Thai food done right👍👍👍 This one is in Jack London Square (they have other branches too), nicely situated by the water that adds up to the vibe of the restaurant. We ordered 3 different foods and really enjoyed everything. The portions are meant for sharing so that’s a plus and the prices are reasonable given the nice location of the restaurant. The place is actually huge and sectioned well to accommodate different occasions. Overall I recommend this place and will try their other branches too.

Tried Farmhouse Kitchen today and it was amazing! The Pad Thai was flavorful, the San Juan seafood sizzling was perfectly spicy, and the Mango Sticky Rice was the sweetest ending. Peach was really amazing. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was delicious. The highlight was service was exceptional— super quick , friendly , attentive, and genuinely welcoming. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. Highly recommended!

This Thai restaurant is a true gem for vegetarians like me! Their menu offers a fantastic array of options. We opted for both the Thai yellow and green curries, and they were an absolute delight to the taste buds—full of flavor and perfectly spiced. This place is consistently great! 🤤 We first found this place a couple years ago and we fell in love. We've eaten from here for lunch, dinner and door dash and have had no issues. Service is consistently solid, food is always good, location is great and price is decent. They have outdoor and indoor seating options and sit right on the Jack London waterfront. It’s right by the water so the views are great! The food was good but not the best Thai food I’ve had. The drinks and the cups for the drinks are super creative. My group got the platter and a few entrees. The platter was expensive and not a lot of food for the cost. Presentation was nice though. It made for a very aesthetic photo.

The restaurant had a vibrant and lively atmosphere, perfect for celebrating my wife’s birthday. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left. The front desk staff made sure we got the table we requested and even helped us take pictures at the end. Our server was attentive, checked on us often, and made sure no one had food allergies. Food and drinks were great overall. The cocktails were creative, fun, and definitely photo-worthy. Their birthday celebration style is also unique and added to the experience. On the downside, the fried calamari was disappointing. I ordered it thinking my kid would enjoy it, but it was too rubbery to eat—even for us adults. The coconut water also didn’t taste fresh, which made me wonder how long it had been stored. The appetizers felt a bit overpriced for the quantity. Overall, a great spot for celebrations with excellent service and drinks for adults.

Farmhouse Jack London: A Disappointing Detail and Lukewarm Crab Fried Rice My recent visit to Farmhouse Jack London left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to a noticeable oversight and a dish that didn't quite hit the mark. While the overall ambiance of the restaurant is generally inviting and rustic, the presence of a visibly dirty pink chair starkly contrasted with the otherwise pleasant decor. This detail, though seemingly minor, unfortunately caught my eye and detracted from the overall impression. In a place that strives for a certain aesthetic, such a basic cleanliness issue is quite jarring. Beyond the aesthetics, I was particularly looking forward to trying the crab fried rice. Unfortunately, it failed to impress. The dish lacked the vibrant flavor and generous crab content I had hoped for. It was rather bland and didn't stand out in any memorable way, especially given the price point. While other aspects of the dining experience might have been adequate, the combination of the dirty chair and the underwhelming crab fried rice made for a less than stellar visit. With so many dining options in the Oakland area, I'd hope for more attention to detail and higher quality from the kitchen.

My partner and I had lunch at Farm House Kitchen Thai on Saturday, January 10, 2026. We made a reservation through Open Table for 1:15pm. This was our first time dinning at Farm House Thai in Oakland; over the years we’ve dined at more than a dozen Thai restaurants throughout the Bay Area and my partner and I are die-hard ‘Thai foodies.’ The service at Farmhouse Kitchen Thai was sorely lacking and the quality of the food did not meet the expectations of my partner and I. My partner ordered the Crispy Branzino and it was over cooked. She took one bite and asked the waitress to take it back and she ordered a second dish, Pad See You, and that dish barely had any Broccoli in it. Also, despite the fact that we sent back the Crispy Branzino because it was overcooked and tasted terrible, we still had to pay for it. We will never return to Farmhouse Kitchen Thai in Oakland. My partner and I LOVE Thai cuisine and we have vacationed in Bangkok, Thailand twice where we have had some of the most amazing Thai meals. There are far better Thai restaurants in the Bay Area including My Thai in San Rafael, Ben Thai Cafe on Nob Hill in San Francisco and several others in Palo Alto, San Jose and Berkeley. In addition, the food is wayyyyy over priced for what you receive as far as the lack of quality of the food and the poor customer service. With regard to the quality of the food, on a scale of 1-to-5 my partner and I rate Farm House Thai a 1.5; with regard to customer service, we rate Farm House Thai a 2; and with regard to the overall experience, e.g. quality of the food, customer service, ambiance, atmosphere and the price for the dishes on the menu, the rating is 2. Certainly, we will not return to Farmhouse Kitchen Thai. There are FAR BETTER choices throughout the Bay Area. If you’re looking for superior Thai Cuisine in the Oakland/Berkley area Praaw Thai on Gilman in Berkeley has amazing Thai Cuisine.
