Great food (I 100% recommend the vegetarian drunken noodles) and amazing people there. The service was amazing, the boss was a really funny dude, making jokes and we chatted for a but while waiting for our food. The chief is super talented! The place is also gorgeous and fresh. Second time here on our 10 day trip in Mazunte :) We tried the veggie ramen, pork ramen, shrimp gyoza and veggie pad Thai and of course the artisanal beer! Food and drink are fantastic! Service is great - the owner provided us with many local recommendations and was so welcoming, along with all other staff! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area looking for delicious food.

The ramen of my dreams. I consider myself a ramen connoisseur, and THIS was one of the greatest ramens I have ever had. Not to mention, the owners are a delight and made the experience so wonderful. Prices are also very reasonable for such incredible quality food. I’ve gone two days in a row now… BLESS!

Best seafood in Mazunte. Best ramen we've ever had ( we're not even kidding) We loved this restaurant so much that we ended up there 3x in one week. We tried the entire menu and each plate literally was made to perfection. We tried the gyozas, the pork ramen, the fried chicken and the drunken noodles. I'm literally salivating as I'm writing this review because of how finger-licking good it was. Definetly your go-to spot when visiting Mazunte. The owners Javier and Mar and staff are absolute gems and you can tell the food is made with so much love and care. This place is all about community. Be sure to visit them on Sundays too where they host salsa classes there at night! Always so much fun. Do yourself a favor and go visit! You won't be disappointed.

What a delightful surprise we had! Reina Negra is at 100m from the Mazunte main road, in the peaceful little street of the church coasting the basketball court in the center of the town. The environment was peaceful and spacious, as a local I could find the privacy I often strive for, far from the touristic craze of Rinconcito road and the Main road. Javier and Mar are so kind and caring, they make you feel at home instantly. The food is delicious, honestly you can taste it's made with love, and the best part is that mains are 100$mxn each and the portions are well-balanced. We were two and got 3 mains: the gyozas, the veggie rice noodles (with tofu, so good protein source) and the pork ramen - just YUMMY! To drink I got jazmine ice tea (no sugar - it is hard to find good sugar free drinks in town so I was very happy, and I love tea). Everything amazing. We had a great time. This is the kind of restaurant I was looking for: warm, healthy, affordable and delicious. What can I say, I drove 20 minutes on my own the next day just to go and try the fried chicken, with some veggie rice noodles again. Not disappointed. I can easily say I'll be a regular at Reina Negra.

We highly, highly recommend checking out this very authentic restaurant. The vegetarian ramen, pork ramen and chicken wings were delicious. Excellent homemade draft beer and mezcal. Super cool vibe. The owners put so much care, detail and love into this restaurant. Top quality ingredients. You can tell this is their passion and they are excited to share it with you. They spent time chatting with us and sharing their beautiful story. We had recently arrived to Mazunte and they shared helpful tips for the area. We were blessed to meet such a beautiful couple! Look forward to coming back to enjoy some ramen, beer and mezcal!

Stumbled upon this hidden gem in Mazunte, after a long day at the beach. All I can say is wow! Amazing ramen and Asian cuisine in Mexico, who would’ve thought. My partner and I ordered the special of the night, the gyoza, which did not disappoint, pork and chive perfection. For the main courses we had were the pork ramen and the beef bulgogi short ribs. Both were amazing, we were really impressed by the flavour and the ramen was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. To follow this all up, the drinks we had were great. I got the locally made draft beer and my partner, the house mezcal, we thoroughly enjoyed both. Meanwhile, the staff and service was exceptional! The owner came and spoke to us multiple times throughout the evening, and we learned the restaurant was family run. They seemed to know everyone coming in. Overall, a great atmosphere, and even better food! We will definitely be back. The best restaurant in Mazunte we have come across.

Don’t miss this hidden gem on the street across from the ATM in Mazunte. Had the gyoza (very good) & the vegetarian & pork ramen (both very tasty); the latter had a sizable chunk of pork, which of course pleased me no end! They make their own broths for the ramen plus the sriracha sauce. They have both Asian & Italian menus & by the time we left after an early dinner, the place was almost full. On top of that, the owner, Javier, went way beyond to help us locate a mobile vet for our cat & reached out to potential landlords in our research for a winter getaway in Dec 2023. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Saw a flyer for this place at our hotel and very glad we decided to give them a shot. We had the Korean fried chicken, the beef bulgogi, the house special salad and the passion fruit cheesecake for dessert! Each dish was as good as the next, but the bulgogi and salad were the stars. Will definitely try their ramen next time. As a bonus the owners Javier and Mar were both rad!
