Great place to go get a quick bite to eat. The employees were pretty respectful and I was greeted on site they were very thorough about making sure that I had everything I needed before I pulled off well-rounded place to go, eat! I would say you'll get great service if you visit....

Best chicken of the 3. Compared to KFC and Popeyes, IMHO. The chicken is crispy with less dough and less salty. Too bad there is only a handful of restaurants left in the SF bayarea. Also their price is reasonable.

Like any place, there are good and bad days or good and bad batches of food. I was lucky to come on one of their good days. The food was very good. I ordered the tenders and fries w/ sweet tea. Everything was so good and fresh. I tried the frosted biscuit, please try it guys. I came yesterday also, just ordered regular drumsticks, they were fresh and perfect. I live in the neighborhood and been coming here for years.

I ordered a 3 piece mixed with mashed potatoes and coleslaw to go. The place is very clean and the counterstaff were very helpful, courteous, and polite. I ate the food when I got back to my hotel room and it was very fresh and cooked just right! The place was recommended to me and I am very glad to have a good place to return to when I come back to Oakland! The food is worth it!

The 3pc deal with a biscuit is an amazing deal. The chicken (spicy) is juicy and mildly peppery. The biscuit is a little cakey (not like a biscuit) but a tasty sweet roll. The gentleman who helped me was very polite and friendly. Service was also extremely quick when I visited during an off hour.

It's good fried chicken that's decidedly unique from the typical KFC or Korean style fried chicken. It's annoying that there aren't that many around in the Bay Area so whenever I'm in the Oakland area, I'd go grab some. I normally only go for drumstick/thigh as fried chicken should be dark meat as a cardinal rule.

You can't really screw up church's chicken. My mom worked here when I was a baby and the recipe is still the same. The service is the only issue. Although the service was friendly,the lady never asked me if I wanted to dine in or take food to go. She just stuffed my food in a bag as if to say, "you may leave now". And they do t have hi ey for their biscuits.

Best fried chicken around. The biscuits are AMAZING. Always go there with a backup plan though because they are randomly out of something at least half of the time. Some days it is the biscuits, other days it is the chicken sandwiches. I have actually gone and had them be out of chicken before. I keep going back though because when they do have what I want, it is always great.

This chicken is the most flaky and crispy above all. Those biscuits are 🔥 they're so good, we had to order more after finishing our meal.

The food brings me back to when I first tried it and loved it then to now. I love the chicken and I always grab some before I come back to the city. I appreciate that they always have great promos for chicken deals. The original flavor is delightful. I also add some spicy peppers and mashed potatoes. The wait at times is sometimes very slow. But when you get your crispy chicken its all worth the wait. I stopped by there today and no wait at all. FABULOUS!!! One thing im curious about is the turnover there. Its never the same people working there. But oh well no big deal as long as they keep serving the tasty chicken its all good. Stop by there you wont be disappointed. Try it 👌✌

Food was great! Service was quite amazingly fast and accommodating (they weren't jam packed so that might have increased the customer service experience). However I noticed... One of the employees had no net on and had hair out and about. The employees also did not wear gloves (they did have handling utensils) and one had two finger gripped one of the chickens that was pouring out the side in a new batch when laying it down to the front and center chicken area. I felt... Odd about the situation. Is that a regular practice?

I can say their chicken has gotten a lot better but we still got to do something about the slow customer service the lines are still long always. And stop being stingy with the honey butter on the biscuits we ordered the biscuits because it has the honey butter on it

Chicken is OK. This place is not in a very good neighborhood. The customers are rude and the workers don't respond back in a very nice way. One customer even got out of the drive through and came in the restaurant to cuss at the worker. You can see that the workers are pressured by the workload and the customers. The wait here is definitely very long and so are lines. Customers moan and groan. Be ready for that especially during rush hours.

We once got biscuits that tasted of cleaning solution, and today got coleslaw with a distinct rotting (a funky, sour) smell/taste. :( Their chicken is usually on-point and keeps us coming back, though. It can be a bit of a wait around and after prime dinnertime.

The food is always hot but I'm 34 years old and have been coming here since I was a child. Please fix the intercom speaker so when ordering the customer can hear every word you say and not every 20th word. Then you scream over intercom at me, so I screamed back I can't hear you. I'm sure after 20+ years you can afford an intercom and headset that functions correctly. I ordered 3 meals and it took almost 15 minutes to get them just sitting at the pickup window. Fix intercom and make food faster and you'll be Charlie.

I like Church chicken I come here every now and then. The workers there are trying hard when busy. Some of them are very friendly. But I noticed there is a new girl working there ,. Wow she is so deliberate and always missing things on orders. 6 people was in line and I waited half an hour. Will try to avoid her next time I come.

I wish there was one closer to my house and I wish they didn't screw up my order. I really wanted the honey biscuits from this place, but it's the only thing that they didn't hear me say. I really didn't care for the food. The day I went to this restaurant the plumbing was completely out there was nowhere for a person to relieve themselves or wash their hands before eating. Makes me wonder how the employees were able to wash their hands or use the restroom. Maybe they had a sink in the kitchen where they can wash your their hands, but to relieve themselves I'm not sure.

Took 40 minutes to get chicken and we only had a small space to order, and that’s it no bathrooms not able to dine in they made a zone only for employees that’s basically the whole place. I was starving and on my way to see a friend. I thought I could grab something quickly, but when I went inside there was a young lady who didn't know what she was doing. The guy who was cooking kept having to leave the fryer and come to the counter to help her. And what should have taken 5 minutes, took 20 minutes. I was extremely late to hook up with my friend.

The food has changed for the worse. Chicken wing tasted old. I was there when they opened, thinking the chicken would be fresh. Maybe it was left over the the other days. Lemon minute maid tasted cheap from the Dollar store. And the biscuit was my biggest disappointment, it was not the same. Church's chicken are slowly disappearing. Not many to choose from. Maybe that is a good thing.

It was good through October 9, 2025 and you buy 6 piece wings you get the other 6 piece wings for free .. and I bought an extra 9 piece wing combo and I asked the cashier can you large size my order and he didn’t he gave me a regular size order and I asked for extra ice in my diet soda I paid extra for the cup for the extra ice. He gave me a little bit of ice for my diet soda I didn’t want all that diet. I want more ice for my order. My chicken was cold. My fries were cold. They’re getting upset because they went out of their coupon. They scanned the QR code and everybody was getting upset because they did the exact same thing for them to get their free wings. They need to work on their customer service period point blank. I dealt with them before six years ago. It’s been a long time since I went to this churches chicken over here in Oakland. The other cashier asked for my receipt. Ive been here 3 times in 2 weeks and 2 out of the 3 they were out of chicken. This is normal for this run down crackhead cafeteria. The workers are very rude. Nobody knows anyones name or management. Extremely Very bad customer service with stinky attitude both the guy and girl frontliner. I bought the 12 pc meal, employee did not even bother to ask if take out or dine-in. We received our order all packed up for take out, was given 2 pcs of boat plate and when we ask for another plate to put our chicken bones and corn cobs, the lady said, they were out of plates. There are a lot of undesirable people hanging out in front asking for money... we actually gave one man ourchange and he threw it on the ground... anyway and Unfortunately this location does let the people use the restroom. Service was awful the owner (Arabian older male) was very disrespectful. My husband ordered thru the drive he asked for two number 2’s in Spanish the person over the Microphone said he didn’t spoke Spanish and nobody else spoke Spanish either. When he got to the window the owner told him that if he didn’t spoke English what was he doing here that he was in America not in his country. This was very disrespectful and racist as well. I didn't like my experience yesterday at the 73rd location in Oakland, Ca.....I and my daughter arrived there at approximately 3pm, I requested a non spicy 3 piece white combo.......I was informed that white meat would not be availabe for more than 20 minutes, and there wouldn't be any wings available for the remainder of the day....I was extremely disappointed.....Church's is a fast food chicken spot, ever part of the chicken should be available at all times of the day during main business hours.....Please get it together so that I and my family can remain satisfied and LOYAL customers......Thank you. ..

Will never be back to this location SOLEY because the manager, RAHMAN, is a POS who does not know how to treat his customers. I filled out a church's listens customer survey and wrote the confirmation number on the back of the receipt where there is a space for the validation code. He did not want to validate it because, first he couldn't read it (then I read it for him), then he wanted to see the validation code on my mobile or computer. so be forewarned if any of you do want to take the time to fill out a customer service survey, take a picture on your phone so you have it ready for the TERRIBLE manager. I mean FFS, either post your policy somewhere visible in the store, or extend the accommodation to the customer... their chicken is good, but I cannot support this business anymore purely because of the way I've seen this guy treat other customers (which I admittedly let slide in the past and have just been super cordial and quick when I've interacted in the past), and especially after being treated so incompetently P.S. the other workers are great though. There was this one guy who has a little bit of a crooked hip who's always really nice and remembered my face. The asian looking guy who worked the drive through late in the evening was nice to take my order through the drive through when I didn't have a car since I was walking home from bart. And there is the lady who's in a head dress thats always pleasant and professional when I order inside. The larger lady who is very accommodating and communicative and I give props to handling the fryer and the register in the morning.

My order was incomplete, this is the second time that happened. I soon got home I collected, the fireball they took too long to pick up the phone, I understand that part but when Finally was able to talk to someone he said it was a mistake from someone in the other turn. I just called to suggest they do it in the right way. Finally, I just wasted my time.

This is the worst Churches Chicken I have ever been too. There where at least 5 people working and it took almost 20 minutes for anyone to take my order. When I asked can I have spicy tenders the person who took my order asked the manager and the manager said they do not want to cook any at this time. I guess the person taking my order don't hear very good because I asked for a large soda and she gave me a regular. When I was asked what sauces do I want I told them I wanted BBQ sauce they gave me honey mustard. I didn't realize until I got home that my sauce was wrong. When I left my home to go back to get the correct sauce the person I asked can I get the correct sauce claimed they don't have anymore BBQ sauce meanwhile there was a entire rack of BBQ sauces behind him. I decided to leave the food and sauces on the counter and didn't even ask for a refund. I will never go to Churches Chicken ever again in my life. The customer service at this place is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I see why my sister quit this place after only working there for 2 months. I recommend nobody go to this place and go to Popeyes that is a few blocks away on International the food and customer service is much better. I'll rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

Waited in drive through 25 minutes before getting up to speaker to order. Took the employee 14 minutes before she said it was ok to order only to find out they only had legs and thighs on hand. The food was fine, but the husband and wife who appeared to be the owners were extremely rude. The service is slow and the place wasn't as clean as it should have been. My wife noticed their rudeness first as the woman took our order. A customer generally mentioned they were rude and another customer stated they were like that all the time. We do not live close to any Church's Chicken (over 40 miles) and my wife love their recipe, but we will never patronize that particular establishment again.

Do not buy from them - they are RUDE! The lady could not hear me from the drive-through microphone even though I was already almost shouting because she was talking to someone else. Then when I was finally done she transferred me to the other guy then I had to repeat my order - and he could not hear me again! So I drove up to the window to give my order again so they can hear me. There was no one there anyway. And the guy got mad and started yelling at me and speaking ‘indian’ that I did not understand. I said he shouldn’t be yelling at his customers and he said I talk too much and he wanted me to leave. If the order was just mine I would’ve. He was yelling at me with my 9-yr old daughter in the car! Later my daughter said that he was so mean! I will not buy from them EVER AGAIN! Get Jollibee chicken instead - they’re better.

Paid 30 dollars for nasty food there quality of food has gone down the tubes if your going to service food like that well on question as to why they have closed so many stores. Never eat there again.

Came here for their Tuesday special made it to late because they closed dining at 7pm so we went through drive through we paid 47 dollars all together just to receive SIDES !! I went up to the drive through window and their own manager had an attitude from the beginning !!! He was not trying to give us a refund he turns around I get flicked off by a worker Horrible customer service skills coming from someone who works in fast food industry the manger Elvis and his employees were so rude!

I wish I could have picked a negative 5 review. Just stop by after work to get some chicken. It tastes like Potato Chips, overcooked lemon pepper tenders, no seasoning at all. It's horrible after waiting 20 minutes for fresh fresh chicken if you would like to chip your teeth go there please all my million followers. Look at this review, it's horrible We gotta do better

There’s hardly any Church’s Chicken around, so I was excited to come here. However, the lobby was randomly closed at 6PM for no reason, even though I tried knocking. Still wanted some chicken, so I went to the drive-thru, but they can’t even hear me. I give up on the order, but got stuck for what felt like almost 20 minutes as that was how long it took for the cars in front of me to leave.

I stopped by because I needed something quick to eat, the worst mistake I had made that day. I am allergic to gluten so when I saw they were offering the smokehouse chicken I thought it be worth trying. when I walked in an employee was complaining about a mess someone had left behind I believe that's the reason why she had closed the dining area and bathrooms in the middle of the day. She seemed very rude to her employees and as well to the customers. I asked if I could use the restroom to wash my hands before I ate and she refused. I understand it's not in a great part of Oakland but still all services should be available to the paying customer. there are many Church's chicken around try to avoid this one
