So far one of the best Cafe I have visited since 10 years being in California. The reviews attracted my attention to visit it. The nice thing before entering the cafe, was the outside area. A beautiful green court in front and lots of trees that makes the street more beautiful and cooler and of course plenty of free street parking. I value service a lot, so My first expression was great, the barista was very energetic, respectful and kind enough to ask me right question to tailor the best type of coffee in terms of size, richness and sweetness of it with good suggestions. She also was kind enough to make a free good quality tea, because I said I am a tea person. By the way, The tea was out of this world. The hot pastrami sandwich was made in timely manner and I liked it with my Mexican mocha coffee. Plus the delicious tea. The price was reasonable and nothing different from similar cafe’s. Also it felt so good that she trust me as a customer, to start making my drink without asking for payment which made me feel valued customer although that was my first time there. The cafe itself looks cozy, peaceful and clean with regular local customers and in fact the big outside green view visible from inside makes the place look bigger and much more nicer. My suggestion is for people who appreciate peaceful place to drink coffee and enjoy the morning while reading or scrolling some post on social media or have a quick chat with their friend or partner. Try it once and you will love it. Peace!
Got a smoothie and medium mint chip gelatto here. The lady who served me was super nice. She speaks Mandarin and we talked a bit about the history of the place. The atmosphere is very cute. Check it out if you’re ever in Orinda. Oh, and the gelatto and smoothie were very yummy.
We stopped in for some coffee and a bite and it was so yummy. We got the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches with coffee and it all was so good. Jenny was so personable and very sweet.
Great place, no matter how busy they are they are always kind, the food is amazing with a homemade flavor. The staff is very patient with kids.
Oh yes, relaxing and fresh lunch spot. Enjoy curry salad sandwich on sunflower wheat bread. Tasty and filling. The corn chowder was a highlight too. Dog friendly place.

Found this little gem while looking a somewhere to grab breakfast locally. Great food and service. Baked goods and breakfast sandwiches were delicious. Good selection of coffee and espresso, plus smoothies for the kids
I’m really happy to find this place. Quiet, inexpensive, good food and coffee, super friendly owner, and decent wifi. I work remotely and like to get out of the house. This will be definitely my regular spot to do my morning emails and have breakfast.
Been going here for years, I live a little up the street. A classic "mom an pop" Cafe. They do good coffee, sandwiches, soup, and breakfast bagels/pastries. Not a bad place to take a work call in front to enjoy some sunshine and coffee as well.
The vibe is great, the service is great. The place is pristine, they deserve all the stars. I got the pastrami and though I was a little disappointed with the size, I get it, times are expensive. My only feedback to them would be about their Chai. they use a concentrate which is fine, but it is too sweet and not strong enough. I would recommend going back to the drawing board to make it more potent and less sweet please. Feedback from an Indian lol
This is cafe at the Orinda village. It has a surreal vibe, with an old Californian feel, with locals showing up and hanging out starting at 8 am. The service was a little slow as only one person, the owner, I am assuming, was working on Monday morning. The BLT I got was ok, the bacon was overcooked, but the coffee was good. Everything was reasonably priced (in comparison to the prices in this affluent area).
Didn't get a pic of the sandwich because I was too hungry and started chowing down as soon as it was made. I tried the Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich on Sesame Bread. Delicious!! I will definitely check out some of their other creations. Looks like a serene area to sit outside so hopefully next time, it won't be as windy.
Such a nice restaurant with the best turkey club ever. Fresh ingredients and the kindness people! After judo we come here very often and have thoroughly enjoyed Geppettos Cafe.
Was at Orinda bart, hungry, looked up sandwich places and found Geppetto's. Called, 5 minutes ahead of time, and when I showed up my Sandwich and salad was ready, grabbed a couple sparkling sodas from the fridge, and left. Clean, organized, and friendly staff, will definitely come back again. Big menu selection, and yes!, very delicious food. Thank you for making my first time at your Cafe a pleasant one.

Pastrami on wheat sandwich and split pea soup were amazing. Nice choice of pastry for dessert with coffee. The cashier is friendly and nice. Gluten-free options available too.

This small bakery has fresh wild blackberry muffins that are perfectly made and very tasty. I also had the coffee frappe made while you wait for your bakery item. Very unique menu from my experience. They have nice tables outside or you can stay inside. I would give it a 5, if not for the problem connecting to the internet. I planned on doing work but unable to connect via their wifi. (Which was free if you can get on it.). I connect just fine at other coffee shops with no problem.
