Went for a friend's birthday. Great staff very knowledgeable & friendly even though we came close to closing time. They had a pop up chef. Food was so good. Wine recommendations paired perfectly with our meal.

Wonderful place!! We had the red wine flight & the white wine flight just to try a few things. We also had their snacks for the night, very yummy. There was live music & the vibe was just perfect in there. The service was great, will be coming back to try future wine selections :D

Amazing wine options, and extended option for a flight. (Mine was sweet x fruity forward ) Partner and I easily parked nearby, but there is transit nearby and also Bike (including Lyft) parking nearby. They also host different types of events like happy hours and more.

What an amazing place!!! The drink selection is awesome. The food that they put for their brunch was super delicious and the service is out of this world. You just don’t find that these days anymore, can’t wait to go back again.

Had the best time at CoCo Noir Wine Shop & Bar on Saturday night! Four of us stopped in after dinner, and it was the perfect ending to the evening. I tried a delicious wine flight recommended by the manager—each pour was wonderful—but honestly, the highlight was the conversation. The manager shared the story behind CoCo Noir and the owner’s vision for creating such a beautiful respite in the heart of downtown Oakland. This place is more than a wine bar—it’s a community space with heart, history, and intention. If you haven’t visited yet, make it a priority. You’ll be so glad you did! 🍷✨

The actual business CoCo Noir was very classy, but the owner of Fire and Water was extremely unpleasant. I dropped off my lady here to have brunch with family for a birthday and requested a meal to go which was not very good at all. I didn’t like the fish and chips at all. When I came to retrieve my plate I ate a fry and bit a piece of the fish and it tasted like OLD GREASE and the fish was over cooked and really just nasty. When this was explained to the bar manager and waitress they were apologetic and stated they would see how it could be resolved. They were very nice…then came “the owner” of Fire and Water…being very rude, yelling, delivering insults instead of customer service, and very verbally aggressive. She even had the audacity to call me a LIAR and stated they don’t do refunds. Then went on to say how people ask for refunds all of the time..hence food is nasty. I’ve never heard of a restaurant not doing refunds. IVE NEVER BEEN CALLED A LIAR ABOUT NOT LIKING THE FOOD. We gave the food back to no REFUND from Fire and Water and the lady kept verbally berating us. I never felt so attacked at a business. The party spent at the very least $300 and mind you I didn’t dine there, so if I didn’t like it…didn’t eat it…and complained, the proper customer service is to refund and apologize. That’s it. Not insults, no berating, just complete the transaction. Because even tho Shannon helped we still feel robbed of our money and momentary joy. I will never ever give Fire and Water any of my business. Literally took our money and the only resolve came from the actual establishment…which offered more than the pop up. Very gracious for that. In any case, I appreciate how Shannon damage controlled. She took away the brunt of the very bad interaction. We should have never been treated soooooo poorly. BIG UPS to CoCo Noir tho.

Very knowledgeable staff that offer outstanding customer service& yummy small plates! Doubles as an amazing intimate venue for awesome local artist! Do not sleep on Coco Noir! 💯
