I love GG Donuts. Their lite and fluffy. Just right. There family owned. So sweet to talk too. And I stay in Richmond. I don't mind the drive. Just bring cash. 1 to 10. They have a 10!!

Always friendly and fresh. My favorite local shop. They also made more than 100 dozen of their delicious fluffy donuts fresh for a special order I had. That's a lot of glaze!

Fun and friendly! Also delicious super fresh donuts! They treated everyone who came in like old friends. While we were there, the FedEx guy and then the mailman came and laughed and talked. We felt at home!

Visiting my son, I came from the East Coast, looking for doughnut culture, and found everything I could’ve dreamed of at Golden Gate Donuts in Oakland. From the simply delicious glazed donuts, to the buttermilk donuts, bear, claws, custard-filled bars, apple fritters, and donut holes to their delicious and humongous breakfast sandwiches – – Golden Gate Donuts is everything I wanted and needed. I am in serious withdrawal right now. And don’t forget the twists. And the cinnamon rolls. I think I’m in a little depression now that I am back home. Please send donuts.

Best donut place in Oakland! The donuts taste amazing& great value for the price. Their croissant sandwiches are also really tasty, perfect for breakfast. The staffs here are really nice and friendly. The place is always populated with nice community of customers that makes this place feel very homey.

My family loves these donuts! My hubby picks some up for us every once in awhile (half a dozen for about $6.60). They offer a nice variety of flavors. My favorites are the delicious blueberry cake donut, and a chocolate one with chopped nuts on top. I prefer this style over others. The are inexpensive, but taste like a pricey treat. I highly recommend you give them a try. They only accept cash.

This is an excellent example of a classic American donut. Nothing super fancy here, though maybe a bacon maple bar on the weekends. Every donut is good and always tastes fresh. The staff is friendly especially considering the things they have to deal with. It's cash only so come prepared, but you usually don't need more than a $20.

Lee's had the better croissant and meat, GG had the better egg and had jalapenos as a welcome addition.

Surprisingly good doughnuts. Light, fluffy, not too sweet (raised glazed), nice chocolate glaze too. Decent coffee!

They take card, donuts are great, people are nice. They've been here forever. Go spend your money on a great neighborhood spot!

Donuts are great and there is a decent variety. Customer service here was awesome. It has an old-school donut coffee shop appeal. Will have to come back for more. The jelly filled and glazed donuts were awesome.

Pretty good doughnuts. Got a dozen doughnut holes; very soft and light. 10/10 would go again. Just remember to bring cash since it is a cash only business.

Like everything prices have gone up here quite a bit. Donuts start at $2 and fancier donuts are $3.50 or more. They are still very good. We like their croissants too. We just don't buy as much. They are happy to accept credit cards.
