Opinions de Donuts & Ice Cream Ontario
Such a cute little shop. We came here today to try their donuts. We got an ensaymada and a strawberry crumble. I wasn’t sure about the ensaymada because there is cheddar cheese on top, but I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t really taste like cheese. The donut was so fluffy and the buttercream was so smooth and creamy. The strawberry crumble donut was nice and fruity. We ended up coming back a couple hours later to try their ice cream. So glad we did! We got the peanut butter fudge ripple brownie and the coffee stracciatella flavours. The peanut butter one was very strong and had almost a peanut butter texture, but it was really good (as long as you like peanut butter). I preferred the coffee one. The texture was different- almost more like a sorbet texture, but the flavour was amazing. Staff were really friendly (I think one of them was Nicky himself), which added to the experience. Do yourself a favour and give this shop a try!
This place is super cute. The donut selection is super limited if you go late so try to go early! I got a dozen and most were okay but some lacked excitement and flavour. Mind you because we went at closing all the good flavours were gone. Regardless it’s still a cute spot with great service and good donuts.
Had the pleasure of meeting Nicky + Sam this morning. They were both so informative of all the different flavour profiles & which to avoid (we had some allergy concerns). They offered us samples of the different ice cream flavours. We ended up getting 1 of each flavour donut and doubled up on 2 others. We also got a carrot cake ice cream. Everything was so fresh, delicious and well done. The marketing is amazing. The simple minimalistic fonts and designs used are eye catching and not overwhelming. The main colour in this store is pink & who doesn't love pink?! Totally instagrammable if you're into that. Thank you so much for having us, I can't wait to come by again!
Visited Collingwood for a short staycation with my boyfriend and dog and Nicky’s Doughnuts and Ice Cream was just around the corner. The interior was so cute and pink - we had to stop by! The employee that helped us was so kind and I was even briefly able to let my dog inside while we ordered a pint for takeout. The mango ice cream was so good - best mango ice cream I’ve had if I’m being entirely honest! Also was pleasantly surprised by the Filipino inspired ice cream flavours they had available. Couldn’t resist grabbing a pint of guyabano (soursop) for my parents haha
Oh my goodness, drive by during the day and you are guaranteed to see a line up of patrons waiting to enter to order up some deliciousness. Small place, clean, bright in pink and white. Every doughnut is 1000% DELICIOUS!! I believe the Ferrero Rocher and lime cruller are my faves. Sooooooo DAMN GOOD!!
Love these doughnuts as a treat once in a while. Great look and better flavour. Ice cream is also great. Just enough options for everyone.
I have travelled all over Ontario tasting donuts and have come to the conclusion that I prefer yeast donuts over cake hands down. There were 8 options to choose from. We ended up with the apple fritter, black forest, lemon crueller, vanilla, maple and butter pecan. Chose to pass on the cinnamon sugar and chocolate bar. Let's just say that the apple fritter didn't make it to the photo, because it was that good. The lemon crueller was heaven and my personal favourite, especially with a cup of coffee in the other hand. Absolutely scrumptious! I think Nicky's Doughnuts has stolen the number one spot in our books. Sadly, living so far I couldn't buy a pint of the icecream without it melting but I had the pleasure of tasting the soursop and it took me home with the exotic flavour. Definitely a hidden gem in Collingwood and a must try for donut lovers of all ages!
Fantastic! Big, tasty, and filling too. Each donut has it's own unique taste to it, which is something you'd don't get at most donut places. The best part is, they have the perfect level of sweetness; not too sugary and more of a balanced taste. So far, the Hibiscus donut is my favorite; I plan to try them all.
We stopped by to get some doughnuts an hr before closing and they were sold out - will have to come again another time! We ordered 2 kiddie sized scoops ($3 each, generous portion). We ordered strawberry, and bananoffee (banana pie & toffee). The strawberry was very light and you got bits of fresh strawberry too. The bananaoffee was just the right amount of sweet. We were so excited to eat it that we forgot to take photos beforehand. We definitely plan to come again to try other flavours and the doughnuts
What a wonderful place, friendly owners and delicious food. Articulately made and satisfying, worth the drive. Have a chat, share a treat. A bit of it the way on a side street but easy to find. Parking is public and you have to pay which is to bad. Enjoy it all and share.

Nicky's is a must-try Collingwood icon & destination. We lived a few doors down and walked by their shop around 5am every morning and without fail would see the owners inside churning fresh ice cream and making doughnuts every. single. morning. You can taste the hard work in every single scoop and bite, nothing else around Collingwood even comes close to their quality. When leaving this review I saw a few negative ones and simply cannot make sense of them. These are 2 of the hardest working people who make some of the best desserts we've ever tried - same goes for anyone we bring there. There will always be negative people in the world, but Nicky's ice cream will make it all better (especially their carrot cake flavour!). We bring Nicky's to every dinner party we're invited to and even had their ice cream at our wedding. Just can't get enough.
Oh em geeeee!!! Have just had the best donuts of my life 💕. SO fresh (they start baking at 2:00 am), incredible flavours, decadent in every way. The salted caramel..almost wish we’d never been introduced! A must go-to 🍩 (and Sam and Caesar are charming)
Absolutely amazing. The donuts are light with just the right amount of crunch and sweetness without being overpowering. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Will I be going back again tomorrow? Absolutely. 12/10
I am a self proclaimed donut aficionado. so when I come to a new area I always check out donut places to try. Was looking to get a donut to try , ended up was tempted by the buttertart ice cream (which was out of this world). Still grabbed some donuts and ate them later, outstanding is all I can say. The lemon meringue reminded me of my great grandmothers lemon meringue pie. Will come back to Nicky's whenever I am in the area

Fast, friendly service and delicious doughnuts every time. The blueberry cheesecake and almond doughsant flavours are 11/10

Decided to stop by here today with my husband because we were feeling down and wanted a treat to cheer us up. Nicky was amazing and introduced their specialty ice cream extremely well, discussing the cultural influences that went into making them. After a little sample my husband got the turon and devoured it, loved it! I got the sweet corn blueberry cream cheese and it was so good. I also got an apple fritter and didn't get to eat it until much later in the day but the doughnut was also delicious, the best tasting vegan apple fritter I've had in a long time. I recommend stopping by to try out some of the unique flavours, highly recommended!
2025 July 4★ A small local business serving great ice cream and donuts. Good value and priced right. With many flavors to choose from, it can be challenging... But you can taste test it. One scoop $6 Kids scoop $4 If you love ice cream and want to try more flavors, I suggest getting multiple kid scoops. Street parking. Free on the weekends.
Stopped in for a quick treat while visiting Blue Mountain. This shop is tucked away on a side street which is nice because Hurontario can be a bit hectic and hard to find parking. The gentleman who served me was warm & friendly. He shared his recommendations for ice cream and let me try a couple of flavours before I decided to go with sweet corn & blueberry (so unique!). Bonus point for not charging extra for waffle cones from plain. I was a little disappointed at the lack of donut options at 1:30pm but it shows they’re popular so good for them! We really enjoyed the yeasty donut (matcha banana) - nice texture and bold flavouring, however the honey miso butter was a bit of a miss. The glaze made the outside crunchy and inside was dry, also couldn’t pick up miso flavour, in fact my just eating it I wouldn’t be able to guess what it’s supposed to be. I’ll pre-order next time to make sure I get the flavours I want.
Went here and got a earl grey or London fog donut (can’t remember which the name was). It was delicious. Definitely a filling donut different texture and taste than you would get at Tim’s. A little pricey but that’s the price of quality baked goods. I would definitely like to go to try other flavours the ice cream flavours looks interesting and really tasty. Would love to go back.

Visited Collingwood for the weekend and it was fabulous. Not so for this Ice Cream and Donut place. Out of the way place and on entry looked a little contrived but thought maybe the ice cream was good. Very limited selection and hardly any donuts available, The ice cream was SO OVERPRICED it was crazy. I got 2 x pints in containers at $14.00 EACH. A plain cinnamon donut was $4 each. I spent nearly $40.00 for 2 pints and 2 donuts. I could have got 19 strawberry sundaes at McDonalds for that. Still the ice cream must be good at that price right? AWFUL tasted like watery ice. Mango was like honey and ice and the Choc Ganache was icey and terrible couldn't eat them. This is a place top avoid sadly

The Apple fritter was so greasy. I bit into it and a big gush of grease went into my mouth and dominated the flavour. Very few and thin Apple pieces and not much Apple flavour. Sugar and grease mostly. It was also $4.

The most oily / greasy donuts. Took a bite of one and tossed the box of the other in the garbage. Icing falls off very easily too. Was looking forward to a sweet treat, so that was disappointing.
