I absolutely love their burgers - you can really taste the quality : juicy, flavorful, and freshly made.The staff are friendly and welcoming, and we truly appreciated how accommodating they were. Special mention to their Manager, Marissa, who went around checking on diners asking how the foods are and the experience. She even seemed to know many of the regulars, greeting them with casual chats and warm smiles. Such a homey place to dine.

I love this place so much! I just came here today and let me just say the portions are big and well worth the price!! I spent $24 got a “two egger” plate with a side of hashbrowns, three pieces of bacon, and four pancakes. Four!!!!!! That’s more than Denny’s gives you! Honestly I’m very satisfied with the taste and quality of the food. I do wish i was given salt and pepper cause I’m a pepper freak but honestly the food didn’t need it. Thank you so much for having me nations! Can’t wait to come again.

I’ve been using the nations app to order food and go in and then sit down and eat. There was no one inside the restaurant so once I got in and my order was ready it was quick to sit down. They seem to have some frequent regulars as one of the ladies greeted a man who walked in and asked if he wanted his usual. I thought that was pretty cute. The food tasted amazing, but you could tell that they don’t really come from behind the stand very often, as there was trash in a few places. I also noticed that the drink dispenser was on the other side of the stand. I feel like that says a lot about how they do their business. Either way, the food was good, just wish the location was a little bit cleaner. Oh also, the door slams if anyone goes through it, not the worst thing ever, but thought it should be mentioned.

Solid spot when you want a real burger that hits the spot. The patties are thick and juicy, and they don’t skimp on toppings. Fries are crispy, and the milkshakes are on point too. Great for a late-night bite or casual lunch. Way better than the big chains, and the “giant” isn’t just a name — you’ll leave full.

Been here many times when I stay at the nearby hotel during a work trip. I always love the food I get and especially their pies. The only downside is it definitely can be a little disorganized in there or the occasional person wildin out but overall getting takeout is good!

Great burger and great pies. They also have breakfast. If you need to get away from in and out. This is the place. The breakfast looked good too but the burgers is what I was recommended to have. I'd go back. The pie was great. Service was great. Small location so getting a table might be tough at lunch.

The food was amazing.The service was wonderful and the ambience of the restaurant was vintage and comfortable.

I had a really good experience at Nations in Jack London Square. My server, Rosanna, was great — friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. No long wait at all, which I appreciated. She made sure I had water right away, and I was able to use my rewards to grab a slice of pecan pie, which was a nice bonus. Overall, solid service and a smooth experience. I’ll definitely be back.

*SEE UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM* The food is standard Nation's, which means the burgers are good, the fries are good and the pie is amazing. This review, however, was inspired by the staff. I don't come here often, but when I do, it's usually late night...so I've seen them put up with a lot over the last few years. They always have a GENUINE positive friendly attitude with ten times the patience with customers than I would ever have. It is pretty clear that management here puts a big emphasis on customer service. Either that or they just happen to hire people who were raised properly (rare nowadays). Either way, it's a win. *UPDATE* I lowered this rating from 5star. The last order I placed was online and I was double-charged. When I contacted the staff days later, they said I needed to request the refund online and gave me no further details. When I looked online, the only mention of issues and refunds said to contact the restaurant directly. Clearly there is a disconnect. I had to dispute the charge with my bank, which is never a good look. This won't keep me from coming back, but I recommend monitoring your bank statement after eating here.

The first Nation's I went to was across the street from this one...long ago. This Nation's is very efficient and has the same food quality as the others. The people who work here are so nice! The actual location could use a bit of a spruce-up. Also, parking can be a challenge.

Came here during lunch and it wasn't even busy. They forgot to make my food so it took about 20 min of me waiting. Got the burger and was disappointed because the only reason why it is a Giant burger was the amount of lettuce, tomatoes and onions they put on. I came here to get a hamburger for my wife who wanted it from Nation's and is in the hospital. I order a hamburger and a hotdog, online outside of Nation's with grilled onion, mustard and relish and went in at the wait time of 8 minutes. I was on lunch from San Francisco, so I was in a hurry. I went to her room and sat a minute to make sure she was alright. She opened her burger and took a bite, stating it was cold. It's only a few minutes from Nation's to the hospital, so took a bite too. Yes, it was cold even while placed in a warmer bag. I had to get back to work and I decided to eat my hot dog while driving. On the road I took a bite and the onions slices were crunchy not grilled along with a gray color. I waited to get to work to finish. At the desk I took another bite a felt something hard in my mouth. I removed it and it was a circular piece of cardboard, how? I moved the glob of mustard and relish to see another circular piece in my food. What I noticed was the box was vented with circular holds on top and the sides The same size as what was in my food. Did he not know that there was cardboard in the box before he prepared my food? To late, I called Nation's to complain. He tells me there was nothing he could do and that I had to call between 2 and 4 pm to talk to a manager. Well, I did and she wasn't in during those times. I live 20 miles away, south from San Francisco and even further if I went back over the Bay Bridge. So I let my bank handle the $23.00 issue

I've been coming to Nations on 4th & Broadway since I was a kid. They're milkshakes have always been thick and creamy. The burgers till this day remains fat and juicy. And the fries are as real as they come. Plus they're chilli cheese fries are smacking. Also any one of the breakfast egger meals will have you wanting one everyday. If you've never been to a Nations you definitely need to go it's a Bay Area staple. Last but not least they're pies go crazy especially the blueberriy cheesecake. Nations make meals you want to tell the world 🌎 about. Come join the club.

This is a lousy as restaurant… I ordered through uber eats and they completely fumbled. I order 2 banana crème slices and French toast with bacon on the side. They ran out of banana crème despite still allowing people to order it, and the forgot my bacon. So I just eat French toast tonight apparently. So lousy and unprofessional. Makes sense- it’s Oakland….
