Our Waiters were very professional and fast. The Menu offers a Great selection of seafood dishes. All ordered foods were hot and fresh and tasted delicious and good quality. Great experience! David was our server and was so attentive. Food was fresh- we loved the dip and the coconut shrimp. 10/10 would come back on a future trip!
Levon was so amazing! filled our drinks without even asking, always checked in with us, and great quotes on the bibs! He made our experience the best, and went out of his way to be amazing! Truly an amazing server and great food.
This was my first time here and I loved it! My husband and I had the seafood boil. Cajun and spicy! So flavorful and delish. Debbie took care of us she was great and super friendly! My drink came with a free souvenir glass cup! 10 out of 10 recommend!
Like every Joe's it was delicious. We came in after 9pm and the service was fantastic. We never felt like a burden or rushed to eat.
I am doing this review purely to kudos my server, Darrius. He was awesome. I visited the restaurant with my husband and two young children. We were greeted promptly and offered outdoor seating close to the playground.Darrius quickly grabbed our drinks, and helped us decide on an appetizer. After he put the Appetizer in, he came back and checked us. When it was time to order, he knew the menu in an out and was able to tell us what we could substitute. I love a server that knows what their restaurant offers. He was so kind and helpful. Our food was delicious and came out piping hot. Thanks Joes… till next time!
I had a wonderful time at Joe’s Crab Shack. While it wasn’t very busy, it should be. I went to Joe’s when I was 10 on a vacation but this was my first time back and as an adult. The service was excellent and incredibly helpful. Debbie was a one-of-a-kind employee who consistently went above and beyond while I was there; maintaining great conversation, positive attitude, and great service. My food and drink were excellent, making my first time having a crab boil a delightful one.
Had a great meal at Joe’s crab shack tonight!! Debbie’s recommendations were spot on and the service was fantastic! Really enjoyed the blueberry margarita and we will definitely come back again next time we’re in town!
We ate at Joe’s Crab Shack on Thursday evening. It was FANTASTIC! Maria was excellent, a great waitress and very attentive. If we had a restaurant, we would want her as an employee. Food was hot, delicious and portion sizes were spot on. We will definitely be returning.
Time for a shout out! This note is solely for our server, Darrius! He absolutely deserves a raise! Last weekend was my very first visit and I was quite impressed. I came with my cousin, it was her birthday dinner. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was full of positive energy & his attentiveness to every single detail was, by far, the best I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. He took time to make proper recommendations which prevented me from ordering something my daughter may not have liked. He even offered to rinse off a pacifier than he noticed my son dropped. I’ve never had a server so kind and generous. Darrius, I hope you get to read this! You made are night worth the drive and we hope to make many more visits
Our dining experience at Joe’s Crab Shack on I Drive in Orlando was elevated to an exceptional level thanks to our server, Josh. His outstanding attentiveness and his delightful interaction with our young nephew, complete with a whimsical drawing on his bib, made our visit truly special. Josh’s friendly conversation added a personal touch that made our meal unforgettable. The moment our dishes arrived, they were a feast for the eyes and the palate. The crab and shrimp were particularly succulent, leaving our party of six thoroughly impressed. A heartfelt five-star commendation to the chef for the exquisite food and to Josh for his exemplary service.
Great food, I suggest you come hungry.
Food was great! Service was great! Atmosphere was great! They danced, shouted when you ordered certain items and drinks, and they sang songs. It was entertaining, welcoming, and fun. You spend so much because of the nature of the money for this type of food, it felt worth it given how much they put into the experience outside of eating. We didn't get many pics but I posted one we did get.

If you don't eat anywhere else in Orlando you have to eat at Joe's. I was craving their fish platter and it did not disappoint. We also got crab boil and it was equally delicious. Make sure you get an extra side of hush Puppies.Joe's has perfected this southern culinary staple. Perfectly crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The staff is great, fast and professional. It is a bit loud. Acoustics are not good but it's an excellent venue for singles or large parties. You'll get plenty to eat and it's all good. We were so full we didn't try the desserts but maybe next time.
Shout out to our server Christopher he was very welcoming and was always making sure we had everything we needed. We had the seafood boil and it did not disappoint.( forget what specific one we had ). Will defianlty be going back our next visit.

Debbie was great! The food was amazing! Debbie’s drink suggestions were perfect along with her upbeat personality! Highly recommend Joes!

Brandon was an awesome server. Patient, awesomely polite and engaging. Chef Matt was really great with our table. We'll definitely be back! 🤩
Been to a couple joes crab shack and this one was realy nice but honestly the service set this one above all. Chris Ford the server was awesome, great attitude, quick to help with anything, me and my family felt very well taken care of.. thanks chris
My wife and I came in on a Sunday, and ordered Joe’s Classic Boil, added two Lobster Tails, but was told they were sold out. Later, the Manager went out of his way and picked up some Lobster Tails, and served them at the end of our meal. Levon was our server, and Matt was the manager, and they both provide outstanding customer service and created a great dinner experience all together for my wife and I. Not to mention, they honor military discount.
Debbie the bartender was a great server. went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed for an enjoyable meal.
One of the best Joes crab shacks I’ve been to! Crab was the right spice, hearty and delicious. Debbie was attentive, friendly, made great recommendations, and added to the great experience! Highly recommend!
Update: this is my comeback to this restaurant. Amber was awesome and always checking on us. Food and flavor got better and timing was perfect. I have been to others, but this one so far is the best. Walking distance from most hotels on I-drive. Price is ok for the area...remember, you get what you pay for. I will def come back. Highly Recommend it.
Good food. Has outdoor seating. While service is fantastic personally, it seems they could use 1 or 2 more wait staff. The ones they do have are engaging and great.
Went in for a good dinner, set at the bar and talked with the bartender most of the time he was a very great person to chat with good conversation, staff was very friendly I felt extremely comfortable the whole time I will definitely be back.
Stopped at Joe’s on our way out of Orlando and it was the best last stop on our trip. Brittany our server was so bubbly and helped accommodate my son’s needs. The food was good but we will be back because of her!
What a nice place they have . The last time at a Joe's Crab Shack was Daytona . Both very nice . The waiter named was Allen ! We have been in Florida for two weeks now on Vacation and I think he has been the best waiter yet ! Thanks Allen you need a raise ! The food was fantastic. The shrimp were cooked just right and the clams were the best I've had in a long time . If you need lunch or dinner stop in for some Great food . They have a nice place to eat outside under cover .
Visited for our very first time on spring break! Nicole took the best care of us and gave us the best suggestions. Best server we’ve had at any restaurant ever. Very friendly atmosphere and the food was TOP TIER. Shout out to the bar tender. The drinks were creative and delicious. The place is fire!
Stopped in here for a bite a few days ago, it’s conveniently only a 2 minute walk from ICON park and the food is delicious. Great ambiance and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Even though there weren’t that many people when we went, the food took quite a while to be prepared and brought out. Good experience nonetheless.
Debbie has crabs and lots of them so dig in! This place is family friendly and the food is top notch. Make sure you give her the whole tip, something to remember you by.
Came with my mom to try out the July Shark Fest Menu. She had the 'Sailor's Plate' with shrimp 3 different ways over rice and fries. I had the parmesan crusted flounder with grilled shrimp and linguine alfredo over asparagus. Big plate sizes and good prices. Great taste for both plates. Brandon was of great service to us.
Jordy and David were so accommodating. I am allergic to all shell fish. They went out of their way to make salmon for me by broiling it instead of cooking it on the grill. Thanks so much guys!
This was the 2nd time in just over a week. Absolutely loved the stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp. Debbie, was so helpful and personable. She went out of her way to get us exactly what we wanted for dinner. Thank you Debbie!
Levon was a great waiter, helped us with special requests and meal alterations. The general manager was also very helpful in answering any of our questions and dealing with coupons and rewards.
It’s always a good time and good food here. No wait even when it’s in a hot touristic location. I particularly like looking around and reading the signs. It feels very “Key-Westy” to me, and that’s a good thing. My kids love breaking those crab legs. There is no blue crab. I didn’t see blue crab in the menu but it’s all good nonetheless.
we recently took a girls weekend trip to Orlando. and our waitress was absolutely amazing, she had the best energy and was so helpful, the food was outstanding, very clean restaurant, my granddaughter went crazy for the smores cake, infact the portion was so huge that all 3 of us enjoyed it, we had an absolute great time, I wish I could recall our servers name, she was the best
David Speach, took care of us after closing. He was the best. Made our whole night a very memorable: would come back again and again.
Chris Ford was our server and he was the most attentive, kind, sweet server we have ever had! Go see Chris! I would add photos but we ate too fast!
My family and I had an amazing time at Joe’s Crab Shack! Our server Maria was amazing! She was very attentive to our needs throughout our dining experience. She was prompt in taking our orders, refilling drinks, and checking in on the table. She went above and beyond to make our dining experience one to remember. The food was delicious. It came out hot, seasoned well, and was a good portion size. Thank you Maria!
We were visiting from Canada and we always have to come here every time we come to Florida. I cannot say enough good things about this locations food and service . Debbie our server was amazing and made sure to take care of us and made us feel at home. We hope to come back here one day!
We had the best experience tonight from the drinks , appetizers , main course and the desserts ! The s’mores were incredible ! Our waiter Keith was the best waiter - friendly and offered suggestions. Chris the manager was working so hard with his staff to make customers happy and was so busy scrambling all over to make others a comfortable experience ! Cannot wait to come back to Orlando from Toronto, Canada!
I’ve been coming here for years when visiting Florida this by far was our best experience Levon energy was amazing for our family he was nothing but helpful with our 5 kids and understood children our visit last year wasn’t the same but the food is always good that’s why we come back I recommend Levon as your waiter if have children I don’t even leave reviews but he made the atmosphere perfect for our family
The atmosphere was great. Our server Levon, was outstanding, he was top tier. Everyone was friendly and gracious. Only things that fell a little short was the crabs were as fresh as they could have been. Eggs seemed old and the amount of sausage and shrimp could have a little larger. My crabs didn't crack like they should have when opening them. With fresh crabs the meat slides out easier. I think I got about 6 shrimps and about 2 inches of sausage. Other than that the food was good.
We came down for a week and on our last night decided to come here and all I can say is it was probably the best not that we had a bad meal anywhere else, but this was probably the best. What made it even better was we had a server that was out of this world, her name is Brittany H and I would like to give a shout out. She was very friendly and attentive. I think she went above and beyond most servers.
Our go-to seafood when visiting USA. Consistent and great food. They gave us a whole corn and a reasonable amount of calamari unlike that canadian joint i reviewed earlier. We asked for boiled crab and we got exactly what we wanted without additional flavor mixed into our food. The crab came in a plastic bag but atleast they emptied the content into a large plate. Love that yellow tool. The salmon was cooked perfectly, still moist and flaky and seasoned well. Happy family, happy customer. Save your canadian money and skip cap'n boil and come to Joe's Crab Shack.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful if we had an issue or a problem with something. It's been several years since we invaded Joe's and still love this place. Would recommend it to anybody that is on I Drive in Orlando.
Darius was amazing knew what we liked and what was amazing to eat. His suggestions were spot on and the drinks surely the best we had while visiting Orlando. Has really great taste and knows what we should order. Best time, hope that you train all your people like this.
Levon was an amazing server. Very attentive and friendly. Would not mind getting him again on our next trip to joes. As always the food was amazing
Hadn't eaten at a Joe's Crab Shack in quite awhile, we hit this place around 2pm for a late lunch and had the place to ourselves basically. Parking was no problem considering it's right on International Dr. The food surprised me, better and served hotter then I expected. I was impressed with the quality and service. Would stop here again.
My husband and I ate at Joe's Crab Shack on Nov. 10th. Our server, Chris Ford, was amazing. He shared his expertise on menu items, was friendly and made an effort to get to know us. It was a wonderful dinner experience for our short vacation.
Between the food and our server, Darius, we had a wonderful time at Joe’s! The food came quickly and tasted delicious. Darius was very attentive and hilarious: my water glass was never left empty!
Our family from WV is vacationing to FL. The seafood was awesome. The waiter, who serves us, I feel his not professional. The reason I say that is because his taking everybody's order. When it came to me, he said, "You, then I told him what i wanted to order. No respect at all! Not courtesy, not friendly. Service is not good.

As a kid growing up, Joe’s Crab Shack was our go-to spot for birthdays and special occasions. It’s been years since I’ve had the chance to enjoy Joe’s, since most of the locations near me have closed. I stopped by this location hoping to relive a little nostalgia, and it did not disappoint! The food was so good that I came back two more times. A big thank-you to Debbie for making each visit memorable, and to Joe’s for keeping the classics consistent while adding some fun new surprises over the 15 years since my last visit!
Joe’s was great, solid choice for some good casual seafood but I’m really here to rave on Darius, our server. What a gem. He was so friendly and warm, he had us rolling with his deadpan delivery of jokes. Made our already pleasant time even better. Thank you!
During a recent visit to Joe's Crab Shack, I had a truly exceptional experience. As a New Englander with a discerning palate for shellfish, I was thoroughly impressed. I arrived during happy hour and was able to enjoy several refreshing, ice-cold beers and a generous portion of chilled peel-and-eat shrimp, all at a very competitive price point. The shrimp, in particular, was notably fresh and flavorful. For my main course, I selected the snow crab, which was served with red potatoes, corn, and a boiled egg. The portion size was substantial, and I found it to be a satisfying meal. My server, Micky, despite the busy environment, provided outstanding service, consistently checking on my needs and ensuring my comfort. A highlight of my visit was the interaction with the manager. Upon learning of my specific preferences regarding shellfish preparation, he promptly returned approximately 15-20 minutes later with fresh butter and an additional, complimentary order of crab legs, prepared precisely to my specifications. This level of personalized attention and proactive service represents, in my opinion, the zenith of customer care. Such exemplary service is rarely encountered. I wholeheartedly endorse this particular Joe's Crab Shack location on International Drive.
Was looking for a fun place to eat to bring back some memories. Glad we chose Joe's. Great atmosphere for the family, friendly attentive service, clean environment and good freshly prepared food. My daughter loved our waiter. He really paid attention to the random requests of a toddler, lol. We even met the GM who came to our table to ensure our experience was as expected. Hands down a ton of fun and good food. If your hungry on International Drive, EAT AT JOE'S 😋
Really enjoyed the food and the staff were very friendly. We came here twice during our vacation because our first time was so nice! The kids meals are nice and fairly priced. Our little one really liked the paint a crab and had a wonderful time! We really liked the seafood boils and the portion size is great.

The food was alright. Everything was pretty expensive. But all the food is pretty filling. The atmosphere is very lively and the manager and servers are generous and kind. There is an option to sit outside and there is a great view of Icon park. The weather in Orlando in April/March is really nice.
The restaurant has plenty of seating, and the staff are friendly. The shrimp is delicious and tender, with just the right amount of sauce. The steak tastes pretty good, though it’s a little bit tough.

Haven't been in about 2 years. We walked in to order a to-go order, place was packed. There were a lot of people waiting to get seats. The bar staff were great and took our order quickly. We waited maybe 10-12 minutes for our food. However, once reaching the car we realized they didn't give us any napkins, silverware, or side condiments as requested and it was pouring down rain. We ended up going back in to get them. Overall it was a good experience. Bathrooms needed some cleaning, but weren't as bad as I thought it would be. Staff all had masks on. Great food!
The food and atmosphere were both amazing. We were seated very quickly the server was knowledgeable and friendly and checked back in with us several times refilling our drinks and making sure that everything met our expectations. I thought that the portion should have been bigger based on the price but even considering that I would highly recommend this spot to others
Friendly service, good food and a so so performance on getting the wait staff to do "the dance" but some friendly patrons attempted to fill in. The food was good and we didn't wait at all which is the best part of hitting up Orlando in the off season! I can't recall the name of the dish I had but bacon wrapped scallops, fish and chips and (the best part) stuffed shrimp with some jalapeno mixture. They were very good!
Food was absolutely amazing!! Service was so-so had to wait on refills for drinks, looked like some big wigs came in, for a inspection or something and could tell it really had the workers on edge and worked up, which killed the atmosphere!! And possibly was some of the reason service wasn't the best! On a bright note food was incredible, and our order was taking quickly and food came out hot, fast and fresh!! Maybe next time try to be more subtle with the meetings/inspections so to not kill the atmosphere!
I had the classic and my son had the Cajun. Joe's has changed a bit since I last ate in one years ago. But the crab was cooked better than I have eaten in years, cooked just perfectly! Our server was Debbie and she was there before we asked for anything, but not obtrusive at all. Overall, it was a great experience! I'd give them all tens but those are very hard to get from me these days.
Sick place. The atmosphere and aesthetic are on point for a beach/ocean vibe. However, some of their food is just alright. The seafood is their specialty and is amazing, but their other food is alright. I ordered the chicken sandwich and wasn’t overly “wowed” by it. Their specialty as a seafood restaurant is gonna be seafood, obviously, so I wasn’t expecting an 11/10 chicken sandwich from a seafood place. The fries were pretty good though. Service was a little slow as well, but they were somewhat busy, so it’s understandable. The server had high energy and was friendly. Would recommend it, but just know that their “food-in-the-sea” options are leaps and bounds better than the “food-on-land” options. 4/5
Debbie took great care of us. Matt went out of his way to meet our needs and everyone was very helpful. Food was great. Did have some supply chain issues.
They were short staffed, but the service was still good and the staff was really nice & attentive. The food was disappointing. One of my shrimp dishes was over-fried and inedible, the rice was hard and the fries were cold & mediocre. The good thing was the price, which I thought was reasonable. However, to get better food, I'd be willing to pay more.
The got rid of the steam pots which I am upset about. They substituted the steam pots for a seafood boil, its not the same it doesn't even taste as good. I was so heartbroken why would they want to be like everyone else.
The salmon was over cooked even though I asked for it to be medium so it was sent back when the server started to disagree then I stated if this is how you cook upon request then I will have to order something else. The server then said oh we can fix it, then came back to the table and stated the kitchen manager agreed with me that it was well done. So they did deliver a better cooked salmon however it was still not medium, but at this point I just accepted as is or we may have never eaten because they can not cook to order I guess. Haven't been back to see if it was just a moment 🤔.
Our server was pretty good, he didn’t check on us very often for refills though. The food wasn’t good at all. I’d honestly rather have had Captain D’s. We spent $99 as a family of four. It wasn’t worth that at all.
Heartbreaking. My biggest excitement about my recent Orlando trip was being able to visit one of my favorite all time restaurants where I discovered my love for crab legs. I was shocked when they closed their Ft. Lauderdale locations years ago and have been to many different crab restaurant’s since, developing a true passion and appreciation for great quality crab legs from MANY trial and error experiences, but that’s how it is when you’re a crab leg hunter like myself. Crab legs are a true delicacy that are either going to be on the money or NOT. There’s a fair amount of grey area where they can still be good enough to eat but when you consider the prices of eating crab, which are never low costing, you really shouldn’t be having to eat them in a grey or bad level of quality. For what you’ll be paying for these types of dinners, all I can say is that it better be worth the money because otherwise you’ll be looking at a very expensive disappointment and who wants to end up like that, right? Well, unfortunately this time around, it was my turn to strike out. Very surprised by how disappointing my experience was. I ordered the king crab legs with 1/2 lb. Shrimp and let’s start with the shrimp that was so bad I couldn’t even eat it, and I really like shrimp a lot. So if I couldn’t make myself eat it, then yea there was something very no bueno going on. Now to the legs, first bite from the knuckle was pretty decent but from there once I started getting into the legs it was going downhill into that grey zone that you’re hoping to avoid. It was edible, so-so, but definitely not good enough to get that wonderful crab experience that your excited about when you know your going for crab legs and I hate to sound too harsh but there sauce flavors that the legs were in was a complete flatline, no flavor whatsoever. More disappointment not so much yum yum. Very sad. Fortunately, the saving grace was the world’s greatest dessert of any restaurant anywhere, and yes Joe’s is the only restaurant that has it, the crème de la crème, the holy grail of the desert world, the SMORES BROWNIE WITH MARSHMALLOWS AND ICE CREAM. No other restaurant makes this desert like joe’s, and it NEVER FAILS. Even after a letdown experience, that desert is so great it can bring the dead back to life. Absolute success every time, thank goodness. The manager did speak to us at our table and showed sincere concern and effort to try and fix the issues but it was already too late. Eating crab is great but you definitely don’t want to over do it cuz then it stops being great. Hopefully the next time I’m in town I’ll have a much better story to tell. Peace.
Such a disappointment. We used to come here every vacation, and it’s really gone down hill. The wait was extremely long for everything! (The restaurant was only about 1/2 full). I asked for unsweetened tea, got sweet. I ordered cheese bread for an appetizer, never got it. I ordered a queen crab boil, didn’t get an egg. They were out of bibs, (not a big deal)Then ordered the s’mores for dessert and it came out burnt. We came, we saw, we ate. Won’t be back. Sad. We really loved this place.

Horrible on 7/12/2025. What a difference ca year makes. On 4/12/ 2024 The food was spectacular. The shrimp was fried to perfection. We are here in Orlando for hubby’s 64th Birthday. Everywhere we’ve gone so far to eat has been great THANK YOU ALEX. We live in the ATL hmm ?? lol. !!! I’m so glad I didn’t go by the reviews . Our food was very good !!!! A great experience. 4/13/24 @ 11:45. 5 star at this visit 2 stars ————- 7/12/2025. This visa should have gone by reviews . The food sucked. It was cold. It wasn’t nothing like when we were there last year.. Last pic 7/12/2025. Horrible. My hubby said, never again.Absolutely horrible !!! Waste of money. Go elsewhere !!
Food was good and you get decent portions. Have been going to Joes crab Shack for years- since I was little. We were baffled by the prices. When asking about crab and everything being marked over $40 and $50 Thai definitely isn’t a place for families. The server Omar was awful. The host had more pep in his step and energy and we were promised the best service by Omar from the host. He was awkward, slow and hardly returned to the table. The specialty menus didn’t even have prices so every item we’re asking about prices so we aren’t surprised when we see the bill. Just don’t think it was worth what I paid for. I ordered the fish fry as pictured and the fish was maybe an inch thick but most of that being the breading.
Took my son for his birthday because he wanted crab legs when we got there the restaurant wasn't busy at all it took us over 15 minutes to get drinks then we waited an hour to get our food. The manager let us know that something happened in the kitchen so it took us over an hour to get our food when we got our food we couldn't eat the seafood pasta because it had mussel shells all in it we couldn't eat our steamed shrimp because they were so tough from being overcooked. They were not busy whatsoever. When I asked to speak to the manager they got my bill all mixed up on top of my kid didn't get it a great birthday dinner like he should have been singing happy birthday or a piece of cake I would have paid for it instead we got ignored we finally got up and walked to the register ourselves instead there until someone helped us I do not recommend this place whatsoever I will never be back my kids birthday dinner was ruined
The decor of this place is amazing. You get quickly transported to a shack next to a tropical beach. Service was great. Went in for dinner and the place was empty which is not a good sign especially on this tourist area. The calamari entry was hard to chew and horrible. I should have complained but I was not in the mood to argue. The lobster and shrimp was ok but lacked freshness taste plus I expected bigger tails to par with the price of the plate. Overall it was way too expensive compared with other seafood chains. I won’t be coming back to this place. Tourists stay away! Go to Bone Fish Grill or Red Lobster a few blocks away.
No ma’am. This was not it. The happy hour drinks were weak. We had the margaritas and a vodka and tonic, and neither tasted good. The stuffed mushrooms were so bad that we sent them back. The nachos were blah at best. We all had the crab boil with Dungeness and shrimp and snow and none of it was good. The sauce was weak and the seafood was not fresh. I am so disappointed at the quality of this Joes . And to top it all off it was hot. The bartender tried to turn a fan on for us because something was wrong with their air-conditioning, but it’s just too hot to not have AC working. I do not recommend.

I had a bad experience, ordered a steak medium well and shrimp. The shrimp were overcooked and chewy like rubber. And the steak was double well done. I do not recommend this place.
35 minutes to get draft beers to the table, and the place was not busy at all. Over an hour from ordering to get food, 1/2 the food was cold and my dinner was $70! The servers were doing their best, but good grief, I felt bad for them. No time to clear empties, no check backs…they just didn’t have enough help and the manager was MIA. This place is a disaster…
As a lover of seafood and a connoisseur of dining experiences, I embarked upon what I anticipated to be a delightful evening at Joe's Crab Shack. However, what unfolded was a calamity of epic proportions, leaving me utterly dismayed and regretful of ever setting foot in that establishment. Prepare yourself for a harrowing tale of abysmal service, repulsive food quality, and an overall dining debacle that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. Let me set the stage for this gastronomic nightmare. Upon entering Joe's Crab Shack, I was greeted not by the inviting aroma of freshly cooked seafood, but rather by an atmosphere of chaos and disorganization. The ambiance was lackluster, reminiscent of a poorly managed cafeteria rather than a reputable dining establishment. Despite the initial signs of trouble, I optimistically took my seat, hoping that the culinary delights promised by the menu would salvage the evening. Alas, my hopes were quickly dashed as I waited a staggering twenty minutes before a waitress even deigned to acknowledge our presence. Twenty minutes may not seem like an eternity in the grand scheme of things, but in the realm of restaurant service, it felt like an eternity spent in purgatory. During this interminable wait, I watched with growing disbelief as other tables around me grew restless, some even abandoning their meals and exiting in frustration. It was a clear indication that I was not alone in my suffering. When our waitress finally sauntered over, her demeanor was as lackadaisical as her tardiness suggested. There was no hint of apology or remorse for the unconscionable delay. Instead, she took our orders with all the enthusiasm of someone punching in numbers at a cash register. It was evident from her indifferent attitude that customer satisfaction was not a priority at Joe's Crab Shack. Now, let us turn our attention to the pièce de résistance—or should I say, the pièce de répugnance—of the evening: the food. Oh, where do I even begin? The dishes that emerged from the kitchen were an insult to the very concept of culinary excellence. The seafood, purportedly the highlight of the menu, was nothing short of revolting. The crab legs were overcooked and rubbery, as if they had been boiled in a cauldron of despair. The shrimp cocktail was limp and lifeless, a sad excuse for a seafood appetizer. Even the side dishes, such as the coleslaw and French fries, lacked flavor and finesse. It was as if the kitchen staff had collectively decided to sabotage every dish before it reached the table. As I forced myself to choke down each bite of the abomination masquerading as a meal, I couldn't help but feel a sense of profound disappointment. Here I was, expecting a culinary voyage of epic proportions, only to be served a plateful of mediocrity and misery. It was a betrayal of the highest order, leaving me questioning the very foundation of my faith in the restaurant industry. To add insult to injury, the service throughout the meal was nothing short of abysmal. Our waitress, who had already proven herself to be woefully incompetent, disappeared for extended periods, leaving us to fend for ourselves like shipwreck survivors adrift at sea. Requests for condiments and drink refills went unanswered, further exacerbating our growing sense of disillusionment. It was abundantly clear that the staff at Joe's Crab Shack were more interested in clocking out than ensuring the satisfaction of their patrons. In conclusion, if you value your sanity and cherish your taste buds, steer clear of Joe's Crab Shack at all costs. Save yourself the anguish and heartache of a dining experience gone awry. There are plenty of seafood restaurants out there that value customer satisfaction and take pride in their culinary creations. Joe's Crab Shack, unfortunately, is not one of them. Consider yourself warned.
As an Orlando local, I must say; my wife and I generally shy away from the tourist-built restaurants on I-drive. We stopped by after a long day at Seaworld and this place had a playground. As I looked over the menu, I was ready to jump on the King's Feast. Unfortunately I was unable to taste it. We came across a long hair fried into our calamari (see pictures). We then decided to cut our visit short. We understand these things occasionally happen, but we had lost our appetite. The calamari was obviously removed from the bill as my wife had only one piece (she stated as a previous reviewer that it had little seasoning/flavor), so we were only charged our drinks. After we closed out our tab, I asked the server (Jessica, who was great) to retrieve the manager. I was dissappointed the manager (who was made aware of the incident because he needed to void the food) chose not to come out to speak on behalf of the restaurant and take accountability. I told Matt (the manager) of his missed opportunity to at the very least try to salvage a customer. He then asked to allow him to make it up; to which I replied he was too late. I was the one to call him out. Clearly not a place I would return. I would urge corporate to train leadership on proper hospitality strategy.
Our family visited this establishment yesterday and I have got to say this had to be one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. We started by going up to the host and asked for the wait time he said “about 10 min” we were like okay that’s not too bad. We waited right over to the side of the lobby where the t shirts were. It was now approaching a 35 min wait. So my mom asked the host how much longer under the name we provided. This man says he has been looking for us. NO! he never called our name we were literally right next to him. So he brings us to a table where we waited another 10 min for the server to arrive. At that point we knew our entire order so we just ordered everything at once thinking it would come out a lot sooner. Our server was very flustered he took for ever to bring our drinks out. He kept blaming on it being more busy than normal. He Forgot to bring out my husband’s drink where he didn’t get that one for like 15 min. He brought my kids their drinks in regular cups so you know that’s a spill waiting to happen. Then time went by no apps. Nothing. It took over an hour to get our food. And the best part was my mom and brother never got their food. He gave us “complimentary” chowders. But still never acknowledged the fact that they never got their food. He also didn’t bring all of the apps we ordered. All in all it was a horrible experience. $154 for that? No one comped anything for us. There was no manager in site which was ridiculous. We will never go back there.
