice happy hour menu, not a lot of variety there but reasonable price cuts. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was a little slow but everyone was friendly and helpful. It isn’t a huge restaurant because although it is two stories, the second floor has a huge opening to enjoy the alcohol/light feature. My party made a reservation and it worked out great. We got there early and got drinks at the bar until our table was ready and easily relocated. If you want to go out to a fun and tasty spot, I recommend this place!
We were greeted by our server comma bartender Nick. He was friendly helpful and Johnny on the spot. The Ambiance was very nice. We really enjoyed the feel of the place and all of the people that we encountered were very friendly. The food was fairly average for what we had. I should say for what I had my wife really did enjoy the three taco plate. I had the cheeseburger and I would give it a c. I had ordered it medium rare it was on the more well done side of medium. And I felt that the bread to meet ratio was not very good. We will be back however we have been to other granville's and like the food in general. It may have been just a bad day for me or for the burger:-).
Had the stroganoff...delicious, though it was a bit too salty. Brussels were so delicious! Great service!!! I will return here or to one of the other locations...most likely Pasadena
Surprisingly good brunch, from the very tasty beet salad, to the scrambled eggs and New York strip, which were both cooked perfectly to order. The steak was of an exquisite flavor and wonderfully tender cut, the epitome of rare with light salt and pepper. Meanwhile, tomato bisque was creamy and accentuated the glorious sandwich. A bite of pure cane sugar bacon from the sandwich elevated the eggs but was no competition for the steak. Cocktails eschewed the tea and rootbeer made good companions. Seated at the front, windows open, three people watching was an enjoyable distraction but it didn't take long for either the appetizer salad of beets with praline pecans and feta on a bed of micro greens to arrive. Timed perfectly with demolishing that was the appearance of the soup/sandwich and steak, eggs, and taters. A fine repast indeed. Not at all crowded in a Sunday morning, a big departure from the evening din of crowds.
Perfect location, walking distance to my son's condo, valet parking if you are driving, open windows, muffled noise, excellent service from Susie, and the bread with duck butter was very delicious. On the negative note the Angel hair pasta was soupy, garlicy, and mushy then costly dinner for two.
Very trendy. Food was decent. I had the Rustic Steak Sandwich with homemade Chips. The brisket was good. Not too fatty. Pretty good flavor. But it was supposed to have blue cheese on it and there was only one bite where I actually tasted blue cheese. The aioli was supposed to have horseradish in it, but I couldn't taste any. Even tasting it alone. The brioche bun was good. Quality ingredients, but the flavor just wasn't there. The homemade chips were good. On the thicker side. The server, Leigh Ann, was very good. Very attentive, friendly, and kind. Parking in this area is very difficult. There's very little street parking available and it's all metered. But they have valet parking!!! Update: returned for a second visit and I'm just not impressed. The service and atmosphere remain excellent. I recommend you try for yourself, but I doubt I will go back. I had the Beef Stroganoff this time. Very rich but the flavors just weren't there. Served with fried onion on top which is odd. This is one of my all-time favorite dishes and it just doesn't have much of the traditional flavors. Just a rich mess. It was supposed to have horseradish in it, but I never tasted it. My friend had the Poblano Quinoa and he said it wqs decent but would not order it again.
The food was excellent, and the service was not. The kitchen was out of a bunch of menu items, and there seemed to only be one server during brunch, which meant every table was ignored, to some extent. I really wanted to like this place, but the service was so slow, and they were out of so many menu items, I will not be back.
Went in with my partner last weekend on 6/10 and was served by a really sweet server and she was 10/10 amazing so I feel bad leaving this review. But when I got ready to go to the bathroom I went downstairs and went to take photos of the bar because it was so pretty and the male bartenders behind the bar gave me the worst looks and almost scoffed- I’m sure a lot of people have been taking photos of the bar but the faces they made at me were so unnecessary- I didn’t even pull my phone out all the way and just went straight to the bathroom. I felt super uncomfortable and so unwelcomed the remainder of my visit. This new location for Granville is gorgeous but Studio City bartenders at the very least smile at you.
Love granville generally. Had an ok first visit. Some odd pricings & offering decisions on the menu. They very much insist on that bottom bar area being restaurant style bar seating rather than leaning into the casual nature of noho. It could be the best of both worlds.
While the service and atmosphere were fantastic, we were really disappointed by the food. We ordered stake sandwich and burger, but unfortunately the meat in both didn't smell fresh and lacked seasoning, especially considering the price. The setting and service were top-notch, but the food didn’t meet expectations. This way, you're clearly conveying both the positives and the areas that need improvement!
The food never disappoints at Granville. Staff seem less knowledgeable at this location, but are very friendly. Wine selection was limited. Delicious draft beers. Cocktail menu could benefit from a refresh. If you're going for DineLA: This year's menu isn't as great as previous years, but still a REALLY great value if that's what you're looking for.
Food took 30 minutes with no checkup from the waitress. Not even a "sorry for the wait, kitchen was slammed." It wasn't till we asked what's going on that the food miraculously came out. Great food but lousy care from the waitress we had. Hopefully, the other waiters and waitresses are more attentive.
2 for service 3 food 4 ambience We had to relocate our bridal shower due to rain and this is what we came to last minute. One thing that makes or breaks a restaurant is service and I will not be returning or suggesting any large parties here anytime soon. We went on a slow rainy Saturday morning and I will say it was slow over 50% of our area was empty. We were probably the only large party at the time 6. The timing of ordering was horrible and threw the whole timing off. They barely came to our table to ask if we needed more drinks or how the food was. Suzee was less than average in terms of service. Sounded annoyed half the time we ran her down to attend to us. The tip is also included to large parties so that probably = service. Poor. Location is decent, parking is bad. Drinks were okay food was good. Wont be back!
I visited for lunch today and ordered the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, bread and butter, and the black and blue burger. The food was quite good, and the atmosphere felt lively and airy. Service was decent, though there was a mix-up with my cocktail order. I asked for a Rye Manhattan and definitely received an Old Fashioned instead. My drink also had a speck of something floating in it. My server brought me a new cocktail, but it still had something floating in it. Given the similarities, I understand how I could get an Old Fashioned instead of a Manhattan, especially since I requested my Manhattan on the rocks. However, at $18 (for a Manhattan made with Knob Creek!), I expected the cocktail to be exceptional. My advice: come here for brunch, enjoy a mimosa or another simple drink, and steer clear of the handcrafted cocktails. Better yet, give them some time to settle in and find their stride before visiting.
Granville was mediocre at best. Service was great as well as ambience- the space was nice! But I thought the food fell short. I ordered a steak and it wasn't cooked like what I specified. I had been here one time before (but different location) and I felt food was better. Maybe the menu options changed or I didn't pick their best dish? I wouldn't be opposed to giving it another try but it wouldn't be my go to spot either....

Literally every meal I've had at this place has been vomit. The meat in the sandwich stinks, the salmon spread is horrible, it looks like it was bought in a store. My husband ate a burger (he tries them in all places) did not like it either. Price and quality do not correspond. Only one thing that the staff work great! Polite, understanding, they pull the atmosphere. But otherwise... I understand that Americans are not picky, but guys, man, it's very bad.....
I want to give a shout out to our server Dre who was friendly and attentive and personable. But really, this chain definitely appeals only to those under 30 and the crowd on the night we were there didn't seem to notice . Prices very reasonable which draws the crowds and atmosphere cool but the food is really pedestrian. The skirt steak wasnt edible and the burger was ok for 19 bucks. I think here you pay for the most incredible ambience but if you are over 30 you will be horse from screaming after ten minutes. There are about 10 Granvilles now that I know of and I think the PE team that owns them has a formula working for young people that don't notice. Not sure how long that can last.
Walked in with my friend for Sunday lunch and seated inside in front of a drafty door. Someone came by to take our order. I suggested we get a menu first. They handed us one dirty, crumbled disgusting menu that had all the prices blacked out when I asked if there was a second menu, they said no they did not have a second menu. My request of water with no ice came in a glass half full of ice not the best service horrible disgusting menu. I had to put my hands on and to think they only had one menu for the restaurant. What a bunch of you know what I would never go back.
I really wanted to love it, I’ve heard such great things about this place. Granted the day we visited it was pouring rain, we were sat on the floor and my millennial hips disagreed, the pain and uncomfortableness of this table is unreal no wonder it’s a novelty. Opt for an adult table, the food had lots to be desired. I ordered the steak sandwich and was so underwhelmed. The price was high, but expected for brunch, but doesn’t seem worth it. Maybe I’ll give it another try, but as of now it’s a soft pass
We had brunch here today and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. Our server, Tia, came to the table wearing a really dirty apron and her nails didn’t look clean either, which was pretty off-putting. When she brought our drinks, the tray was dirty from previous orders and the cups and plates had coffee spilled all over them. It honestly made us question the hygiene and the overall quality of the food here. The whole thing left us with a bad impression, and we definitely won’t be coming back
Not a safe or kind place for those with food allergies. They claim to have gluten free menu items and claim to take allergies seriously, however my gluten free meal (with clarification to the staff that I have a gluten allergy) was served with soy sauce on it and on the side. Manager on duty was combative and defensive instead of understanding of the mistake that the restaurant had made, which could have been dangerous. They do not have a satisfactory understanding of allergen safety, and that creates a very unsafe environment.
Unfortunately my 1st experience here was so bad from the time I was greeted I ended up leaving and telling the host to cancel my reservation. I was excited to try this location since I have enjoyed my experiences at the one in studio city but this location was not welcoming, the hostess named Deja was so rude I paid the $10 valet and decided to go elsewhere. Unfortunately we were told that without a reservation we would have to sit by the windows, it was cold, you smell exhaust from the street and the transient nature of the area made me uncomfortable when I was being stared at by an unhoused person. We asked if we could close the windows and we were told no, we asked our options and we were told we would have to wait 30 min for another table which we were willing to do since all other tables are for reservations only. I saw in open table there was a reservation for 20 min so I put my name in and let them know, she then said it would actually be another 40-45 min past the reservation time and that it only guaranteed us a seat but not a specific area in the restaurant. I totally get that reservations come 1st serve but when I saw multiple open seats not right by the window and the amount of time we would have to wait kept changing even once getting a reservation it was clear they didn’t care for our business. It’s too bad as we live close and would have loved to have a new spot, but it’s a place that has left me with a bad taste before even getting to try it.
Good food, lovely atmosphere. But the service during 12pm/1:30pm on 10/12/23 was worse than before. The manager served me, and gave me $20 short on the change from a $100 bill. I didn’t say anything because the service was bad before. I’ll just contact corporate. Very dissatisfying.
I went to order food. And I used the bathroom. The site manager BRIAN CRUZ ENTERED THE WOMEN BATHROOM, AND WAS ASKING ME IS VERYTHING OKAY. A MAN ENTERED THE WOMAN'S BATHROOM. THIS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED.
They bring me the food after 50 min There is a dictator that they call manager and he has nothing to do with the hospitality and social awareness in general. Awful place, awful management.
My husband and I have been to all the Granville locations and have received excellent customer service....that is until we went to the NoHo location for dinner recently. Is it even part of the same chain? The server and manager were horrible. Our neighbor had told us no one goes there and now I can see why. If they need more business, shouldn't they be more accommodating? We won't be going back.
Burger was awful, not cooked as ordered. Sweet potato fries were over cooked and no dipping sauce or seasoning. Secret sauce for burger is ketchup and mustard mixed together, yuck, McDonald’s and Burger King burgers are much better. Music is too loud. Won’t be back.
This review is specifically for the bartender named Anya. My roommate asked me to meet him at Granville and said their happy hour prices are reasonable so I decided to give it a shot. When she was taking our orders, she made the happy hour Village burger sound like it was so small, she kept making her hand into the size of a golf ball basically saying there’s barely any meat in it. This convinced me to order a $17 burger in fear that the burger would be too small. My roommate still wanted to take the chance just out of curiosity to see exactly how small it was. Anya continued to guilt trip him, and try to persuade him to order a normal burger because it would be too small. My roommate stuck to his guns and decided to order it anyways. When she was confirming our orders, she even guilt tripped him again to give him another chance to try and change his order, but he refused. When our burgers came out, they looked almost identical. There was seriously no difference in the size of the burger at all. Rather than apologizing or telling us she made a mistake. She says nothing and goes on break. Meaning, this bartender is guilt tripping people that are trying to order from the happy hour menu into ordering more expensive things to get her bill higher. So congratulations Anya, you convinced me to pay $17 for a burger that I could have gotten for $10 but you have now earned your restaurant a one star review. Hope it was worth it. My only regret is tipping you 20% that you definitely do not deserve. Be honest with your customers.
Ordered the Thai Salad and there were tiny white BUGS on the not very fresh salad greens and running across the table. It was GROSS!!! The manager tried to assure me they carefully wash and keep control of their lettuces, but not this time. I won't eat there AGAIN - which is a shame as I like the place and it is so convenient to where I live. Now I'd be looking for bugs, etc. & not feeling comfortable with the food.
Can't give any stars for food and service because we didn't get to try any food because of the poor service. After a 40 minutes of waiting for our order we asked the waiter and he went to check on our order. He came back and said that unfortunately the kitchen didn't get our order and I haven't been even started to be cooked. We came there and were excited because the interior seemed nice and stylish. We drove for 6 hours from San Francisco to San Diego and made a quick stop in LA to meet our daughter over lunch. But we did get a chance to eat. The mood was ruined. Can't attach the pictures of food obviously.
