The shop is very clean and modern, very nice interior design and atmosphere. The pizza is amazing, owner is very friendly. I would highly recommend this pizza place, will definitely come back again
I’m so impressed with this vegan selection pizza restaurant — everything tastes unbelievably fresh, and you can truly tell they take pride in what they do. The moment you take your first bite, you notice how thoughtfully crafted every part of the pizza is. The standout for me is definitely the dough. The texture is perfectly chewy, soft, and so flavorful that you could honestly enjoy the bread by itself. It has that satisfying bite that you only get from dough made fresh in-house. It’s light yet still hearty, and it holds all the toppings beautifully without ever becoming soggy. The flavors are bold, vibrant, and so unique. The Indian spices blend seamlessly with classic pizza elements, creating something comforting but exciting at the same time. Every topping tastes fresh — the vegetables are crisp, the sauces are well-balanced, and the cheese melts into everything so harmoniously. You can tell they don’t cut corners on ingredients. Even though the shop isn’t huge, everything feels welcoming, warm, and made with care. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the quality is consistently excellent every time I visit. It’s the kind of place you immediately want to introduce to your friends. If you’re looking for delicious vegan-style pizza with exceptional freshness and a crust that’s chewy, soft, and full of flavor, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. One bite and you’ll understand why so many people love it!
Ordered this twice on our trip. It is so good. I highly recommend. Some of the best pizza we've had. We had it delivered to our hotel. We stuck with cheese and sausage both times. Amazing. We got the 20 inch and it fed 9, 2 girls and 7 adults.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Since moving to Oakland, I’ve come to realize that some of the city’s greatest heroes don’t wear badges or hold office—they quietly serve their community every day, often unnoticed. You’ll find one of these everyday heroes at Edible Happy Pizzeria in downtown Oakland. Krishna, who runs the shop, is incredibly kind. The food is delicious, affordable, and served with genuine care—something that’s getting harder to find these days. But what makes this place truly special is that they’re not just serving pizza—they’re feeding the soul of a city. They’re helping fight food insecurity not with big headlines or government grants, but with compassion, consistency, and love. Places like this deserve to be funded, celebrated, and supported. They are holding our community together—one warm slice at a time.
Cozy, clean spot with plenty of seating. They have an entire vegan section on their menu, which I think is awesome! I got the 12" (medium) Vegan Aura Veggie Pizza, which I liked. It was a bit pricey for the size imo, but I'm happy to put the money towards a small vegan-friendly business.

The pizza was amazing, super flavorful!
We stopped in after our kids' soccer game on Saturday. We tried the Chicken Tikka pizza. It's possibly the best thing I ever put in my mouth. The kids said they loved it, and thats high praise for them!
Great people! Great food! Fast service! Thanks you guys! You won't regret it! I got the Happy's Special Vegetarian Pizza and man that hit the spot! Fresh ingredients! Crunchy crust! Don't miss out on some good food! Don't forget to ask for some ranch! They also have Special Pepperoni and Combination which I haven't tried yet, but will definitely order again! Thanks a lot Happy!
Absolutely the most Delicious pizza in the Bay! It's location is terrible but it's worth the drive their pizza is so unique and full of flavor! You will be craving more!! I tried all the pizza shops around the bay and this is by far a unique shop the pizza sauces have so much flavor and the cheese is the best authentic real cheese. Like you want that pizza where the cheese strings when u grab a slice that's real mozzarella cheese!! U will not regret ordering your pizza from here it's the only pizza I spend my money on!! Sorry I didn't get pics to show you the pizza, I ate the whole pizza so fast.... than I was sitting here thinking 🤔 y'all need to know how good this pizza is!!!
The pizza and restaurant has come a long ways since my last visit 2 years ago. The interior has now been modernized and offerings greatly expanded. The worker was kind enough to accommodate a large order near opening hours. Our party enjoyed the varied selection of pizza, ranging from basic cheese, to vegetarians, to all meats, to various indian-inspired pies that had guests coming back to the table for more. We appreciate Mitra a great deal for his eagerness in helping with our needs and providing excellent pies!
Edible Happy Pizzeria was fantastic from start to finish. We ordered 4 XL pizzas for my 3-year-old’s birthday party, and everything went perfectly. They delivered right on time, the order was spot-on, and they even threw in a few extras, which was such a nice surprise. What really stood out was how proactive and clear their communication was throughout the process—it made everything feel easy and stress-free on a busy party day. Great service, great experience, and happy kids and adults all around.
After a concert at Oakland Arena, we were hungry and wanted something hot and quick to eat. ARMY friend K found Edible Happy Pizzeria, which was open late and walking distance from the Marriott we were staying at. We stopped by at 11:30 pm and noticed a lot of to-go orders getting picked up, though the pizzeria has a decent amount of seating inside if you wanted to dine in. We ordered the medium one-topping pizza, with pepperoni ($20.99). We didn't have to wait long before we were back in our hotel room to dig into the hot slices of pizza. So so satisfying! Good amount of toppings, yummy stretchy cheese, and a chewy crust. Portion size was just perfect for us to be satiated, but not food comatose. The owner and employee assisting us with our order were courteous and helpful. Would definitely come back for another late night or regular meal time visit!
This vegan pizza spot is a nice find in the neighborhood. The crust has a good chew, the toppings taste fresh, and the flavors are put together with more care than you usually see. You can tell they use quality ingredients — the veggies are bright, the sauces have depth, and the plant-based cheeses melt better than most places. What I like most is that the pizzas don’t feel heavy or oily. Everything tastes clean and well-balanced, which makes it easy to enjoy even if you’re not vegan. The staff is friendly, the place feels welcoming, and the menu has a good mix of classic and creative options. Overall, it’s a solid neighborhood spot for anyone who wants a good pizza — vegan or not. It’s dependable, thoughtful, and worth stopping by when you’re craving something satisfying but still light.
Visited Edible Happy Pizzeria this New Year and ordered pizza for take-away with my family. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Great taste and quality. Highly recommend!
Great pizza amongst the long list of other dishes they offer. My favorite is the combination or the bbq chicken pizza. They also have really good wings. I like mine just fried with the sauces on the side. Really crunchy and flavorful. Mitra is the most accommodating and friendly Pizza guy. Give this place a try. Great pizza at reasonable prices
Outstanding experience from start to finish. Mitra, who is both the chef and delivery person was wonderful and made the whole delivery feel extra special and personal. You can really feel the care and pride behind the food and the service. It’s a great family place, and it shows in every detail. The ingredients were fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. Everything arrived hot and exactly as ordered. I would give five, even ten, stars if I could. Truly awesome!
Hands down the best pizza in oakland downtown ! Not even lying ! Big time glazer of their happy chicken tikka masala pizza !

Very delicious pizza! Great menu with several choices. Nice and clean place to eat. Extremely friendly staff. Owner cares about the customers. Would definitely recommend others to eat here.
The pizza was hot, fresh, delicious. The service service was over the top. Mitra is the most friendly, kind, and considerate, he made for an awesome experience.

🙏🏼Extensive menu & delightful service: the owner here is absolutely wonderful - so accommodating and pleasant. They have a whole vegan section, including vegan sausage & vegan white sauce(!!!) - the pizza was fresh, well-made, smelled + looked amazing. Overall it could've been a little bit more flavourful but this is a great spot! Highly recommend checking it out for convenient vegan pizza.

I’m vegan and maybe it just depends on the day or what you order here…but “Good” is subjective meaning based on your own biases and personal opinion. So for the sake of this review, “not good to me” means : poor sauce to cheese ratio, suspiciously yellow cheese, toppings all in the middle of the pie and an uninspiring flavor.
I’m kind of shocked by the amount of positive reviews. Four friends of mine went in to grab just some slices and were disappointed with the taste of the pepperoni and—especially—the cheese pizza. Not much taste to those. The cheese pizza slice barely had any sauce. I’m chuuus whether the reviews by people here were either a) drunk or b) produced by bots. It’s really not anything near the best pizza I’ve had. This is, I’d say, on par with what they might feed you at a hospital. It’s unfortunate, I was looking forward to it based on the reviews. Aesthetically, the pizza looks fine/even appealing. I would definitely pass on the food here.

1) For pick up- the place was completely empty and they didn’t provide us the sauces and drinks we ordered so had to go back in. 2) Went around 6 and I wonder if the ovens were not warmed up. The pizza was pretty raw so we had to cook it for about 30 more mins at home. Overall very disappointed as it seems like they don’t QC their orders or their pizzas.
I really wanted to love this place (I'm heavily review driven when choosing food). And I really don't like giving it a low rating. The low rating is mostly because my husband and I got the worst case of food poisoning last night from our pizza. It hit us very soon after! I kinda liked the taste of the pizza but my husband did not. Paying $60 (plus taxes, delivery, and other fees) for an extra large pizza and some cheese bread... The pizza was stuck to the paper under it, so in an attempt to pick up a slice, all of the toppings are pulled off. To have left over pizza and food poisoning, I'll pass. I do however, wish the best for the restaurant.
I've had better microwave meals in college. Couldn't even eat the cheese steak, it could possibly have been made with beef jerky. Jalapeno popers come out of a frozen cardboard box. Garlic fries with garlic powder at best.
I'd read so much about this joint and really really wanted to love it, but I was grossly disappointed. Our pickup order was for two large pizzas (Special veg. and Paneer Tikka). Both pizzas were undercooked, extremely loaded with just Mozzarella overpowering everything else. Costco plain cheese pizza has less cheese on them than what we got. It was all doughy, cheesy, gooey mess! It was so bad that I had to pick up my phone to dash something else for dinner. May be it was Friday the 13th or the fact that we were likely their first customer for the evening (at 7:45 PM) and their ovens were not fired fully. Not sure, but extremely disappointed at our first go.

Terrible, greasy, spongy pizza. This was some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had, and it was $5.50 per slice. The only thing going for it is that it’s Halal for the Muslims out there, but there is a better option in Oakland called Purple Pepper Pizza on Broadway.
Worst service ever! Wasted my time to take an order over the phone to then tell me they couldn't deliver to the hotel I'm staying at. Which I also want to say that they also have two of stores are open with the same address so Nova Pizza is the same as edible Happy Pizza why they need two names I have no clue that's just annoying and ridiculous and a waste of time even more especially considering they're both open the same hours. Anyways what they told me on the phone after I spent the time ordering was that they couldn't deliver to me at the Executive airport inn @ Oakland ca. Distance 8 miles. And the reason for why they couldn't deliver is that they said they had no driver to use for me after they had already told me that they did and so I guess they decided that they would take my order and then tell me that they couldn't deliver it after they knew my address to begin with. I had a 72$ order - 2 medium pizzas gourmets and one mixed salad and three sodas apparently that sale and a nice tip which would have been like I don't know probably $90-95 all Cash for them no change needed back. and they couldn't do that because I don't know I guess they just decided that they didn't want to help me because they didn't want to drive 8 miles to come deliver a good sized order at 1:30 in the morning. So I will never order from this place again whether I have money on a card cash on me or whatever. I order pizza like every freaking week so I consider myself a pretty good customer. But yeah, I guess that's great for them. I'm glad that they didn't need or want my business and they're doing so well. Honestly they could have at least been nice about it instead of just rude and hang up on me after wasting time to take my order to then basically leave me feeling like the other places that would have taken my order were kind of too close to being closing (45 mins )time to even use their services too.. So yeah I will definitely not be ordering from here again. And I actually do remember there was one time I did and that pizza was like dry and cold but I didn't leave a bad review because at least they weren't rude that time but yeah anyways I'll say no thanks I'd rather be hungry than deal with them!
