This was our second time at this location and we still left impressed. We came in for a quick bite before an event, everyone was so nice and attentive. The food came out quick and so fresh! The Pork Fat tacos were our favorite — they are a must have!! Also the sweet plantains were so sweet and not oily! We will be back again! Thanks for the great food & service!

Looking for BEST tacos and a fun atmosphere? You found it! This place has it all...tacos, ambiance, friendly service, the hipster feel, and above all some of the AMAZING food I have had. And this comes from a global traveled perspective. The fresh corn tacos melt in your mouth. The drink options are awesome and seating is limited but part of the experience. A must try and you will not regret. Keep it up guys. 👍🏻

Every time I come to Orlando I make an effort to stop here and get some amazing tacos! My favorite is the crispy fish, which has avocado, pickled cabbage, and radish and comes together very nicely. I also tried the pork belly taco for the first time, which might be second place for me. It was crispy and had a delicious flavor. The black rooster asada is also great. This time a tried the regular carne asada and I was a bit disappointed. The sauce was almost bbq-y and really didn’t taste like a good carne asada. My boyfriend tried the steak with chimichurri taco and while it was fine, it was overloaded with toppings. That being said, the good tacos are excellent and I will continue to come back for more! Also, the tres leches cake is delicious and a perfect (and huge!) dessert!

Black Rooster Taqueria is a fabulous place to eat. Every single taco was phenomenal (from right to left Brisket, Pork Fat, and Black Roster Asda). It’s hard to stop eating the guacamole and chips as well as the chips and salad. Definitely a place you need to try if you love gourmet tacos.

Another local legend in the books for me. I don't know why it took me so long to come here, but in terms of word-of-mouth, this place is like in the top five of popularity. So I grabbed some friends and went to see what this place was all about. Ambiance is very good. It's like a Hispanic dive bar. Very tight and comfy and with very fun artwork all over the walls. It's counter service, and has an open kitchen. Very nice employees all around, and you can see the gang having fun in the kitchen, just creating a good vibe. As for the food, well, it was out of this world. There are 10 main tacos on their menu, so we ordered one of each, of course. Because if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. The menu said that these are corn tortillas, but there's something special about these corn tortillas. They act like flour tortillas. They are very soft and fold very well. I didn't have one break on me the whole time. Very good tortillas. As for the fillings, they really give you great bang for your buck. The tortillas are filled up and couldn't get any fuller honestly. High quality stuff. Every ingredient tasted very vibrant and fresh. And unlike other taco shops that just give you different combinations of the same eight ingredients five at a time, this place has unique ingredients for each one of their 10 tacos. Something small, and maybe not everyone would notice, but I noticed, and I thank the Black Rooster. Looking back, I couldn't possibly remember all of the tacos and describe all of them, but I will highlight some things. The Chicken Tinga was the biggest surprise for how good it was compared to initial predictions. The Atlantic cod in the Crispy Fish taco was amazing. It's a fatty enough fish to really be something substantial. Don't sleep on their vegetarian options. Their smoked kale was omg, mind blowingly good. I finished up with a Tres Leches Cake (3 milk soaked sponge cake). This was ok. If you're a tres leches fan, but don't want to order too many tacos, for fear of not having room for dessert, just get the taco. Overall, I understand now. This place was amazing. It's not even fair how much better it is over all other taco places in town.

This place has the best quality Mexican food you could imagine! The tacos were so succulent and delicious. The plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. Definitely high quality food cooked fresh on the spot and served in timely manner. The wait for the food was not long at all. There's no question that this will be saved on my list of places to return to on the next visit to Orlando!

Seeing tortillas being rolled out by hand and then pressed beautifully before getting griddled with a perfect texture and flavor! 6 tacos all different meats and garnishes each was purely delicious in their own right. The shrimp and chorizo was not pictured because it came out hot and fresh. We had the achiote pork, fried cod with cabbage, smoked brisket, black rooster asada, regular asada. Loved everything and would absolutely be here regularly if I wasn't 2.5 hours away. However my new spot to pickup tacos when driving through the Orlando area!

Unique experience! I was worried I'd be getting a tex-mex style burrito bowl, but I was pleasantly surprised by the creativity. My friends got tacos, and I had the Pozolo bowl (minus the queso) - delicious! They serve it in a bowl full of broth and with a few chips. I got a side of rice to enjoy the broth with. All that cost me about $20 with my 18% tip. Environment is really cool, I love the decor. Service was friendly, causal, and fast! Definitely worth trying ⭐️👍🏻

The service is first class, the kitchen is efficient, and the food is delivered to your table at the perfect temperature. You order at the cashier, and your food is brought to your table. When you are finished they clear the table. Black Rooster Taqueria is a fun place to enjoy great food.

I’ve been to the Curry Ford location and really enjoyed the tacos so we decided to try the Mills location. It’s smaller but has a great vibe and as a bonus is next to The Guesthouse. We ordered an assortment of tacos including the, black rooster asada, achiote pork, carne asada, crispy fish and smoked beef brisket. We also started with the fresh guacamole and chips. All were savory and delicious. Just as good as the other location. I’d definitely return again. ETA: I stopped in during the holiday season on a chilly, Florida night for the seasonal Mexican hot chocolate. It’s smooth and delicious.

This is easily one of my favorite spots in Orlando! The vibe is great and the food is fantastic! I love to bring family when they're in town. My favorite is the ahi Tuna ceviche or the Black rooster asada taco. Seating is first come first served with no reservations. The tortillas are made fresh and all the ingredients are fresh as well. My only hiccup with the place is that parking is really hard to find. The lot behind the building is always taken up cause there is a club next door and sometimes you have to park 10 minutes away cause that's the closest parking. Besides that this is a great place and I can't recommend it more!

I came around 1 p.m. on a Wednesday in June and while it was a bit busy - understandable given the business area - it’s well worth the wait. Everything is made fresh daily, and you can taste the quality in every bite. My total was around $25 for the full meal, which I found to be very reasonable. All in all, this is a spot I keep coming back to - and I strongly recommend you give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Great food, great service, and a kitchen full of hard working pros. My friends order was a little behind and came out after mine. They gave us a card for free guac. It wasnt even that big a deal but they made it right anyway. A great spot to hit if you're down on mills. I'm coming back for the lunch special. That dela looks too good.

One taste of Ceviche and Nachos and you will be hooked. Unique spot, quality meals, pristine venue, passionate team. Grateful they are here on Curry Ford. outdoor seating is super relaxed.

Some really good tacos, but the corn tortillas fall apart too easily, and sometimes the meats can be over seasoned. My favorite were the crispy fish tacos. Service was friendly, and prices were reasonable. I'd come back again, but I might try some other tacos spots first.

The meatball is alright not a fan of the flavors but it was not bad, the black rooster steak taco needed more cheese not enough, the shrimp and chorizo taco were a good portion size but they were okay. The pulled pork tacos were outstanding! Not dry and great in flavor, the tamale was absolutely amazing in every way. I would go back just for those. Service was great as well and fast while they were full.

Maybe I shoulda got a quesadilla lol but the corn tortilla was phenomenal. It would have been a subpar taco without it. And they included the lime. Will be back to try some something else during happy hour

We ordered an assortment of dishes and drinks. Overall, the food was delicious. The tacos had a good ratio of fillings to tortillas - which they were pressing on-site. The flavors were reasonably authentic and everything tasted fresh. We only found the Pozole to be slightly salty but, it was a generous and comforting portion. The Margaritas seemed pre-mixed but, they were actually quite enjoyable. The staff were really diligent but, with so many orders coming left and right, the service experienced minor hiccups. That said, we definitely recommend checking it out.

They have a ton of different taco options too, so you're bound to find something you'll like. They even have vegetarian options too, which is nice. The service is fast too.

We have had half a dozen meals here before and happen to be in the neighborhood and thought we would pop in. Today I will say it was more Christopher Plumber than a Chris Evans (instead of a hot kind sexy meal it was more of an old taste to it that bites later), plus the meal overall was served a bit sloppy. The Mexican hot cocoa was served in two to go cups because it was spilled all over the 1st cup it was poured into, I would have started over but maybe that is just me being picky (man I sound like super Karen)! Anyway, nachos were hot, tasty and tons of calories and we had a kale salad that they made with almost no dressing (balances out the nachos). The other five times, dialed up!!! This time…ehh.

Power, Victory, & Pride are the traits of a Black Rooster. This place hits two of those: Pride - the staff, you can tell they all believe in the food and the quality, and Power - they have a lot of reviews. The ingredients were quality but the flavor was lacking. The queso was a highlight. It was nice they don’t get too crazy with their tacos, most hipster taco places do. A simple taco done right is key, they were close; hence, not victorious over my taste buds.

Our friends love this place so they made us come here. So when you come in make sure you get in the black line to order or they seem to like to yell!!! It’s not a big restaurant so eating here it’s not easy to find a seat!! The music is loud and now I get why the feeling they got to yell. The floor is sticky when you walk through which I hate. It’s definitely a busy place and a lot going on! I’m not sure how you even find a place to stand to wait for a table or food without getting scolded. So you have to stand in the hall by the trash to wait for a table or food. The table we finally got was dirty and sticky. The food I think is organic and cheap for Tacos. We ordered before friends and here we wait and wait and wait and come to find out it was under the counter… hmmm happy no. When they called our name we even waved they acknowledged us but apparently still didn’t think we ordered I guess. At the end good thing we asked what happened to the order. Now to the food! The chicken tacos were good with corn tortilla shell. The tamale was good with tender meat. Overall the food is good but parking not the best It’s dark lots behind it so good luck.

Service and ambiance was great, restaurant is kinda small. If you have a party bigger then 4 your most likely going to be out of luck. My expectations for food is pretty high since we go out to eat a lot, and I found the food to be okay and pricey! 5.00 a taco with todays economy better be exceptional. The basket of of 3 tacos I ordered, the first one left to right was the brisket which was the one I can say was good! Others were average or below. Guacamole was very great, reminded me of Roccos Tacos Guacamole.

$5 for the broth . It was really a marinade. I could not drink it . Should not be sold as a drink. And 2 tacos completely fell apart at the tortilla. Messy not that great either. Sorry I wanna support local but also don’t waste your money.

This establishment is not consistent. I tried them for the first time in April, sat at the window countertop and the fresh food was quite tasty. The issue? They’ve yet to provide similar service since then. Offering to go options but then providing poor service on those orders, it creates a reality where an establishment is charging a finer price but serving in similar style to Taco Bell. Poor experience here at Orlando City game. Ordered two beef nachos @ $16 each. It was backed up and they had us wait on the side. Another 10 min after the order, It got so busy with people waiting…

If you are trying to avoid microplastics this is not your taco place. They pour hot cooked meat into plastic bagged lined stainless steel bins to avoid clean up. You can see for yourself. Ordered to go but decided to eat there. I picked up my tacos as soon as they were ready and they were so cold. One worker makes about 15 tacos at a time and is the reason why everything was so cold. They also didn’t give me any of the salsa I ordered so just make sure you check your bag. Don’t order the smoked brisket tacos, pretty sure they use liquid smoke and it just taste like chemicals.

The high reviews had brought us here. After spending $50 on tacos / ceviche and beer. I can honestly say this is one of the worst tacos I have ever had. Tacos cold .0 flavor. “Crispy fish” was soggy. I guess not everything you read online is true.
