MORE THAN LUNCH: A RETURN TO OUR ROOTS AT LA MAGIONE ​⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ​We chose Chef Paolo's La Magione in Olivola for our annual cousins' get-together, and we couldn't have made a better choice. We were looking for a place that was logistically close, yet had a deep and authentic soul. ​As soon as we crossed the threshold, the atmosphere enveloped us: for us, it was like instantly stepping back into the tavern of our grandmother's farmhouse. Chef Paolo has created an atmosphere reminiscent of home, where tradition is enhanced by excellent ingredients. ​Lunch was a journey through the flavors of the region: fragrant mushrooms, a masterfully cooked braised beef with polenta, and, to finish on a sweet note, a panna cotta with zabaglione that alone was worth the trip. All accompanied by a carefully curated local wine list that best reflects our land. ​We are united by distance, but always close at heart, and this lunch was our sacred ritual. Like a tree that needs new sap every year, gathering here has allowed our roots to grow and strengthen. While life outside is chaotic with professional commitments, at the tables of the Magione, time has stood still, allowing our "cousinhood" to shine once again. ​A special thank you to the Chef: his cuisine nourishes the body and reawakens memories. We will definitely return for our next appointment. Because here, we truly feel at home.

A lovely restaurant in a small town a few kilometers from Casale Monferrato. The atmosphere is youthful yet unobtrusive, and the cuisine is excellent, prepared with great care and expertise. The service is efficient and available for any questions or requests regarding the various dishes. The menu is very carefully curated and delicious. Definitely worth a try.

We were pleasantly surprised by both the elegance of the place and the service. Excellent food, the fresh tomino cheese with orange marmalade was amazing, as was the vitello tonnato. Excellent first and desserts. The price was more than fair, with a tasting menu, a first course, service charge, and coffee for €53. The only downside was that with the tinted glass on the front door, the place seemed closed. If we were to pass by again, we'd gladly pop in. 😉

Delicious lunch 😋 A lovely, warm and welcoming place like Antonietta, a cheerful, kind woman who welcomes you with love. Good selection of local and international wines. Excellent fish dishes. Mixed antipasto served warm with tender octopus, mussels, and seafood salad. Shrimp gnocchi with saffron cream, generous and delicious. The meat is also excellent. Superb beef chop. Choice of two tasting menus. What can I say about the soft sandwiches made by Antonietta: delicious. If you're on a motorbike, ask for permission and she'll let you park inside the private courtyard. Worth a stop!!!!

We had the pleasure of having lunch on a Saturday morning at this welcoming, warm, and friendly restaurant, recommended by friends. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. We opted for the workers' menu and ate: 2 saffron risottos, 1 grilled chicken, 1 mixed cheese platter, 2 desserts, 1 still water, 1 sparkling water, 1 coffee. Total €37.50 for two people. Parking is available in a nearby lot (see photo).

A welcoming and lively place, nestled in a medieval village (Olivola), where you can enjoy excellent food and excellent wine, all served by friendly and smiling staff who will make you feel right at home. House liqueurs with tiramisu (Anto's) make for a happy ending, and with the added bonus of singing karaoke at the end of the evening, you'll have a truly joyful evening. ✨♥️

We went for dinner, and what can I say? We were greeted by the very kind and patient staff, who immediately made you feel at ease. We opted for the meat tasting menu with house wine, everything was delicious, with almost generous portions. The restaurant is also well-kept, elegant but not overdone. The bathroom was spotless despite the restaurant being full. We had a great time. We'll definitely be back!
