RH Rooftop Restaurant at RH Oak Brook

A restaurant on the roof of a furniture store? Well, yes. But not just any furniture store. We're talking about luxury brand Restoration Hardware's, (or RH for short,) Atrium restaurant. It's a high end beauty that has lovely bites for the ultimate "Ladies Lunch," situated on the rooftop of the store. It's breathtakingly gorgeous with a menu that's focused and perfectly prepared. Start with one of their lovely wine cocktails. I relished in the sipping of the refreshing Rose spritz. They only serve beer and wine, but they do it quite well! For entrees, the salmon dishes are moist and light, the Lobster rolls buttery and delectable, uplifted even more if you put a bit of caviar on top. The truffle fries are a delicious accompaniment to their juicy burgers or tender filets. They keep preparations simple, but each diner at our table were happy with their choices. The dining room is beautiful, full of hanging greenery and skylights bathing visitors in bright sunlight or a flickering skyline. There is also an outdoor area for drinks and lounging suitable for enjoying conversation on a summer's evening. RH has a Chicago as well as an Oakbrook location. It's definitely worth a reservation for a picture perfect meal after a long day of shopping or for a catch up date with friends. So treat yourself as soon as you can, it will feel like vacation.

My parents and I had an incredible experience at RH Rooftop in Oak Brook! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Our waitress, Trinity, was truly exceptional—attentive, warm, and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. The food was absolutely phenomenal—every dish was bursting with flavor. The Latte was smooth and satisfying, and the Bellini was perfectly refreshing. From the ambiance to the service, everything was five stars across the board. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a very nice experience. Our waiter Bryan was very attentive. The lobster roll was very tasty. You really are paying for the ambience. It’s a very nice experience …For two people.Our bill with the tip came out to about $148.63.bill … it’s a pretty expensive lunch, bill, considering only one of us had a mimosa. I only drank coffee.☕️ As I mentioned, though, it is the experience of the ambience and the beautiful surroundings.

Excellent!! The food (ribeye, roasted chicken, sweet potatoe fries) was muy rico! It's a tad pricey, but absolutely delicious. Aesthetic is unmatched. I literally ate dinner next to a fountain under a trees canopy. Again, on the expensive side, but a beautiful dinner for any special occasion. Nina was our server and was phenomenal :)

This place is beautiful and the food is so delicious as well. We visited for brunch and loved everything! The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the beginning. This place is perfect for any occasion.

I love that the overall experience at each RH rooftop is very consistent. The atmosphere and ambience are top tier. In town for a girls trip and we previously visited the RH Rooftop in North-hills and decided to give the Oakbrook location a try . The shaved ribeye sandwich is my absolute fav. My friend did the RH burger, we split a bottle of Rose and an order of fries … perfect lunch.

It was nice to go back here to try their updated menu. The lobster roll was 10/10 🔥. I still wish they served cocktails

God has truly blessed me with some amazing friends. I have been wanting to try this spot for some time. This was a really nice surprise! I had no idea where I was going. I had totally guessed a different place. Truly impressive and unique furniture; chairs, sofas, beds, tables, mirrors, lighting, paintings and statues. Indoor and outdoor displays. Everything is for sale. There are two price points; members and non members. You may inquire on line or in person with an associate for further details. My friend and I took the stairs to the top where rooftop dining awaited.Beautiful, is an understatement. Trees, bushes and greenery. Such a lovely setup. A great place for weddings. We walked over to the bar area for drinks. We opted for the peach blinis with fresh peach nectar. How flavorful. We were soon directed to our reserved table; a beautiful seat by the window with a great view of the outdoors. Wow! Our server Jose started us off with water. We ordered crispy artichokes and grilled shrimp to start. I am in love with this style of artichoke. The shrimp were very flavorful and fresh.We ordered the RH Burger with sweet potato fries. Could only eat half as the burger comes as a 'double'. Made a good lunch the next day. Still good. Jose continued to check on us and when we were half done he brought out a plate of warm chocolate chip cookies that were topped with flaked salt and absolutely delicious. I could taste the browned butter. Best day ever! Can't wait to go back!

Surprisingly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in Chicago. The asparagus was also insanely good. The general atmosphere was also amazing. 10/10 recommend.

Very beautiful classy place! My hubby and I went with two other couples and we had the best time! We ordered lobster rolls, burgers, and salmon - all very good. Our drinks and dessert were very good, too. Sure, the meals are super expensive, but the ambiance of this place is priceless!!

The restaurant is very nice. The decor is stunning ( after all, they are known for home furniture and design). The restaurant should check people downstairs so you don't have a massive crowd waiting to be checked in upstairs. The seat arrangement should be better, so I'm not sitting next to strangers ( talking about their booth style set up specifically). As for food, that was amazing and highly recommended. I had the chicken, and my hubby had the burger; both on point! Will be returning. Hopefully, I will have better seats...

Definitely unforgettable experience! Not just because of the reason we came here (birthday dinner), but also because of amazing ambience and delicious food! Once I arrived I noticed everyone is dressed elegant, so you can say this is a fancy place. The interior looks amazing! It is so luxury and beautiful, decorated with taste and very unusual. When it comes to food, the impression is the same! Impeccable! We ordered many dishes to share, so we can try a lot of things they are offering. Everything was tasty and flavored exactly as it should. Service was ok. In my opinion the girl was checking us too many times, but I guess it is part of her job. We had great time! It is high end restaurant, so the prices are reflection of it, but the place is definitely worth checking.

New Year’s Day lunch and it is a must to visit. The atmosphere is superb with the ceiling being glass and a water fountain in the middle of the dining room. Their chai tea was creamy and delicious and as someone who drinks a lot of it, I highly recommend it. I had the lobster roll (sorry for not getting the picture right away before I dug in) was one of the best I have ever had. The truffle and Parmesan fries were wonderful and those with me had the steak dip sandwich and were raving about it.

This place is an absolute gem! The restaurant is beautifully designed with a stunning view that really sets the mood. While the service can be a bit slow, it’s worth the wait—especially for the drinks, which are delicious. Definitely try the coffee; it's amazing! The menu could use a little more variety, but overall, I’d absolutely recommend stopping by. Great spot to relax and enjoy!

Lots of space, lots of free parking, absolutely stunning interior, and delicious food! A fantastic place if you want to meet up with friends, but don’t want to deal with the hassle of driving into the city. I had the matcha latte (strong and flavorful). The truffle fries and the arugula salad were tasty and filling! They also gave us complimentary cookies to celebrate a friend’s pregnancy. Very attentive and accommodating staff!

We visited this restaurant with our family and ordered a variety of dishes, including fish, chicken, steaks, and desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious — every dish exceeded our expectations. The interior deserves special mention as well: it is beautiful, elegant, and very aesthetic, which truly enhanced our evening and created a wonderful atmosphere. Our server was Endiah, and she was outstanding. We sincerely thank her for her professionalism, attentiveness, and excellent service. We will definitely be coming back and will gladly recommend this restaurant to our friends.

It’s a must for the vibes and atmosphere. You feel like you’re transported elsewhere. If you have the time to go through the different levels and rooms of furniture for your picture aesthetic you should definitely take advantage of it. The restaurant has a lovely look. Love the fountain and indoor trees. I have been there on different occasions and the place is usually consistently busy. I would definitely do reservations but there are some available tables for walk ins. Food is okay some items better than others like the Roasted Chicken, burger, truffle and sweet potato fries. Lobster roll was good but on the smaller side. There is no hard alcohol but the mocktails were yummy and pretty. It is on the expensive side. We had 4 people with an entree each, 3 sides and a drink each and it came out to $64/person.

We had an amazing experience at RH Restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to Miguel. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at the perfect times, and made us feel so welcomed. The food and ambiance were incredible, but Miguel’s service truly elevated the entire experience. Ask for him if you’re dining here — you won’t be disappointed!

The service was very professional and attentive, and overall everything was high-quality. The ambience of the place was excellent, the food was top-notch, and my breakfast was both tasty and very filling. The drink I had was also really fresh and enriching.

We just had the pleasure of dining here. I have to say this restaurant is a gem! The design itself is worth stopping by. You feel transported to an Italian piazza with olive trees and a beautiful fountain. The food is amazing. We had the petite filet with potato puree and asparagus. Everything was cooked and presented to perfection. Our waitress Trinity was also amazing. She was attentive, unobtrusive and very courteous and professional. It was a wonderful experience and we will certainly be back! Five stars!

The food was delicious! We ordered the classic Caesar, lobster roll, shaved ribeye dip, regular fries and chocolate chip cookies. It's definitely pricey but we would still come back again. Ambiance is nice and the service was good.

It’s a beautiful restaurant. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the old Tavern on the Green in New York. Don’t expect to get in and out of here for anything less than a king’s ransom but it’s arguably worth it. The people watching here is also tremendous. You see lots of people with their treasures from the nearby upscale mall, and they’re also lots of celebrations and parties being held here for special occasions. It’s certainly a treat we’ve enjoyed on multiple occasions.

First impressions? Stunning, so if you're looking for an upscale place for dinner, brunch or lunch, or perhaps for a bridal/baby shower this is worth considering. We were here for lunch where I had the Chinese Salad with salmon and my companion had the grilled shrimp and asparagus. Accompanied by two non alcoholic cocktails: a cucumber mojito and a blackberry mule. Everything was wonderful. The price point was a bit elevated as one would expect given where you are. Reservations are highly recommended. Enjoy!

This place is esthetically pleasing. I came and I had the peach bellini. I didn't care for it and it basically tasted like peach soda . The price is too much for the taste. The staff was nice but that's pretty much it.

Fancy and approachable atmosphere, that’s light and private thanks to glass ceilings and a fountain. Service is upscale but not stuffy. Very good staple menu items with a few new takes. Try the fries and the summer salad with zucchini and shrimp. Some seating not conducive to a meal but great for drinks and apps.

Been there for Sunday brunch on my friend’s birthday. The restaurant was packed, but still having the nice atmosphere. Food was good, up to standards. All the staff was nice and friendly but the one who responsible for our table was quite phlegmatic and having an off vibes which is I don’t know why, maybe be it’s his character, but since you’re working in an upscale restaurant you better know better how to provide a good hospitality service which is not just taking an order, bringing the food to the table and put the bills as you know your customers will expect more from your service. One more thing, we expected more for Birthday treat from this upscale restaurant but it came with a sweet on the plate with one sad small candle without and decoration nor any letter, that was so poor (they provide BD treat for free which is 3 pieces of cookies, yet ofc we did order another dessert for the birthday)

Visited RH Rooftop in Oak Brook Loved the elegant ambiance — the space is stunning with a clear rooftop cover that floods the area with natural light. A beautiful blend of luxury and comfort. The food was great, and it’s definitely a perfect spot to catch up with friends over a relaxed, sun-drenched meal.

I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was cool to be on the rooftop and it felt really trendy. The service was also top notch. I thought the food wasn’t very inventive though. The dishes seemed to play it very safe. A group of four of us went at lunch time and three of us had items that were just fine. Beef Dip, Lobster Roll, and a Chicken Sandwich. Not the most inspired picks but there aren’t many inspired dishes to choose from. The best dish any one of had was the Italian Benedict. It was exceptional with Parmesan hollandaise, prosciutto, and ciabatta over the standard Benedict. We all shared fries and sweet potato fries that were all just ok. It was also disappointing to find out there wasn’t a full bar. I figured I could get a cocktail but they’re limited to champagne, prosecco and beer.

After visiting both the Chicago and Oakbrook locations, It’s a classy, chic spot with a luxurious ambiance that carries through both the restaurant and the connected store. For brunch, we had the salmon, which was absolutely divine, paired with crispy fries and a delicious mimosa. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. I’d definitely come back for a girls’ brunch—the whole experience felt like a treat with a splurge from the menu.

Went here for Valentine’s Day and I’m not going to lie. I was a little surprised by the people that were here dining 😬. I felt like 50% of them were 17-21. Definitely not the vibe I was going for. The food however was very good! I felt like things were priced well other than the sides. $20 for truffle fries? 🤔 Oh - I got the rose lemonade - just a heads up it was not lemonade, more of a spritz.

Beautiful restaurant, very cozy and serene at night time. We were able to make a last minute reservation and got seated right away for it on a Friday night of all times. Service was fast, restrooms were wonderfully styled and very clean, the restaurant was beautiful. The menu isn't huge but that's honestly ideal, the food was very good, we don't eat extravagantly so we had a burger and chicken sandwich and sides of fries. Tried the mocktails and the blackberry mule was delicious. All of our food was VERY good and very hot and fresh. My only complaint would be the price, which I do understand it's an upscale experience atop a very upscale store but $11 for plain fries is a little unreasonable, $12 to add chicken to a caesar salad is also egregious. That said, I understand the experience is worked into the cost and I can agree that the experience was great and that we will likely be back, however only for special occasions and we will scale back on what we order to reduce our $110 bill to more like $65-80.

Food was very good but is expensive compared to similar places. Aesthetic is amazing, very intimate and romantic atmosphere. Service was outstanding and very knowledgeable about wines and the food options. Overall I feel I could get a similar experience for less elsewhere, but the ambiance is hard to beat.

Business lunch boss took us here! Absolutely beautiful throughout the building. We had the shrimp and artichoke appetizers it was good. I ordered the lobster roll and truffle fries it was so delicious! Honestly for it being an upscale restaurant the tables and seats SUCK!!!! You sink into the seats the second you sit down makes your experience absolutely horrible! There were 8 of us and we all felt the same about the seats.

Overall rating based on overall experience. Places want to be top notch should really work harder to be top notch. I called ahead and spoke with two people about simple but very specific things I needed for our lunch date which was a surprise shower for my work associate. I decided on appetizers to start with person number one. Person number two asked me what I wanted. When I told her that we’d decided with first person, she asked “don’t you remember?” We arrived and things were not set up as planned. No one really seemed to care that this was a special occasion for us. Party of six. Lunch averaged right at $100 per person (we had a bottle of champagne) and gratuity of over 20% automatically added. I went for the ambiance, having had the food before and not benign impressed. The food is better. All five of my guests were happy with food. Service once seated was fine. Preparedness for us or for my specific requests were a disappointing solid one stat.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Decent food at very high prices without exceptional service and ambiance to match. Apparently, you should just scream as loud as you can when you're at this restaurant, or at least that's what I gathered from what everyone else seemed to be doing. Food was served lukewarm even though it took over 30 minutes to get the first plates on the table. Disappointing but I can see it being a fun place for cocktails and or appetizers.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When I made the reservation, I specifically mentioned it was for our anniversary and kindly requested to be seated near the fountain. To my surprise, when we arrived, we were given the last table in the restaurant—by the window leading to the rooftop—literally the farthest spot from the fountain. Fine, I didn’t want to make a fuss, so we took the table without complaint. We ordered our food, and honestly, it was far from high quality. Very average. Nothing special or memorable at all, and the portions were quite small. I ordered a simple Caesar salad with shrimp, and the “extra” shrimp I paid $16 for turned out to be just four pieces. The servers were rushing around and we felt like we were being pushed to eat quickly. The worst part was dessert. We ordered strawberries and cream, and what we got was just some regular chopped strawberries with a bit of cream in a small bowl—something I could easily make at home. None of the dishes, not even the cocktails, had any kind of decoration or effort. Meanwhile, the table next to us received a plain chocolate chip cookie with a candle on top—we actually laughed about it because for a restaurant that claims to be “high-end,” they could definitely do more to make the experience feel special. Overall, it’s overpriced for what they offer. Even the service wasn’t great. It’s the kind of place that relies on being “aesthetic” and doesn’t put any effort into the food or customer care. I wouldn’t go back.

RH certainly delivers on ambiance; the atmosphere was fantastic, creating a pleasant setting. Unfortunately, the culinary aspect fell short. We found the portions to be disappointingly small and quite overpriced. A particularly odd moment was when we asked for bread and received slices that were visibly burnt, only to be told this was their "charred" style. While the service was adequate, the overall cost-to-value ratio means I'd advise dining elsewhere. This isn't a place I'd revisit.

Went here yesterday for the first time, party of six (so tip is automatically included). We celebrated my brother's birthday. We got there and the resturant was not full at all. Place looked nice. Small selection of food, no hard liquor. Half the table ordered steak. When the food/steaks came out, none of the servers that came to the table knew whos was cooked medium well or Medium. They simply shrugged their shoulders and said, "I was just told to bring it to table four" We also got someone else's order. All three steaks were cold and fries cold as well. Service was poor. Probably because tip is already included. We were served by what seemed to be a young kid, so I am sure he didnt care since tip is already included. Won't be returning.

The service was overall pretty decent, I would say "normal", definitely a step below what you'd expect from a place charging over $35 for a salad. One person got the wrong meal, which they took back and replaced with the correct meal and comped that meal which was nice. The restaurant is very cool inside visuals wise, with fountains, artificial trees, etc. Food, coming here and seeing other reviews I just knew it wasn't going to be great. I got the "fried chicken sandwich" which is $24 and worse than a Popeyes chicken sandwich. It's literally a piece of chicken on a bun with extremely thin pickles and such a small amount of mayo that it might have been a mistake. Worth noting that the $24 chicken sandwich comes à la carte, and fries are $11 lol. So 35 for a chicken sandwich and fries. My girlfriend has a shrimp "salad" which couldn't have had more than 2 shrimp in it total. It also had no lettuce, or anything that one would consider it to be a "salad", instead it was an odd bowl of asparagus, zucchini and again, such a small amount of shrimp it seemed like a mistake they even put them in there. There's more to say but I don't feel like typing more on my phone . To put the price into perspective - a glass of soda if you were to get that: $6. Prices are very very laughable and honestly insulting for what you get.
