How this place is rated anything below 5 stars is beyond me. The owner is a class act and prepares everything himself from scratch. And the cook is kind, humble, and incredibly talented. Love the food and the vibe every time I come here.

We ate here two nights of our 3 night stay and would have come all 3 nights if we could have. Really incredible vegan comfort food which is an oxymoron if I’ve ever heard one! We had great, honoring service from Tarz and can’t wait to come back!

Warm welcome and outstanding food We’ve wanted to try this place for a long time and finally made it today. We’re so glad we finally got there, as it was great. We received a very warm welcome from Scott the owner, and he made time to explain the extensive menu as well as the day’s specials. We found a table in the sizeable outside area at the rear and began a long debate about which of the delicious sounding options we would choose. Drink options were also impressive, and we understand all are (like the food) all home-made. After much discussion we decided on the Rueben and the Thanksgiving sando (one of the specials). When Scott brought the two plates to our table, it became obvious why he doesn’t need to do bicep curls at the gym. The portions were HUGE, and we immediately knew that we’d be taking one sandwich home. We decided to eat the Thanksgiving sando, and it was top-notch. The `turkey’ was encased in a crispy batter and accompanied by mash, cranberry sauce, and a light mayo-type sauce – in (we think) a pretzel bun. This is a serious sandwich – we had to cut it in half to even lift it, and one half was more than enough for each of us. It was served with excellent fries and some light and flavorful home-made ketchup. It took a while (and approximately 5 napkins each) for us to finish a truly outstanding, deliciously messy sandwich. Despite having a long list of chores to accomplish today, we both succumbed to sandwich coma for the rest of the afternoon. The Reuben has been saved for tomorrow, so that we have the perfect excuse to avoid chores again. Seriously though – Eris is a must visit, and we’ll definitely be back to go through more of the extensive menu. Scott is a friendly and interesting guy to talk to (ask about his comic book knowledge). His food is created with care on the premises – it’s skillfully made & presented and is not just bland, defrosted meat substitutes that you get in some other vegan restaurants. It tastes great and the portions are extremely generous. Even if you’re not a vegan, highly recommend you give it a go.

Amazing food and great portion sizes! I love how everything tasted. We ordered the chicken nuggets (Vegan) and fries — my daughter loved them! The Ramen was so delicious, and the Little Brutus pizza flatbread was full of flavor too. The staff were so welcoming and polite, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Every time I try vegan food I’m surprised how much I like it. Eris has an awesome “carne asada” bowl that was filling and tasty. I got that to be a little healthier but after seeing one of the burgers come out that’s what I’ll be trying next time! The owner runs the counter and seems to know or get to know everyone that comes in. Great little spot!

Hot summer afternoon and was craving tacos…Ordered the triple taco trio and was impressed, hand made tortillas each one full of flavor and texture. The lavender lemonade went perfect with every different flavor and wasn’t too sweet nor too tart and had a nice lavender flavor. Will come back again and keep trying more of the menu!

The food was sophisticated and complex with many different ingredients, comforting, and absolutely delicious 😋 at the same time! We ordered the Taco 🌮 Trio (seitan adobado, sweet potato, and vegan fish) and Galactic Monster fries, which tasted like poutine, and were all phenomenal! It's wonderful to support an independent restaurant where everything is scratch made and the owner works so hard to prep all the food in the wee hours of the morning before they open Tar, the server, was so welcoming, knowledgeable about the history and habits of Eris, and very attentive. The space is larger than it appears on the inside with an L-shaped bar, sizable outdoor patio, and the walls become an art gallery featuring local artists, vintage movie posters, and all sorts of interesting decor. It's really a unique place that everyone should try, bring a group, and the community can really treasure!

Scott is was very hospitable! Gosh, this food and service was so damn good! I took a non-vegan here that mostly eats southern food and they loved it! I was glad that this was very close to our hotel. It has a hole in the wall build, and might not be super obvious to others on what it is, but it is a great find! The food was excellent and I think this kitchen is doing really well by not trying to be like every other vegan restaurant in this space. The food is unique and the portion size is very good!!! Actually, love that they give great portion sizes along with great flavor and great service! I have been vegan for 10 years and is has been truly hard to find a vegan chicken parm that is this excellent! I wish I can find a way to bring all of this to Texas! I'm excited for the future of this business and hope it thrives and as well! Even if you're not vegan, I encourage you to go in and give it a try. Thank you so much!

OH MY GOD!!! One of the best meals I have had in a long time! The team there is so friendly and makes you feel like you are family right away! Such a fun and non-pretentious vibe with some incredible food that comes out so fresh. - Rueben (10/10, my favorite, so much diversity of flavor) - lasagna (9/10, great flavor!) - French dip (9/10, soo tasty and the au jus was great) - carne asada bowl (9.5/10 so much in the bowl and flavors packed a punch) - yippee Kay yay burger (8/10 really great, strong bbq flavor ) Can’t wait to come back!

Tarzan made it a 10x experience from an already 10x experience. There are so many incredible options to choose from on this menu. I think we did a pretty damn good job though. The Not Chickn Gyro, Brutus Pizza, & the Triple Taco Platter was absolutely stellar. Along with the entrees, their vanilla bean ice cream, peach cobbler, chocolate cake, & root beer float were so tasty. Each dish had such unique flavor that made it stand out above almost any other restaurant that makes comfort food like this. I personally believe from a creative aspect, overall flavor & presentation (even the price) that the Chickn Gyro was the most incredible item on the menu! I can’t wait to go back & order more of the Tacos. They make everything from scratch, including their cheeses & most impressively their Seitan; FROM SCRATCH! I don’t even like Seitan, until now. Their sodas are tasty delicious & worth a try. The root beer & ginger soda was our favorite. Plenty of parking around the block & the service (provided by Tarzan) was some of the best service I’ve EVER experienced at any restaurant I’ve ever been too (this includes fine dining, cafes, diners, etcetera). Thank you Team Eris (look up the Greek Goddess Eris). Grateful for your space & delicious comfort food.

How did I not know of this amazing place until today?! 100% vegan all food made from scratch. Obsessed is an understatement 💓 Wow feels like I found my new favorite place. Good vibes casual dining,, cool atmosphere, friendly faces, and of course epic food! Tarz, the front man was super helpful, sweet and we spent all evening getting to know. A sweetheart of a soul. Plenty of seating. Our chicken parmigiana was hefty and delicious! The French dip was excellent. So flavorful. Lastly the chocolate cake was out of the world so moist and decadent. Words won’t do justice for this place. Get your butt in here asap. You will looove.

Being an aspiring vegan in the city of Oceanside is rather difficult, due to the lack of dining options. So I was excited when I found out about this hole in the wall called Eris food Co. Eris Food Co. is slinging some of the best vegan dishes you'll ever have west of the 5 Hwy in Oceanside, located on Wisconsin Ave on the corner of S Tremont St. Dine in an immersive & unique artsy interior and experience their fantastic service. Although there are only a few tables inside, they have an open space outdoor patio with plenty of tables and a peaceful ambience. They're great for enjoying healthy snacks, scrumptious pastries and vegan dishes. Because they were formerly located within a kombucha cafe, they carry many drink flavors & their food specials change daily. With an alternating menu that features flatbreads, lasagna, meatloaf, Mac n Cheese, burgers, tacos, ramen, sandwiches, rice bowls, salads and more, you're bound to discover some new favorite dishes. So next time you're looking for some delicious food, you should head down to the Eris Food Co. to experience how this establishment sets a great standard for vegan dining.

Our favorite vegan food, chef, and atmosphere in San Diego! We LOVE this place. Scott, the owner, goes so above and beyond in his preparation, presentation, and service! We bring the whole family here and vegan and non-vegans are all ecstatic about the food. There is no better spot in SD!

I loved this place! My friend brought me here for the first time for my birthday today. I just moved back to SD County from the Bay Area and I have really been mourning the cute unique vegan places. This place definitely eased that grief for me! Definitely get the pizza if it’s on the specials for the day! I have the other half waiting for me in my fridge right now. Excellent cake and handmade drinks too! Highly recommend!

Stopped by because I have so many gastrointestinal issues and vegan food seems to be the only thing that won’t get me sick. Their restaurant review pictures looked great so we tried it out and the food actually looked like the pictures they had on display of their food! The taste, AMAZING!! We left not feeling an ounce of bloating. And very satisfying! Even if you aren’t vegan like my husband and he loved it! Others eating also kept complimenting the owner saying how much they loved it.

Incredible food, generous portions, tasty desserts, friendly staff, and a cool space. I met the owner the other day and he was super nice and passionate about the food he serves. My favorites are the chicken bakon ranch sando and the Gyro, but you really can’t go wrong with anything there. Go try it out, even if you’re not vegan, it’s so good.

I am not vegan, but stopped here with a vegan buddy on our way back to San Diego from LA. Wowza! The menu is Mind-bending, the food is absolutely perfect (fresh, tasty, filling, generously portioned) and the owner is just a great guy - pays attention to everyone that comes in and makes them feel welcome and special. You can tell that this is a labor of love for him. The venue itself is so quirky, funky and cool, with a fantastic outdoor area. We sat inside where there are awesome books, prints, knick-knacks wherever your eye wanders. But, at the end of the day, I'd come back here any day on the FOOD and SERVICE alone. Great experience for this non-vegan!

You will have a variety of gluten-free and vegan options to choose from on the menu. We truly enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and the sweet potato base. Just warn your parents, the Philly sandwich is not steak, set the expectations before you order.

I really wanted to give this place a second chance; but omg the cheese was so jelly like that it fell right off the pizza. Tried to add the pizza video but it wouldn’t upload. The tacos?Like this? The tortilla was so thick it felt like a wrap and the ingredients were so burnt that's all you could taste. With so little vegan restaurants in the area I truly was rooting for it.. would not recommend.
