This place is very popular for a reason, just be patient and prepared for a long wait which was worth it. I had the most delicious salami sandwich with gouda on a fresh, warm toasted ciabatta with garlic mayo and a side broccoli salad (also very tasty!) Every order around me looked incredible😋

Great sandwiches and filled baguettes for lunch. Pictured is the roasted veg and avocado one, but the roast beef and mustard one was amazing. The broccoli side salad was delicious too.

I am very ambiguous about this place. It has a very good location and looks like a cosy restaurant. The food and pastry are quite good but try out other places too, it’s not the only one that serves good breakfasts. The prices are maybe a bit higher than comparable places and considering serving sizes. The juices are good but others are more sophisticated than here. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Smoking is allowed - for good or bad - I am not in favor but it fits and forms part of the laid back Mazunte. And since it’s open air it should not bother you. And I found people smoking very respectful. Service is neither bad nor great. Probably just indifferent. I did not get the feeling that they see their clients as cash cows as several reviewers state. Quite contrary, many spend their afternoon hours here just sipping their coffee. So, you will be fine here. There is Internet and like at most places it is sufficient to check emails. No card payments:-(. Mazunte IS a cash place! So it’s ambiguous and yet I have come here several times.

My daughter and I went twice for meals and both of us enjoy the fresh bread and the pizza also a veggie baguette. I recommend them 1000% . People there is kind and warm, friendly environment.

I'm from the USA and love classical Eggs Benedict. The menu states classical but there is hummus (tomato would be better) and the Hollandaise sauce is barely a drizzle of egg yolk and butter, and not the classical style of egg yolks and lemon emulsified with butter and a pinch of salt. I tried asking if the Hollandaise had lemon and blended but my Spanish is poor and my phone didn't have Internet. I took a risk, sure. Overall bland at best but the poached eggs were done correctly. Having had poor Eggs Benedict at almost every place I've traveled I take some responsibility in holding them capable of making something you can look up online. The atmosphere was nice until a patron's dirty dog started brushing up against me. Staff did not care ..so likely a norm here to allow poor mannered people into small restaurants with dirty animals. Having explained why it was not a classic eggs Benedict did not matter, in their eyes they made what they think it should be. I paid for the food I did not eat.

4 stars for the food. Very nice eggs Benedict with a delicious fresh bread. The guava and cream star shaped pastry is also excellent. Omelette was nothing special and the cold chocolate is way too sweet. 1 star for the service because they are incredible understaffed with 1 poor guy taking care of the entire place. Prepare to wait an hour for the food and another 45+ min for the check. We asked for the check several times and after 45 min, the only way we got it is by getting up to leave if we could not pay. With how much money this place is making from tourists (it's not cheap), it's only fair to add one more server before the current one burns out. We felt sorry for him. I won't come here again because of the slow service, slowest I've had in Mazunte.
