Loved it, it was my first time there and the hostess was very sweet and helpful. The server was excellent. And I love the bar restaurant area which was a nice touch. Will be back soon.

This our first time at Tio Gordo's The service was really great Friendly people We orderer a Menudo, queso fundido with chorizo cheese, and steak tampiqueña Everything was delicious And before we left we order some ice cream nachos and a flan Long story short when we got home I was missing my flan so I gave them a call They apologize and asked me for my address, less then 5 minutes my flan arrive and the guy showed me the ticket wich didnt include flan, and they still brought it out for free, I gave him a good tip They have an incredible service We would be back soon for sure

I'm a regular here and come in a few times a month. They are always very friendly and happy to see me each time. I try different things ont he menu depending on what I'm hungry for. I also understand they frequently provide food the local High School Bands. The trio fajitas are my favorite, but I also really enjoy their been and cheese nachos. Sopapillas are always a good choice at the end of the meal. I miss the little mom and pop place I ate back home and this is very close to the feel of that place and the quality of food also makes it favorite.

First time there...great food, atmosphere and service. We celebrated a birthday for a dear friend something small and cozy. When the owner, Ulysses (excuse the misspelling),was made aware he came over to our table to wish the birthday girl (in her 60s)a special birthday wish and gave her a nice dessert with candle! He offered great conversation and you could see his humbleness and the genuine person he is. The tasteful and delicious food reflects his natural talent and experience with cooking. He and his staff made us feel right at home and welcomed on our very first visit! You will not be disappointed!

The proprietors many years in the restaurant industry has allowed him to create a variety of dishes that will appeal to the palate of the discerning eater and many others that anyone can love. Friendly service and a well stocked bar add to a relaxing and fun atmosphere that's great for family, business, or sports with several viewing screens well placed. Can't wait to go again. We love this place! We have tried many of the menu items and we have not been disappointed with any of them. Everything tastes fresh and so flavorful! Tacos Al Pastor are my personal favorite but the enchiladas and chile rellenos are a close second. Plus, the staff are wonderful and so attentive! Definitely a gem for this growing neighborhood! P.S. Don’t skip the desserts… they are amazing! :)

Excellent food, I had the beef, chicken, and shrimp fajita plate, it was excellent, my girlfriend had a combo plate with red cheese enchilada and taco, the red sauce was delicious!! Excellent service, we felt at home for sure. We'll definitely be coming back!

Tio Gordo’s Texican Cafe is my family’s favorite we get the usual Street Taco plate witch is amazing!!! The new expansion was much needed now it’s not so crowded. They have Great staff they are very friendly and the Chips and Queso with ground beef is amazing, though I’m not sure it’s on the menu you have to ask for it.

These are literally the BEST in town. I love that this place is only like 2 to 3 minutes away from us. See yall soon! Thank you for the delicious dinner! We had chips and salsa, and the salsa was served hot not cold or room temperature, it is very good! We had combination nachos too with entrees of barbacoa tacos and asado, the asado was very tender and not too spicy and the barbacoa was not greasy either, give it a visit!

Ordered take out for the first time from them and I had heard mixed reviews. Exactly why you should always find out for yourself how a place is. Everything was amazing! From the order taken over the phone, the delicious meal, omg the tortillas and queso! Nachos, fajitas and asado was on point! We just moved to the neighborhood recently and now I’m even more happy we did because this establishment! It’s nice to get good service, and a bonus because the food is so good! And the sweet desert y’all put in there. Took kindness and care. Very rare quality around here so I definitely believe it’s good to give credit where it’s due. Can’t wait to dine in! I ordered menudo and it was good and hot but not enough beef compared to the hominey and the Bread was not toasted, the pancakes were really good. Coffee was good and strong.

Full size tortillas! Chicken fajitas tasted great, but the rice just wasnt it... Rice was rather wet/mushy and just didn't taste like good Mexican rice. Not the worst rice I've ever ate, but definitely subpar in my opinion.

The service was good as well as the food. The staff is friendly, the music is not too loud you can still talk. I will recomend to others.

Full size tortillas! Chicken fajitas tasted great, but the rice just wasnt it... Rice was rather wet/mushy and just didn't taste like good Mexican rice. Not the worst rice I've ever ate, but definitely subpar in my opinion.

I went ahead and ordered 2 crispy taco plates for me and my husband, and a small chicken fajita plate for my 2 year old, it came over $50... it's not worth the price honestly. There was maybe a teaspoon of meat in each taco and we were so disappointed. I wish they made a quesadilla plate with rice and beans but no they charge $7 for one quesadilla and separately for each side (rice, beans). The food is good, but it's not that good. Ill put it this way, the amount of food you get, is not worth the price.

They use fake cheese on the nachos. Not shredded. Too many mushy beans on them so everything turned to mush. Terrible. Music toooo loud. And then the tvs are also on making it even more loud. Not relaxing at all.

Been going here a while now. I can personally say it's gone way down hill. Started great but not sure what happened. Went there once and only a few people there. Got my food but my girl had to wait forever for here's because they kept forgetting about it. The server came up to us 4 times asking how we are doing. Each time I said "still wait for her meal". Not okay for a slow night. When she got her food mine was well past just warm. Other trips my order has been screwed up or something left out. I really wanted to like this place. I've eaten here at leat 20+ times. I sucks I have to say I'm done giving this place money. Over priced for small portions to boot.

The owner is not welcoming or friendly. You fend for yourself to find a table because none of the staff will greet you or give direction. Once seated we waited 10 min for someone to come bring drinks. Then another 15 min passed and we finally asked if we could order: the food is tasteless. Save yourself the time and go to taco bell. The stager really needs a lesson in customer service and the food should be cooked rather than opened from a can; canned cheese, canned beans, premade taco shells.

I ordered 3 burritos, 2 barbacoa and 1 chicken fajita burrito. They charge $10 a burrito. $30 for 3 burritos is outrageous ! They were mediocre too. The food is not good enough to be charging that much. Will not be returning.

Bought one burrito paid 10 dollars for it the told me the price changes depending on who charges would of been okay with it if it would have atleast been flavorful but it was plain with 2 pieces of meat

Food was terrible. I ordered the combo quesadilla and received only 3 tiny pieces of meat and a whole lotta cheese. Very expensive for the amout of food. I left still hungry. I've been to food truck thats serve more food in a single burrito.

Got chicken + cheese enchilada plates and fried mushrooms. For the price I would expect better food, you can get a better tasting enchilada plate at united super market. I'm honestly not sure if they even cook the food there, the beans and rice tasted store bought / frozen/canned. Definitely not fresh. The chicken enchiladas had no filling and where cold not 5 minutes after getting them. I realize I got them takeout but if they cant stay hot for a 3 block drive they weren't hot in the first place.
