Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs

Hungry Howie’s is an occasional indulgence I enjoy when in Florida. As I eat low-carb, i was excited to see the No Dough Bowls on the menu. I ordered the Meat Lovers and it was more fantastic than I expected! The sauce has a tiny kick to it that accumulates over time — not overpowering, very flavorful. I also want to point out the 5-star service I received from David F., who was the sole worker at the location lunchtime on a Thursday. David did an outstanding job of doing one thing at a time and doing it very well, before moving on to his next task. This included keeping me informed of how soon he would be able to take my walk-in order and how quickly my order would be ready — which was much quicker than the initial expectation David set. Nice job. There is some seating and this was a nice place to sit with my headphones and take a business conference call during my lunch. Be aware the fountain drink machine does not work, but there is a cash vending machine for drinks and there is a Walgreens in the same shopping center where you can obtain your drink of choice.

The boys were awesome! Fast and friendly!!! Food was amazing!!! First time customer and will be a repeat as often as possible!!!

We go there mostly for the salads. They are good. If you go to the store, you usually don't have too much of a wait. Trying to order by phone is a different matter. Either you can't get through or you have to wait a bit and then you get disconnected.

Good pizza nice people would of been 5 if the were faster the manager\ supervisor talks to much and distracts the employee's from doing there work. Wait till no one is in the store then tell your stories or help him make pizzas while you share them.

*Revised Review* ordered from here again and got a Pepperoni and bacon pizza and they only put bacon on it when it was delivered. It’s not that hard. *Original Review* Had a good experience.. it’s not the best Hungry Howies ever BUT for my first time ordering from here, I had no problems.

They should reach out to anyone placing an online order and let them know if the wait is going to be more than an hour and allow them to cancel or pick up. Other than that the pizza itself has always been a good consistent quality.

Used them since they opened. In the recent months, they have messed up my orders, taken longer then they said to expect, and the dough was raw in a calzone. When I called them to let them know of the problems, they blamed other employees and refused to refund me for the inconvenience. I will no longer use this location.

I give it 2 stars because the pizza needed way more time cooking. The bottom was super oily and not done. When I got home, I had to put it in the over another 10 minutes. I know they are busy, but cook the pizza. ( note: it was good after more time in over)

This location has had several issues since opening. Sometimes they're on point and I enjoy the food, but most times they miss the mark badly. Lately my pizza comes out underdone and let's face it no one likes doughy pizza. Tired of giving them chances at this point.

Basically I really like the rooms,the out and inside very nice. People at desk Initially was great!! I'm here with elderly mom with asthma n myself as well. So until this morning great stay here!!!! Breakfast Was a complete travesty from the organisation of it to be over full to the sausages being burnt on one side undercooked on the. The whole set up music was a travesty disgusted made me angry the 6' intervals as well as the entire organised on holiday obtain your breakfast was disorganised in very very not good. In my Room there is something that releases some type of incense or special smell to make them. Mom has asthma so die in that smell started the asthma for both of us I called the front desk they assured me things since someone down. They called back and told me there was on their way housing or maintenance of whatever to turn that off or deal with. That's what a hour since right now and I am writing this hour after someone was on their way and that sent was starting as attack from me and my family. This is severe and I can't even believe that they would even let me think that come into fix it when we could just one outside until they came. Again a travesty there was no reason to promise that there was gonna come take care of this either turn off the mechanism that shoot out that smell. Or just tell us to come out of the room! The external part of this hotel is beautiful from the weight Room to the pool very nice. But as of right now I can't give you nothing but the negative feedback based on someone promised anything gonna come and handle this smell that's initiate asthma for my 80 year old elderly mother in bothering me as well. Hare to lieve this but it is what it is. An this is real honest feeling an opinion. We're leaving tommrow. By the way I also have 3 rooms in my name with family in those rooms!! We,ll see how rest of my stay is today🤥😐🤔

Ordered 2 med pizzas and sub at 6:47pm. At 8:15 called to find out status as,the app still showed the order still being made. Was told order just left the store. At 8:55 food was finally delivered(40mins after call). Should not take 2hrs to make a,few pizzas and 40mins to drive 3.2miles. Was very disappointed with my experence at this location.

Ordered the Asiago bread and it was horrible. I asked the manager if I could get something else and he was like there is nothing I can do about it. Not good customer service at all. I love their pizza but that Asiago cheese they use is gross.

Made order at 640 pm and still no delivery as of yet, 853 pm. Checked delivery email stated on road, I only live 4 miles down the road still no delivery. No answer when I call to get update on my food. Should be a zero rating, but Google doesn’t allow me to rate that low!

We had an error come through when we placed an online order that made the order pop up 3 times. When we attempted to contact the restaurant regarding over 130 being taken from my account from the duplicated orders, we were repeatedly placed immediately on hold or blatantly hung up on. Now, based on the app, we may even have 3 orders that we don’t want on the way to our door! It’s just astonishing how we were even willing to overlook the lack of communication, but even the food is later than it’s scheduled time by over 30 minutes.

Delivery was fast but incorrect for 2 dinner orders. I called to let them know. They kept talking over me and said they would only provide me a free 2 ltr if I came to pick it up. I said I ordered delivery because I'm unable to drive there. He said oh well and hung up. HORRIBLE customer service. If you get the right order, you are lucky. If not, good luck receiving good customer service. Will NOT order from there again. Update: Someone called me back to argue with me. Stated that the person who took my order didn't know what I wanted and it was my fault she put in an incorrect order. He started yelling so I told him if he called my number again I would call the police.

Unbelievable. I simply needed a pizza remade. Dan the "manager" was short with my wife and interrupted her which got her upset. He was saying the bread not being cut and it being way too salty was not an issue and made us seem like we were criminals trying to get free pizza., then saying we have to contact the main office to get a pizza remade??? Huh?? You're telling me if I bring in the uneaten pizza and tell you I didn't enjoy it, it was gross, the "manager" can't simply remake it? Absolutely horrible customer service and NOT how a manager should handle this situation. As a manager you stay calm and collected. That's not what he did. Our cat died yesterday and his reaction was "that's not my problem" instead of understanding why him treating us like criminals would upset my wife further. You're supposed to deescalate issues and problems. Worst "manager" I've ever delt with. Please listen to our conversations on the phone and realize his reactions were emotion filled with hate, not understanding and trying to help and de escalate the situation. After I called back he wouldnt give me his name and hung up on me even though I was being respectful and tried to solve the issue ( horrible manager). I will never return to hungry howies and as a local guide, I'll repost this often so everyone knows to avoid the worst manager in the world. Oh and by the way, your whole store smells like sewage.

I've had plenty of issues dealing with rude employees and messed up orders, but when I overheard a bald white guy that claimed to be the manager openly and without shame insult and then say some really nasty things about a customer after the customer walked out (and I witnessed the customer was actually being very civil, they were just stating that their order was wrong), I can honestly say, I will NOT be returning to this store if that "manger" is still working there!!! I honestly feel he would mess with their food just to mess with that customer! And that is not a restaurant I can trust!!! The owners there really need to do something about their staff! This place has a lot of bad reviews already!

I would have given zero stars but was not ab option. Ordered 1 pizza and a salad. Took 3 hours & 6 minutes to get it. Called 3 times to find out what was going on. The people I spoke to had no idea what they were doing. Cold pizza, warm salad. Don't ever order from this location. BAD FOOD, SERVICE & STAFF!!!

I'd love to give 0 stars !! Horrible service, very unenergetic employees... And why does it always smell like poop in there? I thought the last time, maybe it's just me, but then came in again and realized it's just them... No wonder the employees are so uncaring... Whoever owns or runs this place should just know that they are disgusting..

Ordered my food at 5PM, it said it would be a 90 minute wait, so I knew it would be awhile...after 2 hours I called up there with no answer, the phone was picked up twice and hung up. After 15 minutes of that I finally got someone who said my order was going out when the delivery guy got back. 1 hour later I tried calling again, took me only 10 minutes to get through this time, and they still hadn't even finished making my order and didn't know when they would deliver it...long story short I drove up there and finally got my food 3.5 hours later, half of it was cold, the other half over cooked. They were under staffed and under trained. NEVER ever go to this store!!

Pizza is good but the manager has no ppl skills and very rude

Intentionally over charged me when their own signage clearly states Large 2 Topping for $9.99. Was charged nearly double. I was charged $11.99 for my pizza $2.00 for Pepperoni and $3.50 for bacon. Total $18.63 and I walked in and ordered/picked up.

Ordered a salad with no ham, no meat because I'm a vegetarian and there was ham in my salad. All they offered me was a 2 liter...don't drink soda either. I even offered to take a picture of it....because the manager didn't seem to believe me. It also took them almost two hours to get it to me and all I ordered was salad and breadsticks 👀

Order through Uber Eats and my Deluxe sub came without the sub set (again) and the dough was burnt and smelled burnt. Called them and they told me it was Uber Eats problem now and there was nothing they could do. I offered to bring it back if they could replace it and they said no. You think they would want to make the customer happy but the manager didnt care.

This has to be the worst pizza placd around.enployee's dont care about the job at all.act like they got it bad go work outside and then you can cry making pizza is hard. Always a problem with this store whether ive got to hear them complaining about their job or like tonight closing 25 minutes early after they already took my order . Would have been nice for someone to leave me a message takes 10 seconds.

Came in to order a pizza and drinks, immediately told it would take long, the drink machine is broken, it’s self serve if we want to sit down, the 2 liters were hot because he just put them in there. We tried to lighten the mood with a little humor and he snapped and said he has no time for jokes!! Well sorry sir, but your energy made the interaction extremely uncomfortable. Sorry to stop by and disrupt you!! Mind you, we were the only people in the building! Needless to say we took our money elsewhere.

I placed an order over the phone. As I was ordering the man taking my order kept telling me what I order ALL THE TIME, they don’t make that! When I went to pick my order up, the order was completely wrong, so I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to fix the order. When I told the assistant manager, he corrected my order but I watched him make my new food with no gloves on!!! I told the other man to tell him to remake my food with gloves on and he didn’t. I was so disgusted!!! If they didn’t make my food with gloves on in front of me then my other food had to be made with no gloves on! When it came to the bill, because it was already paid for. I told him what I get is $4.25 so I need the difference from what you charged me. He told me he will let his manager know when he gets back and did nothing about it. The food all together was very doughy and not cooked all the way! This place is very unsanitary and the workers need to be trained better. Especially with everything going around making my food on with no gloves?!!! Like seriously disgusting!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND

He also does not greet people and say “Hello” The manager on duty, a white guy… advised me that he has been “doing this for 10 years” when I asked for my pizza to be well done because it wasn’t last time I asked Joshua. All I wanted was my cheese a little brown. I didn’t think it would be such an issue. The manager made the pizza as I wished. The two gentleman that work at night have never given me issues when I asked for my pizza well done and always look to upsale my order and make sure I’m satisfied.

Most of the time you can’t even pick up the slice because the dough is not cooked at the bottom. I love the pizza when it’s made correctly. But this place is horrible and clearly does not know how to make pizza that does not fall apart when you try and pick it up. If you order . Make sure to have a fork and knife handy . P.S I hate writing reviews but I’m tired of them making money off people and not doing what they are paid for.

The women’s bathroom (supposedly requires a key) has no light, no toilet paper come on guys we have to do BETTER!!!!!

I order 2 salads and a pizza, the lettuce on the salad was already turning color i had to throw them both away, then the pizza looks crappy. Called the store asked to speak to a manager waited on the phone he never came to the phone on top of that if was rude when I was at the location. This definitely needs to be addressed by the hire up.
