Friendly staff, quality food, very clean inside, and they have halal options. Very pleasant lunch here and we were greeting by all the staff and also had staff check on us during our meal. Carne asada was crisp and had a good char to it, credit to the chef for not drying it out because it was still juicy. 3 taco lunch special is a great portion for a fair price. Looking forward to being back.

The food was amazing, I live in the Northgate Neighborhood hands down the best Mexican food in the area and all of North Sacramento. The customer service from the servers the young men And Gals was excellent servers were very polite and Attentive if I could give a 10 stars I would . Welcome to the Neighborhood. Was their the other day I was extremely dissatisfied with el morcahete the steak was almost see through it had a lot of tomatoe paste chicken and hot link flavor was horrible. Need big time improvement

I visited this place and tried the grilled shrimp tacos here on a Taco Tuesday. They were delicious. The tacos look simple but they are jam-packed full of flavor. It is a treat to have a chip and salsa bar as well.

Pina niete tacos are amazing! The presentation is perfect from restaurant interior to plating. They have fresh juices available. The salsa bar is freshly tended too, chips are hot and adequately salted!

This taco spot was such an amazing find! I loved that it was halal and had a chip and salsa bar, such a nice touch. The birria tacos were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and so satisfying. I also tried the horchata, and honestly, it was the best drink ever, creamy, refreshing, and perfectly spiced. I’m visiting from Canada, and we just don’t get this kind of authentic Mexican food back home. Please open a location in Canada, I’d be your first customer! 🇨🇦🌮 On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole place was spotless, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone. ✨

When I first found out this place was opening near my work I had no idea it was under the same owners of La Perla Tapatia. I stopped by on the 2nd day of the soft opening for Lunch and got the Pina Nieto Tacos, a Horchata and used the free chips & salsa bar. I think these tacos were better than the time I got them at Tapatia. They had a lots of al pastor and pickled onions. The horchata and chips & salsa are also really good. The dining area inside this taqueria is very spacious and super clean. As well as their other locations I still think they are a bit overpriced but the quality of the food is really good. Definitely a spot I’ll be hitting during my lunches.

Tacos were definitely 1000/10. The beef was so tender and juicy!!! Definitely will be my go to from now on since they are halal! They definitely also have reasonable prices! Best tacos I’ve ever had!!

I am very satisfied with Taqueria La Nueva Vallarta #2 because Maxine’s food was truly exceptional. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, served hot, and full of authentic flavor. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation showed real care. The staff were welcoming, the service was quick, and the entire atmosphere felt warm and inviting. I left completely impressed and would happily return again.

This is a 5 star++++ taqueria! Why am I just finding out about this place. Biria taco and shrimp burrito were out of this world. They have a separate grill for halal. This might be my new favorite spot in Sac!

Handling our large orders was no issue at all—they managed everything smoothly. The food was delicious, especially the nachos and taquitos. Highly recommend this place.

After being to most of the halal taquerias and halal Mexican food stands along the coast of California I’ve found one of the cleanest and best-tasting taquerias around! I had the Quesa-Birria tacos and they were great with lots of flavor. The meat was high-quality, tender, and easily eatable. Will be back, glad to have a halal taqueria in Sacramento!

From out of town, always hard finding good places in a town you do not know. This place did not disappoint in any way possible..... food was excellent, service was polite and excellent, large selection of salsas at the self service chip and salsa bar, including delicious roasted jalapeños. Entire place is extremely clean, employees constantly coming around sweeping and cleaning up the salsa bar. Definitely coming here again next time I'm in Sacramento

This place is great as quickly and easy for pickup orders. They're constantly busy every time I pick up my order to the point that I must go in there and sit down and eat. Because I see some amazing authentic Mexican food on those tables. So please go and try out Taqueria LA Nueva Vallarta #2 great atmosphere great cultural allure here. You just feel like you're in Mexico 🇲🇽 😕 😏 😒. Please go and see taste and enjoy for yourself. I'll mostly likely give them 5 stars once I sit down for a meal!

The portions are small compared to the prices. The food is fantastic and the employees are humble and helpful. I only noticed the portions are small compared to Chipotle in the same price range, which was a bit disappointing. The salad island is very nice, unlimited chips among other treats.

Underwhelming flavor wise overall in my personal opinion but nothing itself was necessary nasty but they had an amazing if not incredible staff that was very helpful and polite. I had already had a bad experience with them previously and wanted to give them another try do to a friends recommendation. The fresh pressed juices are good and I like the assortment of options at the chip and salsa bar. And just for a final text : my 1st visit here I got a carnitas torta and my 2nd visit I got a tostada mixta along with a platillo de chile rellenos and I got jugo fresco both times.

I have lived in Natomas for many years and on the hunt for "authentic" Mexican food. I have not found it yet, sadly. When ordering "crispy" tacos I am expecting real corn tortillas fried until crispy. What I keep getting in this area are nasty pressed cornmeal, white people taco shells with weird, fake char marks on them. The taco shells in the box at the grocery store are better, at least they are crunchy. Also, finding simple good rice and beans has been impossible too. They are the staples of authentic Mexican food!! The beans here are nasty watery, flavorless, clearly canned beans that are trying to be passed off as fresh. Gross! Salsas? No thank you. Water downed pico, sour hot salsa, yuck. Lots of choices of the same types of flavorless or odd flavored salsas, I'll pass. Disappointing My first and last time here-

Ordered a regular burrito, no beans, extra meat, and rice, and I got home to find this small burrito with no extra meat no rice but was charged for it

The food was good, but the lady at the checkout on the evening of 04/21/25 is dishonest. I placed my order and added an 18% tip. She asked if I wanted a receipt--I usually trust places, so I said no. But as I was walking away, I saw the total on the screen looked way higher than it should've been, so I went back and asked for the receipt after all. She started messing around on the POS, typing in a bunch of stuff, and when she finally printed the receipt, the total was lower--and the tip I had added was completely gone. It felt like she was trying to cover something up. I just checked my bank statement and sure enough, I was charged that higher amount I saw before. Feels like she might be messing with tips. Just a heads up--always ask for a receipt and double-check it.

Decided to try this place out. Atmosphere was good, playing the old school Mexican songs. I decided to try their chile relleno burrito and it was trash, honestly. I tried to convince myself to eat itand I just couldn't, I let the lady taking the orders know and she did NOTHING to make it right. Their tostada mixta was really good and so were their aguas Frescas. Horchata is the only one made out of powder, per the lady taking orders. I'm glad I tried it and know that I may want to skip this place in the future.

My boyfriend was craving caldo de res and we should have not came here because the meat was hard to chew and smelled old, the broth had no flavor, the tortillas were stale, and the rice did not look worth trying. He said the only thing good was the coca cola
